Route 1

"So, you lied to me? Didn't you?" Adrien asked the girl in front of him. His tears fell out as he felt the whole world crushing on him. Weighing on his shoulders was the heavy sadness and anger that accumulated in his emotions. "ANSWER ME, MARINETTE?!"

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry? Would that cut out how you lied to everyone, including me?!"

Marinette cried, repeating her apology again and again. "I promised him, Adrien! I promised your father that I will not tell you that he-"

"That he was Monarch? Marinette, no, should I call you Ladybug as well?" Adrien can't believe that the person he loves the most will keep secrets from him. Most importantly about his dead father. He looked at the paper full of evidence. "I can't believe you of all people will do this to me…."

"I'm really sorry. But I promised him, Adrien. I'm-"

"Stop!" He yelled at her. Marinette flinched as tears fell down. She wasn't used to Adrien's anger. This is her first time seeing him like this.

Adrien held himself to the table and didn't look at her. "Can you leave me alone?"

Marinette didn't hesitate. "If that's what you want, I'll go and leave you alone. Don't do anything stupid. Je t'aime."

She left before he could say anything back to her. His heart is in chaos. His mind is in a mess. But all he knows is that he needs her. How could he say that when she hurt him this deeply?

But he is stupid.

A fool that made stupid things happen and now as they fought the new villain who held the butterfly miraculous, he made things worse. Worser that he thought it and he is stupid for that.

He did stupid things that almost destroyed the world.

"Milady!" He screamed as flames went through the place. Debris fell down from building to building as screams rang through the whole Paris. "MILADY! NO!"

He is stupid.

He laid on the floor full of wounds. He can't keep up to her limping figure as Ladybug got his ring. Ladybug smiled warmly back to her partner, the person she loves the most. However, she has duties and that responsibility has many lives on her plate, waiting to be saved.

He is stupid.

"If you do this- If you do this, there's a price to pay," He stuttered as blood flowed out of his wounds and coughed up some blood from his lungs. "Milady, listen to me! Please!"

"Always remember my name, Adrien," She said. "I love you."

"No, no, no! Don't do this, MARINETTE!"

Light started flowing as she spoke words to call upon the being called Gimmi, the kwami of reality, from the fusion of Tikki and Plagg. He tried to walk to Marinette but the barrier won't let him in. He kept banging on the barrier but nothing worked. Adrien screamed her name but she didn't look at him as she whispered her wish to Gimmi.

He is stupid.

"I love you, forever and ever. Us and against the world," She mumbled loudly as she took one last look at him.

He can't. He couldn't let her do the wish. No! Stop!

"I'll always be with you," She cried with a bitter smile written on her face. "I have to leave you behind, my chaton."

"Marinette! No! No! Please! Don't do this to me!"

Marinette knew this will be the last time they'll see each other. She told her wish and that wish comes with a price. She wiped her tears and bravely stood in front of Gimmi. A price to pay to save everyone she loves.

"I'm ready."

"Mari-!"

Before he could call her name again, a loud explosion of light enveloped everything it swallowed. Everything changed and he woke up with no memories of being a hero nor the existence of his lover.
