From here, you will get to experience how he first met Palutena and how the loss of his parents drove him to his bloodlust persona. You already know the disclaimer, so sit back and enjoy!

Lucifer's POV
You may be wondering who I am and what I am doing here in this temple. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lucifer, the Captain of Palutena's Guard. You may be asking yourself, "How did I get here in this temple in the first place and what is the reason?" Well, from what you can tell, there are currently explosions happening from outside in the sky. This is the War of Chaos. A war between three different armies; Palutena's Army, the Underworld Army, and the Forces of Nature. All three of these armies are led by the Three Goddess Sisters. Who are they you might ask? The armies' leaders are Palutena, the Goddess of Light, Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness and Queen of the Underworld, and lastly, but my most irritating target to murder, Gaia, the Goddess of Nature. Why did I say that to the last goddess, you might ask? Well...hmhmhmhm...allow me to tell you the story. Mostly because it is the reason why I'm with Palutena right now.

10 years ago, the Three Goddess Sisters were having a party to celebrate the coming of a new baby goddess. Gaia named her daughter, Viridi. She said that she will be the one to take her place after her death. The other two goddesses wished her daughter to bring peace to the Earth and fight against monsters to protect the ones she loves. Gaia and her two commanders of her forces, Cragalanche and Arlon the Serene, who is her personal butler, were very happy and grateful to accept their wishes. However, the party was cut short when an invasion attacked. This was the cause of the Underworld army led by Hades, the Lord of the Underworld and their true leader. He came to the party for Medusa because he needed a loyal puppet to command his army against his own will. Because of that, he first captured and then corrupted her to become her queen and puppet for the Underworld Army. But while the others were evacuated from the invasion, Gaia saw something worse for her to bear. She saw humans destroy Nature itself by either cutting down trees or hunting down animals for survival. And because of Palutena's devotion to protect humanity, she left her sister in disgust all alone with her only angels and centurions to protect away from her own sisters.
10 years later, the War of Chaos began, with all three sisters leading their armies on a full-scale attack; Palutena leading her own army to stop both Medusa and Gaia from disrupting the so-called celestial balance, Medusa, corrupted by Hades, to capture humans to become their slaves and later execute them for being useless before taking their souls to make their army grow bigger and bigger, and Gaia eliminating all of humanity for disrupting Nature in order for Earth to become fully green and without mankind harming it. The latter, however, not only did her tasks in eliminating most of the humans, but also did something I couldn't bear to even think to myself for the rest of my life! And boy are you going to see me feel enraged when I tell you this.
During the war, I had a family when I was nothing but a human boy. I spent the rest of my days hanging out with my mother and father. I even get to play a few games and had lots of fun with my little brother, Icarus. We had a great time together as one big happy family. Just as I always wanted it to be. But...that didn't last very long because of that damn cursed Goddess of Nature, and everything took a turn for the worst. We suddenly heard explosions from outside and we went out of our house to investigate.
Once we got out of our house, we saw something horrifying. Gaia sent out powerful weapons known as Reset Bombs all across the Earth, and they eliminated all the other humans around us. The point about those weapons is that they create giant Reset Bomb Forests that brings Earth to their quote on quote "nature state." They don't affect the wildlife or natural inhabitants, as the name implies. Now you might be wondering why I couldn't get this past away from me. Because one of the Reset Bombs was heading straight towards our house. "Lucifer, you have to get out of here!" my mother told me. "This place isn't safe for you and your brother to be here anymore!" "Honey's right, son! Save yourselves and move on without us!" my father agreed. I couldn't say anything except nod and quickly took Icarus away from the falling bomb. I was about to tell my parents to run as well, but they only looked at me with sad smiles and tears falling from their eyes. As soon as I instantly regretted my decision, the bomb landed onto my parents and killed them right in front of our eyes. The shockwave caused us to be blown away from our house and we both crashed right onto a wall of an abandoned shop. That caused the both of us to be knocked out cold.
Icarus and I started to slowly wake up once the smoke cleared. However, adrenaline instantly got the best of me as I quickly scooped up Icarus in my arms and quickly dashed to where our house was at. But...we didn't make it in time. Once we both saw the remains from what that damn cursed bomb did, our house was almost completely destroyed and our parents' bodies were never even there. The whole area was covered in a giant Reset Bomb Forest. "Mommy! Daddy!" Icarus cried in my arms as tears went down on my shirt sleeves. However, as I cried as well, I didn't cry in human tears like my brother. My tears were red as blood, because not only did I feel sadness and regret, but I also felt pain, suffering, guilt, anger, and despair inside of me! The only thing I wanted on Gaia was REVENGE! I then turned my head to face my crying little brother. "Let's go, Icarus. We have more work to do," I told him and he stopped crying and nodded. But he did felt a little scared when he saw my bloody tears, even though he didn't bother to ask why.
After we had our parents' funerals, despite the lack of bodies for them, we head back to our almost destroyed house. As you may have already noticed, we were heading to our father's workshop. Inside was a machine that allowed us to open up portals and travel throughout the reaches of time and space. I attempted to work on it myself after the death of my father, since he wasn't able to complete it, but the results kept ending up in failure because the systems kept malfunctioning. So, I asked Icarus to help me complete the machine together. After that, the machine was up and running with only two usages. "Icarus, I need you to stay here and keep yourself safe from imminent danger," I told my brother. "I've left some food and water for you to survive. Don't worry, I'll be back home once I've completed my mission." "Okay, big bro. Come back soon!" Icarus said with a small smile. I smiled back as I entered the portal, on my way to Skyworld and Angel Land.
As I arrived, I ended up in a big hallway of a temple. No doubt that I ended up in Palutena's Temple. And speak of the goddess herself, I heard her cries coming from the living room. I ran to it and saw the Goddess of Light crying on the table. "What am I going to do?!" she sobbed. "I can't let them continue this war any longer! At this rate, they're going to disrupt the celestial balance from where I can't control!" I sighed as I walked up to the green-haired goddess and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Relax. If you're going to need some help, I'll be happy to end this war," I told her as she swiftly turned her head to look at me. "Who are you and how did you get here?" she wondered. "My name is Lucifer and I am here to join your army. I heard that you are in need of help to stop the Underworld army, so I'll be glad to stop Medusa from continuing her mass destruction any longer," I explained, though the latter was a lie. Palutena beamed a smile as she stood back up, wiping away the tears from her face. "Thank you. You can be the Captain of my Guard. I'll give you special training before you can head out for your first mission," she said. "Thank you, Lady Palutena. It will be an honor to serve you," I replied with a bow. But as she walked out of the living room, I smiled a sinister smile. That goddess thinks I'm going to help her stop Medusa, I thought to myself. She's mistaken. I'll be going after you, Gaia. You will pay for murdering my parents and I will have my justice. After that, I left the living room to begin my training.

Which brings us to now. Currently, my form has changed. I have angel wings right behind me, and wearing a red toga with a laurel crown on my head. Right now I'm waiting to begin my first mission in the same living room where I first met the Goddess of Light. Suddenly, the said goddess appears right in front of me. "Your first mission is to figure out where the entrance to the Underworld is located," she explains. "If you see any enemies attacking the humans, take them out along with their commander. Once you've completed your mission, I'll bring you back here so that we can discuss on how to stop her." "I understand, Lady Palutena," I reply. "What shall I bring with me to begin the mission?" "You're going to be gifted with this weapon," Palutena says as she lifts her arm to reveal a bright glowing ball of light. The light flies to my right arm and created some type of Palm. "This is the Palutena Palm. Your very first weapon to fight the Underworld Army," Palutena explains further. "You will be the arrow of light to pierce through the heart of darkness. As an angel, it is your destiny to protect mankind from evil." "Thank you, Lady Palutena. I'll do my best," I reply and nod with a smile as the goddess smiles back. But, I instead have an idea. With this weapon, I can use it to face off against the Forces of Nature. Gaia won't have her way with me. You're going to pay for what you have done to me and my family! I'm going to avenge my mother and father, you cursed Goddess of Nature!

What a cold open to Lucifer's backstory, am I right? But as what people say, this game has only just begun. Also, now you know how Lucifer and Palutena first met and how he ended up in Skyworld in the first place.
