Chapter 1: The Return of Palutena + DLC: The Beginning of a New Adventure

"Sorry to keep you waiting!" said our lovable angel hero protagonist, Pit, as he rushed out of the door and flew into the air with his First Blade equipped. "It's been too long, Lady Palutena!" "We can chat later, Pit," replied the said Goddess of Light. "But now it's time to fight! The Underworld Army's invading!" As on queue, a Monoeye appeared right in front of Pit. "Whoa! You weren't kidding!" he exclaimed. "Aim your weapon at the enemies and fire carefully," explained Palutena. "You can target enemies on sight as long as you focus." Pit did so and managed to take it down. But that wasn't the only thing in his way. More and more Underworld Army minions came out to attack our hero. But they were no match for him. "If these are Underworld troops," Pit began. "Are you saying Medusa's been..." "Resurrected. Yes," answered Palutena. "Though the Goddess of Darkness was defeated long ago, she's back now. And as the Goddess of Light, it's my duty to protect humanity from her." "Eh, you worry too much!" Pit boasted, until he was then face-to-face with Medusa's large projection as the clouds turned red as more and more Underworld minions came out to attack. "Medusa!" he shouted. "Hello there, Pit," replied the Underworld Queen. "And you too, Palutena. Here to crash my homecoming party?" "Uh... This really doesn't look like much of a party..." said Palutena, unconcerned. "What better way to celebrate my return than with a festive little bloodbath?" asked Medusa. "After all, I have been gone for 25 years." She then disappeared and the clouds returned to normal. "They're moving their attack to the ground!" exclaimed Pit. "Then so are we!" replied Palutena as she sent Pit down to the Overworld, while more Underworld enemies attack him. "I can't believe I'm actually flying!" said Pit, excitedly. "The Power of Flight is my gift to you," said Palutena. "I'll control your route so you can focus on battle. But I can only maintain this power for five minutes at a time," she further explained. "After that, your wings will burn up, and you'll fall." "You have no idea how embarrassing it is to be an angel who can't fly on his own." Pit began after a sigh. "So thanks for your help. Without you, I'd be finished!" He then continued to fight against more and more Underworld enemies. During his flight, he collected four Recovery Orbs to replenish his health. "When you're not firing, you'll go into a glide that makes it easier to dodge attacks," Palutena began explaining. "Holding your fire also builds up charged shots. Aim carefully, and use them wisely." Pit listened to his goddess carefully and continued to fend off the Underworld Army. Soon enough, he began to see his destination. "Your destination should be coming into view now," said Palutena. Pit noticed this and saw something horrible. He gasped. "Now they're attacking the town? This isn't right!" "The people need your help," explained Palutena. "I'd better get you over there." She increased the Power of Flight's power to fly Pit faster so that he can make it to his destination. Once Pit arrived at That First Town, he heard cheers coming from the humans while fighting more enemies. "Do you hear that? Do you hear the people's cheers?" he asked his goddess. "They're celebrating the return of the goddess Palutena!" Palutena smiled warmly. "Despite the Underworld invasion, the people haven't lost hope," she said. "It's our duty to protect them. Prepare for land battle, Pit." She then sent the angel to the town to protect humanity from the Underworld.
Music stops and switches to: That First Town
After landing, Pit headed out to save humanity from the evil Underworld Army. Along the way, he ate the food that were dropped to replenish his health. "You're here to help the townsfolk, so wipe out as many monsters as you can," said Palutena. "I'm on it!" Pit replied. As mentioned by Palutena, more Underworld monsters appeared to attack our hero. He then picked up a Grenade and threw it at his foes to deal massive damage. Just then, the sky turned red and a fireball landed right next to Pit who swiftly avoided that. The fireball then headed into the coliseum. "Wh-what was that?" he asked his goddess. "Medusa has unleashed an evil beast in the coliseum!" she replied. "You need to hurry there!" Just then, more and more Underworld enemies appeared to stop Pit. "Try eliminating nearby enemies with melee attacks," Palutena explained, "You'll switch between melee and ranged shots automatically." "I'll stack up the melee attacks to serve up a combo meal of pain!" Pit triumphantly exclaimed. After he defeated all of the Underworld Army enemies, he then drinks a Drink of the Gods and entered the coliseum to face his enemy.
Music stops and switches to: Boss Fight 1
Once Pit entered the coliseum, he saw his enemy face-to-two-face. "TWINBELLOWS!" he exclaimed. "The Underworld's fateful watchdog," said Palutena. Twinbellows then landed on the platform to face his foe. "Old Pit's gonna teach you some new tricks!" shouted Pit. "Now play dead!" Twinbellows' only response was a fire breath from his mouths and then charged at Pit. "Try circling left or right as you attack," Palutena explained. "Keep your aim focused on the enemy." "That's called strafing, right?" asked Pit. "Whatever it's called, just stay out of his way," said Palutena. However, Twinbellows wasn't going to go down that easily just like last time. He then continued to charge out of Pit's attacks every time he tried to get him. Twinbellows then charged at Pit to attack him. "If you're in a tight spot, dash to get out of his way," explained Palutena as Pit did so and avoided Twinbellows' attack, "I also recommend dashing and shooting at the same time. Change dash directions and charge your shot for different effects." "Wow, talk about options!" Pit exclaimed, "It's like an all-you-can-hurt buffet!" He then continued to attack his enemy until Twinbellows was defeated. "Yeah! Victory is mine!" he cheered in victory. "Excellent job, Pit!" said Palutena, proudly. Twinbellows then exploded while he howls in defeat, and his remains flew into the sky back to the Underworld. This also turned the sky back to normal and Medusa appeared as a projection watching Pit. "Listen well, Medusa!" Pit yelled at his enemy, "Your days of darkness are numbered. Prepare to meet the light!" "Let's return for now," said Palutena as she opened a light pillar. "This was just our first step in defeating Medusa." Pit is then whisked away while Medusa disappeared.

Meanwhile, the trapped figure was still waiting while Pandora continued to watch him stay in the mirror. "Well, it would seem that one of your powerful commanders were defeated," the figure said. "It would appear that he's starting to stop you from covering the world in darkness." "Please, that was only the beginning," replied Pandora. "They still have a lot of catching up to do before they can reach you. But even if you break free, the Underworld will still stop you from completing your so-called plan." The figure scoffed in response as he continued to wait for Pit to arrive.
