As the title of the chapter, this is the Bad Ending Route of chapter twenty five. Although, I'm going to give you a fair warning. The following content of this chapter contains severe and heartbreaking scenes. Read this ending route with caution. Just to be clear about it, like the last route, we're going to leave off in the paragraph where Lucifer transforms to his ultimate form. This route shows what happens if you don't collect all three pieces of the Daybreak. You already know the disclaimer, so sit back, read through the route with care, and let our some tears if you feel the need to cry (I'm not trying to be rude. I swear!).
Chapter 25: The War's End + DLC: The True Mastermind Behind Everything (Bad Ending Route)

Now to where we left off when Lucifer began to unleash his ultimate form.
Lucifer flew above the ocean and focused his ultimate power yet. His body and the Sacred Treasures started to glow. Suddenly, the Sacred Treasures dove down, nearly touching the water, and spun around, creating a giant portal from below the surface. "What's happening?!" Pit gasped in horror. "I'm sensing something really strong from Lucifer!" Palutena exclaimed. "He's using his ultimate power yet! Pit, you have to stop him!" "Right!" Pit affirmed. "Viridi! Let me fly to stop Lucifer!" "You got it! Activating the Power of Flight!" said Viridi and Pit's wings started to glow and he flew to Lucifer in an attempt to stop him, only to be pushed back from Lucifer's Pyrokinesis power. "Argh!" he cried. "You cannot stop me from destroying the universe this time!" said Lucifer. "Rise my demons from Abyss! Come out from your prison and destroy everything to create our new world!" As if on queue, multiple unknown demons came out of the opened portal, flew above the light and dark angels, and entered the nearby town. All of the townsfolk screamed in terror once the demons started invading it. "Oh no!" Pit cried. "They're attacking the entire world, and there's too many of them!" Dark Pit exclaimed. While the light and dark angels looked at the destruction in terror, Pit saw three familiar humans along with a familiar dog running up to the angels. "Magnus! Gaol! Lily! Trent!" Pit exclaimed as he saw them again. "Angel face! What's going on?!" yelled Magnus. "There are so many demons around our world and they were the same ones that killed my child!" "Yeah! I would've stopped them if it wasn't for the Underworld Army getting in my way!" said Gaol. "Wait a minute! I thought Lady Palutena told me that it was the Underworld that did that," said Pit. "That was a lie!" said Lucifer. "The Underworld was framed by those demons before they were exiled! The Underworld wanted the mortals as their slaves and then execute them once they're useless to them, while the Abyss wanted to kill them instantly. Now that they're free, nothing in this universe can stop us!" Then Lily came up close to Lucifer slowly but surly. "What have you done to us?!" she yelled. "First you killed my mommy and daddy, then a lot more innocent people, and now you sent a horde of monsters to destroy our peaceful world!" "This universe doesn't need to live on anymore!" said Lucifer. "Everyone will die here and after we destroy the entire universe, we will spread chaos throughout the other universes! Once we destroy all of them, the new world will be ours to rule!" "Lucifer! You have to stop!" Pit yelled. "If you don't end this entire madness, all of us are going to die! What would our mom and dad think about this?!" "You don't get to decide the orders here, Icarus!" Lucifer yelled back. "In fact, I had enough of your words. Get ready, because it's time to bring out my ultimate form!" Suddenly, different souls came out of the portal and flew around Lucifer. "What are you doing with those souls?!" Pit exclaimed in horror. "Those are the souls that were killed by the Abyss and executed by the Underworld!" Palutena exclaimed. "This is not good!" "You're right! These souls that were killed by the Abyss were taken to their base thanks to the Reapers," Lucifer explained. "The Underworld wasn't the only hellscape managing the souls." "Wait! How come the Reapers were from Abyss in the first place?" Pit wondered. "Wanting to work with the Underworld was a ruse," Lucifer continued. "Now, enough talk! Prepare to meet your end! Your doom awaits!" Lucifer dove down into the portal and the souls, along with the Sacred Treasures, began to fuse within him. He later came out of the portal to reveal his most twisted and terrifying form anybody has ever seen. His body had been grown and fully molded, his eyes fueled with hunger, and his teeth were really really sharp. "What is THAT?!" Pit gasped. "I AM IN MY ULTIMATE FORM MANKIND HAS EVER SEEN!" the monster roared. "I AM THE ULTIMATE GOD WHO WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING WITHIN THIS INSUFFERABLE UNIVERSE! I AM DEMON PIT! THE GOD OF DAMNATION!" Everyone was both in shock and terror to see the most vile monster in the world. But then, Pit stood up. "You have become an insufferable monster, Lucifer!" he yelled. "Now that you're in that form, you're going to cause more destruction on all of our worlds. You may have called your demons to attack the town, but we're not going to make it worse!" He then called out his allies. "Pittoo! Viridi! Phosphora! Get over here to stop him!" Suddenly, Dark Pit, Viridi, and Phosphora appeared around Pit. "You called, Pit?" Phosphora asked. "We're here to end this once and for all!" said Dark Pit. "You will pay for what you did to my mother and all of the other innocent ones!" Viridi yelled. "Guys! Don't go!" Palutena warned. "He's too powerful and very dangerous!" "Listen, Lady Palutena! We cannot let this monster continue with his crimes any longer!" said Pit. "You must help us by granting me the Power of Flight!" "And Viridi will grant me hers as well!" Dark Pit added. "I've already called my children to protect the humans from those demons!" said Viridi. "You should do the same thing by calling your army!" "O-Okay," Palutena replied, reluctantly. "I'll call in backup to protect the humans. Get ready to face Lucifer, Pit. Activating the Power of Flight!" Pit's wings started to glow and he flew up to stop Demon Pit. "You too, Dark Pit. Activating the Power of Flight!" said Viridi and Dark Pit's wings glowed as well. Then, he flew up to stop Demon Pit from destroying the universe. "Ready, Mistress Viridi?" Phosphora asked. "It's going to be a tough fight." "I'm ready when you are, Phosphora!" Viridi replied. "Let's stop this monster to achieve peace and victory!" Phosphora nodded and the two goddess flew up after the angels to stop Demon Pit once and for all.

Pit, Dark Pit, Viridi, and Phosphora flew up to Demon Pit with their weapons and powers, Pit had his Palutena Bow and Dark Pit had his Dark Pit Staff. Viridi sent out the Forces of Nature to protect the humans from the imminent danger caused by the Abyss demons. Palutena sent out her army, along with Fighters from the Light vs. Dark and Free-for-All matches, to do the same thing. "Let's see how well you can defeat me in my ultimate form, immortals!" Demon Pit roared and started the fight by releasing powerful blows with his fists to deal big damage at his foes. Luckily, our heroes avoided those attacks. "Hah! Don't think I'm making things easy for you!" Demon Pit yelled. "Dodge THIS!" He then spawned fire beams from the ground to deal big damage, but our heroes avoided them. "Not bad, but let's see if you can dodge THIS!" Demon Pit taunted as he spewed a fiery breath from his mouth to deal MASSIVE damage and inflict our heroes with Dire Burn. One of them got inflicted with that ailment and that one was Pit. "Yikes! I'm being cooked alive!" he yelled in pain. "You should be, brother!" said Demon Pit. "You've been nothing more than a fool who tries to save the universe from evil's foul hands. Including me. But tell me, why do you continue to persist against me and my power?" "Because I cannot allow you to cause destruction on all of the innocents, Lucifer!" Pit yelled. "You ruined MANY of our lives and we're going to stop you from continuing any longer! Once we end your madness, we're going to bring everything back!" He shot many arrows at Demon Pit to stun him for a while and then attacked him with a melee combo. "Argh! You are so naïve, Icarus!" he yelled in pain. "I will not let you get in the way of my master plan!" He tried to attack Pit with a fireball, only to be stopped by Dark Pit's shot from his Dark Pit Staff. "You are a fool for trying to destroy the universe!" he yelled. "Destruction is not the answer to your family's legacy! You're just making your problems much worse! Cease all of this immediately, or else we won't hesitate to defeat you! If not, then TAKE THIS!" He soon used his Dark Pit Staff to deal lots of ranged-based damage at his enemy to stun him "I'm only doing what's right, Dark Icarus!" Demon Pit yelled. "I will not let idiotic morons like you ruin everything I have planned for. My hard work will be a waste if you defeat me. But at the same time, I'd rather not see your pathetic faces once I'm either defeated or done with you!" He then spewed another fiery breath from his mouth at Dark Pit, but his attack was blocked by Viridi's vines as a Nature Shield. "You will pay for killing my mother, Lucifer!" she yelled. "I will avenge her by defeating her murderer! After that, we will bring peace back to the whole universe! So TAKE THIS, MONSTER!" She then summoned different vines and attacked Demon Pit to deal big damage. The big massive thorns caused him to bleed a little bit. "Your mother was the same monster who killed my parents all those years ago, Viridi!" he roared. "You're taking my brother away from me, just like my Ex-Goddess, Palutena. I will not let you get in my way!" His wounds soon recovered and tried to strike at Viridi by clasping his hands to knock her unconscious, but he was stopped by Phosphora's electrical attacks. This caused him to be paralyzed for a moment. "Oh yeah? Well you will pay for ruthlessly murdering my whole family!" she yelled. "You killed my brother, my father, even myself! I will avenge them by defeating you and save the universe!" She then used Electrokinesis to summon powerful storms at Demon Pit and slow him down. "Argh! If you think I was responsible for defeating Hercules' last remains, then your dead wrong!" he yelled. "Icarus was responsible for defeating him and you didn't do anything to stop him back at that tower. You should've warned him before he did do anything so that you could see him again before he died." Pit heard that and unleashed more arrows from his Palutena Bow at his enemy. "I had NOTHING to do with that, Lucifer!" he yelled. "Hercules' last remains was helping me during the Chaos Kin incident when Lady Palutena was in trouble! He wanted his sister to move on and keep Phos and Lux in perfect harmony so that Lady Palutena's army and the Forces of Nature won't fight each other anymore. I can also tell that Zeus feels the same way, since his last remains helped me to save Lady Palutena. But because you killed him, along with Gaia, you must pay the price! The war began because of YOU and it's our job to stop this forever." "We'll see about that, brother!" said Demon Pit. He then rose up into the air and slammed his fists down to create a massive shockwave. That caused the water to rise up from the ocean with full force to deal huge damage. Luckily, our heroes avoided the big splash and counterattacked with their weapons and powers. This stunned Demon Pit temporarily. "Arrgh! Damn it! Not again!" he yelled in pain. "Now's our chance, team!" Pit yelled. "Let's finish him!" The others nodded and charged up their powerful attacks. Pit readied his Palutena Bow charged shot, Dark Pit readied his Dark Pit Staff charge shot, Viridi readied her Solar Beam, and Phosphora readied her Electrokinesis attack. They soon charged at Demon Pit and simultaneously shouted, "YOU'RE FINISHED!" They soon unleashed their powerful attacks at the God of Damnation to defeat him once and for all. "NNNOOOOOOOO!" he roared and tumbled down to the ocean.

The quartet landed back on land as they watched their enemy sink down into the water below and into the portal. The souls from his body came out of him and went back into the portal. They also noticed something else flying from up above. The demons were retreating from the town and back into the portal they came from. The portal finally closed up again and the demons were sealed there for all eternity. "I can't believe it! We did it!" Pit yelled in victory. "Whew! Thank goodness it's finally over," Viridi sighed in relief. "That was WAY too close for comfort," said Phosphora. "If you didn't call us in the first place, Pit, we wouldn't have seen the light of day ever again." "Thanks for helping me, guys," Pit thanked. "I couldn't have done it without you." "Don't mention it, Pit," said Dark Pit. "I'm glad to see that all of you are safe," said Palutena, who just came to see them along with Arlon and Cragalanche. "Thank goodness you're all in one piece," Arlon sighed. "Let's go home. We've done everything to save the whole universe," Palutena continued. "After our rest, we can celebrate with a big party!" "Yeah!" Pit, Dark Pit, Viridi, and Phosphora agreed, simultaneously. But their celebration was cut short when they felt something rumbling and crumbling beneath the Earth. "Wh-What's happening?!" Pit yelled. "Hehehehehehehahahahahahahahaha!" laughed a sinister voice. Suddenly, a portal opened up and Demon Pit's arm came out of the ocean. "If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me, brother!" he yelled as his arm grabbed Pit and pulled him into the water. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled as Demon Pit's arm pulled him into the portal and it closed up. "PIT!" everybody cried in fear.
Meanwhile, somewhere mysterious, Pit slowly woke up and looked around his surroundings. "What the? Where am I?" he wondered. Before he could look around to figure it out, came out of the shadows. "We're in purgatory, also known as the Void, Icarus," he said. "In the Void, there is no escape and we're stuck in here forever. But there is only one way for one of us to escape; a fight to the death!" Suddenly, his body began to change after absorbing the Void's powers. His hair and wings glowed brighter from their original colors, his eyes turned black, and he grew big, sharp, bloody fingernails. "What's happening to you?!" Pit exclaimed in shock. "Allow me to introduce myself as Corrupted Lucifer!" the Devil replied. "With this new form, I will claw and maul your body into pieces and then devour your corpse whole!" Pit readied his Palutena Bow and the battle between the two brothers within the Void began.

Corrupted Lucifer started the fight by summoning two of the Shadow Pit Clones. "Think you can defeat me without your friends, Icarus?" he asked. "Because in the Void, nobody is here to help you. It's just a fight between you and me. Mono el mono." "What's that supposed to mean?" Pit asked. "Dumbass, it means man to man," Corrupted Lucifer groaned with a facepalm. "But for this case, it's between brother to brother. Our Civil War between Icarus, the flightless angel of Skyworld, servant of the Goddess of Light, Palutena, Captain of her guard, and me, Lord Lucifer, the Devil of Abyss and evil patriarch leader of the Dark Allies. Let's see if you can win against me! Who will be the victorious one? Heaven or Hell?!" "If you think I'll never return victorious, you've got yourself another thing coming, Lucifer!" Pit yelled. "I will win and come back to my friends!" "We'll see about that!" said Corrupted Lucifer. "Charge, minions!" The Shadow Pit Clones attacked Pit with their First Blade and Standard Orbitars. Luckily, our hero dodged those attacks and counterattacked by launching arrows from his bow to defeat both clones. "Is that all you got, Lucifer?" he taunted. "I'm just getting started, Icarus," Corrupted Lucifer replied. "Let's see if your light can fear MY darkness!" He then summoned dark waves and struck his brother with them. Pit avoided those attacks and used a melee combo with his Palutena Bow to counterattack. "Your darkness can't hide from the light, Lucifer!" he yelled. "Hades and Medusa may have been destructive and wicked, but they are nothing compared to YOU! You just want to destroy the entire universe to bring our family back?! It's not right for our legacy!" "You're one to talk, brother!" said Corrupted Lucifer. "Now try dodging THIS!" He then charged at Pit and attacked with his sharp nails. "Yikes!" Pit yelped. "No use running away from me, Icarus!" said Corrupted Lucifer. "Once I'm done with you, your corpse will be devoured whole!" He continued his attack until Pit was inflicted with Bleed. To make things worse, he grabbed his brother and sunk his teeth into his flesh, grinding them with full force to deal heavy damage. "Ack! It hurts!" Pit cried in pain. "Are you having fun, Icarus?" Corrupted Lucifer taunted. "Your blood is delicious and I can't wait to taste the rest of your corpse!" "Not on my watch!" Pit yelled as he stabbed Corrupted Lucifer in the left eye with the tip of his Palutena Bow. "Ouch! My eye!" he yelled in pain. "Not it's MY turn!" Pit yelled, as his wounds healed themselves, and shot a lot of arrows at his brother. Then he used a melee combo to strike him down. "Playing rough, aren't we?" said Corrupted Lucifer. "I'll just have to play a lot rougher. Try escaping THIS!" He slammed his fists on the ground and dark pointy vines rose from underneath. They wrapped around Pit in a vice-like grip and their sharp spikes jabbed into his flesh. "Argh! It hurts! I-I can't move!" he cried in pain. "No use breaking free from those vines, Icarus!" said Corrupted Lucifer. "You will die here with the rest of those fools once I destroy the universe." Pit struggled to break free, but the vines continued to stay in a strong grip. Matters have gone worse when Pit started bleeding badly. "N-Not Lethal B-Bleed again!" he gasped. "M-Must break f-free!" He then used the Palutena Bow to slice the vines and break free. After his wounds healed for a while, he and Corrupted Lucifer began to slash at each other with their weapons. "I don't want to fight you, Lucifer!" Pit started. "You're the only brother I had left before you became this way ever since our parents died. Can't we just settle this some other way?" "I'm sorry, Icarus, but this is the only way to settle this!" the Devil replied. "This is our ultimate battle to see who will be the victorious one and left alive to leave this place." They continued to slash at each other until Pit gained the upper hand and shot many arrows at Corrupted Lucifer. He then finished the evil brother off with a melee combo.
Music stops and switches to: Playing with Firepower by Terraria Calamity from ENNWAY! (A.K.A. Corrupted Lucifer's Battle Theme)
"Alright, Icarus. No more playing games!" Corrupted Lucifer yelled. "I've had enough of you! YOU JUST MADE ME ANGRIER!" Suddenly, his body started to glow very bright. "PINCH MODE ACTIVATED! PREPARE TO MEET YOUR DOOM, BROTHER!" he yelled and summoned another powerful weapon; the Reaper Scythe. "How did you get that and what happened to you?!" Pit asked in shock. "YOU JUST MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR AFTERLIFE, ICARUS!" Corrupted Lucifer yelled. "I AM NOW KNOWN AS REAPER LUCIFER! WITH MY REAPER SCYTHE FROM THE GREAT REAPER, I WILL SWIPE YOUR SOUL OUT OF YOUR BODY AND THEN DEVOUR THE REMAINS OF YOUR CORPSE!" "YIKES!" Pit screamed as he ran away in terror, while Reaper Lucifer flew after his brother at full speeds. He then proceeded to attack him with a melee combo from his scythe. This caused BIG damage, due to his Pinch Mode, and Pit started to bleed. "Argh! I-I'm b-bleeding again!" Pit cried in pain. "WITH THIS POWER, YOU WILL DIE HERE WITH NO ONE LEFT TO SAVE YOU, ICARUS!" Reaper Lucifer yelled. "TAKE THIS!" He then charged at Pit with his scythe, while it was glowing brightly, only for the angel to barely dodge it despite being a little slow. "How did you do that?!" he yelped. "MY "DEATH" SKILL IS POWERFUL WITH THIS WEAPON!" said Reaper Lucifer. "IT HAS A 45% CHANCE OF REAPING YOUR SOUL OUT OF YOUR BODY! YOU JUST GOT LUCKY AFTER DODGING THAT, BUT IT WILL NOT BE ENOUGH!" He then charged at the angel again with another Death attack. After Pit's wounds healed, he blocked the next attack with his Palutena Bow then pushed him back. After that, Pit proceeded to deal heavy damage with a melee and shooting combo from his weapon. "OUCH!" Reaper Lucifer howled. "How are you even taking that much damage?" Pit questioned. "THIS PINCH MODE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER ONES YOU FACED BEFORE," Reaper Lucifer explained. "MY POWER IS INCREASED TO 150%, BUT MY DEFENSE IS DECREASED TO 65%!" "Talk about number balance," said Pit. "BUT YOU WILL STILL NEVER LEAVE THIS PLACE!" Reaper Lucifer yelled. "DODGE THIS!" Suddenly, deadly lasers came out of his eyes and Pit barely avoided them. However, one of the lasers hit him and he was inflicted with Burn. "Hot hot hot hot HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!" he yelped. "IS THAT YOUR BEST?" Reaper Lucifer taunted. "I WILL COOK YOU ALIVE AND EAT YOU WHOLE!" "Lucifer, I'm begging you! Stop all of this now!" Pit pleaded. "I just want you to reconsider your actions and maybe even talk about this!" "I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU ARE DEAD!" Reaper Lucifer yelled. "I MUST END YOUR LIFE AND FEED YOUR BODY TO THE CROWS!" "Fine! You leave me no choice!" said Pit as he charged at Lucifer and began a melee combo without stopping. At long last, Reaper Lucifer was defeated. "AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" he yelled in pain and defeat. "I'm sorry..." Pit sighed.

Lucifer collapsed to the ground, returned to normal, and was nearly on the verge of dying. "D-Don't think *cough* you've w-won...Icarus...!" he coughed as blood came out of his mouth. "R-Remember when I said *cough* one w-would win to *cough* leave...?" Pit nodded. "W-Well... I lied! *cough*" Lucifer continued. "F-Face it, Icarus! *cough* Y-You have l-lost! *cough* There is n-no way *cough* out of the Void...! You're trapped here f-forever! *cough* T-Try your luck. Y-You cannot *cough* leave this place...! I m-may have not *cough* been a-able to d-defeat *cough* you, but at least y-you will *cough* join me once you die h-here *cough* as w-well...! Remember those *cough* w-words...Icarus...! B-Because if you don't, then d-don't say *cough* I didn't warn you... It's o-over, *cough* I-Icarus! HehehehehehahaHAHAHAHAHA!" Soon, he died and his body disintegrated into nothing. "Like I'll believe you, Lucifer!" Pit yelled. "Now to find the way out of here!" He then ran around the Void to find the way out of there. He has been searching the whole purgatory to find the exit, but he couldn't find one. "H-How?!" he cried. "I-I-I thought there would be an exit to escape this place!" But then, he remembered his brother's words. "I-Is he telling the truth? T-There is...no way out of here...?" he asked in disbelief. "N-No... That can't be real! I can't be stuck in here!" But he wasn't stuck for long when suddenly, lots of hand silhouettes from the Chaos Vortex appeared around him and pulled him down into the darkness. "N-NO! LET ME GO!" Pit yelled as he struggled to break free, but the hands' grip was too strong. Soon enough, Pit was pulled deep into the Void. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled in his last breath before being dragged into the eternal darkness and died. Both the angel and the Devil were dead.
Meanwhile in the Overworld, Palutena, Viridi, and all of the others were crying after witness what happened to the young angel. "N-no! Pit!" Palutena cried. "My poor little angel boy! This can't be happening!" "I helped him when you suffered by the hands of both his evil brother and the Chaos Kin, Palutena," Viridi sobbed. "How could this happen?! He can't be gone! He could've found a way out of Lucifer's grasp at this moment." NOBODY could even hold their tears as they continued to cry over the loss of their only hero and protector of their lives. Dark Pit was watching them from afar. "I can't believe he dragged Pit into the deep dark portal," he said with a sigh. But before he could continue, he suddenly felt a little dizzy. He was about to collapse to the ground until Phosphora caught him in time. "What's happening to you?!" she cried. "I-I don't f-feel so good..." Dark Pit coughed. "How is that possible?" Arlon asked. "He's starting to disappear soon," a voice said to the others. That voice came from Pit, who looked more angelic than before with a glowing white body and a halo crown on top of his head.

"P-Pit?!" Palutena gasped upon seeing the angel again. "W-What happened to you?!" Pit sighed before saying, "I'm dead because the Void swallowed me whole. Since Dark Pit is connected to me, he's going to disappear soon. There's no way to bring him, nor me and my brother, back here." Everyone was shocked to hear this and began to tear up. "D-Disappear?!" Phosphora cried. "Y-You mean...! N-No! This can't be real!" Lucifer appeared behind his brother with a glowing body and a halo crown. "Come on, Icarus. We have to go," he said. "I'll be right there, Lucifer," Pit replied. "I just have to say goodbye to my friends first." Lucifer nodded and flew up to the sky to wait for his brother to go with him. Pit slowly walked up to Palutena. "Lady Palutena, I want to thank you for helping me out during my adventures," he told her. "You're the only goddess who looked up to me like the mother I had in the past. But now, you're going to have to protect the humans without me." Palutena teared up as she hugged her "son" and sobbed on his shoulder. "I'll always love you and do whatever it takes to protect mankind, Pit!" she cried. Pit hugged his lady back and silently let out tears as well. After that, they let go of each other. Pit then walked up to Phosphora and Dark Pit. "Phosphora, you may have been flirtatious with me during our first meeting, but that doesn't change the fact that you've been helping me till the very end," he said. "And Dark Pit, you may have been flawed clone of me, but you're also a part of me. There was a reason why I saved you from the Chaos Kin. It's because I wanted you to be happy with Phosphora. But since I'm dead, I guess that's not going to happen. I want to thank you both for helping me end this war for good." He then landed on his knees, allowing Phosphora to hug both him and his dark counterpart, as she let out tears of sadness. Dark Pit also silently let out tears and so did his light counterpart. "I'm happy that you protected me and saved Dark Pit from the Chaos Kin, Pit," Phosphora sobbed. "You're like a brother to me after Hercules ever since he died." "I say the same to you, too," said Dark Pit. "I'm glad to have a brother like you. Even though I did a lot of bad things to you, but still. And after I saw your real brother did the same thing, I... I feel ashamed of myself." After a while, Pit let go of the dark angel and Lightning Nymph. He then walked up to Arlon. "Arlon, I'm happy to have someone help me out on my adventures and take care of me while Lady Palutena was under Lucifer's and the Chaos Kin's control," he said. "So, I'm going to do the same thing for you and your allies as a guardian angel. Please don't forget about me." He gently hugged the Serene tightly and tears silently fell out of his sockets. Arlon wrapped his arms around the angel and sobbed on his shoulder. "I'll never forget you, young master Pit," he cried. "I'll do anything I can in honor of your final sacrifice." They soon let go of each other and Pit walked up to Cragalanche. "Cragalanche, even though you don't talk much, I'm happy to have you as one of my good buddies," he said. "I enjoyed spending time with you, like sparring or training for my missions. How about we do a little fist bump?" He held up his fist for one and Cragalanche complied. He then gently hugged Pit, even though he was already dead, just in case the angel didn't feel more pain. A single tear silently came out of his right eye which shocked everybody else. I-I never thought Craglanche would even cry, Arlon thought to himself. After the Mighty commander and angel let go of each other, Pit walked up to Viridi. Viridi was about to say something, but Pit started before her, "Listen, Viridi. I want to say that I'm sorry for everything. I should've ran away in order to avoid Lucifer's attack, but I couldn't let the Devil roam around the universe any longer. None of this would've happened if I didn't break the Mirror of Truth or even meet you or your forces." Viridi was left speechless with tears in her eyes after she heard all of that. That is, until she finally spoke, "P-Pit... What are you going to do now?" Pit said nothing and instead putted something in Viridi's hands. "P-Pit? What did you just gave me?" Viridi wondered. "How about you take a look for yourself, Viridi?" Pit asked. Viridi did so and looked at the object Pit gave her. Turns out Pit gave Viridi...a ring? "Is this...the Ring of Chaos?" the Goddess of Nature asked and Pit nodded. "B-But...this is... Your...soul..." Viridi cried as she began to tear up again. "W-Why would you give me this?" Pit placed his hand on hers. "Take it with you, Viridi," he said. "I won't leave you permanently. With that ring on your finger, I will always be by your side. But please promise me that you will keep plants, humans, and other living creatures alive when you're around here." Viridi looked up at Pit with a sad face. "P-Pit... I-I-I don't know what to say about this..." she stuttered. "*sniff* I guess this is goodbye. I'm going to miss you so much!" She bursted into tears as she fell to her knees. "Viridi..." Pit started as he held Viridi's chin with his hand. "You may be a weirdo, maybe even a bit of a hothead. But, you're a kind, strong, and caring girl. I know you can do anything to protect the Earth along with Lady Palutena and your commanders." "Pit, I-" Viridi started, but Pit soon came down to his knees and wrapped his arms and wings around her in a warm embrace. He then gently gave her a kiss on her left cheek. "Goodbye, Viridi," he sighed. "I hope you can keep my promise forever." Viridi returned the hug by wrapping her own arms around him. "Goodbye, Pit," she sobbed. "And I'm sorry...for everything... Thank you for protecting all of us in your last sacrifice..." With that, they both let go of each other and Pit slowly rose up to the sky to see his brother again. Everybody cried to see him gone, but that was the least of their problems. "G-Guys... I don't...feel so good..." Dark Pit grunted as he continued to fade away. "Dark Pit! I can't continue on without you!" Phosphora cried. Dark Pit slowly got up and gently embraced the Lightning Nymph. "Listen, Phosphora," he started. "Like Viridi, you're a strong girl. Your family wanted you to live on, no matter how bleak this has become. Just so you know... I'll always remember you..." "I'll miss you forever!" Phosphora sobbed. "Mistress Viridi and I will be strong for you and the other angel brothers!" They both continued to embrace each other until Phosphora couldn't feel Dark Pit's presence anymore. "Dark Pit?! DARK PIT?! NNNOOOOO!" she cried and burst into a fountain of tears. Nobody could hold their tears anymore either. The ultimate villain and our hero of the universe, as well as his dark self, were dead. It was over...
