Star Trek: TNG
Episode 5.3: The Phantom Menace
Tyson searched the swamp for the sounds of combat. He was sure he'd heard something, but it could have been anything from a bird to an animal. The only thing that made him think otherwise was his Vulcan senses and their ability to pick up on sounds at great distances.
"I'm not hearing any fighting," Tyson mumbled as he began trudging through the swamp. He knew the two Jedi had to be in the area. The Trade Federation shouldn't have spread its forces too far during their initial landing.
"HALO. Scout any nearby Trade Federation forces and get holographic recordings and detailed readings of force compositions. When my tricorder reads that I'm within 20 meters of multiple humanoid lifeforms, return to me."
The droid flew off, following orders and Tyson walked over to the nearest pool and peered down into the water below. His eyes widened when they landed upon several large fish swimming about. Never one to waste an opportunity, Tyson reached into his Inventory and retrieved his phaser. He chose a stock Federation phaser instead of the phase pistol or his Vulcan phaser this time. The standard Federation phaser was designed for versatility over raw damage, and he need a tool more than a weapon at the moment.
Hitting a target underwater was difficult, so he adjusted the settings to fire a wider beam, hopefully compensating for any refraction. Setting the output lower, he targeted one of the larger fish and triggered the energy beam. A bright flash erupted out of the end of the weapon's barrel before disappearing beneath the surface. After waiting a moment, he fired another shot just above the first. The two energy waves echoed through the waters below, sending ripples throughout the entire pond.
Tyson watched intently as dozens of smaller fish he hadn't noticed floated to the surface, stunned. Then, after a moment passed, the large fish he initially targeted rose belly-up. Stepping off the shoreline onto the muddy swamp, he waded toward the fish tossing it to the dry land before the stun wore off. He tuned the phaser to emit the thinnest beam possible and began using it as a scalpel. A small cut, carefully programmed to avoid cauterization was all he needed to get a little blood from the fish.
The Gamer wasn't trying to get a fishing skill or obtain a meal. With his Inventory, he had no need for either. His objective became obvious with the prompt that appeared in his vision.
Perk Activated: Power Eater
Trait Acquired: Gills
You now have gills, allowing you to breathe underwater.
"Oh damn. I almost forgot."
Tyson accessed his Inventory and pulled out the food and glasses discarded by the Jedi when they were escaping the Trade Federation trap. Tyson hadn't tried using Power Eater in this way, but hoped that some residual saliva had been left behind on the Jedis' meal. He consumed the remainder of the food and drinks, licking the entirety of the rim of the glass. He wasn't squeamish about such a minor degrading action, especially considering the potential power boost.
Perk Activated: Power Eater
Perk Acquired: Midichlorians (12,500)
Midichlorians are microscopic life forms that reside within the cells of living beings and are capable of sensing and communicating with the Force. The greater the midichlorain count, the greater a being's connection to the force, and subsequently the increased number of force abilities that being can learn. - You have an above-average midichlorian count for a Jedi and can be trained in 2 Force Powers. Mystical abilities that would not otherwise have an explanation now have a quantifiable biological or physical component. This could be something to manipulate, study, or even determine power levels.
Skill Unlocked: Use the Force
You are attuned to the Force, the mysterious energy field that binds the galaxy together. Your connection to the Force allows you to perform extraordinary feats. You gain a daily number of Force Points (FP) Equal to 1+ (Use the Force skill/5) + Wisdom Modifier (2) = 3. Force points are required to activate or increase the strength of certain Force Powers.
Force Power Unlocked: Sense Surroundings As a Minor Action, you can make a (DC: 15) Use the Force check to ignore the effects of Cover and Concealment until the start of your next turn. Increase the DC by 5 if this ability is used against targets with Total Cover. Outside of combat, this power can be used to detect a creature you are familiar with within range DC: 15 - Planet, DC: 20 - System, DC: 25 - Quadrant, DC: 30 - Galaxy. ((Sense Surroundings is one potential inherent ability and does not count toward your maximum Force Power count.))
Synergy Bonus: Sense surroundings can be applied as bonus distance to Empathy.
Skill Unlocked: Meditation - Level 1
Your Force Sensitivity has unlocked the special qualities of your meditation skill and it can now gain levels. Meditating will regain 1 FP per hour per skill level.
Tyson mentally debated whether Power Eater or Apt Pupil was his most powerful perk. Either way, he'd have to thank T'Pol at some point, because he finally had something he'd always wanted. Magic! Or the space-wizard equivalent thereof. Power Eater had many options for him to select from, but most were Locked. All the Force Powers known by Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were listed, but he was forced to take the Midichlorian perk and Use the Force skill before he could select any. He hadn't selected Sense Surroundings; it must have been granted as a bonus, either something all Force Sensitives have access to, or because he'd already possessed Empathy.
Use the Force Check (DC: 15) = 14 Failure.
- 1 FP (2/3)
Use the Force Check = 12 Failure.
- 1 FP (1/3)
Use the Force Check = 7 Failure.
- 1 FP (0/3)
Failing in all his attempts to Use the Force, Tyson was limited to his Empathy's current range, about a quarter mile. There wasn't much sense to walk in a random direction. He could end up going the opposite way of the Jedi. Instead, he picked the dryest piece of land and sat to meditate. He could've used HALO to find the Jedi, and he would if it came to that, but for now, he would trust in the Force and any omnipotent beings watching with the hope they'd want to keep him with the Jedi.
+1 FP (1/3)
Right around the time he regained his first Force Point, he heard the sound of a blaster fired to the west. Tyson stood quickly and ran toward the noise. He found himself cutting an indirect path through the swampy forest. He had to carefully choose his foot placements to stay on dry land and not get bogged down in the muck. His Vulcan Strength was as much a hindrance as it was a help, the increased force he exerted on the ground making him sink.
By the time he reached the Jedi, they had already dispatched the battle droids. There was a creature laying in the mud, his head still covered in filth from burying its face in fear of the previously-approaching droids. The distinct appearance and unusual speech pattern made it immediately recognizable.
"Yousa sav-ed my again, hey?"
Obi-Wan gestured to the creature asking, "What's this?"
Tyson laughed. He wasn't a fan of the creature, but the way the younger Jedi spoke was totally demeaning.
"A local." his master replied. "Let's go before more of those droids show up."
"Meeea called Ja Ja Binksss. Mesa yous humble servant."
"That won't be necessary." declined the elder Jedi.
"Oh boot tit tis! Tis demunded byda guds it tis." The amphibian looked deep in thought, "Ex-squeeze me, but da moto grande safe place would be.. Otoh Gunga. Tis where I grew up...Tis safe city."
Tyson informed everyone his droid would be catching up to the group. The Jedi had been prepared to start running but they all stop at the proclamation. Jar Jar's not Tyson's.
Qui-Gon asks, "A city! Can you take us there?"
"Ahhh, well...on second taut...no, not willy. Iss embarrissing, boot... My afrai my've bean banished. My forgoten der Bosses would do terrible tings to my. When HALO arrived, Tyson stuck him straight into the Inventory. The Gamer knew where this conversation would lead, and listening to Jar Jar was beginning to give him a headache; something he didn't think was even possible without the accompanying negative status effect. On a whim, he observed Jar Jar.
Jar Jar Binks
[?]
What the hell? The last time his Observe had delivered question marks was with Q. Why would Jar Jar Binks elicit the same kind of response? He hoped his system wasn't getting bugs. Jar Jar turned to look at him and gave a smile so wide it was unsettling. "Terrible tings if my goen back dare." The Gungan spoke to Qui-Gon but didn't take his attention away from Tyson.
The creature's gaze was only broken by the sound of Trade Federation tanks trampling through the trees in the distance. The Jedi convinced Jar Jar that he would certainly perish in the face of the oncoming army if they didn't escape to the hidden city. The group was led at a run to the nearest large body of water. Tyson carefully felt through the pace the Gungan had set. It was far faster than what an untrained human would be able to maintain. The Jedi could easily use the force to maintain the speed and Tyson was far beyond normal. But how was Jar Jar setting this pace? Did Gungans have higher constitution or some natural running ability?
"How much farther?"
"Wesa goen underwater, okeyday?"
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan pull out small in-mouth breathing masks. The elder Jedi looked at Tyson in askance. Their temporary teammate managed to get through the poison gas on the station, but he was unsure if the man could do the same underwater. A nod and a thumbs-up was all the reassurance he needed.
"And my warning yous. Gungans no liken outsiders, so don't expicin wern welcome." The Gungan turned his creepy smile on Tyson again.
Obi-Wan spoke for the first time in a while, "Don't worry, this has not been our day for warm welcomes."
Tyson had seen The Phantom Menace dozens of times and even picked up gills so he'd be able to swim with the others to the Gungan city. One thing he hadn't considered was what he'd wear while doing it. None of his uniforms were made for underwater excursions. He Inventoried his clothes and was left standing in his underwear, the garments were tight enough to serve as swim trunks. As Tyson prepared, Jar Jar jumped into the air and yelled. The Gungan did a double somersault with a twist, and smoothly dove into the water with little splash. It was like watching an Olympic high diver, but the creature managed it from a standing leap, something impossibly impressive. Tyson was at the peak of human strength and with a standing high jump, his feet would clear six feet. Tyson would put professional basketball players to shame, his head would clear the top of the backboard if he tried. Bafflingly, Jar Jar could jump at least double that height.
The rest of the group waded into the water, following Jar Jar into the depths of Naboo.
~~Star Trek: TNG~~
The murky depths of Naboo's underwater world welcomed the unlikely trio of Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Tyson as they followed Jar Jar Binks. As bumbling as the Gungan was on land, he carved through the water with precision. Despite his impressive physique, Tyson found the swim to be a challenge. The rough waves and constant movement of the current made it difficult to keep up with his companions, but he pressed on, his skills improving in the process.
Athletics skill increased! 18 - 20
The Gungan city was a wondrous sight to behold, a magnificent creation of nature and architecture. The city was nestled in the heart of a vast and ancient lagoon. The buildings themselves were adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant colors that shimmered in the water. The streets were lined with lush greenery, exotic flowers, and trees that seemed to sway to the rhythm of the water, which was held at bay by bubble-like force fields. As the Jedi and their companions swam towards the city, they were greeted by schools of fish that darted around them like a welcoming party.
When they arrived at the city, the Gungan warriors who greeted them were not as friendly. They stood on guard with their long spears at the ready. "What is this?" one of them said, eyeing the newcomers suspiciously.
"They are Jedi," replied Jar Jar.
Qui-Gon stepped forward, "I am Qui-Gon Jinn. This is my apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and our new companion, Tyson."
"Ah, so," the Gungan said. "Weesa have been expecting yousa. Disa way,"
"Uh oh, weesa in trouble." Jar Jar said as the group was escorted by spearpoint.
The Gungan led them through the city to see the Boss. Along the way, Tyson couldn't help but marvel at the incredible engineering of the city. The flowing water provided power to the whole city, and the architecture was breathtaking; buildings were seemingly grown or molded from coral. Tyson wished he could pull out his tricorder to get scans of everything, but didn't want to incite their nearby weapon-wielding Gungan escort. The group was soon ushered into a large chamber where they met with the Boss Nass.
They were led to a large chamber where a large Gungan held court. The Jedi and their companions approached the Gungan leader, and as they did, they were struck by the imposing presence of Boss Nass. His thick, muscular arms were crossed over his chest, and his booming voice commanded respect. The robes he wore were adorned with intricate patterns and colors, woven with the utmost care and detail. Despite the apparent simplicity of the Gungans, there was no doubt that their leader commanded respect.
"Jar Jar yousa in da deep do-dos," Nass said, his deep voice echoing in the spacious chamber.
"Disa one mooey-mooey trouble," Boss Nass said, pointing a stubby finger at the trembling Jar Jar. "Messa caused deesa."
"What's he done?" Tyson asked.
Boss Nass pointed his finger at Jar Jar, shouting in Gungan dialect, "Yousa make a big meesa-der! Yousa cause a catastrofa wif youre clumsiness!"
Tyson was intrigued by the alien language. It hadn't triggered his Universal Translator perk, but was incredibly difficult to decipher. He turned to Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and asked, "What did he say?"
Obi-Wan replied, "He's accusing Jar Jar of causing a major accident."
Tyson nodded, his eyes fixed on the stout amphibian leader.
"Greetings," Qui-Gon said with a bow. "We have come to request your help,"
The Boss leaned back, his large eyes studying the Jedi. Tyson could feel the tension in the room, and he wondered if their request would be granted.
"What yousa want?" the Boss finally said.
"We need a transport to take us to the Naboo capital," Qui-Gon explained.
The Boss let out a hearty laugh, "Weesa no like the Naboo." The Gungan leader leaned back on his throne and considered Qui-Gon Jinn. "Mesa no watchin' da problems of outside worlds. Wesa have nuffin' to do with dem," he said, his Gungan dialect thick and slow.
Qui-Gon Jinn didn't bat an eye. "That may be so," he replied, "but you and the Naboo form a symbiotic circle, what affects one of you affects the other."
Boss Nass snorted dismissively. "Yousa want to use our bongo?"
"Yes. We need to reach the Naboo and warn them about the droid army. They will come for you too once they control the surface," Qui-Gon said.
"Hmm, mesa no want any part of this," Boss Nass said, crossing his arms.
"But you must. Without your help, the Naboo will surely fall. And once the droids take control of the surface, they will enslave your people as well," Qui-Gon countered.
Boss Nass paused, thinking for a moment before finally relenting. "Alright, mesa help yous. But to get to the Naboo yousa go through da core."
~~Star Trek: TNG~~
Tyson's tricorder hummed quietly as he scanned the intricate coral-like structures of the Gungan city. The readings were unlike anything he had encountered before. As he moved further into the city, he came across a group of Gungans working on a massive forcefield generator. The device hummed with power, and Tyson could feel the energy coursing through it. He raised his tricorder and began to scan the forcefield. The device beeped and hummed as it gathered data, revealing the incredible power and complexity of the technology. Tyson couldn't help but marvel at the Gungans' ingenuity and skill.
The generator was structured into a raised pillar where the Gungans placed a watery orb filled with scintillating energy. His readings revealed it was a high-energy plasma. The pillar utilized the plasma to generate the forcefield, keeping the ocean at bay, and powering all the devices within the range of this structure. Tyson deduced the entire city was made of separate spheres like this one, all independently powered.
Tyson couldn't help but wonder what other amazing technology the Gungans had developed. He made a mental note; not just to continue to learn as much as he could about these fascinating creatures and their technology, but a warning to himself. The Gungans were easily underestimated due to their simple speech patterns and seemingly goofy mannerisms. But, that was a smokescreen that hid their technology and architecture equivalency.
They soon reached the craft Qui-Gon had negotiated for passage to the Naboo. As they embarked, Tyson took the opportunity to spend some attribute points he'd been hoarding. He promised himself that he would hold on to them until he had magic, and The Force was the closest he'd come. 6 points were dropped in Wisdom, bringing it to 20, and giving him 3 additional FP.
The underwater vessel carried Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Jar Jar, and Tyson through the murky depths of the planet's core. As they traveled through the dense, colorful surroundings, the vessel shook violently, jolting the group within. Qui-Gon attempted to steady the vessel as they navigated through the treacherous landscape. The ship was equipped with powerful headlights to light their way, but the surrounding darkness still managed to swallow them up.
Suddenly, a massive sea monster emerged from the shadows, its razor-sharp teeth gleaming in the dim light. Jar Jar promptly leaped up and began screaming and waving his hands animatedly. Qui-Gon placed a hand on the Gungan causing him to pass out, his tongue lulling in unconsciousness. While the Jedi did what they could to escape the beast and navigate the cavernous depths, Tyson yanked on Jar Jar's tongue to force the Gungan awake. The fool continued his ranting immediately. Everyone was distracted. Obi-Wan piloted the sleek sub, while Qui-Gon tried to calm Jar Jar, and that was when Tyson licked his hand. He timed his actions to try to discreetly unravel the mystery of Jar Jar's hidden Observe.

Force Power Unlocked: Force Concealment
You use The Force to cloud an enemy's mind, making it harder for the enemy to see you, or sense you within The Force. (DC:15) You are considered to have total concealment against all enemies until the beginning of your next turn. This can be maintained as a standard action. If you take damage while maintaining Force Concealment, you must succeed on a Use the Force check (DC = 15 + damage taken) to continue maintaining. To use Force Concealment to hide your presence in the force, make a Use the Force check. Compare the result to the target's Will defense. If the check result equals or exceeds the target's Will defense, the target takes a -5 penalty on attack rolls against you. If they are Force Sensitive, the target cannot detect your force presence.
What the fuck is going on?

Episode 5.4: Naboo - The Escape
The sub docked in a riverway on the outskirts of the capital. The Jedi moved off, so focused on their objective they didn't notice when Tyson stuck their watercraft in his Inventory. The Gamer glanced around and was impressed by his new surroundings.
The city of Theed was a stunning example of Naboo's architectural mastery. Its buildings were elegant and refined, crafted from gleaming white stone. Towers and spires soared towards the sky, topped with gleaming domes and intricate mosaics. Waterways and fountains flowed throughout the city, the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. Everywhere Tyson looked, he saw evidence of the people's love for beauty and artistry. The royal palace was the most magnificent of all, its grandeur impossible to ignore. It was a city of beauty and wonder, a testament to the wealth and prosperity of the Naboo people.
The streets, normally bustling with activity sat empty, the joy of the city lost in the silence of the invasion. The question was, why Naboo? Why did the Trade Federation blockade the planet and invade? Was it just because of a power in the shadows forcing their hand? Some of these answers were provided by the Jedi during their travels through the depths. It seems that they were indeed prepared to function as diplomats, well-informed of the situation, though they never got to serve in that capacity. Tyson's inquiries led to a lesson by the Jedi.
Naboo was a unique planet. Its core was not molten or solid metal as he learned in middle school science class. Naboo's core was made of plasma and ionized gases, a unique quality even in this universe. That plasma was energy-rich, for example, the Gungans were using it to fulfill their city's power needs. When it was discovered, the Naboo didn't have the infrastructure to properly mine and export it, so they made an agreement with the Trade Federation. For a while, the relationship was beneficial to both sides; the Trade Federation earned profit from the infrastructure they created, and the Naboo had abundant energy and wealth from exporting their natural resource.
More recently the relationship began to degrade. The Trade Federation was seeking higher percentage ownership of the Naboo resources, while the Naboo were considering alternate options to using the Trade Federation as the middleman. The invasion wasn't just an order from the shadows, it was an economic play to maintain profits.
That small bit of additional context would've helped viewers understand what was happening at the beginning of the movie. But for Tyson living the situation, the political-economic climate made everything more complex than the Gamer initially thought. It removed any ideas he may have had of a quick resolution. His attention was brought back to the present by the group halting. Tyson had activated Stealth and was following the Jedi absentmindedly. He sent HALO out with instructions to record everything he could while remaining at a safe distance from any droids.
The small group had stopped in an open stone skyway bridge. Below them was a contingent of battle droids escorting a group of Naboo.
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn leaped into action, their lightsabers humming to life. Blaster bolts ricocheted off their shimmering blades as they deflected them back at the battle droids with deadly accuracy. Amidst the chaos, a lone figure in regal robes stood frozen in terror - Queen Amidala. Tyson sprang forward to shield her with his body, his tricorder emitting the signal but failing to disable the nearby droids. He stowed the device and settled for dismantling the closest droid with his unarmed assault. The Jedi fought their way toward the queen, their precise blademanship dismantling the opposition, and with a final flourish of their weapons, the last droid lay smoking on the ground. The queen breathed a sigh of relief, but Tyson's confusion only deepened.
At the start of the battle, Jar Jar, ever the fool, slipped before leaping from the bridge. He fell and grabbed the side, no surprise there, an instinctive reaction for any creature. One moment he struggled to lift himself, but suddenly, with inhuman grace he launched himself into an acrobatic maneuver in the opposite direction, narrowly avoiding a battle droid's bolt. The droid tracked him in the air but was cut down by the Jedi before it could make a second shot.
Jar Jar had to be Force Sensitive, if that was still up for question. The acrobatic maneuvers, arriving at the right place and time to meet the Jedi, and how easily he ingratiated himself with the group were beyond coincidence. And, Tyson received a Force Power by using Power Eater on him. But why Force Concealment? What was the Gungan hiding? Tyson had seen what the Gungans could build. While everyone considered them simple creatures; he wouldn't underestimate Jar Jar.

"Yousa guys bombad!" exclaimed the Gungan
Queen Amidala was broken from her fear-induced inaction by the approach of the Jedi. Qui-Gon spoke first, "Your Highness, we are the Ambassadors, for the Supreme Chancellor."
One of the Naboo dressed as an advisor replied, "Your negotiations seem to have failed, Ambassador."
"The negotiations never took place. Your Highness, we must make contact with the republic."
One of the Naboo soldiers stepped forward to speak, "They've knocked out all our communications."
"Do you have transports?"
"In the main hanger. This way."
Tyson thought it was strange that the queen hadn't spoken, but then remembered the con. The queen was just a handmaiden in makeup. A decoy. Leaders throughout history on Earth had done similar deceptions. He used Observe to find the real queen.

As they approached the hangar, Qui-Gon's senses were on high alert. The hum of battle droids echoed throughout the vast space. Qui-Gon signaled for the others to halt, and they stopped before the entry door.
Tyson pulled out his tricorder and scanned the area. "We've got company," he reported. "A squadron of battle droids guarding the hangar."
The soldier who spoke earlier, Captain Panaka cracked open the door to the central hanger and he, along with Qui-Gon looked inside to confirm Tyson's report.
The hangar was massive, its cavernous ceiling disappearing into the shadows high above. Rows upon rows of sleek spacecraft were parked along the walls. The floor was a glossy black, with just enough shine to reflect the ships and the light fixtures hanging from above. The air was thick with the scent of ozone and the hum of energy fields, filling the space with a palpable sense of urgency. Despite the chaos of the situation, everything seemed to be in its proper place, waiting for the moment it would be called to action.
"There are too many of them," informed the soldier.
"That won't be a problem." Reported Qui-Gon to the fake queen. "Your Highness, under the circumstances, I suggest you come to Coruscant with us."
"Thank you, Ambassador, but my place is here with my people."
"They will kill you if you stay."
Panaka disagreed, "They need her to sign a treaty to make this invasion of theirs legal. They can't afford to kill her."
"The situation here is not what it seems. There is something else behind all this, Your Highness. There is no logic in the Federation's move here. My feelings tell me they will destroy you."
Tyson mused over Qui-Gon's words. The elder Jedi must be getting a strong sense from the Force. The man had been explaining the political-economic climate to Tyson on the way here. For him to ignore all that and fall back on a feeling, it must have been pressing on his senses.
The yet unnamed Naboo pleaded with the Queen, "Please, Your Highness, reconsider. Our only hope is for the Senate to side with us... Senator Palpatine will need your help, Your Highness, I will stay here and do what I can...They will have to retain the Council of Governors in order to maintain control. But you must leave."
The fake queen turned to her handmaiden as she spoke, "Either choice presents a great risk...to all of us."
"We are brave, Your Highness." The robed handmaiden woman retorted.
Tyson held back his chuckle as he watched the exchange. He sensed the fear and uncertainty, but also hope from both women and a strong resolve from the handmaiden. He couldn't help but wonder how the Jedi hadn't picked up on the exchange or realized the imposter for what she was. His Empathy didn't require the Force, maybe for the Jedi, it was something they needed to actively focus on to activate. He wouldn't blame them if they had a Force Pool as he did, Empathy would be a waste of their limited strength.
"If you are to leave, Your Highness, it must be now."
"Then, I will plead our case before the Senate."
Tyson moved quickly and silently through the doorway and into the shadows of the hangar. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan walked confidently through the door followed by the natives. Droids flanked the walls, their attention was immediately drawn to the bold duo.
There was a contingent of droids surrounding a group of seated Naboo at gunpoint. "We need to free those pilots," Panaka said from behind just loud enough for the Jedi to hear.
"I'll take care of that," Obi-Wan said as he broke off for the prisoners.
Qui-Gon continued toward the droid with markings indicating it was the leader of this platoon. It guarded the large, shining Naboo cruiser.
The head droid held out a hand to stop the group, "Halt"
"I'm the Ambassador for the Supreme Chancellor, and I'm taking those people to Coruscant."
"Where are you taking them?" The droid leader asked redundantly.
Qui-Gon gave the droid a confused look, "To Coruscant"
"Coruscant…" The droid tapped its chin in a mock human thinking pose, "Uh, that doesn't compute... Oh, wait, uh. You're under arrest!"
Qui-Gon Jin moved with practiced precision, cutting through metal and wires and then deflecting blaster fire. Tyson, having swapped his tricorder for his pair of Vulcan phasers, covered their backs with precise shots, taking down droids left and right.
The tension was palpable as the Jedi fought their way through the hangar, clashing lightsabers and blaster fire echoing through the vast space. The Jedi moved with speed and grace, taking out droids left and right despite the overwhelming numbers. Tyson, following closely behind, was firing his blaster at the droids with deadly accuracy. The air was thick with the sound of blaster fire and the hum of lightsabers as the Jedi moved with swift grace. Qui-Gon cut through droids with precise movements, while Obi-Wan was a blur of motion as he darted around the hanger, taking out droids from every angle. Jar Jar, though clumsy as ever, was still managing to avoid getting shot by the enemy. The droids fell one after the other, but more kept coming. The battle was intense and unforgiving, but the Jedi fought with a fierce determination, driven by duty to protect Queen Amidala.
Finally, they reached the other side of the hangar, where the Naboo starships awaited. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan engaged the last of the droids, buying their retinue enough time to enter the ship.

Tyson's next action was predictable. The hanger was now devoid of enemies with only a small group of Naboo pilots moving toward their ships. Tyson quickly rushed to the fighters not being attended by pilots and stashed them in his Inventory. He ascended the Naboo cruiser's landing ramp with HALO just as it began raising. He managed to grab half a dozen fighters and their accompanying astromech droids.
As they soared into the sky, Tyson felt a rush of excitement. He'd thought they'd escaped, having forgotten about the difficulties they would face with the Trade Federation blockade. The ship suffered damage, but R2-D2, bless the little droid, saved them just as he did in the movie. The Jedi and guards decided to land on Tatooine, just as expected.
~~Star Trek: TNG~~
As Padmé carefully cleans R2-D2, Tyson approaches her. "You have a way with machines," he says, admiring her work.
Padmé looks up at him, surprised. "I'm just doing my duty," she replies.
Tyson nods. "Right, I forgot. It must be tough… Keeping up the act all the time."
Padmé paused in her cleaning before looking down at her work. "It's necessary," she says, her voice low. "For the safety of the queen. It's not always easy," she admitted. "But I believe in what I'm fighting for. That's what keeps me going."
Tyson raised an eyebrow. "And what is it that you're fighting for?"
Padme smiled wistfully. "For a better future. For peace and justice in the galaxy. For our people."
Tyson nods again. "I understand. It's just... hard to imagine being someone else all the time. Pretending to be someone you're not."
Padmé smiles faintly. "It's not always easy. But it's what we have to do to protect our people."
Tyson looks at her for a long moment, then nods again. "I admire your dedication," he says quietly. "And your bravery."
Padmé meets his gaze, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. "Thank you," she says softly.
"And what about you? What do you want for yourself?"
Padme looked at him, surprised by the question. "I...I don't know. I suppose I haven't thought about it much."
Tyson grinned. "Well, you should. It's important to know what you want. And who knows, maybe I can help you achieve it."
Padme raised an eyebrow. "And how would you do that?"
Tyson shrugged. "I'm no Jedi, but I'm not without my strengths."
Padme smiled. "I saw you holding your own earlier. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Tyson."
Tyson nodded and joined Padme as she went back to cleaning R2-D2. He pulled out his tricorder and went through standard maintenance on the droid. Padme handled the aesthetics while Tyson worked the internals. He wouldn't gain any skill from the action, but it was good practice to further familiarize himself with the droids of this universe.
During their conversation, Jar Jar had bumbled down the hallway. When he saw Tyson speaking with Padme, a dark look flashed across his face, and for a moment it seemed as if Tyson could sense his malevolence. But before he honed in on the sensation it faded, and Jar Jar continued animatedly to another section of the ship.
