This is just a little post that is connected to the Chronicle of Zi-O and since it's going to be 2022, so I decided to do this short story because I'm also gonna post this next year. Also, I know I haven't posted this for a long time because I had other stories and I ran out of ideas so I hope you like it.

As Shido wakes up early on the first day of the new year and makes breakfast, Tohka was the first to come to the table as the two of them eat together.

"Yum, this food is delicious!" Tohka said excitedly after taking a bite out of Shido's food.

"Well I'm glad you like it," Shido said with a smile, seeing Tohka happy after eating his food.

"So Shido, what are you gonna do?" she asked him wondering what Shido will do in this new year.

"It's that simple, I'm gonna make sure all of the Kamen Riders are safe and be sure that I won't be the evil king" Shido replied his plan for the new year to Tohka.

"Oh being king, you still haven't given up on that dream for ages" Tohka stated.

"What do you mean?" Shido blinked in confusion at what Tohka was talking about.

"Well it's 2022 now and you still kept that dream, I was just asking a question?" Tohka told him.

"2022?" Shido was confused about what Tohka said. "But it still 2019?"

Tohka nodded. "No, everyone told me it's 2022 now, that's a year now, isn't it?" Shido looks around the room and sees decorations that say '2022' on it as well as the calendar with a tiger on top.

"Eh?!" Shido was speechless of seeing the year 2022 around.

Soon Shido headed outside to the city and see it was nothing he was expecting as he saw holographic screens all over. He then sees 2022 all posters and signs, realizing that it isn't his 2019 anymore but the year 2022.

"No way, so it's not 2019, it is 2022…" Shido was stunned to see that 2022 is just three years away but how did he get to 2022 in the first place?

Tohka soon follows and approaches Shido in concern. "Shido, is something wrong?" she asked worriedly

"Well, it's kinda hard to explain" as Shido was about to Tohka until he was interrupted when a group of ninjas-like appeared out of nowhere. "What are those?" he wonders.

"I don't know, but they've been attacking people," Tohka tells him while being scared.

The ninja group soon attacks both Shido and Tohka as they are surrounded and overwhelmed. But then someone came as he fought the ninja group. He was wearing a black suit with purple shuriken on the chest, and a hoodie covering his head. Shido and Tohka wondered who he is.

The mysterious man rolls his hoodie back revealing himself to be a young man with fair skin, dark brown hair, and gray eyes.

"Hiroshi Fukima, as I became a shadow that protects the weak" he introduced himself to them as the ninja group gathered together to outnumber him. "For those who abuse their power for evil, will be defeated!" He takes out a silver and purple bottle-like as Hiroshi opens it and pours purple water of tadpoles as they circle his waist.

They materialized into a solid gray-looking belt that resembles Shido Ziku Driver, but this one doesn't look like it can spin, insert Ride Watch, or even has the digital clock on it. With it is a silver shuriken with a purple streak-like on it.

Hiroshi holds the shuriken as he did pose by a kick up then crouching down and standing back up before he makes hand signs with his hands.

"Henshin!" he calls out as he places the shuriken on the blank Ziku Driver and spins it.

"DARE JI? ORE NO? NINJA! SHINOBI KENZAN!"

Coming out of the shuriken is a scroll forming a large circle behind him and in the centre, is an illusion of the kanji word '仮面騎士忍' (a translation of Kamen Kishi Shinobi) and at the back is a constructed a big purple ninja-like robot before transforming into a frog.

It opens its mouth as purple parts, Hiroshi's body was covered in a bodysuit with purple armour chest, thighs, shoulders, and knees, purple straps on his forearms, and legs, two kunai knives on both sides of his, on his chest is a shuriken picture on it, and a purple scarf. His helmet is purple with a gray headband-like on with shuriken on it at his forehead, yellow eye, and shuriken with two antennas between his eyes. This is Kamen Rider Shinobi.

"Written as the 'Heart of the Blade'! Kamen Rider Shinobi!" he announced as this surprised Tohka and Shido was shocked to see this Rider.

Shinobi rushes through the ninja group as they try to attack him but the ninja was way too fast and acrobatic as he simply jumps up and spins with a kick. Then block two ninja swords with both arms and knocks both of them out before kicking one ninja from behind.

"NINPO KIRISUTE!"

A ninjato appeared from his belt and took it out as he backed up before sliding fingers on the blade, Shinobi charges through the ninja group slashes.

As the ninja group falls to the ground before they get back up as if that attack was nothing.

"STRONG NINPO!"

Shinobi turns around and shoots out purple fire from his hand burning all of the ninja group

"MEGATON NINPO!"

Then Shinobi spins around summoning a giant tornado lifting the ninja group in the sky.

Shido and Tohka were amazing at this as the ninja group fell back to the ground as they were about to get up but Shinobi tosses his ninjato away and finishes them off.

"FINISH NINPO!"

Shinobi rushes in and slashes them with purple energy slash one by one as he jumps up with a spinning kick in mid-air as he finishes them off and all of them explode.

"Wow! He's amazing!" Tohka said in excitement with her eye shining.

"Okay, now that something happened today?" Shido muttered to himself of seeing Shinobi in action. before he suddenly hears voices.

"Shido? Shido woke up this morning?"

"Shido!" Yoshinon kept bumping Shido as he was sleeping on the couch before he finally moved and woke up. "Good morning sleepy head today is a new year, so don't sleep in all day!"

Shido sits up and looks around as he sees the decorations that say 2019 now instead of 2022, as the calendar has a boar picture instead of a tiger on top.

"It was just a dream" Shido muttered to himself as he came back to the year 2019.

"Is there something wrong with Shido?" Yoshino asked him if something happened.

"It was just a dream, don't worry" Shido replied to her but still to Shido he wonders how he got to the year 2022 and who is this Kamen Rider Shinobi. "Man, this is a weird way to start a new year," he muttered in relief.
