Zuko just wanted to help the others save the next Avatar. Filling the void in Katara's heart was never part of the plan, but Aang being killed by the Phoenix King hadn't been part of the plan either.

Zuko knows three things for certain; Azula always lies. Father is cruel. Mother had loved me before she disappeared. Zuko has to be the perfect prince. He must always preform at least almost as good as his prodigy sister. The prince is perfect, he needs people to say, all while he battles a constant battle with himself regarding what is morally right.

It's a busy day in the emergency department for Dr Katara, but the day takes a sudden turn for the worse when the code red alarm rings. Someone must've been in a horrific accident. When Katara joins the crowd of doctors huddling around a patient bed, the last person she expected it to be is her husband that she hasn't seen in 5 years, Aang. Bitter and conflicted feelings arise.

Destiny is a funny thing. A split-second decision results in Zuko being injured during the escape from Pohuai Stronghold. Aang is determined to turn an enemy into a friend and, despite their doubts, Sokka and Katara find themselves also starting to better understand their erstwhile pursuer. For Katara and Zuko, this new understanding could even lead to something more.

With the world teetering on the edge of the Eschaton, the Avatar Spirit has reincarnated into the last person imaginable: Princess Azula of the Fire Nation. With the return of Sozin's Comet fast approaching and the thread of prophecy severed, the proud child of the Fire Nation may be last hope of a world doomed by her Great-Grandfather's ambitions.
