After showing Danny around, he returns to the hotel surprisingly calm. Or that's how he looked on the outside. Inside, he was freaking out. What was he doing in hell?! WHY is he here? For all his life, he was told that hell was a bad place for people that do bad things. Sure, he wasn't the greatest person, but he never did anything bad. At least, he didn't think so.
"Danny?"
He looked up and saw Charlie, who had a worried look on her face.
"Sorry about that Charlie. Just trying to wrap my head around things." Danny sighs.
"Like what?" Charlie asked.
Danny wasn't sure about telling her, but out of all demons, even being the daughter of the devil, there was something about her that he trusted.
"First, I need to know this. Are you aware I'm human?" He asked, getting a nod.
"Okay," Danny said, turning back.
"Wow," She said.
"Second, do you really want to help others redeem themselves?" Danny asked, hearing some demons and sinners dismiss her idea.
"I do. I'm tired of seeing my people killed every year because hell gets more sinners than angels." Charlie said, looking sad.
Danny could tell she was acting more like a princess that care more about her people than rather herself. Made him glad she was that kind of princess and not the other.
"I'm trying my best. My dad taught me not to take shit from anyone, but I really want to help everyone." Charlie said, looking away.
"Vaggie told me about your way of getting everyone on the idea. And that you broke into song when she told you not to." Danny said, having spoken to her a little bit during breakfast.
Charlie blushed at that.
"I couldn't help it. I sometimes get so happy I brush into song." Charlie said.
"Reminds me of those musical movies I wanted," Danny said, thinking.
"While I can't say I agreed or disagree with your ways, I think I got the message that everyone else missed. I'm sure the news is going to cover me soon and I would have to answer some questions." Danny said, knowing that many demons did just see him.
"Just watch out for Katie Killjoy. She's a real bitch." Charlie said.
Danny sighs. It was still his first day in hell, and he still had a hard believing someone sent him here. Charlie places a hand on his shoulder and gave a smile.
"Hey, you're free to stay here as long as you like. Who knows, maybe you can help out." She said, trying to see the silver lining.
"Sure, but I'm not going to freeload around here. I'm still a minor so I'll do odd jobs around here." Danny told her.
"Well, Niffy and Husk got most of the areas covered, but I'm sure they don't mind the extra help," Charlie said, thinking.
Danny gave a small smile.
"You know, Charlie, for someone that's the daughter of the devil, you seem like a really nice girl," Danny said, surprising her.
"T-T-Thank you! I don't think anyone called me nice before." She said, blushing.
Danny smiled again. Maybe things would be too bad.
Later,
Charlie had Danny help Niffty out for a while as she walked back to her room.
'He said I was nice. I'm a natural-born demon and he said I'm nice.' Charlie thought.
Charlie looked up to Danny when she first heard about him. He was the one that helped her start the idea of making this hotel to help redeem others. She always wanted to thank him for it, but she never got around to it.
"Charlie?"
The Princess of Hell looked up and saw Vaggie looking at her.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"I'm fine. Just fine." Charlie said, sighing.
"You look happy. About as happy when your parents approve of me dating you." Vaggie said.
"Danny said I was nice," Charlie said.
Vaggie knew that. However, she could be a little too nice at times. But Vaggie still loved her all the same.
"So where is he?" Vaggie asked.
"Helping Niffy with some cleaning. He said he didn't want to freeload here." Charlie said.
"Smart idea." Vaggie agreed.
"I think Cherri is going to come over more offend," Charlie said, surprising her girlfriend.
"WHAT!?" Vaggie asked, surprised.
"I think she's in love with Danny," Charlie said, having noticed the signs.
After all, she's been in love twice.
"That's a first. I thought that girl's first love was blowing everything up." Vaggie said.
"Hey, if I can fall in love, who can say others can't too?" Charlie smiles.
"You're not going to start singing again, right?" Vaggie asked.
There was a time and place for everything, after all.
"Nah. I had my fill earlier." Charlie said, making Vaggie sigh.
"Still, having him here could help out with the hotel. It might help bring in more sinners to redeem themselves!" Charlie said.
"Charlie..." Vaggie started before heading a ringing sound.
"Oh, my, devil! It's my mom! I need to answer this!" Charlie said, turning away.
Vaggie smiles as Charlie answered her phone and spoke to her mother.
A few hours later,
Danny sighs as he sat down at a nearby table. Niffty was oddball, but Danny couldn't help but find her a bit funny. While she was a demon, Niffty reminded him much of a child at times. Husk acted more like a grouch every time he was close by, but Danny saw he had amazing card trick skills. From what he could tell, Husk didn't want to work here at all. Alastor just force him here and made him work.
Danny gave him space, knowing he won't warm up to anyone quickly, and Husk seems to respect that. Danny sighs again as he was still trying to get used to where he was.
"Hey, Danny."
He saw Charlie taking a seat as well passing him a drink.
"Don't worry. I made sure it was something save for you to drink." She said, smiling.
"Thanks," Danny said, taking a sip.
"By the way, I've been meaning to say this ever since I first hear about you," Charlie said.
"Thank you."
Danny blinks, confused.
"You see when I first heard about you, I wanted to do the same thing. Be a hero. In my own way. I started this hotel to help sinners redeem themselves but also to the memory of you as well." She said.
"Of me?" Danny asked.
"Yeah. I know this hell and this is where bad things are allowed, but you are the most well-known mortal in all the seven rings. All seven sins hold you in high regard, even though you are a hero." Charlie said.
"I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that," Danny said.
"We also know a bit about your human life too. I can't believe your school looks down on the lesser students while favoring the high ones. Even that one moron that picks on you." Charlie said.
"Dash?" Danny asked.
"That's him. The moron doesn't realize he coming to hell when his time comes and I can already see he's not redeemable." Charlie said.
"Oh, so you do know if someone is redeemable," Danny said, surprised.
"This is my hotel and I have standards here," Charlie said, seriously.
"Huh, clearly different than one might think of the devil's daughter," Danny said, smiling.
"I know we're still getting used to each other, but I really want to be your friend," Charlie said.
Danny could tell that. So far, Charlie has been nothing but kind to him. She was clearly a fan of him, which still surprises him, but she was willy to treat him as a person. Something he wished everyone treated him like.
"Well, I wouldn't say we are friends, yet. But it's a step in the right direction." Danny told her, smiling.
"I'm glad for that," Charlie said, smiling.
The two just sat there, talking. Danny found himself growing relaxed around her. She told him that her parents is still up for a meeting with him, hopefully, to help him go home. She wasn't bothered at all by Danny's words of not taking their words about it.
"Oh, and I think Cherri is coming over tomorrow." She said, surprising him.
"Really?" Danny asked, surprised.
"Yep. She really likes hanging around you." Charlie said, smiling.
Danny was still unsure about Cherri, but he did find her pretty in her own way.
'Whoa! Where did that come from?!' He thought, surprised.
Charlie notices the reaction and knew that Danny had no idea that Cherri had a crush on him. She mostly blames the people at his school as well as his parents for not explaining those feelings. Not to mention how many of those so-called A-LISTERS drag every girl away from him. And that fact that his friend Sam grew jealous whenever another girl even looks at him. Sam has a chance at redeeming herself if she found herself in hell, but she would have to get over Danny if he chose someone different to spend the rest of his life with.
She heard how her mother was hoping she'll date Danny alongside Vaggie, but Danny was clueless about girls liking him. She didn't want to seek out a relationship with him, but she did want to be his friend. She told Vaggie about it as well, and she was in the same boat. They were just going to stick as Danny's new friends in hell.
I decided that the few chapters will have Danny getting to know the Hazbin Hotel characters a bit, coming to see them as friends. And after thinking about it for a while, I decide that this won't be a harem. Sorry, everyone. However, I am thinking of another Hazbin Hotel/Danny Phantom crossover that might turn into one. I'm going to work on it just yet, but I will tell you a bit about it.
Danny is taken as a baby by some demons due to his name. He's saved by Lucifer and Lilith and they raise him as their son, never telling him about his human family. He and Charlie not only become siblings, but they do actually start dating when they are old enough, and yes, Vaggie will still date Charlie as well as Danny.
But I'm going to write a few more chapters before I start on that idea. So this is just a Danny/Cherri pairing. No other lovers will be added.
