"Kakashi... I'm not..."

"You're a Yokai?"

His visible eye was wide as he looks at me, his hand moving to hover over his Kunai as I step forward. My eyes seeing his fear as I stop approaching. My heartbeat racing as I look at him.

"I'm not like the others... Please you have to believe me..."

My tone shows no sign of aggression as I take another step forward, Kakashi grabbing his Kunai and taking a defensive stance. I stop again, my feet cold on the floor as I bow my head, my hands clutching at the pants and shirt the medical ninja changed me into. My gaze drifting to see Jiraiya, Guy, Naruto and Kit peaking into the doorway. My Fox immediately jumping from the boys arms and crouching low in front of me. Growling loudly at Kakashi.

"What the hell is going on? Kakashi-Sensei why are you holding your Kunai?"

Naruto asks as he steps inside the room, his sensei never looking away from me.

"She has a fox spirit inside her."

He says calmly, Jiraiya and Guy's eyes widening as they look at me. Naruto however, he just stands there - his body still.

"Naruto... I never expected to find you when I came here. I swear..."

"I think you need to come with us."

The Sage steps forward and I take a step back, my eyes glancing over to the window behind me as Kit growls, his form growing in size in a matter of seconds - Blocking their way to me. His eight foot frame towering over them as he slowly backs up when I reach over to the window, sliding it open as I move to perch on the edge.

"Aimi wait! Please!"

Naruto yells over Kit as I look back, meeting his eyes. I know that look all too well, it's a look of wanting to have answers. To know that there's someone else out there that's like you... That you aren't alone.

"I'm glad that they accept you here Naruto... Never take it for granted. Not for one second."

I turn and leap out the window, my body weightless for a few moments, Kit moving in a blur behind me and bursting through the window, his giant form shattering the glass as I land on the ground. My bare feet digging into the grass as I sprint away from the hospital, my fox right on my heal as the others gaze down at me from above. The boys face was all I could see, his eyes... I can't get that look out my head.

I continue to sprint into the night, tears streaming from my eyes as I kept my eyes forward. Just trying to get out of this damned village in one piece.

I'm crouched in the bushes, taking cover as Kit remains low to the ground next to me. Back to his smaller form to try and avoid any extra attention. It was raining now and the weird pajamas I was wearing were soaked through. My hair clinging to my scalp as I shiver at the cold.

"I don't know how we're going to get out of this one Kit… This was a mistake coming here… Please forgive me..."

I gaze down to him as he places his wet paw on my knee, comforting me as he communicates. My body moving deeper into the bushes as I watch a bunch of Jonin blur past, my eyes looking at the only damn path out of the village. Which they had pretty much sealed off.

"I don't want to fight our way out but I'm not sure they're giving us much of a choice."

I whisper to him and he whines, my gaze closely scanning our surroundings before I move again. Running across the grass as I jump up into a tree, Kit landing beside me on the branch as I try not to panic.

"How are we supposed to prove to them that we are a good spirit, when they basically hunt us down? All they need are pitchforks and torches and we'd have ourselves a good old fashioned mob."

My ears pick up on movement coming our way and Kit and I dive from the tree, a Kunai with a paper bomb landing on the branch we were just on.

"Shit…"

The paper explodes, knocking us both back in the air, the heat from the explosion warm against my wet clothes as I land a little heavily on the pathway, coming up into a roll as my small fox transforms into his giant self again. Slowly circling me.

"Is that necessary?"

I ask, knowing Kakashi was out there somewhere, hiding in the shadows as I look around. The rain getting heavier as I hear thunder in the distance.

"You're a threat to this village."

He says over the sound of the rain drops pounding the pavement as he steps into view.

"I'm a threat? How am I a threat? The nine tailed fox in Naruto is more dangerous than I am."

Kit growls as more ninja drop in a circle around me. Jiraiya and Guy among them.

"What do I have to do to show you I'm different? If I was so dangerous, don't you think you'd all have heard of me by now? Heard of the destruction? The death?"

I yell as lightening flashes in the sky, the thunder rumbling over us as the rain continues to pour.

"We have to contain you, we can't risk it!"

Jiraiya shouts, my head turning to glance at him over my shoulder as I continue to shiver, the cold deep in my bones now.

"Don't do this… I don't want to hurt anyone…"

I look back toward Kakashi, my eyes lifting to see an orange blur as Naruto lands directly in front of me, his arms spread wide as he tries to shield me.

"Stop!! You can't do this!"

"Move out the way Naruto…"

Kakashi says, his tone serious as I look at the boy. Kit keeping an eye out on those behind me.

"She protected me! How can you say that she's a bad person, that she enjoys killing when she risked her life for mine!"

What the hell is he doing? He's going to get himself hurt if he carry's on.

"Naruto… You shouldn't be here."

I say quietly to him, my eyes softening as he looks ahead.

"If you want her, you'll have to go through me first."

My eyes widen at the boy's courage, the Jonin around us muttering to each other as Kakashi moves closer.

"I won't ask again Naruto. Move out the way."

"And I told you, I'm not going anywhere."

The boy does some hand signs. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Kit turns his head as multiple versions of Naruto appear around me. My eyes widening as I gaze down at him, his confidence and determination to try and save me… I don't know what to say.

"None of you understands how it feels to be treated like a monster! None of you understand how it feels to be cut off from everyone because they fear what you are!"

My eyes fill with tears as I listen to him, his tone showing to me that he has felt the struggles I have. The pain… I know how it feels to be so young and have people avoid getting too close. Human contact is still something that is strange to me. At least he seems to have friends here. I'm glad to see that.

"Naruto…"

"Give her a chance!"

Thunder rumbles again as I continue to shiver, tears streaming down my face as I let out a quiet sob, my knees buckling as I drop to the ground, my head in my hands.

"Aimi…"

I listen to the boy as I cry, the Jonin around us quiet as he turns. His hand on my shoulder before he hugs me. The clones disappearing in a puff of smoke as Kit whines behind me, his ears back as I just cry in the kids arms.

"Does she really look like a monster to you right now?"

He speaks to them all again, my eyes gazing up at the boy as he gives me that cheeky smile.

"Maybe… Maybe we were too hasty in our decision Kakashi?"

Jiraiya speaks, his voice sounding nearer than before.

"Let's get you somewhere warm and dry? If you'd like to share your story with us, we'd love to hear it."

The Sage says as I look up at him, my eyes drifting around to see the sad expressions of the other Jonin. My eyes finally falling on Kakashi as he watches from a far. Suspicion still in his eyes.

"I… I'm not sure."

I whisper as Jiraiya extends his hand out to me to help me off the ground. I look at it for a moment, my fox watching closely to make sure it's not some trap.

"Naruto can come too if it'll make you feel better?"

The Sage says, sensing my hesitation as I slowly place my hand in his as he pulls me to my feet. My arms wrapping around myself as I shiver against the cold, my clothes clinging to me from the rain.

"You coming Kakashi-Sensei?"

Naruto asks as he watches his teacher walk towards us. Nodding but remaining quiet as Jiraiya leads us away. Kit following close behind us.
