Yu frowned as he packed up his things before getting up only for the girl in the green jacket and the girl with long dark hair walked over to him getting his attention.
"Hey, are you going home by yourself?" the girl in the green jacket asked curiously.
"Yeah, I think so." Yu nodded.
"Well, why don't you come with us?" she offered with a smile only to laugh slightly. "Oh, nearly forgot! I'm Chie Satonaka. You know I sit next to you right?"
"You do?" Yu asked before chuckling. "Of course I remember, and thanks for the save earlier."
"No problem." Chie smiled. "Somebody had to get you away from King Moron. This is my best friend, Yukiko Amagi."
"Oh, nice to meet you… Sorry that this is so sudden." the girl with long dark hair apologized.
"C'mon, don't apologize like that. It makes me look like I got no upbringing." Chie playfully pouted.
"It's really alright, I'm glad I got to meet you both. Hopefully we can become friends this year so we can survive together?" Yu joked.
"That sounds good to me. We can talk for a while." Chie grinned as they walked off only to bump into the boy who crashed his bike earlier.
"Uh, um, miss Satonaka?" he started nervously holding a DVD box. "This was really awesome. Like, the way they moved was just amazing to see… And… I'm really sorry! It was an accident! Please just have mercy until my next paycheck!"
After saying that he tried to slip away only for Chie to pursue him causing the boy to crash into a desk as Yu winced.
"What the!? I can't believe this! It's completely cracked…" Chie gasped in horror. "My 'Trial of the Dragon'…!"
Yu meanwhile winced seeing the boy in clear pain as Yukiko asked if he was ok before Chie suggested the three of them get going and left the school only for a young man wearing a different school uniform to approach them.
"You're Yuki, right? Y-You want to go hang out somewhere?" he asked suddenly.
"What? Wh-Who are you?" Yukiko inquired before more students walked out and started wondering who this strange young man was and how it was crazy for him to try and ask out Yukiko.
"Amagi challenge?" Yu asked Chie only for her to frown at the term. "Oh, got it."
"Um, s-so… are you coming or not?" the young man asked Yukiko again.
"I…I'm not going." Yukiko answered causing the young man to get angry and run off. "What did he want from me?"
"You didn't realize, he was asking you on a date." Chie explained. "You didn't realize that? Still, it was really creepy the way he just came up and called you Yuki like that."
As she said the student who broke Chie's DVD rode up on his bicycle. "Turned down another lovelorn fool Yukiko? You did the same thing to me last year."
Yukiko bllnked. "I don't remember doing that."
"Oh, then do you want to hang out sometime?" the boy inquired only for Yukiko to politely decline. "Yeah, I should have expected that. Oh well, you two be nice to the new transfer student."
With that he rode off as Chie yelled before the three of them walked off together.
"I'm guessing that kind of thing happens a lot unfortunately?" Yu guessed.
"Yeah, it does." Chie confirmed only to shake her head. "Oh yeah, why did you move to Inaba anyway, it's not exactly a bustling town."
Yu sighed at that. "It wasn't entirely my choice; it was because my parents had to work abroad."
"Oh, so it's because of your parents' job." Chie mentioned. "I thought something serious had happened."
"Right, because I'm exactly like King Moron said?" Yu asked feigning being upset. "No, but seriously, it's just because of their job. I'm only here for a year though."
"Well, there's not much to see around here." Chie admitted. "Oh, but there is the Amagi Inn."
"Amagi Inn?" Yu asked turning to Yukiko.
"It's really nothing special, it's just an old inn." Yukiko explained.
"No way, it's in all kinds of magazines as a hidden treasure. It's basically what keeps Inaba going, and Yukiko's going to take over one day." Chie smiled.
"Chie, stop it. That's not true." Yukiko mentioned quietly.
Yu frowned at that seeing Yukiko looked like she wanted to change the topic only for Chie to suddenly smirk.
"So… be honest you think Yukiko's cute right?" Chie teased causing Yukiko to gasp.
"Huh, I mean… I guess?" Yu answered uncertainly as he turned to Yukiko. "We just met today after all."
"That's right." Yukiko agreed. "Please don't do this again Chie."
"Sorry, but…" Chie started only to pause. "Huh, what's going on?"
Hearing that Yu and Yukiko turned to see what she was talking about only to overhear two women talking about how they discovered a dead body moments before Dojima noticed them and walked over to them.
"What are you doing here?" he inquired.
"Oh, sorry uncle we were just passing by and talking, is everything ok?" Yu asked.
"It isn't anything you all need to worry about, but you should head home." Dojima answered.
"Wait, you know him?" Chie asked Yu in surprise.
"Yeah, I'm staying with him for the year." Yu explained. "He's my uncle."
"Oh, well it's nice to meet you sir." Yukiko smiled politely.
"The pleasure's mine." Dojima nodded. "Oh, by the way Yu could you let Nanako know I might not be home right away so you two can start without me?"
"Sure, I'll tell her." Yu nodded before turning to Chie and Yukiko. "Nanako is my cousin, and we were planning on playing a game together this year."
The two of them nodded before they all walked off as Dojima closed his eyes in thought.

"Welcome back." Nanako smiled seeing Yu as he noticed she was holding a controller. "Do you want to play before dinner?"
"That sounds fun." Yu smiled as he sat down next to her. "Oh, but your dad won't be home right away. He… needs to work on something."
Nanako looked down before nodding. "He said he'd be home later, right?"
"Yeah, he did." Yu nodded causing Nanako to smile as the two of them started the game together.
(Yu spent a bit of time with his new classmates Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi but it was cut short by the discovery of a dead body in Inaba. Next chapter Yu will make a shocking discovery about the game he's playing with Nanako and Dojima. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)
