Here we go. Chapter six is where my OC antagonist makes his appearance once he sees the light and dark angels. Here's a hint: the light angel will look familiar to him. Anyways, you already know the disclaimer, so enjoy!

Chapter 6: Dark Pit + DLC: A New Villain Arises (Good Route)

Music playing: Dark Pit

Pit rushed to the door with his Atlas Club equipped to begin the mission. "I've located Dark Pit!" said Palutena. "Where is he?!" asked Pit as he flew into the sky. Right after he asked that, Dark Pit suddenly attacked him with his First Blade. "Ow!" Pit cried as he fought back against his dark doppelganger. After that, Dark Pit flew away leaving Pit behind him on hot pursuit. "Look who finally caught up!" said Dark Pit. "What is your problem?" asked Pit. The two light and dark angels continued to battle it out to determine who will be the last angel standing. Then Pit decided to confront his dark counterpart. "Are you with the Underworld Army?!" he questioned. "Is that why you have it out with me?" "Don't be ridiculous!" Dark Pit replied. "I just don't like the idea of someone copying my act." This shocked Pit in disbelief. "What?!" he shouted. "But you're a copy of ME!" "Come on now," Dark Pit replied. "Think about it. If I was a copy, why would I kick my own butt?" (A/N: That does not make sense, you nincompoop.) The angels still fought against each other above the high clouds and into tornados. Pit received two more Recovery Orbs and then the Underworld Army appeared. "Great," Pit sighed. "Now the Underworld Army's here too." Medusa witnessed the fight going on and she was impressed with Dark Pit. "You're a real go-getter, Dark Pit," she complimented. "I like that." "Is that so?" Dark Pit asked. "Yes, though I AM curious how you plan to best your doppelganger," Medusa wondered. "Of course, destroying Pit would be a snap with a little help from me." "Don't make me laugh," Dark Pit replied. "Did I say something funny?" asked Medusa. "You've got to be confused with the other guy," Dark Pit explained. "THIS Pit is no pawn. I'll take care of him, but only after I finish you!" Medusa was quite confused to hear that. "Hmm..." she wondered. "Now this is a little...bizarre." "I know, right?" Pit agreed. "The mouth on that guy! I'd never talk like that." "That's not what I meant," Medusa replied. "Sorry," Palutena apologized. "He can be a little thick." "The Mirror of Truth created Dark Pit," Medusa explained. "So his allegiance should be to the Underworld Army." "Hmmm..." Palutena thought for a moment. "I wonder if the mirror cracked before the copy was complete." "So that explains it!" Medusa exclaimed. But wait a minute, she added in thought. Wouldn't this also mean that somebody else is on the loose? "So if Dark Pit isn't with the Underworld Army..." Pit began. "Does that mean I don't have to fight him?" "The problem is that Dark Pit is fundamentally wicked and destructive," explained Palutena. "Yeah, tell me about it," Pit agreed. (A/N: That's what he said. Sorry, I was kidding.) "He will attack anything," Palutena continued. "He does seem pretty aggro," Pit agreed again. "He was created from you, Pit," Palutena explained further. "He could very well be manifesting your...dark side. His very existence is unnatural. He must be eliminated." "OK..." Pit responded. "I mean, it's still weird to me, but it makes sense when you explain it." Pit soon lost sight of Dark Pit, so he must take down Underworld monsters who were getting in the way. "Let me get this straight," he began. "The Mirror of Truth was replicating monsters. So, now that it's broken, the Underworld Army can't generate new troops, right?" "If that were the case, their numbers would be shrinking," said Palutena. "But that's not happening." "Then where else could Medusa be getting her reinforcements from?" Pit asked. "I really don't know," Palutena answered. "But there's something very strange about them." "Like their faces?" Pit asked in disgust. "I'm talking more about their interior," Palutena explained. "Specifically, their souls." "So how do we get to the bottom of this?" Pit asked to his goddess in determination. "Well, one thing's for certain," Palutena answered. "Medusa's the source of all this trouble. But Dark Pit presents the more immediate threat. For now, just keep the heat on him!" Pit understood what to do and continued his search for his dark counterpart. He then received four more Recover Orbs to replenish his health and continued to fight more Underworld monsters. "So you two defeated Pandora, hmm?" Medusa wondered. "Of course!" Pit responded. "You don't seem too upset that we took out one of your top commanders, Medusa," said Palutena, unconcerned. "Pandora may be gone, but her powers live on in Dark Pit," Medusa replied. "Another astute observation from the supreme leader of the Underworld," said Dark Pit. "My, aren't you prickly," said Medusa, amused. "Even so, your Power of Flight seems to outlast Palutena's." "I can't say I'm not envious," Palutena admitted. "Don't let her get to you!" Pit exclaimed in defense. "However, who's to say that his power won't eventually run out?" Palutena questioned. "Yeah!" Pit responded. "After all, your flight power only lasts five minutes!" "Pretty horrendous fuel economy, huh?" Palutena responded. (A/N: Pit, you're not helping with the problem. You only made it worse.) "Oh, uh, I'm sorry," Pit apologized. "I-I didn't mean it like that." "I guess we're both bad at flying," said the disappointed Palutena. Pit continued onward and proceeded to take down more Underworld enemies. Then he spotted Dark Pit, using a Zurret to attack his original counterpart. "Look over there!" he exclaimed. "What's he doing with that?" Palutena asked. "Using me for target practice!" Pit yelped in response. "Not bad, not bad!" said Medusa, pleased. Pit managed to be careful and avoided the Zurret's shots from getting hit. Then he took it down and Dark Pit retreated with Pit tailing him. Then he came across some sort of temple. "What is that place?" he asked. "They look like ruins of some sort," answered Palutena. "I'd better land soon," said Pit. "And I'd better get started on deploying my troops," said Medusa, smugly. "Come on!" Pit complained. "Is that really necessary?!" He then flew down to the Temple Ruins, unaware that someone was following him. "Hmm..." he started. "So it appears that he's about to take him down in that temple. I better investigate." The figure flew into the temple without Pit noticing him.

Pit landed in the temple while the Underworld enemies prepared themselves to ambush him. "Somewhere around within these ruins is Pittoo," Palutena pointed out. "Uh...gesundeit?" Pit asked after eating some food. "No, Pittoo," Palutena repeated. "As in Pit Two. As in Dark Pit. Pretty great nickname I came up with, huh?" (A/N: To me, I think the nickname for Dark Pit is hilarious.) "But not as great as Ptooey, right?" Pit asked. "Right? ...Uh, anyway. So, the plan is to find...Pittoo and take him out." "Correct," Palutena responded. "He might try to escape but we can't let him get away." "Understood!" affirmed Pit as he proceeded onwards and take out more enemies. The figure, meanwhile, landed a little farther than Pit was and watched him closely. "He really is strong," he said to himself. "I better make sure to follow him in order to see what he can do. But I can't let him see me, yet. Otherwise, my plan won't work." He them proceeded to follow Pit on the quiet. "Pittoo could be anywhere, but following Underworld troops might lead you to him," Palutena began explaining. "They're none too pleased with Pittoo for absconding with Pandora's powers." (A/N: Much like the Hewdraw order, I'm going to use the order I want for the Dark Pit battles as well.) Just then, Pit found Dark Pit equipped with the Violet Palm in an open area.

"Ptooey spotted!" Pit yelled. Then he noticed a machine. "Hey, what's that hunk of metal?" he wondered. "It's a Cherubot," Palutena explained. "No, don't shoot it. It's not an enemy. Get in and see what you got." Pit did so and started to enjoy using it. "Yeehaw!" he exclaimed as he used it to attack his enemies and Dark Pit. "This is great!" "The Cherubot is both armor and weapon," Palutena explained further. "Even jumping in it packs a punch! Push the big button on the controls to do a jump that emits a shock wave when you land." Pit did so and continued to take down his enemies. "Cherubot, you're my new best friend," Pit said. "Don't tell Lady Palutena." Soon enough, he managed to defeat a lot more enemies and also Dark Pit.

"See ya!" Dark Pit yelled as he retreated. "He got away!" Pit shouted. "It's OK," Palutena responded. "He couldn't have gone far. I'm sensing that Pittoo is hiding in the dark. There may be a path by the fountain that leads somewhere underground." Pit tried to leave with the Cherubot, but there was only one problem. "I can't get out of here!" he cried. "Now what?" "I guess you'll just have to abandon the Cherubot," responded Palutena. "Aw, man!" Pit groaned. "But I love Cherubot!" "Unfortunately, it won't fit through tight spaces," Palutena explained. "You can just get off of the machine whenever you need to." Pit did so and proceeded onwards. Meanwhile, the figure was watching the whole battle unfold. "I'm impressed," he said to himself. "This takes me back to what I did all those years ago. And this temple somehow seemed very familiar. It gives me memories of my past." He then proceeded to follow Pit on the quiet. Back with Pit, he found more food on the fountain. "So, where's all this food always coming from?" he asked. "I thought you might want a little snack," Palutena answered. "Plus, it's fun leaving surprises for you." "Aw, thanks!" Pit responded. "You're always looking out for me. Nothing works up an appetite like dodging enemy fire!" Pit then proceeded to move onwards and took down more Underworld enemies. He then entered the underground cavern. "This must have been a temple," said Palutena. "Humans turn to the gods in times of need and forget them in times of prosperity," said Medusa. "They really are a fickle bunch." The figure was still follow behind Pit and entered the cavern, too. "I remember this place," he said to himself. "This takes me all the way back." Back to Pit, he found Dark Pit with an Ogre Club waiting for him.

"Hey there, Pit Stain!" said the dark angel. "You know I could call you the same thing, right?" responded the light angel. Since the both of them have clubs, they found themselves evenly matched. However, the Ogre Club is the powerful Club of all of them, although the charge shots are really slow. The fight against Dark Pit was really hard to get through, but Pit managed to finally take him down a second time. (A/N: Okay. I know that this fight was way too quick, but that's because I can't think of good battle scenes that much from the game itself. So, just go with it.)

Music stops and switches back to: Ruins of the Temple

"Little pest!" Dark Pit scowled as he retreated again. "Trying to escape again?!" Pit shouted at him. "You only need to defeat him one more time," explained Palutena. Before Pit left the cavern, he came across a Zodiac Chamber. He picked up the Gemini Orbitars and left afterwards. Then, he proceeded to follow Dark Pit to defeat him one more time. The figure was still following him. "My, my," he said. "He sure does know how to fight. Once he defeats his dark counterpart one last time, the time for the both of them to see me will come." He then followed Pit quietly. Back to Pit, he headed back to the fountain and saw a Grind Rail. "He's headed for the area by the fountain," Palutena pointed out. "Stay on him." Pit did so while taking down more enemies to reach the fountain. He then drank another Drink of the Gods and before he hopped on the Grind Rail he noticed something. "Huh?" he wondered. "What's this?" He picked it up and inspected it. "It looks like some kind of tape player," Palutena responded. "Maybe we can find some tapes and then use them on that device for later." "Good idea," agreed Pit. He then kept the tape player for safe keeping and hopped on the Grind Rail. During his attack on his enemies, he decided to ask Dark Pit a question. "Why are you all doom and gloom all the time, Pittoo?" he asked. "I think a better question is why are YOU so annoyingly cheerful?" Pittoo responded. (A/N: I might use the nickname a bit more often sometimes, but it might also be the other way around.) "I'm not annoying," Pit answered. "I'm positive." Then both he and Palutena sang a song. "You gotta stay upbeat, upbeat, upbeat..." Palutena began. "Or you'll be dead meat, dead meat, dead meat..." Pit finished. "Like I said," commented Dark Pit, unamused. "Annoying." After that little skit, Pit arrived at the arena where Dark Pit was waiting with the Silver Bow.

Dark Pit was facing his back at his light counterpart. Once he turned around and saw him, he readied himself. "Let's do this!" the angels said, simultaneously, and the battle commenced. The two of them squared off to show who will be the toughest angel. "Bring it, puppet!" Dark Pit shouted. "Who are you calling a puppet?!" Pit asked, offensively. "Palutena says jump, you jump. She says fight, you fight," Dark Pit responded. "It sounds like a very satisfying existence. For her, that is." "I have absolute faith in Lady Palutena!" Pit countered. "The Mirror of Truth doesn't lie," Dark Pit countered back. "I'm a reflection of your true self. So maybe your faith in her isn't quite so absolute after all." "What would you know about faith anyway, you treacherous blackheart?!" Pit shouted, enraged. "Lady Palutena always guides me the right way. That's why I follow her! And the Mirror of Truth you mentioned?! It's nothing more than a pane of lies. Pandora was just using it as bait!" "Looks like I touched a nerve," Dark Pit responded. "Methinks the puppet doth protest too much." "Oh, will you give it a rest already?" Pit asked the dark angel, annoyed at his taunts. "OK, fine," Dark Pit answered. "Do what you want. Or rather, keep doing what she wants. But I, for one, refuse to be a puppet. These wings take ME wherever I want to go!" "Not if I take you down first!" Pit said, determined to take him down. The fight between the two angels was tough, so Palutena decided to help Pit out. "Use the terrain to your advantage," she explained "If you lose sight of Dark Pit, use the jump pads to gain some elevation." Pit did so and continued to take on his dark counterpart. Eventually, the battle was over and the light angel was victorious. "I did it!" he yelled, triumphantly. "This isn't over yet!" Dark Pit yelled. He collapsed to the ground defeated, but then his wings glowed purple again. "I went easy on you this time," he said as he rose and flew away. "Wait!" Pit shouted. "No, let him go," said Palutena. "He's in for a big fall, and we need to get back at stopping Medusa." She opened up a light pillar to whisk Pit away, but then the angel noticed something. "Wait a minute," he said. "What's that?" He saw a purple aura fly back down and collapsed back into the arena. "Ow..." Dark Pit groaned. "Pittoo?" Pit said, confused. Just then, Pit saw another flying figure who used an unfamiliar weapon to shoot down Dark Pit back into the arena. Is that another me? Pit thought. I thought the Mirror of Truth created ONE copy and how can he fly by himself like Pittoo? Then the figure flew down to the arena.

"Well well well," the figure started. "If it isn't the angel from Skyworld, Pit himself. In the flesh." Palutena saw him and was in a state of fear. "Wait a minute," she said. "No no no no no no! This can't be real! How are you still alive?!" "Lady Palutena," Pit responded. "Who is that? Do you know him?" "Let me get to introductions," said the figure. "But first, let me ask you a question, Pit. Do you remember me?" Pit thought about it for a moment before answering, "No. I don't think I remember you." "Hmm?" the figure questioned. "How come you don't remember? Surely there's a part of you that knows who I am?" Pit thought for a moment again. "No not really," he responded. "But you look almost identical to me and Pittoo. Are you supposed to be another clone of me?" So it looks like he doesn't remember me, the figure thought. I'll just have to keep my identity hidden for now. "Well, one could say that," he replied. "You may refer to me as... Devil Pit. After all, all three of us angels look identical to one another." "I guess that makes sense in a way," Dark Pit grunted as he slowly got up. "But tell us. Why are you here?" "I'm here, because I want to see how tough you both are," he then pulled out his weapon. Pit was the first to responded about it. "What is that?" he asked. "I've never seen a weapon like that before." "This weapon is called the Palutena Palm," Devil Pit explained. "I may have worked with Palutena before one time and she gave me this weapon." "Lady Palutena, is that true?" Pit asked his goddess. But Palutena was still in shock about Devil Pit's appearance. I... I-I never thought he would return like this! she thought. What is he doing here? I thought I banished him all those years ago after what he did to me! "It would appear that your goddess is too shocked to explain," Devil Pit responded. "But that doesn't matter. I'll just get rid of the two of you before you become a nuisance." "Bring it on!" the light and dark angels said, simultaneously, and the battle began.

Devil Pit used his palm to launch out powerful shots at his foes and can fly around the terrain to avoid the other angels' attacks. "This is fun," he said. "It's been too long since I've enjoyed a good and thrilling fight. I haven't had this much fun ever since I committed a bloodlust killing spree." "Wait, you did WHAT?!" Pit shouted in shock. "Are you saying that you threaten to kill a lot of innocents?" asked Dark Pit. "It sounds like you're trying to pull our legs." "None of those even matter," Devil Pit responded. "I'd rather kill the both of you before you can even notice what I will do in the future." Palutena however is still in shock about his return. "This— This can't be real!" she cried. "I can't believe you're still alive! I thought you were banished!" "Well, Palutena..." Devil Pit began. "Once I'm done with these two angels, I'm coming for you next. You will pay dearly for what you did to me all those years ago!" "I cannot allow that," said Palutena. "Pit, you and Dark Pit must take him out quickly. Dodge his attacks, and then strike him down!" "Will do!" replied Pit. "I don't take orders, but this is a serious moment!" replied Dark Pit. The light and dark angels continued to attack the Devil and then, Devil Pit was defeated. "Damn it!" he shouted. "Take that, Devil Me!" Pit yelled in triumphant. "What kind of victory taunt was that?" questioned Dark Pit, unamused.

Devil Pit collapsed to the arena floor and slowly started to stand back up. "I'll admit," he started. "You two really are tough. However, I can only let one of you go." He then looked at Dark Pit. "You're not needed here," he continued. "So I suggest you leave right now." "If you say so," Dark Pit replied and he took off. "And what about me?" asked Pit. "I have an offer to tell you, but I'm going to need you to take off that laurel crown of yours," Devil Pit explained. "A-are you sure about that?" Pit asked. "It's better this way so do it now," Devil Pit responded coldly. "O-OK..." Pit reluctantly complied as he took off the crown. "Pit?" Palutena asked. "What's going on over there?" But she couldn't seem to contact him. "Pit? Pit?! Why can't I contact you?!" "Perfect," said Devi Pit, proudly. "This way, she won't know what's going on." "What do you mean?" Pit asked. "Listen," Devil Pit began. "If you really want to know who I really am, I need you to do me a favor. I have a lot of dirty work that needs to be taken care of and it requires help. If you wish to know," he continued as he took out his hand, "Then join me and you may know the truth about us right now." Pit thought about it for a moment and then reached out to Devil Pit's hand, only for him to smack it away. "If you think I can join your for destruction that you're dead wrong," he yelled. "I don't want to put other innocent people in jeopardy, so no! I'm not going to cause more trouble with the likes of you!"

Devil Pit's eyes widen in shock. He couldn't believe what he just heard from the angel. "You... You don't... " he began before turning away. "Oh. So that's how it is, huh? You have no idea what it feels to be like this when you lost someone again. I spent my entire afterlife looking for you, and is this what I get in return?! Mark my words, Pit. You are going to learn what it means to lose someone you cared about many years ago for the second time." His wings began to glow red. "I will come back, and you will regret your decision later on," he warned and then turned his head to look at him with a cold and evil stare. "Goodbye, flightless angel." After that, he flew away and dropped something. Pit walked up to the object, picked it up, and began to inspect it. "It looks like a tape Lady Palutena was talking about," he said. "But why would he even have them in the first place?" Then he realized something. "Oh! I can't forget about my laurel crown." He then picked up the laurel crown and putted it back on. "Pit?" Palutena asked, worried. "Hey, Lady Palutena," Pit responded. "Oh, thank goodness your alright," Palutena sighed in relief. "What happened? I tried to contact you, and then you suddenly didn't respond." "Devil Pit told me to take off my laurel crown and offered me a deal," Pit answered. "I didn't accept it and I have a feeling something wrong might happen. I'm guessing that Pittoo is not the enemy here, but it could be Devil Pit. However, I'm not so sure about it." "I'm just so relieved that he didn't do anything else to hurt you," Palutena sighed again. "Let's get you back. We still have a lot more work to do." She opened up a light pillar and Pit stepped into it. "OK, Lady Palutena," he responded. "Oh, and you won't believe what I just found." He was then whisked away.

"So, what did you found back there?" Palutena asked the angel. "This," he answered as he pulled out the cassette tape. "Oh, it seems you found a tape," said Palutena, surprised. "Let's take it to the meeting room. We better bring our army to listen to it." "Understood, my lady," responded Pit. The two of them then entered the meeting room and called out Palutena's Army. "Attention, Centurions!" Palutena called out. "We're here for an important meeting. Pit found a cassette tape and it is required for all of us to listen to it. Pit, will you do the honors?" "Of course, Lady Palutena," Pit answered and placed the cassette tape marked "Dark Hope" into the tape player. He then pressed PLAY.

"Why would people even believe about hope?" asked a sinister voice. "Hope is nothing to anyone at all. Everything will just be gone in one single blast. No matter how many times the heroes are able to stop their enemies, there will be something, or someone, waiting and watching them for their opportunity to strike. I, however, have my own hope. But unlike anybody else, my hope is dark. I want justice on the person who ruined my life as well as my brother's. We began working on a machine that allows either one of us to create portals that will lead us to our destination from where we want to go. Once the machine is fully operational, I shall use this machine to transport myself to where I need to go. I'm going to leave my brother behind, because I don't want him to cause any trouble. However, I have left food and drinks for him to survive. I'm *static* and I will enter the portal and END HER LIFE!" *click*

The tape ended and everyone was shocked. Palutena soon began to cry. "I..." she began. "I don't know what to think. How is this possible?" Pit noticed this and asked worriedly, "Lady Palutena, what's wrong?" "S-Sorry Pit, but I think we should take a rest right now," Palutena offered. "We heard what we want to hear so let's go and rest until we can begin our next mission." "Understood, my lady," affirmed Pit. Everyone else returned to their positions and Pit went to his room to sleep. Palutena, however, remained in the meeting room for a while. I just can't believe he's actually still alive, she thought. How is this even possible?! I better get to the bottom of this soon. She decided to go to her room and sleep until they can begin the next mission.

"God damnit!" Devil Pit yelled in frustration. "How could he do this to me?! I thought he could help me with my task, but instead, he HAD to leave behind again!" He was in an abandoned dark alley and he punched a brick wall with his fists out of frustration. "Damnit..." he sighed. "No matter. You know what they say, 'If you want things done right, you have to do them yourself.' I will not let them ruin my plans. Once I destroy everything, nobody will stop me. That angel better prepare himself, because I'm coming for him." He then activated his Power of Flight and flew away.

Wow. Things are really starting to spice up. Well, there you go. That's my OC antagonist. Although I will say that "Devil Pit" is NOT his real name. He's only using it to cover his identity. You'll figure out who his name is for yourself soon enough. Oh, and about the Palutena Palm weapon, I got that idea from a DeviantArt photo created by Lady-Of-Link. That's basically what it looks like. Anyways, stay tuned for chapter seven, review, and have a great day!
