Disturbing Behavior.
I hoped to have alone time immediately the next day, but Klaus decided Rebekah needed to go shopping, which was true. The girl only had a flapper dress which would definitely raise attention.
Since I was a girl I was tasked with helping Rebekah shop while Stefan and Klaus sat and drank champagne.
"So I take it you're Nik's latest play thing?" Rebekah asked while I carried an arm full of clothing I thought would look great on her."
"If by plaything you mean all powerful witch then yeah." I replied following her to the fitting room."I have no romantic interest in your brother, I'm done with men who get furry and run on all fours."
"Into mutts are we?" Rebekah asked, grabbing half the clothes and disappearing inside the room.
"One." I replied, I figured the best route to go with Rebekah was to treat her like a normal teenage girl she looked to have been turned around the same age I am.
"There has to be more to this dress." Rebekah hissed from behind the door. I palmed my forehead forgetting she was from a different time. Being half naked was definitely taboo to her.
"There's not." Klaus laughed, as Rebekah walked out the dressing room. She may have hated the dress but god did she look amazing in it.
"So women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes then?" She paused, taking in my outfit. I was dressed in one of my usual sweat suits and boots."You know I got dirty looks for wearing trousers."
"You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing." Klaus said, taking a sip of champagne. Rebekah turned and looked at me expectantly.
"If you don't want the dress, I'll get it." I shrugged, it was too damn cute to leave here.
"Fine." She shrugged, she scrunched her face up and looked toward the ceiling annoyed." And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident."
"I do hate mall music." I agreed, trying to sort some of the clothes out from what I considered tasteful to what Rebekah might like.
"It's dance music." Stefan replied, I hated the music they played in public places; it was either too mainstream or too poppy.
"People dance to this?" She asked disgustedly. I wanted to laugh at her face but knew I couldn't. She might've taken it the wrong way.
"Are we done?" Klaus asked, he looked absolutely over being here and I couldn't blame him. He'd undaggered her for one reason and it didn't even work. Now he's stuck with her until he decides to dagger her again.
"And why are you so grumpy?" Rebekah asked, Stefan & I gave each other a look with us both being the younger sibling we could already tell which way this was about to go.
"I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids are thing, your necklace. And you lost it." He huffed standing up, it was interesting a thousand years together and they sounded like children still.
"I didn't lose it, it's just been missing for 80 years." She replied. She turned her attention to Stefan and me before modeling the dress a little."So what do you think?"
"You are absolutely perfect." I gushed, she gave me a small smile but stared at Stefan. He may have forgotten her but to her he was still the guy she was in love with. His opinion definitely mattered much more than mine did.
"I like it." He said, I palmed my forehead. He was too aloof about it anybody with a brain could see he didn't mean it. The two of us stared at Stefan giving him the exact same look."What I said I like it."
"I can always tell when you're lying Stefan." Rebekah replied, she grabbed my arm and pulled me into the dressing room with her. She went toward another outfit I'd picked out, a sparkly white top and a pair of shorts."Is this okay?"
"Yes, you'll blend right in." I replied letting the clothes I was carrying fall onto the bench."Did you wanna just get all this stuff or should we just leave it?"
"It's Nik's money." She shrugged, peeling the gorgeous dress off of her body and changing into the other outfit."It's nice to have another girl around. I think I'd go mad with just the two of them."
"Oh, it'll be an experience." I smiled as Rebekah scooped up some of the clothing, whatever items she didn't grab I picked up.
"I heard that!" She yelled out, I raised an eyebrow confused but brushed it off as she was probably talking to Klaus or Stefan."You ready?"
We headed to the register with Klaus dragging behind, it took the cashier what felt like forever to scan all the items and to my surprise Klaus actually paid for everything instead of using compulsion.
I noticed when we left the store, Stefan wasn't with us. I could write it off as nothing but Klaus and Rebekah would definitely think more into it. I sent him a text telling him to bring Rudy with him to Gloria's hopefully it wouldn't raise too many questions.
Gloria was closed today to tend to her vampire business so it was just us inside the establishment. She was sitting at a table with tons of candles set up around her, I hoovered close by her watching intently for an opportunity to sabotage her if needed. Rebekah sat on top of the bar while Klaus sat lazily beside her.
"You left us." Rebekah said dryly, Stefan held the dog up innocently. I was hoping the teenage girl in Rebekah would just melt at the sight of Rudy but she grimaced.
"Yeah sorry, retail therapy was making my head explode." Stefan said, passing me the dog."She requested I bring her fleabag."
"Rudy did nothing to you people." I scoffed as he happily licked my face.
"Tell me about it." Klaus replied frustratedly. Stefan turned his attention to Gloria who visibly looked like she wasn't having any luck.
"What's she doing?"
"Failing." Klaus replied. Gloria rolled her eyes and leaned farther into her seat.
"It's hard to find something when you have nothing to go on." Gloria replied, I hummed in agreement and she pointed at me."She gets it."
The best thing for her to do in this situation was to channel either me or Rebekah but the last thing Stefan & I needed was for Klaus to get answers.
"So use me." Rebekah said hoping off the bar, I had to fight to keep my face neutral. It was almost like the blonde read my mind."I've only worn it for 1,000 years."
"See, now this one offers a solution." Gloria said happily, Rebekah strolled over to the table Gloria was at and sat down beside her." Give me your hand sweetheart."
My mind was racing, I needed to find away to fuck this up without being obvious it was me. I gave Stefan a look who nodded giving me permission to. I set Rudy down on the floor and without even needing to say anything he went straight to Gloria.
"She's uh, she's looking for the necklace, huh?" Stefan asked, I hated the fact that Bonnie & I left town without cloaking Elena. We assumed since she was supposed to be dead she'd be safe but man were we wrong.
Without warning Rudy lifted his leg and peed straight on Gloria's foot the lady didn't even register it.
"I can sense something." Gloria said, Stefan stepped closer. I gulped that simple gesture may have given us away. I shut my eyes and knocked out a few of her candles, the ones that were farther away so they wouldn't be noticed right away." I found it."
"Where is it?" I asked, trying to hide the fact I was salty. I didn't put the candles out sooner.
"Yeah, where is it?" Rebekah asked, eager to get her necklace back. I absentmindedly grabbed my own necklace, knowing I'd feel the exact same way Rebekah did if mine disappeared.
"It doesn't work like that doll. I get images. There's a girl with her friends."Gloria explained, I relaxed a bit. Gloria couldn't exactly pinpoint the location of the necklace which meant she couldn't talk to the Original Witch and find out Elena is alive.
"Yes a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back." Rebekah growled. I winced a bit afraid for the poor soul who winded up in possession of that necklace.
"Well, I'll have to dive back in to get details." Gloria said she turned her attention to me and I gulped."I'll need your help."
"So dive." Klaus said, leaning down right beside Gloria prepared to watch her work.
"I need more time. And space you're harshing my juju." Gloria replied, I raised an eyebrow. Was she stalling for time? What exactly did she see that she wants them gone and for me to stay?
"We can wait." Klaus replied, I think this was one of his paranoid moments. If Gloria was his favorite witch, why did he suddenly seem hostile?
"I'm sure you can. But that's not what I asked." Gloria said, the two of them stared each other down. I wondered if Gloria was going to back down from what she said or if Klaus would cave in.
"Hey." Stefan strolled over and patted Klaus on the back."Hey, why don't we just come back later? I'm hungry anyway. I'll let you pick who we eat." Klaus looked at Rebekah who looked interested, I tapped my foot and Rudy came scampering back over to me. I scooped him up from the ground while they had a silent conversation.
"Do keep an eye on her." Klaus called over his shoulder as the trio finally left. Gloria and I stared at each other in silence for a few minutes waiting for the vampires to get far far away from us before we spoke.
"You know why I asked you to stay?" Gloria asked, she finally looked down at her foot with a disgusted look she peeled off the boot and tossed it across the room.
"To channel me." I said shrugging it was the obvious answer.
"No, one of the girls I saw." She replied taking off her other shoe and tossing it beside the other."She looked an awful lot like you."
"What? I have no idea where Rebekah's necklace is." I replied confused. The only person in the world who looked like me was Bonnie, Caroline seldomly wore necklaces and Elena had this ugly ass necklace she'd got from Stefan. Oh shit.
"You have a sister. A twin sister. Her friend has the necklace." Gloria answered, my face paled. Of course Stefan would give the necklace he'd got from his daggered ex-girlfriend to his current girlfriend who's supposed to be dead.
"You cannot tell Klaus." I said, I didn't want to have to beg but I would if I had to."He can't know who has the necklace."
"What is the importance of this girl?" Gloria asked." It's more to it than she's just your friend isn't it?"
"She's supposed to be dead. She's the Doppelganger." I replied there was no reason to lie and beat around the bush, Gloria was old enough to know exactly what Elena was.
"That's why the hybrids are dying." Gloria deducted. I'm sure Stefan and I came to that conclusion also. It made sense but I also feel like it made a little bit too much sense. It was almost too easy?
"I don't necessarily think so." I said putting Rudy down, he scurried off to the other side of the room most likely to finish pissing on Gloria's shoes.
"Oh?"
"I feel that's too easy. Sure finding a doppelganger is hard enough in itself but killing her being the only real requirement?" I replied, it truly didn't make sense to me but I rather not voice too much of my concerns.
"I'll tell you what, help me get the necklace and I won't say a word." Gloria said, I looked at her confused. If she was supposed to be Klaus's friend, why would she want to steal the necklace?
"Fine. Let me go to the bathroom first." I replied she raised an eyebrow at me but didn't fight me on it. I turned on my heel and walked off to the bathroom. I whipped out my phone and immediately texted Bonnie.
Elena's necklace belongs to Klaus' sister.
Get rid of it!
Now!
I quickly deleted the messages the turned on the water pretending to wash my hands. I started to go back into the main lobby but stopped in my tracks when I felt Stefan come back.
"Don't be difficult, I'd hate to tell Klaus both of his sidekicks are liars." Gloria spat, I rolled my eyes. I wasn't lying per say, just omitting the truth.
I couldn't get out there quick enough; she'd already managed to take Stefan out. I used my magic to throw her up against the wall but she was unfortunately able to do the exact same thing to me.
"This is creepy." A very familiar voice purrs before I know it Katherine stabbed Gloria in the neck, dropping me to the floor in a heap. Rudy scampered over to me and licked my face before growling at Katherine.
"Why are you here?" I asked dusting myself off, I figured the last place Katherine would want to be was anywhere near Klaus.
"I figured you two might need my help." She grinned, motioning to Gloria's body on the floor."And I was right."
"I could've taken her." I shrugged, we both turned our attention to Stefan who was slowly stirring on the floor."What the hell did she do to him?"
"Vervain." Katherine replied." I know about your plan."
"Plan?" I asked, staring down at Gloria. The witches may have taken back the extra power from Bonnie and I but I could get it back. I sat down on the floor, careful not to get too close to Gloria's blood.
"Where you infiltrate the originals and make them do your bidding? Of course I prefer Stefan's plan; he's trying to make a move on Klaus." She replied, I was curious how she knew this and I didn't when I'd spent all summer with the guy. But then again I also didn't know the necklace in question was Elena's."What are you doing?"
I chanted the incantation in my head, it was much easier to absorb Gloria's Magic than it was when Bonnie and I took the magic from the house. There was no resistance, it simply just flowed into me.
"Taking her magic. It's perfectly good and no reason to waste it." I shrugged, standing up and dusting myself off. I regretted having Stefan bring my dog here because the damn dog was in the way.
"Edgy." Katherine said. Stefan finally got up, he took one look at Gloria's body before going to get a sheet and covering her up. I think Katherine gave up on me and started talking to Stefan about a vampire Hunter, I was more concerned with explaining to Klaus why Gloria is dead when he left her here with me. If I didn't play my cards right he'd kill me on the spot.
"Alicia." Stefan called, snapping me out of my thoughts, he'd had Gloria draped over his shoulder and Rudy at his feet."Grab the dog and stay here, clean up the blood."
"Okay." I said picking up Rudy from the ground and placing him up on the bar, he was much too small to jump down to the floor and would probably be more distracted by the nasty bowl of peanuts everybody put their hands in.
I had the blood cleaned up before Stefan got back, he scooped up Rudy in one arm and grabbed me with the other.
"Uh? Easy Superman, where are we going?" I asked, confused, Katherine had left while I was cleaning up the blood.
"Dropping Rudy off then back to the warehouse." Stefan replied, before I could even say anything he'd whisked us away. I fished my keycard out of my pocket and opened up my door, I placed Rudy inside and made sure he had food and water.
"Do you mind waiting a second?" I asked , Stefan nodded and sat down on my bed. I rolled my eyes and reached inside one of my bags. I uncloaked the dagger and pulled it out the bag.
"What the hell are you doing with that?" Stefan asked as he stared at me as if I had two heads. I'm sure it looked crazy to him but I had a plan.
"It's a long shot but I wanted to use this to somehow link them together when daggered. They'd be able to communicate and I'd be able to come and go as I please." I explained, I had zero idea of what I needed to make that happen. I'd seen something about a thing called Chambre de Chasse, in one of the Martins books but I had zero idea of how I could pull it off.
"Why would you?" Stefan was confused, a range of emotions crossed his face before he settled on a frown."You're risking a lot trying that."
"I know." I smiled sadly, I recloaked the dagger and put it back into its hiding spot, I'd need to call Bonnie and ask her about to finding the spell so I knew where to start."We better get back before Klaus notices we're gone."
"I have an idea." Stefan says, I stare at him curious but frown when he holds his hand out to me. I scoff as he scoops me up and disappears, we end up back at the bar and thankfully it's still empty.
"Besides motion sickness, what's your plan?" I asked, stumbling out of his grasp.
"Gloria managed to find the necklace but she knocked you out, in hopes of finding it for herself." Stefan explained, my eyes went wide as I nodded. It was a decent cover story and since I couldn't be compelled Klaus kind of just had to accept it.
"Should we tear the place up so it looks like we fought?" I asked, looking around, Gloria's candles and grimoire still sat on the table. I hated that I would have to destroy it for this to look real.
"No, she magically did it." Stefan explained, guiding me over to the chair right beside Gloria's."When you realized what she was doing you tried to kill the spell but she took you out."
"Okay, I got it. Go before he comes back, you know he'll be checking in." I explained pushing Stefan away, with one last look he disappeared. I took out my phone and quickly took pictures of every page in Gloria's grimoire."Incinda."
My heart actually broke watching the book go up in flames, I took solace in the fact I got pictures before I burned it. I lit a few of the candles closest to me, before slapping them down. For realistic effect I sat in the chair and toppled it over, Klaus had a brilliant mind he'd know if this was bullshit. I waited a few seconds before putting the candles out. The last thing I wanted was to burn myself up by accident.
I laid on the floor and waited, for what felt like forever. I finally heard footsteps enter the building. They started out slow before turning into rapid steps, I felt myself being pulled into a lap and having something wet and copper tasting fill my mouth.
"Little witch." Klaus called out, slightly shaking me. I waited a moment before letting my eyes slowly flutter open. Klaus looked down at me with what looked like concern in his eyes.
"That bitch." I hissed, fluttering my eyes again, it took all of me not to vomit once I realized he'd fed me his blood.
"What happened?" He asked, helping me to my feet, I brushed my clothes off before slapping her charred grimoire across the room.
"She found it, told me she intended on keeping it for herself. I tried to kill the spell by torching her grimior but she knocked me out." I hissed, thankful I'd let Caroline talk me into joining drama club freshman year. If I didn't know any better I'd believe me right now.
"She did what?" Klaus growled, he grabbed the table loaded with candles and flipped it over sending wax and ash everywhere."Did she tell you where it is?"
"No, the bitch just wanted to channel me. I didn't see anything." I frowned, rubbing my temples in fake annoyance."When we find her I'm going to kill her."
"Get in line, love." Klaus smirked, he seemed calm surprisingly quick. For Gloria to have betrayed him I'd expected endless anger."Let's get out of here, meet back up with Stefan & Rebekah."
"Okay." I replied, giving Gloria's bar one last look before Klaus guided me out the front door and into his car. I noticed Katherine watching from across the street, she sent me a nod before disappearing. I raised an eyebrow as the car pulled off.
We sat in silence for the duration of the car ride, Klaus' face looked completely Stoic while I stared out the window. We came to a stop in front of the warehouse and I got nervous. What if he was so calm because he knew we were lying? He had to notice the dagger being gone by now.
"You coming Alicia?" Klaus called, I jumped when I noticed he was already outside of the car and staring at me."She really did a number on you."
"I'm fine." I shrugged climbing out the car, I followed closely behind Klaus.
"Gloria's gone. She's cleared out. Luckily we have Alicia." Klaus said, as we walked into the room. He took one look at Rebekah's face and his entire body language changed."What's going on?"
"Somethings wrong. He was asking about Mikeal. He's not with us Nik. I can sense it." Rebekah replied, I mentally face palmed. I take it Mikeal was the vampire Hunter he and Katherine were discussing. I'm not sure what would possess him to tell the man's sister that.
"Who's Mikeal?" I asked, staring confused between the three of them.
"She's wrong, Klaus." Stefan said, I gulped I knew Klaus would take his sisters word over Stefan's so trying to intervene would fuck us both over. Klaus rushed over at Stefan and snapped his neck.
"Nik." I said alarmed, the last thing I remembered was staring at Stefan's unconscious body before everything went black.
I'm not sure how much time passed but I woke up to Rudy licking my cheek. I smiled a bit relieved to see him, I flinched when I realized I was laying down in the backseat of a vehicle which was definitely in motion.
I sat up quickly. Stefan & Klaus stared at me both with completely different looks. Klaus looked skeptical, he looked angry, but also like he knew something. Stefan looked worried and judging by the look Klaus was giving me we both should be.
"What's going on?" I asked pulling Rudy into my arms.
"I told you I wouldn't keep you away from your sister forever, Love." Klaus grinned, I maintained my poker face but my heart dropped.
Klaus would find out about Elena and then he'd kill us all. I was absolutely terrified about what was in store for us.
"We're going to Virginia?"
"Correction, we're in Mystic Falls." Rebekah grinned and tilted her head. I was already mentally writing my will before the car even stopped. Klaus ended up snapping Stefan's neck again, I cringed as I watched him slump against the seat.
Klaus decided that it would be best to wait a day, he wanted to make his move during senior prank night. Every year right before school started the seniors would show up and prank the teachers, I wasn't sure how Klaus found out about it though.
He'd spent the day snapping Stefan's neck over and over again. While Rebekah just glared at me, I think her glaring was a worse punishment than Stefan was receiving.
Klaus had left first, leaving me sitting in the back of the truck with Stefan & Rebekah. Stefan was still unconscious from Klaus' last round of neck breaking.
"What's he gonna do?" I asked Rebekah, the blonde glared at me as she filed her nails.
"I think you should be more worried about what you're going to do." She replied, I was confused about what she was getting at and she was content with that. Neither of us spoke again until Stefan woke up.
"Oh, he lives." Rebekah said leaning closer to him. I kept Rudy tightly in my arms. He was my lifeline right now because the last place I wanted to ever be was stuck with a pissed off vampire.
"What happened?" Stefan asked, rubbing the back of his head.
"You took a beating. My brothers been breaking your neck all afternoon. Quite the temper." Rebekah replied carelessly.
"I lost count after 20." I said, Rebekah snorted our punishment was clearly amusing to her.
"Why did he bring us back to Mystic Falls?" Stefan asked. Rebekah & I both rolled our eyes, she looked at me then back at Stefan.
"No reason to play dumb. He knows." I replied, I watched the gears turn in Stefan's head. I'm pretty sure he's about to keep the facade going and I do not want to die because of it.
"We've done everything he's asked." Stefan replied.
"Except to mention the Doppelganger is still alive." Rebekah replied, putting her nail file away.
"Where is Klaus?"
"With any luck ripping that cows bloody head off." Rebekah replied nonchalantly, I counted down from 5 to 2 before Stefan shoved them both out the car. The two of them started to fight, I truthfully did not want to intervene but I also needed to protect my friends. Rebekah stabbed Stefan in the stomach with a crowbar and I snapped her neck with my magic. The blonde fell to the ground while Stefan pulled the metal out.
"I'm gonna go find somewhere to stash Rudy and find my sister." I replied, jumping out the truck and carefully stepping over Rebekah's body.
Stefan & I split up, I headed to Alaric's class and locked Rudy inside hoping nobody else would bother him. I used my magic to find Bonnie. I had a bad feeling in my gut but followed her magic anyway. I shoved open the doors to the gym and gulped, Klaus stood with a vice grip on Elena's arm. While Bonnie & Matt stood on the other side of the gym across from me.
"Alicia!" Bonnie called out, she started to run toward me but stopped herself she'd have to pass Klaus to get to me.
"Bonnie!" I called back scared as hell for her. We all stared back and forth at each other anticipating the next move.
"Alicia, since you're here you can help Bonnie fix the problem." Klaus said, motioning for us to stand together. I slowly made my way across the room. I sighed in relief when he didn't reach out and kill me as I passed."Help your sister figure out how I can make Hybrids."
My jaw dropped when I realized the real reason Klaus wanted me to move, Rebekah appeared from the door. I'd just come through she was dragging Tyler behind her.
"Lee?" Tyler asked, shocked. I crossed my arms while he looked at me fearfully, he was literally in death's embrace and seeing me was the problem.
"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah, word of warning she can be quite mean." Klaus says getting the attention back onto him.
"Don't be an ass." Rebekah replied clearly unamused by Klaus. This really wasn't the time for him to try and be funny right now anyway. She gets closer to Klaus before shoving Tyler into his arms. As much as I thought I hated Tyler right now, my heartached at what I knew was coming next.
"Let him go, Nik." I said lowly, it was so low, probably only Rebekah and Klaus even caught it."Please, I love him."
"Didn't you come to me and tell me how bad he and your best friend hurt you?" Klaus asked, I frowned. I fully expected anything personal I said to him to get thrown back into my face." I'm doing this for you."
"Let him go!" Elena begged, I forgot how stupid she was. If he told me no, he's damn sure gonna tell her no.
"I'll make this simple. Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a hybrid they die during transition. It's quite horrible actually." Klaus said before biting into his wrist, Bonnie had to physically grab me to stop me from rushing over to intervene. I cried out as I watched Klaus force his blood down Tyler's throat before he snapped his neck.
I dropped down to my knees hysterically while Bonnie dropped down with me; her grip on me never faltered.
"I need you two to find a way to save my hybrids. And I mean actually try." He paused, it was mostly aimed at me but I was too hysterical to even reply." And for Tyler's sake you better hurry."
I couldn't tear my eyes away from Tyler's body, Matt ended up dragging me out the room. I knew Bonnie and I needed to get to work but I couldn't.
"I know you're upset right now Alicia. But you need to pull yourself together so you can save him." Matt said holding me firmly by the shoulders so I had to look him in the eye. I took a few deep breaths trying to calm myself." What are we going to do?"
"I have no idea." Bonnie said honestly, I felt fresh tears well up in my eyes."The curse is over a thousand years old, none of our grimoires go back that far."
"Can you ask the dead witches that helped before?" Matt asked bless his heart for even considering those old shriveled up dead bitches.
"They cut us off when we saved Jeremy." I replied numbly." I have no idea what to do."
"Alicia, you are a genius." Bonnie said pulling out her phone, I just stared at her. I didn't know what I said that would make her react that way."Jeremy can talk to the dead."
"Oh? That's the weird thing?" I asked I didn't really care. And I was truly surprised I could even function properly right now. Bonnie called Jeremy's phone and frowned when he didn't answer wordlessly she tried again, and again. And again.
I pulled out my phone and swiped through the pictures I took of Gloria's grimoire and as expected she didn't have anything that would help either. I looked away from my phone and noticed both Bonnie & Matt were gone. I pressed my tongue against my cheek and used my magic to find Bonnie again, I raised an eyebrow when it led me to the pool.
"What are you guys doing?" I was confused. I dropped my phone and gulped when I saw they were both soaking wet and Matt was passed out on the floor."Tell me he didn't just drown?"
"He said Vicki can help." Bonnie replied as she performed CPR on him repeatedly.
"He can see dead people too?" I asked shocked, I shook it off and ran over to Bonnie. She held Matt's nose and breathed into his mouth while I did the chest compressions."Matt wake up! Bonnie & I haven't dated you yet."
"You have a twisted sense of humor." Bonnie said, Matt coughed up some water and the two of us hugged him. The last thing we needed was for everybody to die today, Klaus wouldn't gain anything from it because the first chance I got I'd come back and kill his ass myself.
"Never do that again."Bonnie & I said at the same time, we helped Matt up and dragged him as far away from the pool as we could get him just in case he decided he wanted to go for another dip.
"It worked. I saw her, I saw Vicky."Matt said, Bonnie & I both stopped walking and looked at him red flags went off in my head but right now we needed to work on solving our problems first.
"What did she say?" I asked, Bonnie shot me a look but I was more concerned with saving Tyler than being insensitive to Matt's drowning.
"She said she had a message for Bonnie." He replied, I rolled my eyes and shrugged." From the witch who put the curse on Klaus. She said that Elena shouldn't have survived Klaus' ritual. The Hybrids can't transition because Elena is alive."
"Tyler." Bonnie said solemnly looking between Matt and I. I frowned she was clearly going to choose Elena over Tyler surviving and I didn't like it.
"He's gonna die isn't he." Matt said for the both of us, I wiped a lone tear that slid down my face and walked off. Something I'd said to Gloria came to the front of my mind.
It just seemed too easy. .
If the witch who put the curse on Klaus did it because Hybrids shouldn't exist then would she really tell us the truth about why said Hybrids can't exist?
"I wouldn't be too sure about that." Klaus said beside me, I jumped and slammed into the lockers behind me. He chuckled."Given the choice of doppelganger or hybrid, go hybrid every time."
"Why him?" I asked, pushing myself off the lockers, I know my part in everything but I'd thought Klaus and I were almost friends." Is this to get back at me? If you were me you would've done the same thing."
"You were more loyal than Stefan, I'll give you that." Klaus said getting a bit closer to me."However everything is not about you Alicia, I needed a werewolf that would light a fire under the both of you."
"If anything happens to him, I'll kill you myself." I threatened, Klaus walked away he didn't even bother sparing me another look as he headed back inside the gym.
I punched the locker and let out a loud scream shattering several windows in the process, a light bulb went off over my head and I broke out into a sprint. Bonnie. I needed my sister.
All the madness seems to be over, I make it to the gym and I only see Matt, he's sitting on the bleachers talking to himself. Seeing the shit we saw tonight would make anybody crazy so I let him be. I backtracked back to Alaric's class and collected Rudy, I walked around for a bit searching for Bonnie but my heart dropped when I passed a classroom. Tyler was with Caroline twirling the blonde around in his arms, at the very moment he planted a kiss on her he saw me through the glass. He placed her down on her feet and started to come toward the door but I took off, they looked to be celebrating so I guess Klaus got it to work.
I forgot I didn't have a ride home, I forgot about my friends and my sister. I ran, ran until I made it to my Gramm's house. I let myself in and collapsed on the couch sobbing so viciously I felt myself shaking. I was on the verge of losing control again and I didn't know what to do.
I pulled out my phone and called Davina, I knew it was a long time. But she was very level headed and I hoped she could help me right now.
"Alicia?! You do know it's a school night." Davina said she sounded exhausted and I felt a pang of guilt for waking the younger girl up. While I was starting my senior year she was starting her freshman year, maybe I was about to unload too much on a 14 year old girl.
"I just needed someone to talk to." I replied after giving myself some time to catch my breath as long as I was distracted I couldn't blow the house up.
"Is everything okay?" She asked, I heard what sounded like her blanket ruffling as if she'd sat up to give me her full attention.
"No, you remember the guy I told you about?" I asked, there was a slight pause for a moment.
"Taylor? The dude who gave you all the money ?" She asked, I snorted at the fact she'd forgotten his name.
"Tyler but yes." I corrected."We broke up and he's now actively dating my best friend."
"Ex-best friend." Davina corrected annoyed."A real best friend wouldn't do that, I know that's not the only thing bothering you though."
"I saw him die and I felt like my entire world shattered, he's okay thankfully but my heart literally broke. And then for me to see him with her… it just made it worse."
"Died? You mean he's a vampire now?" Davina asked worriedly."You know my mom would take you in, in a heartbeat. Mystic Falls sounds like it has too much going on for you to be there."
"Hybrid actually. I played a hand in that too."
"Hybrid? You crossed paths with the Hybrid? Hybrid of what?" She asked in shock."Get your sister and fucking move."
"Vampire/Werewolf. If things were that simple I would."
"They are." Davina replied I could tell she was shaking her head in disbelief. She'd had a point unlike her: I wasn't bound to Mystic Falls. My magic would be the same no matter where I went. But I knew Bonnie would never abandon Elena which meant I was stuck in this god forsaken town.
