Star Trek: The Next Gamer

Episode 9: Grand Amphitheater

Stardate: 41331.5.
Earth Standard Date: May 1, 2364.
Location: USS Enterprise-D, Omicron Pascal System.

In the aftermath of Tyson's twenty-two-hour vigil at Admiral Jameson's bedside, Captain Picard felt the man had earned a respite. Consequently, he relieved Tyson of his duties until the USS Enterprise-D reached Starbase 74.

Initially, Picard had planned to use their arrival at the Starbase as a catalyst to determine whether Tyson had proven himself worthy of a letter of recommendation for Starfleet. The Gamer had even received a 'Main Quest' detailing such. However, Tyson had demonstrated his dedication and skills during the Tsilokovsky incident, earning the rank of Ensign (provisional) and later completing the Starfleet Academy requirements, earning the rank of full Ensign. Yet, having scrutinized Tyson's file with keen interest, Admiral Jameson insisted on proceeding with the previously-planned evaluation. When Tyson was informed, he surprisingly received a 'Main Quest Update'. He hadn't seen such a system message in months. But there was a concerning objective that he'd completed. The fact that he attracted the attention of a 'powerful Starfleet official' was troubling.

The USS Enterprise-D found itself within the Omicron Pascal system. Tyson remained uncertain as to the reasons behind their visit. But, whatever mission they undertook, Picard decided it did not warrant interruption of his much-needed leave. Consequently, their arrival at Starbase 74 was delayed by a week. It afforded Tyson a luxurious two-week break. This was the longest stretch of free time he'd experienced since arriving in this universe. With the weight of duty temporarily lifted from his shoulders, The Gamer now faced a more leisurely challenge: deciding how best to spend his newfound time. The possibilities stretched before him, and Tyson couldn't help but savor the sense of freedom this unexpected respite granted.

In the cozy confines of Tyson's quarters, the remnants of their breakfast still lingered on the table. The warm aroma of Tyson's coffee and T'Pol's tea filled the air. They sat facing each other, and Tyson found himself seeking new ways to reassure the Vulcan woman that he valued her and their relationship. Tyson felt a surge of inspiration, deciding to seize the moment, he asked, "T'Pol, would you like to go on a date with me to the arboretum?"

A single, elegant eyebrow arched upward as T'Pol regarded him with curiosity. "A date?" she inquired, her voice betraying a hint of interest. "What would be the purpose of this venture?"

Tyson smiled, the warmth in his eyes reflected his sincerity. "Well, for one, I'd like to spend more time with you. And if that isn't reason enough, we could search for special plants that we could sacrifice on Korriban. It would be a chance to combine our interests and grow closer."

T'Pol's expression softened. Melding their scientific curiosity with the opportunity to deepen their bond was appealing. After a moment's consideration, T'Pol nodded her agreement. "Very well, Tyson. I accept your invitation. It seems like a... logical way to spend our time."

A grin spread across Tyson's face as he reached for her hand, their fingers intertwined. Hand in hand, Tyson and T'Pol strolled through the arboretum, the lush greenery and soft lighting created an idyllic setting for their date. The air was rich with the mingling scents of various plants, lending a sense of serenity to their exploration.

As they wandered among the verdant pathways, Tyson's gaze fell upon a distinctive red-leafed tree. Its leaves exuded a familiar aroma that brought his Vulcan companion to his mind. "T'Pol," he said, pointing to the tree, "I'm not entirely sure why, but this tree makes me think of you."

T'Pol studied the tree for a moment, nodding in confirmation. "Indeed, it is a Vulcan spice tea. The leaves are harvested and dried to make a flavorful tea that is quite popular on Vulcan. I've had it several times in your presence, which may be why its scent is familiar."

Fascinated, Tyson continued with another question. "Are Korriban and Vulcan's climates similar? What do you think the chances are that Vulcan plants might grow on Korriban?"

T'Pol considered his question, her brow furrowing slightly as she mentally compared the two planets. "Vulcan is a hot, arid world, and while Korriban does possess some similarities, its climate is harsher. It would be challenging for most Vulcan plants to thrive there without significant adaptation or intervention."

Tyson looked at the tree thoughtfully, contemplating the possibilities.

Vulcan Spice Tea Tree.
Type: Plant.
Environment: Arid or semi-arid environments, such as deserts and scrublands, with a preference for sunny, well-draining locations.
Description: The Vulcan Spice Tea Tree is a small, hardy tree native to the planet Vulcan. It is known for its fragrant, glossy leaves that can be harvested and processed into a popular, aromatic tea. The tree's bark and branches are characterized by their reddish-brown hue, and its small, white flowers bloom in clusters, attracting pollinators and adding a touch of beauty to the harsh landscapes it inhabits.

Tyson stashed samples of the Vulcan tea tree in his Inventory. Tyson and T'Pol continued their meandering journey through the arboretum. Their path led them to a tiny, secluded corner glade, the soft, verdant grass was reminiscent of the Betazed holodeck simulation Tyson had created for the date with Troi.

Klaban Grass.
Type: Plant.
Environment: Meadows, gardens, and other temperate, well-irrigated environments.
Description: Klaban Grass is a lush, verdant grass species native to the planet Betazed. Known for its soft, velvety texture and gentle, soothing scent, Klaban Grass is often sought after for use in gardens, parks, and other recreational areas. It has a natural resistance to pests and diseases, making it an ideal choice for low-maintenance landscaping.
Special Properties: Aromatherapy - The gentle scent of Klaban Grass has a soothing effect on those nearby. Characters within the vicinity of Klaban Grass may gain a bonus to their Willpower, Concentration, or Meditation checks, depending on the game system.

Feeling a touch of whimsy, Tyson turned to T'Pol, a playful glint in his eyes. "Would you like to join me in the grass, T'Pol?" he asked, attempting to inject an air of romance into their walk.

T'Pol raised an eyebrow, a barely perceptible smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "While I do not typically engage in such frivolous activities, I am willing to acquiesce to your request, Tyson."

Tyson gently guided T'Pol into the vibrant green patch of Klaban grass; their fingers remained entwined as they stepped together in harmony. The air was filled with the soothing scent of the grass, creating an atmosphere of serenity that enveloped them. They sat on the soft, cushioned ground, facing each other with their knees touching.

Tyson began guiding T'Pol through a meditation designed for Force Initiates. His voice was a soothing whisper as he explained how to connect with the Force. As they breathed in unison, the tension in T'Pol's body melted away, her mind opening to the vast energy field that permeated the universe. Being on the Enterprise-D, away from the oppressive darkness of Korriban, allowed T'Pol to experience the Force in a far more tranquil and harmonious manner. She could feel the gentle ebb and flow of the energy, a calming sensation that made her feel more connected to the universe than ever before.

As their meditation deepened, Tyson and T'Pol's minds began to intertwine, their thoughts flowing between them like a peaceful river. The intimacy of this shared experience drew them even closer, their hearts beating in time as they continued to explore the depths of the Force together. The boundaries between them seemed to dissolve, leaving only a profound sense of unity that transcended the physical world. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated connection.

T'Pol, still immersed in the gentle embrace of the Force, allowed her mind to drift toward Visas. With her newfound connection to the Force, she found herself gaining a deeper understanding of the woman. As their meditation session drew to a close, T'Pol looked into Tyson's eyes with a sense of gratitude. "I must admit, I am beginning to understand Visas more now that I have experienced the Force for myself," she confessed. "The sensations are strange to me, yet not uncomfortable or undesirable." She paused, her voice softening as she continued, "I want to thank you for guiding me through this, Tyson. When I first felt the Force on Korriban, I was hesitant to accept the connection. The presence there is… uncomfortable and heavy. But your guidance has allowed me to see the serenity that the Force can offer."

Tyson felt warmth as T'Pol opened up to him, sharing her thoughts and feelings with a level of honesty that was rare for a Vulcan. He reached out, his hand tenderly cupping her cheek, as he smiled at her. "I'm here for you, T'Pol," he assured her. While they were engrossed in their Bond, Tyson sensed far more from the Vulcan woman. He felt all the things he'd overheard her confessing to Visas and wondered what more he could do for her.

The Gamer stored a small section of the grass in his Inventory and moved on with his companion. As their exploration of the arboretum drew to a close, Tyson and T'Pol stumbled upon a quaint gift shop nestled among the verdant greenery. A captivating aroma wafted through the air, guiding T'Pol to a display of potted plants labeled - Jibalian Fudge Thistle. The rich, chocolate-like scent was simply irresistible.

Despite her stoic Vulcan demeanor, T'Pol found herself inexplicably drawn to the Jibalian Fudge Thistle. Its alluring aroma seemed to bypass her logical defenses, tapping into a hidden, indulgent side she rarely allowed herself to experience. Tyson couldn't help but smirk at the sight of T'Pol. Her eyes were fixed on the velvety purple blooms with a faint hint of fascination glimmering in her expression. He playfully teased her, "It appears that even Vulcan women cannot resist the allure of chocolate."

A subtle green flush colored her cheeks as she raised an eyebrow, acknowledging the unexpected truth in his words. "It seems you are correct," she admitted, her voice betraying the closest thing to a hint of amusement as was possible for a Vulcan.

Jibalian Fudge Thistle.
Type: Plant.
Environment: Jibalian Fudge Thistle prefers a warm, humid environment with well-drained soil. It requires a moderate amount of sunlight and should be protected from strong winds, as its delicate flowers and leaves can be easily damaged. The plant can be grown in pots or directly in the ground, and it has a relatively fast growth rate.
Description: The Jibalian Fudge Thistle is a rare and exotic plant native to the planet Jibalia. It is characterized by its deep purple, thistle-like flowers with a velvety texture and the sweet, chocolate-like aroma it emits. The plant can grow up to 3 feet in height, with long, slender leaves that are dark green and lined with tiny, delicate thorns.
Special Properties: Culinary Uses - The nectar of the Jibalian Fudge Thistle's flowers can be harvested and used as a sweetener in various desserts and beverages. The nectar has a rich, chocolatey flavor and is considered a delicacy among connoisseurs.
Medicinal Properties - While not a potent healing agent, the Jibalian Fudge Thistle's nectar has mild analgesic properties, making it useful for soothing minor aches and pains when ingested.

Tyson's curiosity was piqued as his Observe ability revealed the plant's unique properties. He envisioned the endless culinary possibilities and the potential to grow the Jibalian Fudge Thistle on Korriban. The opportunity was too good to pass up. With an eager smile, Tyson gladly donated the required 500 energy credits and carefully cradled the potted plant in his arms.

Tyson was accompanied by Visas and T'Pol as they approached the Altar of Sacrifice. The trio prepared to sacrifice the unique plant specimens collected from the Enterprise's arboretum. As Tyson presented the Jibalian Fudge Thistle and Klaban Grass to the ancient altar, there was no immediate reaction. Tyson expected these particular plants would only take root within the Veiled Arboretum. But when the Vulcan Spice Tea Tree was placed upon the altar, something changed. The tree, having developed in the harsh, arid climate of Vulcan, resonated with the unforgiving landscape of Korriban. The air around them seemed to vibrate with anticipation as the tree sample was absorbed into the very essence of the planet.

Across the desolate wastes of Korriban, in the least arid regions, a small miracle unfolded. The seeds of Vulcan Spice Tea Trees began to take root, their resilient nature defying the inhospitable conditions. As the sprouts breached the barren lands, they brought a glimmer of hope to the otherwise bleak and barren world.

Sacrifices Accepted!
1. Jibalian Fudge Thistle, Klaban Grass, and Vulcan Tea Tree added to Veiled Arboretum
2. Vulcan Tea Tree will grow in appropriate environments across Korriban.

Before venturing to the Altar of Sacrifice, Tyson, Visas, and T'Pol had agreed to unlock yet another facility to aid in their endeavors. Tyson accessed his interface to interact with the ancient altar. He offered up an advanced biobed and a medical tricorder, along with the components of a medical station akin to those found in sickbay and the labs he'd frequented on the Enterprise. The station had been 'procured' from the Enterprise's storage.

As Tyson's sacrifice was accepted, a remarkable transformation took place. The group stood in awe as the Lazarus Pavilion materialized before their eyes. The structure emerged from the barren landscape, a harmonious blend of advanced technology and ancient Sith architecture. The building's exterior bore the distinctive mark of the Sith, with sharp, angular lines and dark, foreboding stones. Contrasting the dark exterior, the pavilion also displayed elements of modern Federation design. Large windows made of transparent aluminum allowed natural light to penetrate the structure, hinting at the state-of-the-art equipment and research facilities contained within.

As the Lazarus Pavilion took its final form, an impressive entrance materialized, featuring a set of massive, ornately carved doors that seemed to beckon the group to explore its secrets. The doors bore intricate Sith symbols and patterns, which seemed to dance and shift as the light played across their surface. The fusion of ancient knowledge with cutting-edge technology imbued the Lazarus Pavilion with an aura of wisdom.

Tyson's eyes still scanned the interface and facility options as they lingered on the locked areas.

Locked Areas (14/20)
Archives of Forbidden Knowledge, Grand Amphitheater, Undercaverns, Artificer's Workshop, Room of Reflection, Menagerie, Ascension Spire, Hall of Elements, Dreamweaver's Sanctum, Chamber of Time, The Nexus, The Oubliette, The Hub, Korriban Starport

One entry garnered his attention and bothered him as he pondered it. The Grand Amphitheater. Just the name called to him with its promise of greatness. He frowned, his expression thoughtful as he turned to his companions. "I think I'm getting the hang of unlocking these facilities," he said, his voice tinged with frustration. "But something is missing. What's the key to unlocking the Grand Amphitheater? What would it need beyond the holoprojectors and what we've already sacrificed?" He stared at the list, the words seeming to dance before his eyes, daring him to figure out the secret.

Visas and T'Pol exchanged glances. They could feel Tyson's growing frustration and his desire to unlock the facility. Visas spoke first, "Perhaps there is a specific item or skill required," she suggested.

T'Pol's eyes narrowed as she considered the possibilities. "Or maybe," she said slowly, "it requires a deeper understanding of the Force, a connection to the ancient traditions of the Sith." She hesitated, her gaze flicking back to the altar. "Could it be that unlocking this facility demands more than physical sacrifices?"

Tyson mulled over their words with a faraway look as he pondered the puzzle before them. He knew that the answer lay just beyond his grasp. The Gamer began to envision the purpose a grand amphitheater might serve within the Sith Academy. The image took shape in his mind: a stage for shows and events, but not for mere entertainment. No, for the Sith, it would hold a far more sinister purpose. His eyes lit up with realization. "Duels!" he exclaimed. "The Sith would gather for duels and battles. It's an integral part of their culture, the constant struggle for power and dominance."

His fingers hovered over the interface. He knew he needed to make a sacrifice to unlock the Grand Amphitheater. His mind whirred as he considered his options, eventually settling on a Federation phaser and a lightsaber. He had amassed a small collection of lightsabers in his Inventory, most taken from defeated Sith Apprentices. But among the collection, two particular weapons stood out: the Legendary blade of Darth Sidious and a blue lightsaber, both were weapons he'd gained from the Sith Lord. Though he couldn't part with yet another legendary item, he hesitated before offering the blue lightsaber.

Memories flashed of that first encounter with Visas Marr in the depths of Coruscant. This weapon had been the first lightsaber he ever wielded. He looked to Visas, his thoughts swam in the depths of memory and emotion, and he knew that the sacrifice was necessary. He didn't know if symbolism was important when it came to sacrifices, but if it was, the blue lightsaber was the correct choice. The weapon represented his first clash with a 'Sith,' an agent of the Dark Side. That 'Sith' was Visas, and that duel set her on the path to embracing the Light Side of the Force. But the weapon was more than just a symbol; it held a deeper meaning, a connection to a greater purpose. The red crystals within the other lightsabers he possessed were steeped in the Dark Side. Sith turned their lightsaber crystals red through a process known as 'bleeding', where their negative emotions are channeled into the crystal. To sacrifice one of these tainted weapons would not only be symbolic, but it could also counteract his ultimate goal of purifying Korriban.

By offering up a weapon that had been wielded against the darkness, he might bring a spark of light to the ancient Sith stronghold. With renewed belief he was making the correct choice and a deep breath, Tyson placed the blue lightsaber alongside the phaser on the Altar of Sacrifice.

As the moments stretched out, he waited for the familiar sensation of a new facility opening, but nothing happened. A wave of disappointment washed over him, leaving him feeling uncertain. Then, T'Pol's words echoed in his mind, "Could it be that unlocking this facility demands more than physical sacrifices?" A spark of realization ignited within Tyson, and he understood the true nature of the challenge before him. The Grand Amphitheater could not be unlocked through mere objects; it required a grand duel, a demonstration of the combat and struggle that defined the Sith culture.

With that revelation, Tyson resolved to issue a duel, to seek a worthy challenge to unlock the elusive structure. As soon as he made the decision, the group felt the sensation they had been absent moments before – the birth of a new structure. The usual anticipation that accompanied the unlocking of a facility was joined by a second sensation. A strange compulsion gripped the group, driving them to make their way to the center of the Academy where the Grand Amphitheater now stood. It was an irresistible call that beckoned them, a force none of them could resist, not even Tyson, who believed himself to be immune to such controlling effects.

The sensation of losing control was unsettling as they traversed the ancient halls of the Academy, drawn inexorably to the heart of the complex. The air crackled with tension, their hearts pounding with equal parts apprehension and curiosity. It was as if the System or the Force itself had taken hold of them, guiding them toward an unknown challenge that would ultimately determine their worth in the eyes of the Sith Academy. The group was not alone in being drawn to the amphitheater. The specters that roamed the corridors, all joined them in the pull to the arena.

Upon reaching the Grand Amphitheater, T'Pol and Visas were drawn to the stands, their instincts compelling them to take their places as spectators. The Tarellians, too, felt the call from their residence, joining the audience alongside the ghostly figures of Sith apparitions, who seemed to materialize from the very shadows to bear witness to the spectacle about to unfold.

Tyson, however, was guided to the arena floor, where he felt a weight of expectation pressing upon him. As he stood at the center of the ancient battleground, his interface materialized before him, urging him to choose a combatant for the upcoming duel.

The air was thick with anticipation, the gaze of countless spectral Sith and the living alike fixed upon Tyson as he wrestled with the decision. He knew that this duel would be a test not only of his abilities but also of his resolve to cleanse the dark influence that lingered on Korriban. But who would he choose to stand against him in this crucial moment, and what consequences would their battle bring to light?"

Across the expanse of the arena, two figures materialized, summoned forth from the companion gems resting within Tyson's Inventory. Depa Billaba and Adi Gallia emerged, their confusion evident as they surveyed their surroundings.

The initial disorientation faded, and as they prepared to question the circumstances of their arrival, Tyson spoke. Tyson's voice resonated throughout the ancient battleground as he addressed the Jedi Masters. His words echoed, heavy with purpose, as he explained their situation, "I have brought you here with a hope to reform this place, formerly the Sith Academy on Korriban," Tyson began, his tone somber yet resolute. 'I seek to change the very nature of this place, to rid it of darkness and reshape it into something better. For that, I need your help, I need your positive influence as Jedi."

He locked eyes with the two Jedi Masters. "I acknowledge my failure to uphold my previous promise, and for that, I am truly sorry. However, now is the time to set things right. I challenge you to a duel, not out of malice, but as a means to settle our differences and forge a new path together."

Perk Activated: Duel of the Fates

Tyson's voice rang out once more, outlining the terms of the duel that would determine their fates. His tone was steady, leaving no doubt in the minds of those present that he was serious in his intentions. "We shall fight, you two Jedi Masters against me," Tyson declared. "I will not don my armor, nor will I utilize my shield. Our battle will be fought on even ground, with only our skill and connection to the Force to aid us."

He continued, the weight of his words reflecting the gravity of the situation. "The duel will be settled when one side is disabled or submits. If I emerge victorious, you will willingly stay at this Academy, instructing initiates in the ways of the Force, and guiding them towards a new, better path. However, if I lose, I will submit to your authority and return with you to Coruscant to face the judgment of the Jedi High Council."

The air within the grand amphitheater crackled with tension as the Jedi Masters considered Tyson's terms.

Depa Billaba and Adi Gallia exchanged a glance, their eyes reflected a deep understanding forged from years of friendship and shared experiences. They had faced countless trials and tribulations as Jedi Masters, and this challenge would be no different.

Adi Gallia stepped forward first. The unique Tholothian tendrils that adorned her scaled scalp elegantly framed her face. Her toned, athletic figure was accentuated by the form-fitting Jedi attire that hugged her every curve, revealing her undeniable sensuality and grace. As she moved, her flowing robes added an ethereal glow to her already mesmerizing visage. Her mesmerizing blue-purple eyes fixed on Tyson as she ignited her lightsaber, the vibrant blue blade cast a cool glow. "Tyson, we have faced many obstacles in our time as Jedi, and we understand that this duel is a necessary step toward the balance we all seek. We will take up your challenge, knowing full well the gravity with which it was issued."

Depa Billaba calmly ignited her green lightsaber. Her large, expressive eyes, framed by thick, dark lashes, were accentuated by her masterfully applied makeup that highlighted her natural beauty. As Tyson appreciated her appearance, he noted a mischievous glint within her eyes that hinted at a deeper, hidden side of her. She allowed a slight, playful smile to cross her full, lush lips as she addressed Tyson. "The path of the Jedi is never easy, Tyson, but we are prepared to do what is necessary to restore harmony to the Force. We will face you in combat, and in doing so, honor the teachings of our Order. We fight not just for ourselves, but to combat the darkness that still lingers in this place. Besides," she added with a hint of flirtation, "I've been looking forward to seeing just what you're truly capable of."

With a flourish, Tyson ignited his two crimson lightsabers, each humming with a distinct, menacing growl that resonated throughout the ancient arena. He assessed the Jedi, who moved with the grace of seasoned warriors, ready to encircle him. His eyes narrowed, Tyson prepared himself for the confrontation by channeling his emotions through the Force. His Use the Force skill had skyrocketed since he first gained the ability, and now he was able to maintain control over the strong feelings. Unlike Sith, he was no longer bound by rage, anger, and hatred. When he used Dark Rage, it was his excitement and anticipation of combat from which where he drew his strength.

Depa and Adi moved in sync with each other, their lightsabers gleamed and crackled as they approached Tyson from opposite sides. They had fought many battles before, and their connection in the Force allowed them to anticipate each other's movements with ease. This would be no ordinary duel; it was a dance of blades and skill, where the slightest misstep could mean defeat. Tyson's reflexes were sharp, and his footwork nimble as he parried, slashed, and countered the Jedi's assault. His red blades clashed against their green and blue in a dazzling display of light and energy, and the sound of their weapons meeting echoed throughout the Grand Amphitheater. As the Jedi sought to exploit any weaknesses in Tyson's defenses, he responded with a whirlwind of lethal grace. The trio danced and swirled around the arena floor, their blades leaving trails of vibrant color in their wake.

The arena became a storm of flashing lightsabers and graceful, agile movements. Depa Billaba launched a swift strike, aiming to land a decisive blow. However, Tyson anticipated her attack, expertly blocking her elegant lunge with one of his crimson blades. Adi Gallia seized the opportunity by swinging her vibrant lightsaber toward Tyson's exposed side. In a display of remarkable reflexes, Tyson spun on his heel, raising his second red lightsaber to intercept Adi's attack.

Tyson took advantage of Depa's momentary pause and launched a flurry of attacks. His first strike connected with the skilled Jedi, the searing lightsaber blade slashing across her, and followed up with a second hit to Depa. Tyson turned his attention to Adi Gallia. Catching her off guard, he struck her with a powerful slash. Adi reeled from the blow but, before she could recover, Tyson pressed his advantage, delivering a second devastating hit. Aesthetic Damage protected the Jedi from the worst of the strikes. Their skins were left with slight sears and bruises, but it was a far cry from the amputations and cauterizations that would be expected.

As the battle raged on, the three combatants moved with extraordinary speed. Depa Billaba, undeterred by her injuries, lunged at Tyson. In a breathtaking display of skill, Tyson parried her strike and Adi's attempted slash, their lightsabers clashing with a shower of sparks. Wasting no time, Tyson pressed the offensive. He struck at Depa with a swift, powerful slash, his crimson lightsaber landing a major blow and followed up with another strike. Turning his attention to Adi Gallia, Tyson unleashed a whirlwind of attacks. The first lightsaber strike connected with stunning force, Adi staggered under the impact, but before she could recover, Tyson's second lightsaber found its mark, dealing further damage to the Jedis' robes. The spectators could trace Tyson's assault by following the visible lines left in their clothing.

The trio continued their fierce struggle, their lightsabers a dazzling blur in the heart of the ancient Sith amphitheater.

Depa Billaba charged at Tyson once more, but with a masterful display of skill, Tyson deflected her attack, their weapons clashed in a brilliant display of light and sound. Gallia was determined to make an impact on the battle. She focused her energy and unleashed a powerful Force Slam against Tyson. Tyson, however, was able to resist the majority of the attack, taking only minor damage from the telekinetic attack.

Tyson struck at Depa landing a devastating blow to the Jedi's shoulder. He followed up with another swift strike to the beleaguered Jedi Master. Not forgetting Adi Gallia, Tyson turned his attention to her and landed a similar blow, his lightsaber cutting through the air striking her, and then continuing his relentless assault, landing yet another powerful strike. Sleeves and hoods fell to the ground as sections of the Jedis' robes fell to the floor in place of their blood and limbs.

Amidst the foreboding atmosphere of the ancient Sith amphitheater, the fierce duel between Tyson and the Jedi Masters intensified. Sweat stained the arena floor as the warriors clashed, each vying for victory in this duel for their fate. Depa Billaba called upon the Force and unleashed a Force Slam at Tyson. Like his previous companion's Force attack, Tyson resisted most of the impact, his body hardly shuddering under the assault. Adi Gallia, relentless in her pursuit, lunged at Tyson with her lightsaber, hoping to exploit his momentary vulnerability. However, Tyson was quick to react, expertly blocking her attack yet again. Seizing the momentum, Tyson turned his full attention to Adi Gallia, his lightsabers carving through the air in a series of brutal, calculated strikes. The first blow landed expertly across her left shoulder. His relentless assault continued, dealing an additional slash, followed by another, and then a final devastating strike across her midsection. Gallia's robe was bisected and fell to the floor, leaving everything from her navel down only protected by her underwear. Her robe looked more like a crop top than the traditional vestment of her order.

As the contest raged on, the ancient Sith specters watched with keen interest, their malevolent presence cast a dark pall over the struggle that unfolded before them. Their dark whispers increased in volume and their anticipation became palpable as the duel unfolded.

The Jedi Master's breaths were heavy and their muscles strained. Tyson's expertise shone through as he blocked one attack and parried the other with skillful precision. Once again, Tyson focused his aggression on Adi Gallia. His lightsabers struck four successive blows with tremendous accuracy. The remainder of the Jedi's robes were torn revealing Adi Gallia in just her undergarments.

Her complexion was a rich, deep mocha, the skin smooth but bearing the marks of the duel. Her body was a harmonious blend of strength and femininity. The loss of her robe flaunted her well-toned abs, undeniable evidence of her fitness and dedication as a Jedi. The curves of her hips flared sensually, tapering down into long, athletic legs. Her matching undergarments were utilitarian yet did nothing to diminish her feminine allure. Her eyes, usually calm with wisdom, blazed with defiance, the blue-purple pools reflected the fire of her spirit and the glow of their lightsabers.

The air within the amphitheater was thick with tension and the scent of violence as the contest played out in the heart of the Sith Academy. The specters of Sith whispers were whipped into howls. Depa Billaba and Adi Galila launched themselves at Tyson, their lightsaber singing through the air desperately seeking their target. Yet, Tyson's defenses held, repelling both attacks with an echoing clash of energy. Tyson continued his onslaught against Master Gallia, his lightsaber swing connected, dealing a debilitating strike to the Tholothian's right leg. Adi Gallia crumpled to the ground. Her attempt to stand was fruitless, recognizing she was disabled and defeated, her body remained down, left to watch her friend try to fend off the maelstrom of attacks now focused on her.

With one opponent fallen, Tyson shifted his focus to Depa Billaba. His lightsabers were a whirlwind of plasma that the Jedi could not fend off. Tyson landed three blows and finished with a brutal flourish.

The atmosphere within the Grand Amphitheater grew darker, and the Sith specters rejoiced in the conflict and the pain of the combatants. Tyson's Force Sight allowed him to perceive the darkness emanating from the Sith specters in the stands. Their sinister influence grew as he fought the Jedi, and with his victory approaching, they were becoming insatiable. So, Tyson decided to change tactics, calming himself and redirecting his aggression toward something more lighthearted and playful. With a mischievous grin, he focused on his Aesthetic Damage perk. He usually allowed the perk to stay active, the only exception being against Palpatine, and he had been using it to prevent serious harm to the Jedi Masters. Now, he specifically targeted Depa's Jedi robes, aiming to only cause comic embarrassment and not any physical pain. Depa sensed Tyson's shift in demeanor as she launched another Force Slam at him. Tyson resisted the attack with relative ease, taking negligible damage. Using the Force was her best tactic as even when he resisted, he took some residual damage. They'd been completely unable to breach his defenses with their lightsabers.

His grin only broadened as he prepared to retaliate. In a rapid succession of strikes, Tyson's lightsabers danced and weaved around Depa, each slash connecting with her robes, leaving them in tatters. She attempted to dodge and parry, her face a mix of frustration and embarrassment as her once-regal garments were reduced to ribbons. By the end of Tyson's onslaught, Depa's robes hung in shreds, leaving her in a somewhat compromising state of undress. The Sith specters' ravenous energy seemed to dissipate, replaced by an awkward silence.

With a cheeky grin, Tyson utilized his telekinesis to lift Depa into the air. The Jedi Master attempted to use the Force to resist his influence, but Tyson's power was too great. Suspended above the ground, she found herself vulnerable and exposed in her tattered robes. Tyson also raised Gallia into the air using his telekinesis. The defeated Jedi Master was too weak to defend herself and hung limply, casting pleading glances at her captor. As the Jedi hung helplessly in the air, it seemed as though all hope was lost. Tyson, however, had other plans. He approached the defeated Adi with a gentle smile he placed his hand on her forehead. Focusing his powers, he applied the Art of the Small, healing the battered Jedi Master.

As Adi's wounds mended, her strength returned, and her expression shifted from despair to surprise. Both Jedi Masters couldn't help but be confused by Tyson's actions – first engaging in a fierce duel, then using his power to humiliate, then heal them. It was a far cry from the typical Sith behavior they expected from the historical texts and holocrons. The bizarre turn of events was enough to leave everyone present, including the Sith specters, dumbfounded.

But Tyson was merely taking advantage of his victory while using it as an opportunity to use Power Eater and appear benevolent. He was able to use Power Eater through Art of the Small and didn't have to go around creepily licking blood and sweat constantly.

After healing Adi, Tyson made his way toward Depa, who was still held aloft and exposed by his telekinesis. He couldn't help but steal a glance at her, admiring the beauty of her form, even in such a vulnerable state. Her cheeks flushed a deep shade of red as she met his gaze, embarrassment mingling with a hint of intrigue. Tyson reached out with his free hand, placing it gently on her head. As he did so, warm, healing energy began to flow from his palm into her body, gradually restoring her vitality and mending her wounds.

Tyson, having healed both Adi and Depa, held them suspended in his telekinetic grasp, bringing them side-by-side before him. With a confident, commanding tone, he voiced Demand Surrender, making it clear that they were to acknowledge his victory in the duel.

The two Jedi Masters exchanged hesitant glances, feeling the intensity of his gaze upon them. They could sense the power radiating from him, and despite their initial resistance, they found themselves unable to deny the strength of his presence. With a mixture of reluctance and intrigue, they both conceded to his demands. In hushed voices, they agreed to become instructors at his Academy, teaching the ways of the Force to a new generation of hopefuls. They would also serve as subordinates under his lordship.

Tyson released his grip on the two women, allowing them to stand on their own once more. As they stood before him, their eyes flickered with a mix of emotions, ranging from defiance to curiosity, and perhaps even a hint of admiration. The room was thick with tension, the air charged with unspoken energy, as the three of them stood together, prepared to embrace a new and uncertain future.

As Tyson released the Jedi Masters, a subtle shift in the atmosphere of the amphitheater washed over them. The once maddened and bloodthirsty specters that had eagerly awaited the outcome of the duel now seemed to be affected by Tyson's benevolence. The darkness that had enshrouded the ancient space began to recede. Though only somewhat. It remained a heavy shadow, a reminder of the Sith Academy's dark past.

A glimmer of hope and optimism began to pierce the heavy air, signifying the significant change in the Academy's alignment. The Sith apparitions, still present but now subdued, appeared to be contemplating this new development as if they too were caught in the tide of change.

Tyson looked around, sensing the transition, and felt a swell of pride well up within him. He had taken the first step in reforming the Sith Academy, steering it toward a less malevolent path. The challenge would not be easy, but with the support of his newfound Jedi allies, they would work together to forge a new way forward. The darkness of the past had not been vanquished, but its grip had begun to loosen, as the light of the Force inched closer to illuminating the hallowed grounds of the Academy.

~~Star Trek: TNG~~

Tyson and T'Pol stood together in the Lord's Suite, bathed in soft ambient light that lent the room a gentle, serene atmosphere. The other companions patiently waited outside the suite, in the tower's main area, allowing the pair a moment of privacy for their conversation.

Tyson looked into T'Pol's eyes, "T'Pol, I've been thinking about the Seleya and how I found you there, alone and abandoned. It's because of me that you were taken from your time, and I can't help but feel responsible for your displacement." He paused, considering his words carefully. "I've gone back to the Seleya several times, but believe I can continue within that timeline. I could likely heal the Vulcan crew. Perhaps we can set things right, and give them a second chance at a better future. Plus, there's the unknown of Archer's mission success without you. But I want to know your thoughts on this before I make any decisions."

T'Pol's expression softened as she listened to Tyson's words, her logical and composed demeanor momentarily gave way to the vulnerability and emotion she usually kept hidden. She knew that Tyson's intentions were driven by a desire to do good, correct the wrongs of the past, and offer her closure. Perhaps restore balance to the timeline affected by his powers and his presence.

After a moment of contemplation, T'Pol replied, her voice filled with gratitude and understanding. "Your concern for the welfare of the Vulcan crew and my circumstances is commendable, Tyson. However, it is crucial to consider the possible ramifications of further altering the timeline. There is no guarantee that I wasn't meant to be left on that ship to die. Returning there could cause greater disruption than my disappearance had."

In the calm atmosphere of the Lord's Suite, Tyson and T'Pol engaged in a thoughtful and measured conversation, carefully considering the potential ramifications of their proposed actions. As they weighed the pros and cons, the two of them gradually came to a consensus on the best course of action. "We will attempt to save the Vulcans," Tyson declared, "After that, we'll proceed with the second plan I've been considering."

T'Pol nodded in agreement, her eyes reflected the same glimmer of hope that shone in Tyson's. "Once we have carried out these actions, we will evaluate the impact of our intervention on the timeline and the lives of those affected. Based on our assessment, we will then determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward."

With their decision made, Tyson and T'Pol shared a look of understanding. They exited the Lord's Suite, joining Depa, Adi, and Visas who had been waiting patiently outside. The group of companions looked to Tyson expectantly, curious to hear what the private conversation had been about.

Tyson took a deep breath, ready to explain his plan. "As some of you know, I have access to various realms beyond your own, and there's one in particular that I need your help with," he began, looking at each of his companions in turn. "Within this realm, there is a ship. It's been abandoned, and its crew has been left suffering from a terrible disease." Pausing for a moment to let the information sink in, Tyson continued, "I can cure this disease, but I cannot do it alone. I'll need all of your help to ensure the safety and well-being of the crew. Together, we can make a difference and save these people from their plight."

As Tyson spoke, a sense of hope and determination filled the air, invigorating the group. They each nodded in agreement, ready to lend their strength and expertise to this cause. Tyson began outlining the roles each of them would play in the upcoming mission. "Visas," he addressed the Miraluka first, "I need you to stay here at the Academy and act as its leader while I'm occupied. You'll temporarily reside in the Lazarus Pavilion during the operation, as you're the only one besides myself who can heal through the Force. Your skills will be invaluable in ensuring the well-being of those brought back from the ship."

Next, Tyson turned his attention to Depa and Adi. "You two have proven to be a formidable team, so I'm assigning you as the assault force. Your objective will be to incapacitate the Vulcans aboard the Seleya and transport them safely to the Lazarus Pavilion here at the Academy. Work together, and I trust that you'll succeed in your mission."

Finally, Tyson addressed T'Pol. "As for us, we'll be working together to restore the Seleya. Your knowledge of Vulcan engineering and my Engineering skill will make us an effective team. We'll ensure that the ship is fully operational and ready for its crew once they have been treated and healed."

As Tyson detailed the plan, the atmosphere among the group grew more resolute, each member mentally preparing for their assigned task as Tyson instructed them. He taught Visas basics on the treatment of Trellium-D poisoning and the usage of the advanced biobeds in the pavilion. He replicated restraints for the Jedi, and utilized the equipment in the Foundry, to prepare the repairs with T'Pol. The companions dispersed to prepare for their respective assignments, united in their goal to save the crew of the Seleya and restore hope to those who had been abandoned to suffer.

Tyson and T'Pol found themselves sitting in his quarters aboard the Enterprise-D, preparing to execute their plan. They needed access to two nearby holodecks simultaneously, and the Scimitar was the best option for achieving that. However, the ship was currently stored in Tyson's Inventory. The 'bathroom' and 'lounge' of his room were made on separate holo-systems and subsequently suited their needs.

Inside the 'bathroom' of his quarters, Tyson opened the ID for the Zombie ID. In the 'lounge' of the room, he accessed the Lazarus Pavilion on Korriban, ensuring they had access to the necessary resources for their mission. The plan hinged on the fact that, as long as one of Tyson's companions remained in each instance, he would be able to maintain the connections to both locations.

Tyson stepped into the Zombie ID, immediately and easily disabling the nearby Vulcans. T'Pol assessed the situation, and quickly evaluated the status of the D'Kyr class ship. She worked diligently, analyzing the ship's systems and devising the most efficient course of action to restore the vessel to its full operational capacity. Adi and Depa entered the Zombie ID shortly after Tyson, their Jedi skills at the ready. They found the few disabled Vulcans Tyson had neutralized and carefully bound them. Once secured, the Jedi Masters transported the incapacitated crew members to the Lazarus Pavilion, where they would receive the healing and care they so desperately needed.

Tyson's team worked in perfect harmony, each member utilized their unique abilities to carry out their part of the mission. The atmosphere aboard the D'Kyr class ship gradually shifted from one of chaos and despair to a sense of hope and renewed purpose, as the crew members began to see that help had finally arrived.

Tyson marveled at the stark contrast between his first attempt at restoring the D'kyr class vessel and the current endeavor. The initial operation had taken him several days, working tirelessly and learning as he went. Now, however, armed with a significantly higher level of skill and expertise, not to mention the invaluable assistance of his team; the restoration process was accelerated exponentially, taking merely a few hours to complete.

The once-challenging Vulcan crew members were now little more than a minor inconvenience to Tyson, their resistance easily quelled by his vastly improved abilities. Amidst the flurry of activity, Tyson managed to acquire another Vulcan Phaser from Captain Voris, the ship's commanding officer. He regarded the weapon as a valuable prize and intended to use it as a sacrifice at the Altar on Korriban, adding the weapon to those available in the Grand Amphitheater.

The mission's rapid and efficient progress stood as a demonstration of Tyson's personal growth and the power of teamwork. Together, they had taken a seemingly insurmountable task and turned it into a swift and effective operation.

The Lazarus Pavilion demonstrated its remarkable adaptability, expanding to accommodate the influx of Vulcan patients in need of healing. The 147 ailing Vulcans found themselves recovering in biobeds, an impressive accomplishment that surpassed even the capabilities of the Enterprise-D. The facility seamlessly adjusted to the increased demand, ensuring that every individual received the care they needed.

With Adi skillfully piloting the D'Kyr out of the treacherous asteroid field, Tyson and T'Pol focused their efforts on the Lazarus Pavilion. Due to the low health of the afflicted Vulcan 'zombies' Tyson found that he could heal them using Art of the Small, removing their Negative Status Effect without expending any Force Points. This allowed him to work quickly and tirelessly, attending to each patient in less than a minute.

Within two hours, Tyson had successfully treated the entire crew. T'Pol stepped forward to address the now-revitalized Vulcans, reassuring them of their safety and informing them that Starfleet was actively providing aid. T'Pol presented a compelling argument to the Vulcans: they could repay Starfleet's kindness by having the Seleya contact the Enterprise and offer their assistance in the Delphic Expanse until the mission was complete. The prospect of aiding those who had saved them was welcomed by the Vulcan crew, working to assist those who assisted you, in turn, was only logical.

Faced with a difficult choice, Tyson ultimately decided to relinquish the fully intact D'Kyr he had received as a quest reward to the Vulcan crew, opting for the more damaged vessel as his compensation. He recognized that Captain Archer and the Enterprise would stand a far better chance of success with the restored ship by their side. Tyson hoped that by working together for the common good, their cooperation could lead to a brighter future for the yet-to-be-created Federation.

As the restored Vulcan crew prepared to depart after the Enterprise, Tyson, and T'Pol stood watching in silence. Despite the many adventures they had shared, T'Pol knew her duty to her people. She turned to Tyson and spoke with a sense of duty and responsibility in her voice, "We must ensure their success. I will go with them. My presence may be the only way to guarantee that the Vulcans will follow through." Tyson looked at her sadness, knowing if she left that their paths would be diverging for what could potentially be months.

Tyson knew this moment was coming from the moment he suggested helping the Vulcans. He looked at T'Pol, "Are you sure you want to go with them?" he asked, taking her hand in his.

T'Pol looked at him, her eyes softening. "I'm not sure what I want, but this is what I must do," she replied, squeezing his hand. "Relations between humanity and Vulcan are strained. The Vulcans may not follow Captain Archer's orders, and I have a responsibility to ensure their success."

Tyson held her shoulders, forcing her to look into his eyes. "If you're going to do this, I'm going to make sure you're safe and successful. Let the Vulcans know you're departure will be delayed temporarily to gather supplies."

~~Star Trek: TNG~~

Tyson headed toward the Foundry; his mind was busy ticking off the boxes on an invisible list. This was a mission of utmost importance. T'Pol's life might rest on his preparations, not to mention to future of an alternate Earth.

His priority: Replicators. And not just a handful, but a fleet of them. The Seleya was limited by a lack of access to replicator technology. The ability to materialize nearly any object at will was a luxury that the Enterprise crew took for granted, yet it could mean the difference between survival and destruction for the Vulcan crew. Food, tools, medicines... the replicators could provide everything necessary for the Vulcans to survive in the hostile environment and more importantly, to treat the inevitable Trellium-D exposure.

Constructing the replicator units the size of those nestled comfortably in the Enterprise guest rooms wouldn't be much of a challenge. He'd repaired and replaced dozens during his engineering quests. But the Seleya would require more than the standard units. His brow furrowed as he contemplated the next item on his list. A large replicator, substantial enough to build larger structures or equipment, possibly even an entire starship component would be a tertiary goal. Not at the size or scale of an Industrial Replicator, but something to have just in case. Now that was a challenge. Yet the importance was undeniable. Tyson didn't know what situation such a piece of technology would be needed, but better to have it and not need it.

The doors to the Foundry swished open as he approached, revealing the rows of gleaming machinery and fabrication arrays. As Tyson stepped inside, he didn't hesitate to plan into motion. Setting the automated systems to begin cranking out replicator units with independent power supplies. He then sat at one of the holographic planning stations to tackle his secondary objective.

Tyson bent over the table, he was faced with a problem that no prior Federation scientist had solved. After Archer's mission into the Delphic Expanse, the Expanse itself and the anomalies that distorted space-time within its boundaries had vanished. With the Expanse's dissipation happening before the founding of the Federation, modern scientists never had a chance to decipher its intricacies or find an alternative to Trellium-D. Unfortunately, the time for experimentation was not a luxury Tyson could afford.

He glanced at the holographic blueprints projected above the table. What he had instead was a cure. A cure for Trellium-D poisoning that he would turn into a safeguard for the Vulcan crew. His solution was elegantly simple: An armband.

Tyson holographically created the device's design. The armband would house a cluster of standard hypospray containers, each filled with the Trellium-D antidote. The device would automatically administer measured doses of the antidote at six-hour intervals, carrying enough of the serum to last an entire week.

It was a solution that carried an array of strategic advantages. With these armbands, the Vulcans would be protected from the neural degenerative effects of Trellium-D. It would allow them to line their ship with the compound, shielding them from the spatial anomalies that lurked in the Delphic Expanse. And the design ensured that each of the components could be replicated as needed, including the serum it delivered.

Tyson began to materialize the prototype. He was providing them with the tools they needed to return his favor. He'd saved them and in turn, they'd save Earth. They'd be able to navigate the Expanse without the threat of spatial anomalies or Trellium-D poisoning looming over their heads. With T'Pol leading them, he had hopes of a new future for the Enterprise's mission, and the relations between their two worlds.

~~Star Trek: TNG~~

Tyson whispered to T'Pol, "I'll miss you," pulling her into a tight embrace.

T'Pol rested her head against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. "I'll miss you too," she whispered, savoring the warmth of his embrace.

"I know that you have a duty to fulfill, but know that you are not alone. All you need to do is call out to me, and I will come to you. No matter how far away I am, I will answer your call," he says in a reassuring tone.

T'Pol looks at him with a mixture of gratitude and sadness. "Thank you, Tyson. I will remember your words," she responded.

Tyson nods, his eyes locked with T'Pol's. "You have my word. I will always be here for you, T'Pol, no matter what."

Slowly, they leaned in, their lips met in a passionate embrace. The kiss was tender, yet full of yearning as if they both wished they could freeze this moment in time. Finally, T'Pol pulled away and turned to leave, her heart heavy with the weight of her responsibility. Tyson watched her walk away, but suddenly, he calls out her name. T'Pol turns to face him, and he uses his telekinetic abilities to float a lightsaber hilt to her. She catches it with ease, a look of surprise on her face.

"Live long and prosper, T'Pol," Tyson said as he raised his hand in the traditional Vulcan greeting, "and may the Force be with you."

T'Pol gripped the lightsaber hilt firmly in her grasp as she raised her other hand, and returned Tyson's farewell. He watched as she rejoined the Vulcan crew, ready to embark on her next mission. His heart was heavy with the knowledge that she may be gone for a long time. He knew T'Pol had to do what she must, but he couldn't help the feeling of emptiness that settled within him as he watched her leave.

AN: Favs, Follows, and Reviews are all appreciated.

I'm curious about what the reviews will say this week. I'll clarify, T'Pol isn't being written out of the story. As I've been working on improving my character development, I thought about what she would want, and what her goals would be.

This seemed like a natural progression of her growth. It was also a 'ripple' created as a consequence of meeting his mirror counterpart and the persistent use of IDs.

It also provides an anchor for if I wanted to write some Enterprise chapters. Though honestly, I don't have any planned. There isn't much for Tyson to gain during season 3 of ENT and nothing that needs his direct intervention that I can think of. Too bad I closed the door on S2's Regeneration when I chose S3's Impulse for the ID. It would've been a fun one and that's one of my favorite ENT episodes. Season 4 has some interesting ones… LMK if you agree or not in the reviews.

Lemons: Another week without them *Gasp* how long will the streak last?

Episode Length: I kept Episode length to around 10k words for EPs 7-11. I feel like that's the sweet spot to tell a complete story. LMK if you agree.
