Last time, Dark Pit took off into the Chaos Vortex to face against Pit, Lucifer, and the Chaos Kin in order to bring Palutena's soul back to her body. But little did he know that Lucifer planned a big surprise for the dark angel after he spotted the Chaos Kin. The two of them squared off until they were taken to the arena. When Dark Pit and Pit fought against each other, the original was victorious and both he and his brother killed the dark angel. With Pandora's powers in Pit's wings, and Palutena's soul weakened after a ritual in the Chaos Vortex, there was only one target left for the angel to hunt; Viridi, the Goddess of Nature. What will happen to the whole universe now that Lucifer's Dark Allies are fighting against the Underworld army and Pit ready to face off Viridi? Will evil rise up to destroy everything? DLC Chapter 22: Viridi's Last Stand

Pit took off out of the Chaos Vortex from an eye-shaped portal, with the Sword of Death equipped, to find Viridi and kill her to steal her soul. "Here I come, Viridi! Prepare to meet your end!" he said as he flew out to the area where Viridi's temple was close by. Along the way, several enemies of the Forces of Nature appeared with anger fueled within their eyes. "It would appear that Viridi's forces are not taking kindly to us at all after what we've done, Icarus," Lucifer warned. "Take them all out with your weapon while I handle the Underworld army. Currently I'm using my pyrokinetic powers to defeat them, since I don't have a weapon right now. I haven't used them during my first battle against you, because I only use it for emergencies like this. Now destroy the Forces of Nature and kill Viridi in cold blood." "Will do, Lucifer!" Pit replied. "That goddess will be gone before we know it!" "That's the spirit, little brother," Lucifer laughed with sinister glee. "Let us avenge our family rights for what they have done to us!" Pit did as he was told and sliced and diced a lot of the enemies. Just then, he saw a projection of the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, herself. "Pit, you have to stop all of this!" she warned. "You're fighting for a tyrant who wants to destroy our world! He's worse than Hades because he may have done a lot of horrible things to the humans, but he wouldn't stoop so low in committing mass murder on all of them like this!" "You should know by now that your mother was the reason why we became monsters," Lucifer fought back as Pit continued to take down more of her forces. "None of us are heroes. We're all created to become monsters and destroy everything without even making a second thought. What would your mother and her sisters think about what YOU'VE done to the humans many times? If Gaia didn't kill my parents in the first place, none of this would've ever happened." "Leave my mom out of this, you backstabbing murderer!" Viridi shouted in anger. "You are responsible for her death and the Underworld army would stop you if this goes too far!" This made Lucifer laugh sinisterly in a smuggest, evil grin. "What's so funny?" Viridi asked, irritated. "Well, Viridi, the Underworld army are being dealt with as we speak," Lucifer replied. "They don't even stand a chance against the Dark Allies clan." "You're bluffing!" said Viridi. "You've got to be bluffing! Hades is too strong to be defeated by you!" "I can assure you that I am not," Lucifer continued. "The Underworld is dealing with my entire clan; the Space Pirates, the Aurum army, and the Chaos army." This made Viridi widen her eyes in shock. "Wait! You mean you sent all of them to attack?!" she exclaimed. "But I thought the Aurum was pushed away from the Earth by Pyrrhon!" "They were, but I brought them back here after I killed him," said Lucifer. "Now with the entire clan all together, we will destroy everything since you're all outmatched by our power!" "That's insane! Your abuse for power and universal destruction is going to kill us all!" Viridi yelled in anger. "I know," Lucifer replied. "Oh! I also brought someone with me who wants to say hello. Go on! Talk!" After he said that, Pit and Viridi heard a deep voice booming in fear. "Viridi?! Viridi! Are you there?!" he yelled. "That voice sounds very familiar..." said Pit. "Wait...! Is that you, Hades?!" Viridi gasped. "What's going on over there?!" "Listen to me! Do not let Pitty Pat reach you!" Hades warned. "I'm trying to fend off Lucifer's army, but... he's too strong!" "What do you mean?!" Viridi asked. "Lucifer defeated all of my commanders, Viridi!" Hades answered. "I'm being swarmed by him and his minions! I... I can't... hold on for... much... longer...!" "Hades?! Hades are you okay?!" Viridi cried in worry. "That's enough out of you, Underworld ruler!" said Lucifer and Viridi couldn't hear Hades any longer. "You've been a pain in my ass for far too long, Viridi. Once I get rid of the entire Underworld army, we're coming after you next! You should've known not to mess with our family rights!" "You can't continue your actions like this, Lucifer!" said Viridi. "You have to stop!" "Stop? Oh no no no," Lucifer replied. "Our ritual is almost complete. Once Icarus makes it to your temple, he will kill you and steal your soul. I haven't gotten Hades' soul just yet, but I have indeed gotten the souls of his commanders and Palutena's sister. That's right. Medusa was one of Palutena's sisters, including your mother, Gaia." "Wait what?!" Viridi gasped. "You can't be serious!" "Oh, I'm serious alright," said Lucifer. "But you won't live to tell the tale to the rest of the mortals. Icarus shall deal with you and then you will join your family soon enough!" "Fine! If nobody won't stop you guys, Nature will have to take it's course!" said Viridi. "Prepare yourself, Pit! It's time to face the consequences!" "I intend to, Viridi!" Pit replied as he continued to take down more enemies. Just then, he saw a temple coming to his view. "You're approaching Viridi's temple, Icarus," Lucifer pointed out. "Head in there and kill Viridi. But you must be warned that there are going to be more enemies you need to kill. I'm still busy dealing with the Underworld army, so I'll be there once I'm done with Hades and his forces." "That'll do, Lucifer. Time for the Goddess of Nature to face justice for our family rights!" said Pit as he flew into the temple. "We'll see about that, Pit!" said Viridi as her projection disappeared.

Pit soon arrived at Viridi's temple, where he saw a bunch of food and ate them. "I wonder how they got here?" he wondered. "I wanted to make sure that you're back in shape," said Viridi. "So that we can see if you truly are worthy in defeating me, Pit!" "I'd like to see you try, Viridi!" said Pit and he proceeded onwards through the temple. Along the way, he saw a lot of enemies. "Come out, my children! Destroy the intruder once and for all!" Viridi ordered. "How funny that you said something different back in the abandoned Reset Bomb Depot," said Lucifer. "Which reminds me. Do you happen to know where it is at the moment?" "It was burned down because of you!" Viridi scowled. "We couldn't bring it back after your brother killed all of my commanders!" "Oh, how the mighty have fallen, second Goddess of Nature," said Lucifer. "But that won't matter to us. After all, Icarus, there is no turning back. We must complete our master plan by killing Viridi and stealing her soul for the ritual." "I understand, Lucifer," Pit replied in affirmation. "That won't be a problem at all." He continued to take down more enemies that were standing in his way without any hesitation. Some of them dropped more food and he ate them to replenish his health. "I'm warning you, Pit. Turn back now and stop this madness!" said Viridi. "If you don't stop all of this right now, everyone around the world is going to die! Not just Nature and mankind, but that includes all of the gods along with the entire universe itself!" "Sorry, Viridi, but me and my brother have to do this for our family," Pit replied. "You're the only one left standing between us and our power. We need your soul for the ritual in order to fulfil our dreams in ruling the new world. If you don't bring yourself and comply, then I'll force you to hand over your soul!" He continued to take down more enemies along the way before reaching a dark room. "If you want to take my soul, you must prove your worth first," said Viridi and suddenly, the lights go up and standing in front of the angel were three gates. "It looks like you're going to face the ghosts of the past, Icarus," said Lucifer. "Just like what happened to your previous fights against the Underworld commanders before facing Medusa. I'm still unable to help you because I'm still taking care of the Underworld army. I'll be over there once I'm done with these fools." "Your brother's not lying about this," Viridi explained. "After you and your brother killed my commanders, me, along with the help of her children, created memory clones of them to slow you down." "I remembered that Medusa did the same thing when I was in the Underworld to defeat her!" Pit exclaimed. "How did YOU managed to do the same thing like she did?" "After the explosion of the Reset Bomb I dropped from our first meeting, I collected three human souls after they died," Viridi explained further. "They were floating around the abandoned Reset Bomb Forest before Lucifer burned it down. It's the only way to create the memory clones." "Well, is that coming from the Goddess of Nature?!" said Lucifer. "That is the most shameful thing you did to the human mortals. Your soul might be full of sin and your mother and aunts should be ashamed of you because of that!" Viridi, however, remained silent after hearing him say that. "Well, if you're not going to say anything, then Icarus will have to permanently silence you once he's finished dealing with the memory clones," said Lucifer. "Of course I will!" said Pit as he entered the first gate.

As soon as the angel exited the gate, he entered a familiar forest. But, from the looks of it, it seemed to be a memory fragment. "This looks like the Reset Bomb Forest where I faced Cragalanche," he said. "Yes, and your same opponent stands before you!" said Viridi and a memory form of Cragalanche appeared right in front of him. "Heh. This is going to be exactly as before!" Pit boasted and the two warriors got into their stances to begin the fight. The fight was basically the same as last time, except Memory Cragalanche is weaker than his original counterpart. "Just make sure you don't mess up, Icarus," said Lucifer. "This may be Cragalanche's memory, but he's still a tough rock to crumble. I expect you to find the weak point and take him down by any means necessary." "That won't be a problem at all, Lucifer," said Pit as he continued his fight with Memory Cragalanche. The memory continued swinging his giant fists to give heavy damage on Pit, but the angel quickly avoided them and counterattacked with his weapon. During all of this, Viridi was watching it unfold with a depressing look on her face. "I would be using Cragalanche's voice, but it's not the same without him," she said. "It's all because you both killed him! What's worse is that he was with my mom before. That was until you killed her, Lucifer!" "It was for a reason, Viridi!" the Devil replied. "You of all people should know that by now," said Pit as he continued his fight with Memory Cragalanche. After dealing more damage to the weak point, Memory Cragalanche was defeated.

After defeating the first memory, Pit returned back to the starting point and noticed the first gate tightly sealed. "Not bad in defeating the first memory," said Lucifer. "But this is only the beginning." "Your brother's right," said Viridi. "I hope you're ready to face off the next memory, because I assure you that he's ready for some payback for what you did!" "Don't get your hopes up, Viridi!" said Pit as he ate some food to replenish his health after that last fight. He then entered the second gate to begin the next battle.

After exiting the gate, Pit entered a familiar arena he recognized quickly. Which was also a memory fragment. "This looks like the Lunar Sanctum where I fought Arlon," he said. "Correct. And now you must face him once again!" said Viridi and as on queue, a memory form of Arlon appeared right in front of the angel. "This is going to be so much fun!" said Pit as the two of them got into their stances to begin the fight. It was similar to the previous fight back at the abandoned Lunar Sanctum, but Memory Arlon is weaker that his original counterpart. "You know the drill, Icarus," said Lucifer. "Don't hesitate the destroy him just like last time." "As you wish, my brother," Pit replied while dealing damage to Memory Arlon with his sword. The memory then made the entire arena completely dark, thus making Pit unable to see him. "Grr! This memory is playing hard to get!" the angel groaned. "No worries. Just make sure to focus on his attacks in order to see him," said Lucifer and Pit did as he was told when he saw and then avoided the attacks Memory Arlon unleashed. Pit counterattacked by slashing at Memory Arlon with his sword. "Arlon served my mother and took care of me when I was a little baby goddess," said Viridi in anger. "But then, you killed him in cold blood! When I heard about what happened to him, I was devastated! You took away everyone I knew and loved when I was born!" "That's ironic, because YOUR mother killed our parents, Viridi!" Pit yelled back. "You don't deserve to live after what happened to me and my brother! You'll be seeing your mother and foolish friends once I kill you!" He continued the fight until, after dealing a lot of damage, Memory Arlon was defeated.

After defeating the second memory, Pit returned back to the starting point once again and noticed the second gate tightly sealed. "That makes two memories down," said Lucifer. "You only have one left before we begin the permanent demise of the Goddess of Nature." "Don't think I'm going to let you reach me that easily, Pit!" said Viridi. "The last one is surely going to put an end to your pathetic life! Even if you defeated it, I will still prevail in defeating you monsters!" "We'll see about that, Viridi!" said Pit as he ate some food to replenish his health after that last fight. He then entered the third and final gate to begin the last battle.

Once Pit exited the gate, he entered a familiar arena which was also yet another memory fragment. "The Thunder Cloud Temple arena," he said. "Guess this means I'm about to have a rematch with Phosphora." "Don't think the memory is going easy on you just like last time, Icarus," Lucifer warned. "Luckily, it's inferior to the original, so she's not going to have her so called 'Storm Form.'" "Lucifer is not wrong, Pit," said Viridi. "In fact, here comes the Lightning Nymph herself!" As soon as she said that, Memory Phosphora appeared right in front of the angel. The two warriors got into their battle stances to begin the fight. Memory Phosphora started it off by zipping in a zig-zag pattern to distract Pit before sending out lightning bolts from her hands behind him. Only for the angel to quickly notice them before jumping out of the line of fire. He then counterattacked with a charged shot before doing a melee combo. "My my. You have improved your battle skills quickly than I anticipated, brother," said Lucifer, impressed. "You'll be part of the Dark Allies soon enough once we destroy this pathetic universe!" "This coming from the murderer of Phosphora's innocent family?!" Viridi yelled, irritated. "Now what makes you say that?" Lucifer asked. "You and your brother murdered the family of Thunder Gods!" Viridi explained in fury. "They were innocent and never did anything wrong before you took their lives away!" "You should know that every single deity and mortal must be eliminated in order for the new world we wish to rule to be created," said Lucifer. "Ever since I killed your mother, Gaia, and Icarus killed all of your commanders, we felt a strong sense of murder. In order for the ritual to be fulfilled, and the new world to be created, we must eliminate all living beings from this universe. After everyone is gone, this universe will be destroyed, and then, we will bring more chaos and destruction to other worlds!" "You are insane, psychotic monsters!" Viridi yelled out. "In fact, you manipulated your own brother for doing this, Lucifer!" "Hey! Don't you DARE talk to my brother like that!" Pit countered. "This is for our family and you have no right to shame our family rights." To prove his point, he continued with the battler against Memory Phosphora until she was defeated.

After defeating all three memories, Pit wounded up back to where he started. "That's all memories defeated," Lucifer pointed out. "Now it is time to find Viridi and end her once and for all!" Pit nodded and ate the food that was giving to him to replenish his health. After that, a gate opened of and Pit went through it. There, he found himself at a giant hallway of the temple. "You have proved your worth in defeating all of my commander's memories," Viridi announced. "But you should know that in order for you to defeat me, you must get past my children first! Forces of Nature, destroy the intruder by any means necessary!" As on queue, more Forces of Nature troops appeared to attack the angel. "Hah! Consider this challenge accepted!" said Pit as he charged at the enemies and dealt a melee combo at each and every one of them. But the more he defeated, the more come out of their spots to try and stop him. "You can't defeat them all, Pit!" Viridi boasted. "The Forces of Nature will avenge all of mankind your ruthlessly murdered and spilled their blood! Your actions for mass murder will be drawn here!" "Hah! Don't get your hopes up, Viridi!" Pit laughed. "Let me show you what happens when you dare mess with me and my brother!" To prove his point, his blue eyes suddenly turned red and did a quick dash straight towards the Forces of Nature. Suddenly, he sliced and diced them all with his Sword of Death. He continued his mass murder throughout the remaining forces before moving forward. "W-What kind of attack was that?!" Viridi gasped in horror. "Hahahaha! Pit's insanity is growing a whole lot more!" Lucifer laughed, sinisterly. "His powers have grown even stronger! It won't be long before his true powers will be awaken to destroy all of you!" "Not if we have anything to say about it, monsters!" said Viridi as she sent out more of her troops to slow Pit down. But, they were unfortunately no match for the angel as he took all of them down. Later on, he entered an empty room. "So, you're almost there in defeating me, huh?" said Viridi. "Then let's see how you handle THIS!" Suddenly, Pit was swarmed by a lot of enemies around him. "This must be their last line of defense before we take out the Second Goddess of Nature, Icarus," Lucifer warned. "Once you kill her, after talking down all of the enemies, you must take her soul for the ritual and unleash powerful demons to destroy the universe." "Not a problem!" said Pit as he proceeded to take down the enemies. None of them got out of there alive since Pit's insanity is growing a whole lot more. "This madness has to stop, Lucifer!" Viridi shouted at the Devil. "Cease all of this immediately or there will be consequences!" "I'm afraid that isn't going to happen, Viridi," Lucifer responded. "We've already collected many souls of mortals and deities. You are the only one left. You must prepare herself to meet your maker!" After a while, Pit took down all of Viridi's forces, and none of them were left alive. They were all gone. "Well done, Icarus. It's time to settle the last score!" said Lucifer. "Of course, my brother," Pit responded as he drank a Drink of the Gods, handed by Lucifer, and entered the final gate to finish this once and for all.

But once Pit entered inside, everything seemed to be dark. He looked around to find anything or anyone, but there was still nothing. "Come on, Viridi! Stop hiding and reveal yourself at once!" he ordered. "As you wish..." Viridi responded and suddenly, the darkness began to fade away. What later revealed was a giant root-like arena. In the middle of it, the angel found the Goddess of Nature herself, with her back facing against her foe. She only stood there without making a sound, except for a little light breathing. "Alright, Viridi. This is it. I'm here to kill you for what you did to me!" said Pit. "If you don't want to fight me, I suggest you come with me quietly. Because if you don't, there will be consequences." This made Viridi finally turn around to face the angel. Her bright hazel eyes were fueled with anger. "Do you have any idea what you are doing?!" she yelled. "You're working with a monster who killed my mother and my former commanders! We were like a whole family together after my mother was killed by your brother! That WAS until you murdered them in cold blood ruthlessly! Innocent human beings are being killed by you, Lucifer, and the so-called 'Dark Allies' clan! You never know when to stop and figure out what is happening, huh?!" Pit's brows lowered in response, but hasn't spoke a word yet. "Are you listening to me?" Viridi continued. "Haven't you understood the problem here?! If you don't stop your mass murder across the entire universe, everyone is going to die! What are you even going to do after that?!" Finally, Pit walked up to the Goddess of Nature with red, menacing eyes. "You really want to know that badly, huh?" he asked. "We're not going to stop our destruction until everything is gone! You cannot do anything without your commanders, Viridi! I will destroy you!" "The Underworld army might be dealing with Lucifer's forces, but I will do whatever it takes to stop you right here and now, Pit!" said Viridi. "For the sake of the humans, gods, and the entire universe, I will defeat you once and for all, and end this entire madness! Prepare to face the consequences, Pit!" This made the angel snicker sinisterly as his eyes glowed red. "You'll just die trying like your mother, Viridi," he chuckled. "She was more pathetic than the likes of you!" This made Viridi's eyes widen in shock, anger, and sadness. She snapped and unleashed her powerful hidden form! Her hazel eyes glowed brightly, and her dress glowed red and purple. "YOU DARE INSULT ME AND MY ENTIRE FAMILY?!" she yelled. "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU! HURRICANE FORM... ACTIVATE!" Suddenly, a giant whirl windstorm appeared around her like a tornado. She rose upwards to fight against the angel in their final battle to see who will let the universe live or die. "I'd like to see you try, Viridi!" Pit boasted as he readied himself. "Looks like you could use some help," said a new voice and Pit turned around to see his brother standing next to him. "Lucifer?" he gasped. "My army is still dealing with our enemies, so I'll be fighting with you to collect the final soul for the ritual," Lucifer explained. "You can keep your weapon. I'll use my Pyrokinesis powers to aid you. However, I only use them in case of emergencies, and now this is the best time to use them." He then activated his powers and both brothers got into their stances to begin the final fight.

"YOU MONSTERS ARE GOING TO PAY FOR KILLING ALL OF THE INNOCENTS!" Viridi yelled. "TIME TO FOR YOU TO FACE JUSTICE!" She started the final battle by using her giant whirlwind tornado to push back the brothers from attacking her. Pit began to charge at Viridi to use a melee attack, but Viridi instead blocked the combo with her vines she summoned and they snaked around him. Then, they threw him away from the Goddess of Nature. He crashed right into a wall and landed with a hard THUNK! "Ow..." he groaned. "I will avenge you, brother!" Lucifer shouted and used his Pyrokinesis to fire multiple fiery shots at Viridi, only for her whirlwind to absorb them. "What?!" he gasped. "NOW TAKE THIS!" Viridi yelled and summoned her forces to attack the Devil. "COME OUT FROM YOUR POSITIONS, MY CHILDREN, AND ATTACK THE MONSTER TO AVENGE OUR FAMILY!" However, since Viridi was in her Hurricane Form, the Forces of Nature glowed brightly in anger for their leader. They then attacked Lucifer who was later outmatched by their power. Suddenly, a big blast from a Pew Pew came straight towards him before pushing him to the same wall where Pit was and then landing right next to him. "Shit...!" he groaned. "She is much stronger than we anticipated. Heh. That's to be expected from the Secondary Goddess of Nature. We seem to be underestimating her, Icarus." "Grr... No shit, Lucifer," Pit replied. "Let us defeat this little rascal together with our powers!" Lucifer nodded as the two brothers charged at Viridi again. But the goddess, once again, pushed the both of the back. However, they did the same thing again and again and, before Viridi knew it, the whirlwind completely disappeared. "NO!" she cried as she collapsed to the ground on her feet. "Now's our chance, brother!" Lucifer ordered. "ATTACK!" Suddenly, Pit and Lucifer used melee combos at Viridi to deal lots of damage, but Viridi still has a little struggle left to fight back against the angel brothers. "YOUR REIGN OF TERROR AND MASS MURDER IS CAUSING THE CELESTIAL BALANCE TO TEAR ITSELF APART!" she yelled. "FOR THAT, THE FINAL RESISTANCE SHALL ELIMINATE THE BOTHERSOME LOT OF YOU! WE WILL AVENGE ALL THE BLOOD YOU SPILLED! WE WILL PREVAIL! WE WILL WIN!" Suddenly, she summoned more vines at the brothers to wrap them around with pointy thorns. First, they struck at the brothers with full force, causing them to bleed. Then, they pushed them down to the ground to hold them in place before letting them go to struggle. "Grr! Not bad, Viridi, but we're just getting started!" Lucifer boasted and activated the Effect Recovery power to get rid of the ailment from the both of them. "You'll pay for that!" Pit yelled and he and Lucifer charged at Viridi again, but suddenly, Viridi activated her whirlwind again. "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!" she yelled. "LET ME SHOW YOU THE REAL POWER OF NATURE ITSELF!" She then summoned more vines with thorns, only this time, they bind around the angel brothers around their bodies. "ARGH!" Pit and Lucifer yelled in pain as they were inflicted with Lethal Bleed. "WANT TO CONTINUE FIGHTING? SORRY, BOYS. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE ALL WRAPPED UP AT THE MOMENT!" Viridi scoffed. "Tch. Not on our watch, bitch!" said Lucifer and suddenly, his body started to glow red with flames. His Pyrokinetic powers came out of his hands and burned the vines down. This also caused Viridi to feel a heating pain within her body. "OW!" she cried. "I FEEL LIKE I'M ON FIRE!" "Icarus! Cut the vines with that sword!" Lucifer ordered. "If we can give Viridi more pain, this can give us our chance to get rid of that whirlwind again!" Pit nodded and sliced the vines out with his weapon. This caused Viridi more pain within her body. "OW! ACK! ARGH!" she cried in agony from each swing and slice from Pit's Sword of Death. The pain was too much for her to bear and the whirlwind disappeared again. Lucifer got rid of the Lethal Bleed ailment by using the Effect Recover power again. As Viridi slowly got back up, she looked at the brothers with anger in her eyes. "YOU! YOU'RE CAUSING SO MUCH DESTRUCTION TO US ALL ACROSS THE UNIVERSE!" she yelled. "I WILL NOT LET YOUR MASS MURDER CONTINUE ANY LONGER!" "And what's that supposed to mean?" Lucifer asked her. Viridi turned her head to face Pit. "PIT! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME!" she warned. "IF YOU'RE STILL THERE, YOU HAVE TO GET AWAY FROM THAT MONSTER! YOU CAN CHANGE! BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, I'LL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO KILL YOU! I'M SORRY, PIT. BUT IT'S THE ONLY WAY." Pit only stared at Viridi with a cold menace within is red, sinister eyes. "There's nothing you can do to stop us, Viridi," he replied. "My brother gave me this path to avenge our parents since your mother was the one responsible for killing them. Including us! Our master plan is almost complete, and you'll never stand in our way, you persistent, nature loving freak!" With that, the brothers held their hands together, brought out their strongest attacks, and charged at Viridi again to deliver the finishing blow. Viridi tried with all her might to stop the both of them, sending out her forces, her blockades, everything she could to prevent it from happening, but things were going south. No matter how many times she kept struggling to fend them off, they were too strong. Eventually, the angel brothers plowed through her defenses and sliced right through Viridi's stomach, ending the final battle with a brutal stab! "NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Viridi yelled her last breath in defeat.

Viridi lied on the ground, barely breathing, but the big wound on her stomach didn't help much as she began to cough out blood softly. "*cough* W-Why...? Why a-are you... *cough* d-doing this to us...?" she coughed. "This is what happens when you dare to defy the great Dark Allies," said Lucifer. "You are just like all the others. Pathetic little bugs who just want to be squashed by our sheer power." Pit slowly walked up to the dying Goddess of Nature and raised up his Sword of Death. This made Viridi widen her eyes in fear. "P-Please! Don't do this!" she gasped. "Y-You *cough* don't know w-what you're even *cough* d-doing...!" Pit only stared coldly at Viridi with menacing red eyes. But before he could give her the fatal stab, Lucifer stopped him by putting his hand up to his brother. "No, Icarus. We're not going to kill her just yet," he said. "We must do something to her first." "And what do you mean by that, Lucifer?" Pit asked. "We must break her. Torture her; show her the consequences of her actions," Lucifer replied. Viridi looked at the angel brothers with anger fueled in her hazel eyes. "What are you even doing?!" she yelled. "You've ruined my entire life! *cough* Ruined MANY lives, no less! I was only trying to help Pit change her mind in order to *cough* defeat that monstrous Devil. Especially since he made you abuse me before heading out to kill Palutena. Innocent people are dying because of you! *cough* I just want to make our lives better for everyone, but you're instead taking them away from us!" This made Lucifer growl as his eyes turned black with blood pouring out of his sockets and grabbed Viridi's neck, choking her lightly before slamming her to a nearby wall. "There is nothing you can even do to stop us from destroying everything," he said with a menacing tone. "You cannot reverse the whole situation, Viridi. No use resisting our power. You're going to watch what you have done to the humans and other living breathing Nature mortals around the universe. Whether you want to or not." With a fiery aura hovering around them, Lucifer teleported himself, Pit, and Viridi to the Overworld to watch something very very wrong.

Once the three deities arrived at their destination, they saw something horrible. They were in the middle of a town, but the buildings were destroyed, the wildlife covered in flames, and human corpses lying on the ground after being killed by Lucifer's minions. Most of them were being mauled to death by the Shadow Pit clones. "Wh-What happened here?" Viridi stuttered. "This is what you did to the humans after you wished to fully exterminate them," said Lucifer. "After fully eviscerating the Underworld army, nothing is left to stand in our way from completing our master plan. Not even the other gods can do anything to stop us now!" "Y-You've got to be *cough* bluffing!" Viridi coughed in disbelief. "There's n-no way you can *cough* d-destroy everything l-like *cough* this!" "Oh really? Well, how about we show you what YOU did to the humans ever since you dropped the Reset Bomb three years ago?" said Lucifer as he and Pit dragged Viridi across the town. There, they found a little boy crying in front of two gravestones. "Mommy! Daddy! Why did you have to leave me?!" he cried. "That giant explosion killed you both! You saved me, but now I'm left alone! I'm sorry!" He continued to sob in tears while the angel brothers smiled sinisterly with evil red eyes and Viridi gasped in horror. Tears started to fall out of her eyes. "W-What have I done?!" she sobbed. "This little boy lost his parents after the explosion YOU created, Viridi," said Lucifer. "The Reset Bomb killed many different human mortals, and those in their resting places were two of them. It was your fault for their deaths, just like your mother killed ours!" Hearing that made Viridi cry even harder. She couldn't believe that pain she both suffered and caused on others. "P-Please leave me alone!" she cried. "I-I don't want to see any more of this!" "Too bad. We're not done just yet," said Lucifer. "We're about to show you something else. It will be the best show for us to watch." He then teleported himself, Pit, and Viridi to another part of the Overworld.
They soon arrived at a forest. But what was left of it were burnt, crimson trees. Leafless and withered, with no other animals or plants around it. "W-What happened here?" Viridi gasped in horror. "Well, Viridi, this was the same forest you thought the humans burnt down," Lucifer explained. "You were so stupid to think that those mortals would stoop so low to do that. It wasn't the humans that burnt it down. It was me...!" This made Viridi's eyes widen in shock. She couldn't believe the cold truth revealed by the angel brothers. "No! This isn't real! You HAVE to be lying!" she cried. "On the contrary of belief, I am not," Lucifer responded. "You should've thought twice before taking the blame on others for no reason." By that point, Viridi couldn't hold in her sadness anymore and let out all of her tears. Everything was gone because of those monsters. There was nothing she could do to prevent this from happening in the first place. "This is all my fault!" she sobbed. "I lost everything because of you! I don't want to say any of this! All I ever wanted was a world where everyone is happy. But now it's all gone! I wish I should've done something to help them. Especially you, Pit..."

Pit silently moved his head to face the Goddess of Nature. His stare was still scary with his menacing red eyes. "But...Viridi..." he began. "You HAVE done something to help us out. You killed many innocent lives. Punished humans for disrupting nature. Hmhmhmhm... It was all part of our master plan." This made Viridi turn her head to face the corrupted angel in confusion. "Wait a minute... 'Master plan?'" she wondered. "What are you talking about, Pit? Why is all of this part of this 'master plan?'" Pit only responded by laughing sinisterly, "Hehehehehehehehe..." This made Viridi make a scared face, clearly terrified of Pit's current status. "Pit...I don't like this..." she trembled. That was when Lucifer walked right next to his brother. "Weak. She's weak," he told him about Viridi. "I suggest you make sure that she gets what she deserves because of what she did to us." Pit smiled and nodded evilly before turning his head back to the Goddess of Nature. "Viridi.~ I've got something to tell you,~" he sinisterly sang out. "Tell her the truth. BREAK HER TO TEARS..." said Lucifer and Pit decided to ask Viridi a question to do so. "Do you remember two humans that died during the First War of Chaos?" he began. "Back when the Reset Bombs were dropped 38 years ago." Viridi nodded a little bit. "I mean, yeah. Of course I do," she said. "But there were also more humans back then during that war. I remembered that Gaia, my mother, was responsible for that before her death." However, after she responded the question, Pit furiously looked at her as his red eyes glowed brighter. "They were my parents, Viridi!" he growled. "Your mother killed them!" Viridi was taken aback from the angel's anger persona. She never saw him like that before. "W-What?!" she stuttered. "Me and my brother were the the humans we've been mourning their deaths from after we buried their graves!" Pit continued. "Do you have ANY idea what we've been through?! Your mother did this to us, and now look where you had to show for it!" "B-But, Pit...I had no idea about that! I-" Viridi tried to fight back, weakly, but to no avail as Pit continued to stare at her coldly before continuing. "You and your mother killed everyone I have ever cared about," he stated. "My family... My goddess, Lady Palutena... Even myself..." A single tear escaped from his left eye out of pure sadness and fury. But then, his face turned into a sinister grin of pure evil. "Your mother, Gaia, has been dealt with 38 years ago thanks to my brother. Hehehehe... She isn't coming back! Hahahahaha! You're the last loose end we need to tie up! Hehehehehehahahahahahaha!" His sinister laugh brought chills down to Viridi's spine as his eyes glowed even brighter like red spotlights. The Goddess of Nature looked horrified to see him like that. "Pit... I..." she started before Lucifer interrupted her. "Icarus, it's time..." he said. Pit nodded at him before looking back at Viridi. "It's time for you to pay a blood price and join your mother and allies...VIRIDI!" he growled.

The evil angel brothers grabbed Viridi's arms and dragged her away from the burning forest. They soon arrived in the middle of the town again, but Pit and Lucifer threw Viridi right onto a tree. With the Goddess of Nature fully under their grasp, she had no escape to get away from them. All she could do was to watch them in horror. "P-Pit... *cough* Please... Don't hurt...me..." she coughed, weakly. "Don't do this... Y-You can change...!" It was no use as Pit coldly stared at her with his evil, menacing red eyes, and rose up his Sword of Death with an evil grin. While Lucifer took out his Viper Blade to assist his brother with the execution. "You did this to me, Viridi, and now...YOU MUST DIE!" Suddenly, the brothers stabbed the goddess with their weapons with full force, giving her a giant wound on her stomach. "AAAAHHHH!" she cried in pain as she began to bleed. Tears of fear and pain fell out of her eye sockets. To make things worse, Lucifer pulled out another weapon; the Wolf Claws. "Now, you are going to suffer greatly like all the others. Except...EVEN BETTER...!" His eyes turned black with blood pouring out of his sockets. Suddenly, he slashed at Viridi's arms to slice them off from her body. Then, he did to same to her legs until they were off as well. Viridi screamed in pain as her tears began to change into blood. Her eyes reddened in agony as she watched herself become executed by the evil brothers. The torture was too much as she began to die from shock. All she could see, in her final breath and vision, was Pit walking up to the goddess with his weapon in his right hand and looking at her with an evil grin. He then rose up his weapon before telling the goddess in an evil voice, "Now DIE, Second Goddess of HELLISH NATURE!" before giving Viridi the final execution attack by slitting Viridi's throat. Viridi slowly looked up at her killers with fear and pain before finally succumbing to the wound... and died... Her body went limp and disappeared with her soul coming out of it. "Take the soul, Icarus. It's the last one we need to complete our ritual," Lucifer ordered and Pit nodded by taking the soul into his hands. Lucifer then opened up a portal and the two of them stepped inside to head into the Void. However, after they left, Nature itself began to wither and rot after Viridi's death. The universe was starting to weaken and tear itself apart.

Pit and Lucifer soon arrived in the Void next to the ritual circle. Pit noticed something different in it. There are more souls than the last time they were there. "Why are there more souls in the circle, Lucifer?" he asked his brother. "Well, Icarus. As you can see, me and my Dark Allies clan defeated the Underworld army," Lucifer explained. "And in the process, the Chaos Kin took the souls of Hades and his top commanders that were remaining in the Underworld. That foolish immortal thought he could outsmart us, but the irony of it all is that they all died by our hands. Now that we have all the souls we have the souls for the ritual, it is time to begin the final step of our master plan! You know what to do, brother." Pit nodded and placed Viridi's soul in the final spot of the ritual circle. Suddenly, once all the souls are in their place, the circle began to glow. "Excellent. We are now ready to perform the ritual!" Lucifer exclaimed with sinister glee. "Allow me to handle this. Once we open the portal, the demons from Abyss will rise from their cursed prison and the universe will be ours to destroy!" He walked up the the glowing ritual circle and pulled out his satanic ritual book again. With a wave of his hand, and a snap of his fingers, the candles appeared around the circle again. "Remember what you did last time, Icarus," Lucifer told his brother. "Light up the candles so we can begin." Pit nodded and equipped the Burning Palm to start. He then walked up to a candle and lit it up with his weapon. Once he did that, he continued with rest of them. After that, all the candles were lit up to start the ritual. "All done, Lucifer," he announced. "Great work, Icarus," Lucifer applauded. "Now it's time to begin the ritual and final step of our master plan. This universe has been sick from the very beginning, so we are going to change what will be right for our family!"

With a wave of his hand, the candles' flames began to flicker and the ritual circle glowed brighter. Pit watched in amazement to see it all happen again. The final step of their master was happening. Then Lucifer started his chant again to perform the ritual. "Power of the creator!" Lightning bolts crashed around the circle as the candles' flames flicker while their wax began to melt. "Power of the destructor!" More lightning bolts crashed down as the candles' flames grew bigger while flickering and their wax melted even more. "Release the demons from Abyss to destroy the universe!" Suddenly, the souls began to glow bright red and a giant beam came out of the circle and shot through a portal from above. The souls began to disintegrate painfully as they scream in agony. "Yes! YES! It's finally happening! HAHAHAHA!" Lucifer laughed, sinisterly. "Our master plan is going to be complete! And now, my demonic minions! Come out from your cursed prison and into the Overworld! The time for damnation has come! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" As on queue, the angel brothers heard demonic roars coming from the beam. Multiple demons from the darkness have finally came out of their prison and went straight to the Overworld. One of them, that appeared to look like a archdemon ruler of their group, appeared in front of Lucifer. "You did exactly as you promised us many years ago," they said. "We are finally free from our damn prison after being exiled by Hades. Thanks to you, it's time to reign supreme around this foul world you wish to destroy. You have proven yourself and are officially ranked as the Devil and champion overlord of the Dark Abyss. We will follow your orders, boss." They then disappeared and so did the giant beam. The candles completely melted along with the souls vanquished from within.

"So... It is done..." said Lucifer. "The ritual was a complete success and our long-time enemies are finally gone. Good riddance. Viridi was always a foolish little brat. Easy to manipulate... To think she stood a chance against the both of us and our ultimate power. She only had her allies to protect her after her mother died. All we needed to do was make her suffer. She died like she lived... A COWARD...!" He turned to face Pit. "But you, my brother. I didn't know you would follow my plans after realizing the truth about our family," he continued. "I left you to stay put and keep you safe from the dangers ahead, 38 years ago. I could've brought you with me, but I chose not to. I couldn't bear to lose the last of our family after our parents died. Not only that, but you found your own way to leave me behind. I thought you were going to do the same again by refusing my offer. But I was surprised to see that you instead wanted to know more about us, after noticing that you were only being used." He turned to look away from his brother. "You proved your usefulness to me superbly," he continued further. "And look at yourself now. You've blossomed. You've changed. You are now becoming the monster I was turned into all those years ago. Viridi was lonely, deep down. She fancied herself my puppet. In a way, she didn't recognize me as her mother's killer. Because she couldn't even determine who killed Gaia after growing up to feel hatred against those humans. Of course, her target among the humans only made matters worse for her. She was a lacky. Someone I knew how to manipulate. My corrupted puppet." He turned to face Pit again. "But, you on the other hand? You have a strong sense of justice, knowing what is for our family rights," he continued even further. "You have no conscience anymore. No alternate mind...pushing you back... You... With yourself following my orders till the very end... You shall now become a member of the Dark Allies clan. My partner. My secondary officer in command. As a good brother would be." He held the evil light angel's hands into his own. "It is time. Come with me, Icarus. Let us now go fourth and show the universe the destruction and eternal damnation that our army will BRING...!" he concluded with his eyes turned black and bloody as they exited the Void via teleportation.

The brothers arrived in the Overworld where they witnessed the destruction of the universe happening. The demons released from their prison began to help out Lucifer's Dark Allies clan in their bloodlust murder. Many humans were being killed by them as their corpses lay on the ground being devoured by the monsters, while most of them hide in shelters, hoping to hide away from the imminent danger. But it was no use as they broke into them and killed them ruthlessly. Nature itself was being burned and killed by a giant wildfire. Animals were mauled and torn apart by Lucifer's demonic army, plants withered and rot within the crispy, burnt grass fields, and trees began to tumble down after losing so much life. Buildings from a lot of towns were destroyed and broken everywhere."It's all over for this universe," said Lucifer. "I'll go on ahead to see if there are more humans left for us to destroy." He left Pit alone for a while, but something strange is happening to the little angel. Instead of following his brother, he just stood in place with his head down. Just then, he started to laugh. "Hehehehehe..." But his laugh wasn't a normal laugh. It was a sinister, scary laugh as he held his hands in his face. "Hahahahahahaha..." The laugh started to go deeper and darker when his hands started to cover themselves in blood... Something terrible was happening to the light angel. "HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...HA...HA...HA...HA...!" As soon as he finished laughing, he lifted his head up quickly to reveal something horrifying. His eyes turned black with blood pouring out of his sockets, just like his older brother. He wasn't Pit anymore. He was now known as...Evil Pit. "This is...MY UPRISING!" he growled.
Wow... That was such a terrifying experience, despite me being the creator of this story. I will be honest, looking back at this story of the Evil Route, I am quite shocked and disturbed myself. Hehe... Speaking of which, the ending part of the chapter wasn't actually my idea. I got that reference inspired by a horror story called Pit EXE, which is a Kid Icarus horror story that has a mix to the Sonic EXE creepypasta by Pandora's Labyrinth of Memes. It's quite a good horror story in my opinion, almost as good as my own. Go check it out if you want to. However, the story is still not yet over.
