"We need to find a way out of here, Sam." Mike reminded his partner in crime.
"Well, if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them." Sam rolled his eyes.
"Hmm... gimme a minute," Mike said before nodding. "I'm working on it, don't worry."
"You making a plan is what worries me." Sam mumbled to himself.
They then looked over as Miranda and Darren seemed to be getting along together so far.
"Well, at least someone around here is having some kinda fun." Sam shrugged.
"Yeah, they must be up to something." Mike said suspiciously.
Sam rolled his eyes, but sighed as he and Mike continued to do their chore. "Come on, we better keep polishing the blades of grass before Officer Killgallen has a stroke." he then suggested.
"Aw, right... this pointless chore..." Mike sulked before he looked over. "Do we have to polish every blade of grass?!" he then called out to the man in charge of them.
"Every blade, Froud and Dolan! And no more sass out of ya two if ya know what's good for ya!" Officer Killgallen snapped.
"Sir, yes, sir." Mike and Sam responded as respectively as they could.
Officer Killgallen nodded and soon stepped away as they continued to use tweezers to pluck blades of grass into a neat pile and polish them off with a cloth.
Meanwhile, at Camp Caprice, the girls engaged in their own activities. The girls were playing field hockey while Zoey cheered on her cousin in action.
"You got this, Ginger! It's all you!" Zoey called out.
Reggie soon passed the ball to Ginger who then caught it with her stick, but the ball accidentally went flying. Dodie yelped and cried out as the ball was coming right at her, but she luckily deflected it with her clipboard to block it from her face. The girls jeered at that as Dodie was soon okay and not harmed.
However, Dodie decided to play "camp counselor" right now and blew her whistle to get their attention. "Listen up, people!" she then began to say.
"Dodie, you ruined my shot!" Ginger complained.
"Matilda is in labor!" Dodie retorted as she picked up the ball.
"Whose team is Matilda on?" Helga Pataki wondered as Moze shrugged.
"Matilda, the Camp Caprice cow, is in labor," Dodie clarified firmly. "Anyone who wants to witness an actual birth should hotfoot it up to the Animal Farm ASAP!" she then directed.
"Come on, Ginger, let's go see Matilda." Zoey suggested.
"I agree," Ginger nodded at her cousin. "Macie, let's go."
Soon, the three headed off as Dodie tossed the ball over her shoulder to follow them. Lil and Rhonda were still talking until they saw some girls coming their way.
"Hey, what's going on?" Lil wondered.
"Matilda is in labor," Ginger explained urgently. "If you wanna see her, we'll have to be quick."
"All right then," Lil nodded before she got ready to dash off. "See ya, Rhonda! Gotta go!"
"Lil, remember what I said!" Rhonda called out to the brunette girl. "No one can know about you know what!"
"Okay, Rhonda, okay..." Lil rolled her eyes.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone!" Rhonda reminded her.
"I won't!" Lil said as she went to catch up with Ginger, Zoey, and Dodie.
"See that you don't." Rhonda nodded as she sighed to herself before looking around for Angelica or Savannah expectantly.
At the animal farm, Sasha stood beside Matilda as she was due to give birth at any moment as several girls surrounded them at the fence. "Shh... It's okay, girl. You're doing fine." he said softly.
"He's so good with animals." Eliza remarked.
"Just like Arnold." Reggie agreed.
"Actually, I'm a touch nauseous." Macie muttered.
Matilda mooed lowly as she looked a little sickly.
"Come on, you're doing fine." Sasha said as he tried to soothe the pained cow.
"Okay, kids! Here we go!" The farmer told the campers on the other side.
"Somebody get another towel and some hot water!" Sasha soon cried out.
"I got it!" Ginger volunteered before darting off right away.
Matilda still cried out in pain while Sasha did his best to comfort her.
"Easy, girl. Easy now." Sasha soothed the bovine.
"Come on now! Where's that water?!" The farmer called out urgently.
"Here it is!" Ginger called back as she came in through the fence with a bucket of water and a towel.
"Here it comes, everyone!" The farmer told the witnesses.
The girls murmured and chattered amongst themselves as this was a very big and important moment in Camp Caprice's history right now. Macie couldn't bear to watch as she suddenly fainted while everyone else looked excited while Ginger helped out Matilda. Zoey looked concerned for her cousin, but stayed put so that she wouldn't interfere. And then within moments, Matilda let out one last moan of pain which meant one thing...
"It's a bull!" Sasha announced once the calf was born and Matilda licked her new child instantly.
"A bouncing baby bull!" Jed cheered from the other side. "Yee-haw!"
"So, uh, hey, Sasha? What's his name?" Dakota called out as she stood beside Courtney.
Ginger smiled as she got a towel ready until she frowned at what Sasha just said next.
"Ian."
"Oh, what a coincidence!" Courtney smiled obliviously. "Just like Ginger's boyfriend!"
Ginger gasped and felt a bit mortified as Courtney just did that.
"Well, that's a little embarrassing." Zoey remarked.
"Uh, I'll go talk to her about that later." Dakota promised.
"Say, Lil, we saw you were with Rhonda earlier." Macie pointed out.
"What?! You did?!" Lil asked with wide eyes. "What did you see?"
"Nothing, just that you were talking, but we didn't know what you were talking about." Dodie replied.
"Ohhh..." Lil said before sighing in relief. "Thank goodness."
Macie and Dodie just gave her weird looks.
"Uh... say! Whatya say we take a look at that new bull at Camp Caprice?" Lil then suggested before she walked away rather quickly.
"Well, that was very queer." Macie remarked.
"Indeed... what do you think Lil could be up to?" Dodie added curiously.
"I'm not sure, but it's none of our business," Macie replied. "We shouldn't get involved, Dodie."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that, Macie," Dodie narrowed her eyes. "I think I'm gonna keep a very close eye on our fallen friend who has been sent to a different cabin this summer."
"If you say so." Macie shrugged.
LATER THAT NIGHT...
The girls began to sing their summer camp song aloud while Angelica and Savannah seemed annoyed by the song while they tried to either do their nails or brush their hair.
"Ginger!" Melanie cried out eagerly.
"Hey, Melanie." Zoey smiled at the younger girl.
"Hi, Melanie." Ginger added softly.
"What's wrong?" Melanie frowned as Ginger didn't sound very happy.
"I'm just... I need to... Nothing..." Ginger explained before she looked unhappy again.
"Do you miss your boyfriend, Ian?" Melanie guessed.
"Ian's not my boyfriend, Melanie! He's just a guy I go to school with." Ginger explained calmly.
"That's not what my brother said!" Melanie replied.
"Your brother?" Ginger and Zoey both asked curiously.
"Yeah! Sasha said you can't be his girlfriend because you're already someone's girlfriend!" Melanie replied.
"Ohhh... so that's why he's been acting so strange." Zoey remarked.
"Thanks, Melanie," Ginger smiled at the younger girl. "Uh, listen, you left your guitar the other day. Stop by my cabin to pick it up later, okay?" she then added.
"Oki!" Melanie beamed.
"What a little sweetheart." Zoey smiled at that.
"There he is! The man of the hour!" Jed announced as Sasha came by the campfire while Cindy Vortex and Libby Folfax eagerly surrounded him.
"You wanna go talk to him?" Zoey asked Ginger.
"Yeah, I should," Ginger nodded as she walked over to the boy, causing Cindy and Libby to be angry at first. "Sasha, can we talk?"
Sasha just glanced at her in response as Cindy and Libby got out of the way.
"I think I know why you're mad at me," Ginger said to Sasha as they walked further away from the campfire to have some privacy. "This is about Ian, right?"
"Hey, you don't have to explain anything to me, Ginger," Sasha scoffed as he headed right over to the lake. "Besides, I've got it all figured out."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ginger wondered.
"Nothing. I just finally realized what kind of girl you are." Sasha replied as he glanced back at her over his shoulder.
"Oh, really?" Ginger glared as she crossed her arms. "And what kinda girl is that?"
"A wannabe." Sasha simply stated.
"What?!" Ginger gasped as that seemed to cut her deeply.
"A former 'nobody' who just wanted to be cool," Sasha explained as he sat down by the lake and skipped a rock over the water. "So you cozied up to girls like Courtney and guys like Ian, 'Mr. Rich and Popular', right? Yeah, that's what's important to a guy." he then added with a scoff.
"How dare you!" Ginger glared out of anger as she approached Sasha. "You shouldn't judge people you don't even know, Sasha! You don't know Courtney, and you don't know Ian, and you certainly don't know me!" she then added before storming off and saw her cousin in the bushes. "How much did you see and hear?"
"Oh, I think I heard pretty enough," Zoey replied as she put her arm around Ginger. "Come on, let's get you out of here."
"Thanks, Zo." Ginger nodded, not even mad that her cousin listened in on them again.
The two girls then walked away while Sasha looked very frustrated.
MEANWHILE...
At the military camp, it was time for lights out which meant that everyone had to report to bed right away for another hectic day of training in the morning. However, Miranda and Darren had other things in mind for their evening. They began to sneak away while the lights were scanning the campgrounds for any wandering campers.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Miranda asked Darren as they hid behind a truck.
"Come on, Miranda! Don't get cold feet on me now!" Darren told her urgently.
"I'm not!" Miranda told him as he was about to move again until she stopped him. "W-W-Wait! Wait for the light!" she then reminded him as the light was about in their view.
"All right, we move on three," Darren suggested. "Stay low, and whatever you do, don't look back!" he then added before getting on his hands and knees briefly. "One... Two..."
Miranda saw the light pass by and soon ran ahead of Darren. "Three!" she then called out.
The two panted and ran away together.
"Look, dude, Miranda and Darren are getting away." Sam pointed out from where he was with Mike as the two were thinking about how to escape.
"We better go with them! They might have a way out of here." Mike added as he ran right out the door suddenly.
"Wait for me!" Sam cried out as he ran after Mike. "Oh, man, I would kill for Star Power from a Mario game right about now." he then groaned to himself.
Miranda and Darren soon ran over to the docks and began to take off their shoes and socks.
"Hey!" Sam called, startling the two of them suddenly. "Are you guys trying to get out of here?" he then asked.
"Yeah, but if you value your life, you won't tell my dad." Miranda threatened with a dark snarl and glare.
"Don't worry, we won't tell anyone, we wanna get out of here too." Mike reassured them.
"Really?" Darren asked, sounding shocked at first.
"Yeah, we don't have time to explain, but it's a mission out of true love." Mike replied, a bit dramatically.
"Oh, how cheesy." Miranda rolled her eyes.
"And yet so romantic." Darren remarked.
"You call it what you want, it's a pile of stinky cheese to me." Miranda replied.
"All right, just get off your shoes and socks and we'll swim back," Darren then told Sam and Mike. "You guys do know how to swim, right?" he then added.
"We sorta had lessons against our will back at Camp Wawanakwa." Mike replied.
"At least we weren't Scott though, right Mike?" Sam chuckled as he began to take off his shoes and socks.
"Too true, Sam. Too true." Mike smirked as he began to do the same.
Miranda then splashed into the water once she was ready, then Darren followed behind her.
"Well, this is it, let's go." Sam told Mike.
"Right." Mike nodded at that.
And with that, the two jumped into the water together to go for their swim.
"Hey, wait for me!" Otto cried out as he ran to the docks before slipping on their shoes and socks, and falling into the water. "Wah! Ugh... Can this get any worse?" he then complained once he suddenly made it into the water with his clothes soaking.
Suddenly, as if on karmic cue, a light shined down on the redheaded, dreadlocked boy.
"Otto Rocket, it's a bit late for a swim, wouldn't you say?" Gus glared as he shined his flashlight on the boy.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Otto complained. "Darren, Miranda, Mike, and Sam were escaping before I showed up here!"
"I see... and where are they now?" Gus demanded.
"Right there!" Otto pointed out into the water, but the four were already under the water right now.
"Uh-huh... The Blame Game never works out..." Gus sighed and shook his head. "Tsk, tsk, tsk." he then tutted.
Otto groaned as he seemed to have yet another misfortune plagued on him against his will.
"Can you get out of the water on your own?" Gus asked then.
"Yeah, I guess..." Otto rolled his eyes as he soon grabbed onto the dock and tried to pull himself out. "Say, uh, no need to tell anyone about this, right? You don't wanna be a snitch like Randall Weems, right?" he then added hopefully.
"I don't want to, but I have to be in this case," Gus replied. "No special treatment for any soldiers, not even me."
"So, what's the worse that happens to me?" Otto asked as he began to follow Gus back to the campground. "Am I gonna scrape off the barracks too?"
"No, I think your offense will be peeling onions for dinner." Gus replied.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Otto complained. "Why is the world against me lately?!"
"Come on, Otto. The less you struggle, the better." Gus advised.
Otto grumbled as this was officially the worst summer of his life while the campers at Camp Caprice could be heard singing in the distance while Mike, Sam, Darren, and Miranda continued to swim away.
Meanwhile, at camp, the girls were all watching a scary movie called Swamp Son 3 about a girl whose boyfriend ended up being a dangerous sea monster. The girls either cheered or screamed depending on how they felt about the movie and the movie soon ended with a giant "TO BE CONTINUED".
Dodie soon blew her whistle as the girls chattered in excitement, making them all quiet suddenly. "That's it! Save the chitchat for tomorrow at breakfast!" she then told them. "Lights out in 25 minutes. You know the rules."
The girls then got up and got ready to leave to their respective cabins.
"Is she this bad in the cabin?" Lil asked Zoey and Dakota.
"Not as bad as you think, but I'd prefer not to wake up with a whistle in my ear." Zoey replied.
"Tell me about it." Dakota added.
They then continued to leave the site and go back to their cabins for the evening.
"Way to go, Dodie!" Margie smiled proudly as she approached the girl with a clipboard. "You have a real knack for breaking up the fun!"
"I've been saying that for years." Lil whispered.
Zoey and Dakota chuckled quietly at that.
"Thank you, Margie." Dodie smiled as she stepped down from the stage.
"I want you to have this." Margie said as she handed Dodie a certain something.
"Is this what I think it is?" Dodie asked out of amazement as she was given a key.
"Yeah-huh," Margie confirmed with a nod. "The Camp Caprice master key; good for anything and everything that requires a key. Keep it somewhere safe." she then added.
"Oh, I will, Margie!" Dodie gushed. "Right next to my whistle which is right next to my heart!"
Margie smiled as she then stepped away.
"The key~" Dodie smiled dreamily as she had the master key all to herself.
Zoey and Dakota looked a little nervous about that, especially since this whole C-I-T thing was giving Dodie a bit of a swelled head more than usual.
