Sword Art Online Integral Factor: Illumination Aurora
This story came from one of my favorite Anime that I watched. I even downloaded the App Game 'Sword Art Online: Integral Factor' I had been thinking about for a long time and decided to write this story.

With every Player now stuck in this VRMMO game and the only way out is to beat one hundred floors, but a group of Players was gathered together at the dungeon room door to defeat the floor boss so that they can move on to the next floor. Leading them is a man with blue long bangs hair and blue eyes. He wears blue clothing, white pants, long brown boots, with bronzed armor chest, shoulder pads, vambrace, and greaves. In his hands are a kite shield and a large longsword. His name is Diavel.
"Listen up everyone, I only got one thing to say to you," Diavel said standing in front of everyone. "Let's win!" he said with a face that knows they can win, it got everyone ready. "Come on" he led the way and first opened the door to the boss room.
But in the group, there was a young man who was medium tall, light skin, dark brown hair with two long ones at the front, and light platinum eyes. He wears a yellow long tunic shirt with orange lining, brown pants, boots with orange lines, brown gloves, armor chest, and a sword hanging on his back. His name is Xavier.
As he unsheathe his sword behind back, Xavier felt a tug on his sleeve.
He looks and sees a girl with a straight black mid-hair that goes between her shoulders, and green eyes. She wears a dark magenta tunic with dark green longs on her neck and waist, a black mini skirt, a chest plate, and a knife on her back waist. Her name is Koharu.
"Xavier?" She asked him before looking down at the ground with a frowning expression. "Just so you know, I'll protect you no matter! Even though I'm not that brave, I'm scared. But I'll do my best!" Koharu said, determined with her hands clutching.
Xavier looked at Koharu before he chuckled. "Y'know, that was supposed to be my line, but try not to fall down!" He teases at her
"Not this again! I told you not to mention it!" Koharu pouted as Xavier chuckled.
Once everyone steps in the room it is dark as they can't see a thing until the room lights up, a large red monster two-meter tall, muscular, a tail, copper-red eyes, in its hand is a shield and an ax. This is Illfang the Kobold Lord.
Appearing is a group of armor human-size monsters with a big red tail, long ears sticking out of its helmet, they are holding a mace in their hands as their weapon. They are the Ruin Kobold Sentinels.
"Commence attack!" Diavel orders, with all the Player charges at the boss and his guards with a battle cry, begin to fight to clear this floor.
Running down at one Kobold Sentinel, Xavier and Koharu run down towards it with their weapons out. "Okay Koharu, let's do this!" Xavier hollered.
"Right!" She nodded out loud.
Xavier swung deflected the Kobold Sentinel club he pushed back it back and charged in swinging his sword to the right. "Ready Koharu!" He shouted before Koharu nodded in response.
"Switch!"
He switches with her as Koharu charges in and stabs the Sentinel in the chest with her knife, but the Sentinel roared causing Koharu to flinch, she loses focus letting it free and swings its club downwards while she stands there with eyes widened with horror. But Xavier charges in and swings his sword and pierce the Sentinel in the chest with his blade through it before the Sentinel disappears in pixelation, Xavier kneels to see if she is alright.
"You alright?" he asked before giving her a potion to heal herself, she nodded frowning before shivering in fear. "Are you about this, you being here?"
"I know, but I promise Sachi that I'll meet her on the next floor," she said before clutching her hands tiling her head down before looking back up at him. "So I'll keep getting stronger with you!" she said determinedly.
"Okay, just wondering" Xavier nodded as the two see the one Sentinel heading this way, they nodded before charging in both of their weapons and slashes the Sentinel before turning around as Xavier swing his sword downwards while Koharu swings her dagger to the left causing the Sentinel to groan and disappeared in pixelation.
"Let's keep this going," Xavier said to her as she nodded.
"Right!" Koharu agreed.
Meanwhile, with the other players who are dealing with the Boss Illfang as it roars out loud its health bar reaches down to the red zone, it tosses his shield and ax away.
"Looks like the guide book was right" a man who is built up his hair is spiky cactus style, sienna goatee, and brown eyes, and wearing scale mail armor wielding a sword.
"Stand back" they all heard Diavel's voice coming this way as he passed through them. "I got it!"
Xavier was just slashing one of the Sentinels when he noticed Diavel was coming in as he remembered that the plan was to surround Illfang. But he was not the only one as another boy with neat black hair and black eyes, he also wears a blue shirt that was tucked into his black pants, brown shoes, black gloves, and an armored chest. His name is Kirito.
Diavel put his shield up and he was about to finish off Illfang, it pulled out a sword from behind. This causes the two boys to be shocked as the sword is pulled out is a Nodachi, instead of the sword it was supposed to have is a talwar, it's not exactly like the beta.
"Wait stop!" Kirito hollered out to stop him. "It no good! Gets out of there!"
But Diavel didn't hear him as he charged towards taking down Illfang, it jumped up onto a pillar and launched itself fast one after another. Diavel tries to follow it as Illfang lands down, swinging his Nodachi downwards slashing Diavel across his chest.
Xavier was shocked to see Diavel screams with that large slash, Illfang was about to swing it one more time, he looked around and saw that no one in this room could reach him. But he can as Xavier charges in, he put his sword up and deflected Illfang attack, and held his ground.
"Diavel you idiot hurry I don't know how long I can hold!" Xavier growled while holding his ground at Illfang off.
But then Kirito comes in and straight stab Illfang as it deflected making Xavier chance as he carried Diavel on the shoulder and moved somewhere safe while Kirito distracted Illfang.
"The formation has been broken! Retreat!"
Xavier lays Diavel on the ground and gives him some potion to heal up. "Diavel what were you thinking, that could've killed you back there," Xavier said to him.
"I'm sorry, for the moment I thought I had it," Diavel said before looking at the ground frowning. "But it looks like it's completely different."
"I know" Xavier agreed as he looked down clutching his fist before he punched on the growled angrily. "What the hell was that, Illfang was supposed to have a talwar, not a Nodachi! Unless he changes it! Damn him!"
"Xavier," heard a sobbing voice, he tailored his head up and saw Koharu with tears coming out of her eyes. "I'm sorry!" She sobbed before hugging with her face on his shirt. "I just stood there and let you leap in and save Diavel! He almost died because of me! I was so scared to lose you as well! You were right, shouldn't have come here."
Xavier was speechless at what Koharu said and let out a sigh before he patted her on the head to calm her down. "Don't say that, I'll be fine, when I have you around I'll be stronger" he smiled at her.
"Who am I kidding, that's just an excuse for my own, but the way I see her cry makes me wonder if I'll ever be stronger to protect her?" Xavier thought with his eyes narrowed and clenched his fist. "Then maybe, if we're together, we can clear this game faster, I can be stronger enough, to protect her."
"What the hell were you thinking?!" Kirito questioned him after he almost died.
"I know I should've died there, but you know, you were a beta tester too, weren't you?" Diavel asked as this shocked Kirito of what he said and realized something about him.
"You were after the last attack bonus, the rare item. You're just like me a Beta tester" Kirito realizing Diavel is actually a Beta tester, just like Kirito, Xavier, and Koharu.
"Please, you have to beat the boss," Diavel tries to get up before he suddenly still got hurt from Illfang's attack as he sat back down, "I still can't get up, for everyone here. It looks like I was wrong, I failed to take down that boss."
Kirito thought when this VR popular game became a death game for all players the only thing he thought of is to survive and get back to the real, nothing else to him.
"Why would you say that after everything that you got!" Zavier hollered. "Look at this, you bought all together to beat clear the floor!"
"Hey, maybe you should calm down," Koharu suggested trying to calm him before Kirito spoke up.
"No he's right, you weren't like that Diavel, you never abandoned the other players, you brought them together, you let everyone and you fought brilliantly. You tried to accomplish something I couldn't do" he said, admitting everything of what Diavel did for the other players.
He stands up and turns his head at the group as Illfang lets out a roar all of the other players just stood there doing nothing.
"Kirito," Kirito heard Xavier's voice and towards him. "I'm going with you."
Then a girl wearing a crimson red hooded cloak joins in as well. "I'll go too," she said.
"Okay," he replied as three-player stood together and ran down towards Illfang.
Koharu just stood there and watched them rushing towards the boss as she was worried, clutching her fist, she looked down at the ground trembling. "Why, can't I be brave like them…... I wish…..I'm brave."
"We'll hit him just like what we did to the minion," Kirito said.
"You got it" she agrees
As Xavier nodded.
The three charges towards Illfang Nodachi glowed, it roared as Kirito was the first to charge in with a battle cry he deflected its attack.
"Switch!" He hollered as he switched with the girl as she charged in with her rapier glowing, Kiroto spotted Illfang's eyes glowed red and shouted at her. "Asuna!"
She flinched as the girl known as Asuna was shocked, wondering who he knew her name when Illfang swung down the Nodachi Asuna dodge it but her cloak and disappeared were torn. But she kept going and pierced Illfang, blowing it away.
Kirito stares at her as she is now a young girl with long orange and brownish chestnut and hazed eyes. She wears a dark red leather tunic, a copper breastplate, red skirt, leather white pants, and boots that go all the way to her knees.
He kept staring at her before noticing Illfang getting back up. "He's coming back!" Kirito hollered as he got up and managed to deflect it attack, Asuna charged in and impacted at the stomach.
But Illfang kept going as it roared, it charged towards Asuna, before Kirito showed up and deflected all of Illfang attacks, he pushed it away and swung its Nodachi before Kirito deflected. However swings he deflected Illflang swing change of its swing and swung upwards Kirito was shocked as he was about to get slash, Xavier appeared and deflected Illfang Nodachi.
He swings his sword to the left Illfang deflected and swings upwards but Xavier dodge and jump on to a pillar before launching himself off as Illfang swings his Nodachi before missing him. Xavier kept dodging Illfang attacks from every direction Illfang swung it at him, he dodged its attacks before deflecting it with his sword.
"Wow, he's so active," Kirito amazed.
"It's like he knows all of the attack patterns," Asuna agrees.
Koharu was amazed as well as she watched him taking on Illfang all by himself as Xavier deflected Illfang sword, he pushed back as his sword started glowing preparing an attack and straight stab at Illfang. But then Illfang swings its Nodachi glows and swings it upwards shocking Xavier quickly deflected its attack, but it was too late as Illfang slashing at Xavier across his chest falling down on the ground, his sword was shattered and disappeared.
Kobaru hesitated in horror as she saw her partner down, she stood there trembling and seeing her partner about to be killed, trying to get her dagger from her back.
Xavier sits up and tries to get up and sees Illfang standing in front of him and raising Nodachi up and is about to slash him.
"NOOOO!" Koharu hesitated and charged towards Illfang and pierce it with her dagger. But Illfang blocks her attack with Nodachi it roars out loud, blows Koharu away as Xavier catches her and falls on the ground with her on top of him.
Xavier gets up and sees her health bar dropping down as he is in the yellow zone.
"You okay?" he asked her.
"Yeah, I'm fine" she nodded.
Then a shadow appears on them as they look and see Illfang standing in front of them raising its Nodachi up, about to swing it downwards. Koharu and Xavier just stood there as Koharu stood up on her feet with her dagger in her hand, Illfang swung its Nodachi downwards as she was about to deflect.
But all of sudden Kirito and Asuna both deflect Illfang, blocking its attack as Illfang slides down kneeling and hand holding on the ground.
With that some of the Players all charge towards Illfang once and for all.
"Hey, are two alright?" Asuna asked them.
"Yeah," Koharu answered.
"We're fine." Xavier also responds.
Then a large bulky African American man with a brown goatee, brown eyes, and two silver earrings on his left ear. He wears a chest plate, sleeveless shirt, and light brown pants. In his hand is a veteran ax. His name is Agil.
"We can hold this bastard off until your health is back up," he asked Xavier.
"Sure" Xavier nodded as Agil went back to his group.
"Hey, you do you have another weapon?" Kirito asked him.
"Um, yeah" he nodded.
"Get it faster, I don't know how long they will hold Illfang off," Kirot said as they see Agil and his group giving everything they have at the boss.
But Illfang swings it Nodachi around knocking all of them out before jumping up raising it Nodachi up glowing.
"Watch out!" Kirito warns them getting back up as he places his sword behind as it starts to glow, Illfang let out a roar and was about to slash at Agil and his group. "You're going down!" he exclaims before jumping up and slashes at Illfang, Xavier finally gets back up on his feet as he jumps up, swinging his sword downwards.
Illfang falls down on the ground Kirito and Xavier landed and charges towards.
"Come Asuna! Help us beat that sucker! One last attack!" Kirito hollered at Asuna.
"You got it" she responded and charged towards Illfang.
"So am I!" Koharu hollered as she joined them.
All four players charge towards Illfang as it is getting back up, they all battle cry out loud, Illfang swing down it Nodachi, Xavier deflected with her dagger, then Asuna pierces with her rapier at Illfang, and Koharu swings her dagger to the right then, Illfang lets out a roar in a rage after Xavier, Asuna and Koharu.
"Now Kirito!" Xavier hollered at him.
As Kirito sword glows he stabs Illfang at the stomach and swings it as hard as he could, he let out a cry slicing Illfang across its body to its head swinging his sword upwards making out a shockwave. Illfang lets out a roar up in the air as a blue light glows on the slashes, Illfang's entire body starts glowing before it vanishes into shattered pixelation.
"Is it…...over?" Xavier muttered.
As everyone was silent they all cheered out aloud finally defeat the boss of this floor, the word 'congratulation' appeared above them every Player was getting their exp.
Diavel was amazed by what he saw, as he got up on his feet again, Kirito knelt on the ground exhausted after finishing off the last attack before a menu popped in front of him and read it.
'You got the last attacking bonus!'
It popped up as the item was called a Coat of Midnight Xavier, Koharu Asuna, and Agil were with him.
"Nice job" Asuna complimented him.
"That was some fine swordsmanship, congratulations. Today's victory is all yours" Agil said to him.
"N-no" Kirito can't as he tries to deny it as every Player is cheering for him, applauding for beating the boss.
"Come on, you deserve it, that's all for what you did," Xavier said.
"He's right, you should be glad" Koharu encouraged him.
Kirito was looked down before Diavel walked up to him. "All of them are right," Diavel said, surprising Kirito as he knelt down and placed his right hand on his chest. "This is something you accomplish as much as I did. Be fine when this floor is cleared."
"Well I-."
"HOW COULD YOU!" Everyone stopped cheering as they turn towards the spiky player sitting on the ground.
"Kibaou?" Diavel muttered as he recognized him.
"Why'd you do it, huh? Why'd let Diavel die!"
"Let him die?" Kirito looks confused as well Xavier.
"That's what I said! Admitted, you knew the technique the boss was going to use. You could have told us. Then Diavel would have stood a chance! He wouldn't have died back there!" Kibaou yelled out loud angrily at Kirito.
Xavier felt a vibe as he saw some of the players agreeing to what Kibaou said, this will not end well for them.
"Wait it's not like that! Not without a reason!" Diavel hollered as he tried to settle everyone down.
"No, there is a reason, I think I know why he knew! He used to be a Beta Tester, think about it! He knows the boss' attack patterns! He knows, and kept it from us!"
"And I bet he's not the only Beta tester here. C'mon show yourselves!"
With that everyone was glaring at each other to know who is the Beta tester here in the room they also backed away from each other if one of them are Beta testers.
"That's not good, everyone is now in their heads," Xavier thought to himself before he glared at Kibaou since he was the one who started this in the first place, now everyone is suspicious as to who else is a Beta tester like Kirito, Koharu and himself.
Agil then tries to calm Kibaou down. "Hey calm down" but Kibaou wasn't calm as he was still angry.
"Don't tell me to calm down" Kibaou growled angrily before turning his eyes on someone else before he spotted one. "You with the yellow shirt!" he pointed his fingers at Xavier.
"Me?" Xavier replied with his eyes narrowed.
"You know some boss's pattern like it was nothing! Are you a Beta tester too, tell me!" Kibaou hollered as everyone was now eyeing Xavier now.
But then Koharu stood in front of everyone and Xavier from the back. "Stop it's not like that, he did everything to take Illfang down!" she replied to calm everyone down.
"And how the hell would you know, I bet you're another Beta tester too. Or better yet, you're trying to PK and take everything that he has in his storage for yourself!" Kibaou hollered. This causes Koharu to be completely shocked in horror as she would never kill her own partner, it causes Asuna to glare at Kibaou accusing her of standing up for him.
"Bastard!" Xavier growled as he was about to pull out his sword.
"Enough!" Everyone is now turning their eyes on Diavel now. "If that's what you all think about Beta testers, then maybe you should have my items because I'm a Beta tester too" this causes everyone to be completely shocked by what he said. "I may be one of them but the Beta tester did everything they could to get together leveled up and this is the thanks we get, we're all trying to help you clear this game for crying out loud! So stop blaming the Beta testers and be grateful that we are still alive from this!"
Diavel words got through to some of them as they thought about this.
But then they hear a mischievous laugh they look around and see Kirito laughing out loud. "So you think you guys think I used to be a Beta tester. It's not cool to put me in the same class as these noobs" Kirito said.
"K-Kirito?" Koharu wonders what he's doing.
"What did you say!" Kibaou growled at what he heard.
"You heard me. Most one thousand who scored a slot in SAO's Beta were rookies. They were so green they didn't even know how to level up. Hell, even you guys are better than they were" Kirito said harshly at the other players but also staring at Asuna, then Koharu, and Xavier. "But me? I'm nothing like those guys, man. During the Beta, I made it to floors that were higher than any other testers. That's the fact. I know about the boss because I fought tons of monsters with way more sword skills on higher floors" he then mocks. I know a bunch of other things, too. More than you can imagine. More than any info breaker."
With those words, it got too Kibaou. "Wh-What the hell? If that's true, then you're the worst then a Beta tester. You're a goddamn cheater, that's what you are!?"
"He's a Beta Tester and a cheater! He's a Beater!" one of the players hollered.
"A Beater. Yeah, that's good" this causes everyone felt a bit scared of what he said as they backed up. "Okay, you can call me a Beater. Just make sure you don't confuse me with those Beta testers anymore" he said before clicking on the bonus item and appearing in a black trench coat. He walks away from them as everyone watches him leave.
"I wonder why he did that?" Koharu wondered.
"It's probably for the best," Xavier said as he thought that Kirito should bear this burden on his own shoulders, that what he wondered.
"Hey" Xavier turns and sees Diavel approaching him. "I just wanna say thank you for saving me back there, I thought I was a goner."
"You're welcome" Xavier appreciated.
"So now what are you gonna do?" Koharu wonders now that everyone knows he is a Beta tester.
"I might stay away from the party and bosses for a while. But I know you can clear it and get everyone back to the real world" Diavel said smiling at the two, he then placed his hand on Xavier's left shoulder. "I know you can clear this."
"Alright, I'll do my best," Xavier nodded.
"Okay, until then we'll meet again," Diavel said before walking away from them.
"Well Xavier, for now on let's stick together and clear these floors. Because I'm not afraid anymore" Koharu said before reaching her hand at him.
Xavier stares at her before closing eyes and smiles. "Alright let's stick together and clear this game" he swore before reaching his hand on hers.
and that's that as this is also the day and month when everyone is trapped. I was thinking I should add a sneak peek. See ya later
