Vegas Lights
When the morning came Bonnie left out to deal with Klaus/Tyler the less I had to deal with him the better. Stefan showed up not too long after and got the ring from me, I did my part and fully intended on getting the hell out of here a day early.
I called Kol back and had him move my flight up, I wasn't dealing with whatever bullshit they tried to pull today. I knew Elena was in transition, I knew she didn't want to be a vampire and I also knew they wouldn't let her die.
I'm all for pissing off my ancestors but I had much more sense than everyone else whether they wanted to admit it or not.
So here I was packing my shit, I was gonna drive myself to the airport and not speak to anybody but my sister and Elijah until I got back.
I put Rudy into his carrier and brought my bag down to the car. I came back and loaded Rudy up next. I locked the house up behind me and climbed into the car, the further I got from town the more and more relieved I started to feel.
Maybe moving away from all of them to New Orleans was the best call I'd ever make.
I sent Bonnie a text letting her know I'd left and not to do anything fucking stupid.
I spent the bulk of the flight on edge so I ended up just sitting awake the entire time. When the flight landed I was the first person off of it. I collected my dog and then grabbed my bag when it came through baggage claim.
I used my magic to feel around, I'm pretty sure Kol was gonna wanna play his little game of hide and seek again and I was down for it.
I was mildly annoyed. I felt plenty of other magic but then again what did I expect we're in Vegas, a place that attracted so many visitors.
"So much for that." I scoffed looking around, we'd have to do this the old fashion way. I wondered for a bit but didn't catch sight of the vampire just yet. I knew he was hiding probably somewhere behind me giggling the whole time. So I decided to test the "blood bond" I turned and bumped into the first guy I saw. I dropped my suitcase but held tight onto Rudy.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." He apologized quickly, we both kneeled down to grab my bag. I made sure to do that whole awkward hands touch when we grab the bag and the laugh when we looked up.
It wasn't even 10 seconds later when I spotted Kol standing over the guy's shoulder.
"Get lost before I kill you." He compelled, the man stopped what he was doing and walked away calmly. I straightened my suitcase out and laughed.
"I think I won this time."
"Oh? You were playing a game?" He asked pulling me closer to him, I ended up dropping my bag again and setting Rudy's carrier down on top of it.
"I though we were playing hide and seek but on steroids." I smiled up at him. He let go of me and grabbed my suitcase from the ground.
"Play like that again, Darling and we'll have a problem." He started to walk off, I rolled my eyes and grabbed Rudy and followed behind him. Yes somehow I forgot he had pissy Mikealson moments too.
We headed outside and he put my bags into the trunk first before opening the passenger door for me, I leaned over the seat and put Rudy's carrier into the backseat, I opened up the cage and let him out. He barked happily and stretched his legs before jumping into the front in my lap.
Kol climbed into the drivers seat and patted Rudy on the head. It was nice to see one of them not outright disgusted by him.
"So how's Vegas been treating you?" I asked as we pulled out of the parking lot. The contrast from Denver was already blaring and I know Kol was happier here than there.
"Amazing, I'm thinking of getting a house out here." He replied. As we drove I took in the sights he intentionally drove us down the strip despite it still being daytime it was beautiful. I couldn't wait to come back later and see all the neon lights in their full glory.
"That sounds nice." I smiled, the heat was a lot different than Georgia's too. It was flat out uncomfortable here, it had to be about 100 degrees right now.
I needed a shower already and I only walked to the car. Kol pulled up to a cute house it even had the palm trees beside it. He got out and opened my door, I took Rudy out the car while Kol grabbed my suitcase from the trunk we walked up to the front door and headed inside. The AC felt amazing already. I set Rudy down on the floor and he took off exploring, I needed to feed him as soon as possible.
I followed behind the dog who stopped in the kitchen, he'd already had his nose inside a metal bowl on the floor. I noticed a bag of dog food sitting on the floor beside it.
"Aw you do like Rudy." I smiled as Kol stopped beside me. I could feel his eyes on me while I watched Rudy who stopped eating and was now playing with a chew toy.
"I'm still rather surprised Nik let you carry him around." He replied, Rudy came over with the chew toy and dropped it in front of Kol's feet." My siblings hate cute things."
"I think he felt bad, I only went along with him to help Damon. So I was definitely out of my element while him & Stefan killed people." I explained scooping Rudy up from the floor. He was definitely getting heavy and soon enough he wouldn't be getting carried at all.
Rudy pressed his nose against Kol's shoulder and started to lick him. Rudy was interesting; he didn't like any other vampire he'd met and especially took a dislike to Tyler but he seemed to love Kol.
"You risked your life to help Damon? Of all people, the bloke snapped my neck." Kol replied annoyed, it was obvious this happened before Kol woke up but I get the annoyance.
"It was a bit about Damon & a bit about Elijah." I confessed, Kol's eyes darkened at the mention of his brother. I was taken a back and took a step away." I was trying to help Elijah locate you guys, Klaus told him some bullshit story about throwing you at sea."
"Nik may be a controlling psychopath but he'd never do that." Kol dismissed the idea, and it made sense considering how distressed he was when Stefan stole them. I doubted he'd willingly gamble with them like that.
"When I saw the coffins, I knew I needed to help you guys. I'm not sure if it was the brief conversation I'd had with Elijah about you guys but it didn't sit right with me." I replied ruffling Rudy's ears a bit. I sat the dog down just before Kol grabbed me and rushed us both upstairs.
"What did he say?" He asked, he walked into the bathroom and turned the shower on. I pulled my tank top over my head and put my hair into a bun on the top of my head.
"He told me I reminded him of you. Rebekah also mentioned she thought you'd like me." I replied taking my pants off and walking into the bathroom.
"I see the similarities." He replied coming up behind me and kissing my shoulder." And Bekah may have been right."
"May have been?" I asked sarcastically, I felt his teeth gently prick my skin. This was probably the worse time to bring this up, but I think it was time." We need to talk?"
He leaned up pulling his fangs out my shoulder, I could see the tiny red holes from the reflection in the mirror."Right now? We've been talking since you got here. Surely you want to do other things."
"It's important." I said taking off the rest of my clothes. We could have the conversation in the shower if it made it less frustrating for him.
"Fine." He replied, the next thing I knew the both of us were standing in the shower while hot water cascaded down our skin."What is it?"
"This." I pointed at my shoulder, he scrunched his eyebrows up confused."The whole biting me and feeding me your blood thing. That's gotta stop."
"Oh." Kol hummed grabbing the body wash from above my head and rubbing some into my back."That makes sense now that I hear it out loud."
"Aren't you the witch expert?" I asked incredulously. If he spent as much time with witches as I'd been told then he should definitely knew what he was doing.
"Don't blame this on me. You're the witch." He shot back, I spun around and let the suds slide down my back.
"Barely!"
"Would you have preferred it was Elijah? Or Nik? Or Damon?" Kol asked he said each name with more and more disgust. I think he was too busy being jealous to understand why I was upset.
"No!" I grabbed the bottle of body wash from him and poured some onto a wash cloth."I would rather I wasn't overwhelmed by the fact, I get jealous over the bare minimum. The attraction is too much, I can't be around you without wanting to have sex with you."
"And is that a bad thing?"
"No? Yes?" I sighed frustratedly."I don't know, I have no idea how these things work. I'm scared. I had to find out from Bonnie why I reacted the way I did in Denver."
"So calm down and I'll explain everything to you." He said tracing the puncture mark on my shoulder with his fingers.
"How do we fix it?"
"If we stop blood sharing after a while it'll fade away." He replied and I felt instantly relieved, I expected it to be much harder to do but that was easy. Kol could still feed from me and I'd just heal myself.
"That's it?"
"That's it." He confirmed I turned around and leaned my head onto his wet chest.
"Is it just caused by blood sharing or is there more to it?" I asked. I hadn't really been bitten so with the exception of a few rare times nobody really got a hold of my blood. But I'd had Klaus & Damon's blood.
"A bit more." He replied cheekily. I leaned back and moved behind him so he could wash up." Bloodsharing during sex makes it more intense, I usually kill the girl after so I'd never actually gotten attached to anyone."
"I'm sure the initial attraction played a part in it too." I said there wasn't any point to downplay I'd been thinking about jumping on Kol since I'd first saw him.
"Yes."
"So we share a much more intense bond that can be undone if we wanted?" I asked just to confirm. I needed to at least know for sure that I had an out. If things went south in away I didn't die, I needed to be able to get out of here.
"I'm not sure how long it'll take. Trying to get rid of me already?" He asked cutting the water off, I climbed out first and grabbed two towels. I made sure to hand him the other one first before wrapping myself up.
"No. It's nice actually. I think we might be equally crazy about each other." I smiled up at him and dropped the towel. He didn't waste a second scooping me up and rushing us to the bed.
—-
I know I said I'd heal myself but Kol was definitely right, the blood combined with the sex was ephoric. The smart decision was to stop but I liked living life on the edge.
"I've decided I'm going with you to New Orleans." Kol randomly said. He was playing his Xbox while I was eating a burger and fries.
"I'll be fine Kol." I insisted, Marcel didn't want them to know he was alive. I doubted him & Kol would be able to be in such close proximity and not notice the other.
"No."
"Yes?"
"Are you hiding something?" He asked I made sure to take my time chewing my food. It was mostly to avoid talking but he'd figure that part out.
"No." I swallowed hard, Marcel had done nothing but look out for me so it's only fair I do the exact same thing for him.
"I can tell when you're lying, Darling." Kol replied spinning around to face me. My face turned bright red and I smiled nervously.
"Fine, if you come you stay attached at my hip." I said putting down my food, I'd just have to tip Marcel off and he'd be able to lay low. Granted I was supposed to stay with Sabine but I wasn't sure how I'd be able to manage that with Kol."Also you won't be able to stay with me."
"Attached to your hip but I can't stay with you? How do you intend on pulling that one off, Love?"
"The witch I'm supposed to stay with, Sabine hates vampires. I highly doubt she'd invite an Original into her house." I stood up from the bed and grabbed my plate. When Kol didn't respond I went downstairs to throw out my leftovers and clean off the plate.
Rudy was sleeping peacefully in the little doggy bed Kol had purchased for him. I sat down on the couch and crossed my legs. I wanted to check in on Bonnie. I closed my eyes and focused.
I popped up in front of Bonnie and Jeremy in the old witch house. Yup that's already a bad sign. Bonnie's holding Jeremy's hands and chanting.
They both have their eyes closed so neither of them noticed me yet, I moved behind Jeremy to get a look at Bonnie. How relaxed her face looked would tell me exactly what she was doing.
Blood pouring out the nose…
Red flag number two.
Jeremy suddenly jumps up, his body language screams he's in a panic. Bonnie looks like she's struggling.
"Fuck it." I mumbled I wasn't sure if I could even help her not in my physical form but I had to do something. I put my hand on her shoulder.
"Alicia! Stop her, she's trying to bring Elena back. I don't want her to die." Jeremy begged, I gave him a nod and joined Bonnie in the spell. She wouldn't stop on her own and I couldn't let her kill herself either.
She slumped over when we finished, Jeremy rushed over and started to cradle her head in his lap.
"Why didn't you stop her?"
"I'm not even sure if I could help, I'm not really here." I replied staring down at Bonnie. The black veins all over her hands and face meant she was dabbling in some very dark magic. I've used dark magic before and never had that side effect, it's scary.
"What do you mean you aren't here?"
"Astral projecting. I told her not to do anything stupid." I scoffed, I paused when I started to hear the witches whispering around me.
Why does she keep coming here?
She'll stay away once we punish her.
Yes! Punish her.
Oh fuck.
I opened my eyes and punched the couch, the witches kicked me out of the house. Kol was sitting beside me holding my hand. He had a bloody tissue in his hand and instinctively I reached up and touched my nose. I could feel a tiny bit of blood coming down.
"What were you doing?"
"Checking in on Bonnie, she's playing with dark magic." I shook my head, it wasn't because I was judging her. It was because she chose to perform dark magic in a house full of witches.
"Don't you use dark magic? That trick with the dagger you did can't be normal magic." Kol asked, I raised my eyebrow at him basically calling me a hypocrite.
"Our ancestors see Bonnie as the golden child. I'm the disappointment ." I replied with a shrug." That's expected from me, and they'll most likely let me die when I fuck up. Bonnie however is special."
Bonnie had always been the special one, it was never me. Everyone loved Bonnie while I? I just existed.
"When she fucks up, you step in and save her. I gave you my hand to channel because I could see you were struggling."
"She went to the other side to try and bring Elena's spirit back. If I'd known she'd try something that reckless I wouldn't have even left." I explained leaning my head onto Kol's shoulder. It was selfish of me to leave while Elena was in transition but I didn't want to deal with the fall out of everyone coddling and trying to save her.
Caroline would not receive half the help she did. Neither did Tyler who pretty much had to figure it out on his own.
"Nature won't allow it."
"Oh I know, the witches sent me back to my body but I heard something about them punishing her." I replied bolting up from the couch and running back upstairs to grab my phone. I quickly dialed Bonnie's number.
"Hello?"
"The fuck are you doing?" I asked, skipping the formalities.
"Nothing. Jeremy told me you stopped by. You don't have to worry. I'm fine." She replied quickly. I rolled my eyes knowing she was far from it.
"What happened?"
"Gramm's stopped me, I couldn't do it." She replied I could hear the frustration in her voice.
"I advise you not to use any more dark magic, the witches are planning something." I said, I could hear silence on the other end which was a terrible sign.
"I don't have a choice." She replied.
"Bonnie."
"It's out of my control." Bonnie said hanging up on me, I frustratedly tossed my phone against the wall. I definitely shattered it but I wasn't worried about it, Bonnie was about to do something stupid again.
"Little Witch?" Kol called out, the sound of his voice calmed me down a bit but I was still pretty angry. I started to make my way back to him when everything went black, the last thing I saw was my face coming toward the floor.
Ow
I sat up and rubbed my head why the hell was I back at the old witch house? There was a blueish tint all over the room so I knew for a fact I wasn't physically here.
Bonnie stood in the middle of the room, holding Gramm's hands while Tyler & Caroline watched on. They also had what looked like Klaus' coffin close by.
Fuck was Bonnie putting him back by herself?
She's gonna get us both killed.
Is that why I'm here?
Gramm's suddenly let out a horrifying shriek. I rushed to Bonnie's side and saw the horrible black veins covering Gramm's face and arms.
"Gramms?" I reached out to grab her hand but my hand went right through her. I frowned if I wasn't really here and neither was she. What the fuck was this?
"I'm sorry Gramm's they can't do this to you!" Bonnie screamed with tears pouring down her cheeks. I felt an ache in my chest. This was her punishment, they were taking it out on Gramm's and they wanted me to see it.
The two of them sound like they are in so much pain I have to cover my ears and then it suddenly stops. Bonnie fell down to her knees and Gramm's was gone. The room is deathly silent. All I can hear are the sounds of Bonnie's sobs.
I'm suddenly sucking in a deep breath while Kol pulls his wrist away from my mouth. I reach up instinctively and wipe my face trying to clean off any blood that probably dribbled onto my face.
"You okay, Darling?"
"I'm fine." I started to get up but Kol effortlessly picked us both up from the floor. He guided me over to the bed, I didn't really want to sit but I didn't wanna argue I was fine either."The witches wanted to punish Bonnie, they dragged me into it even though I'm here so I couldn't get involved."
"What did they do?"
"They tortured our Gramms, Bonnie used more dark magic and well they decided to use it on her." I explained, Kol sucked in a breath.
"Witches are known to be rather extreme."
"I know, I'm gonna call her and check in." I reached for my phone not knowing where it fell, Kol ended up handing me his. I smiled thankful for him and dialed Bonnie's number.
"Hello?" Bonnie cried, my smile immediately dropped. Bonnie wouldn't have done the magic if she didn't have to.
"Bon it's not your fault. It's mine, I shouldn't have left you." I replied staring at my feet."I knew today was gonna be anything but smooth and I left."
"You left for you." Bonnie clarified."I don't think it's selfish, it's actually out of you control. If he hadn't taken advantage of you, it wouldn't have even crossed your mind."
"Taken advantage?" Kol repeated his face quickly turned to anger before he left the room. I sighed knowing Bonnie was just upset and didn't actually mean what she said.
"He heard that didn't he?"
"Yup." I replied popping the P hard."But it's fine I'll smooth that out later. Are you okay?"
"Physically."
"I can come home. Kol understands." I replied, I could almost see Bonnie rapidly shaking her head no.
"No, I fucked up. It doesn't mean you should have to deal with it."
"Are you sure?" I asked I didn't want Bonnie to feel like she had to suffer in silence over a mistake.
"I'm sure, have fun. Kiss Rudy for me." She replied,I rolled my eyes at the soft sound of clicking paws running into the room. He let out a loud bark and Bonnie giggled."Speak of the devil."
"How's Elena? How's Klaus? How's everybody?" I asked, there had to be a reason Klaus insisted on going back in his body right now. I just didn't know the what.
"Elena's fine, she transitioned and she has the ring you made her. Klaus is back in his body unfortunately." Bonnie paused I could tell she was talking shit under her breath."But there's something you need to know."
"What's wrong?" I asked ignoring the Dog as he hopped into the bed with me.
"Alaric before he died he tipped off the council, they know about everybody and kidnapped Elena, Caroline, Stefan & Rebekah."
"Are we on the list?"
"Thankfully no, but it might be best if you kept Kol away until everything blew over." Bonnie said, I raised an eyebrow. Was she showing concern for an Original? Yeah. This whole spirits thing made her turn a new leaf.
"Okay I will. I love you."
"Love you too, Lee." Bonnie replied hanging up, I checked the time we still had some daylight left and I didn't intend on spending the entire trip shut indoors with a Vampire who has a daylight ring.
I took an actual shower and made sure to apply curling products to my hair to make my curls look their best. I got dressed in a tight dress and a pair of heels and did my make up to match. If I'm in Vegas I'm gonna gamble and to do that I need to look at least 21 and not 17.
When I finished getting dressed Kol came into the room, his clothes looked a bit ruffled but other than that he looked fine.
"Bonnie said she's sorry, she's just emotional right now. She didn't mean you took advantage of me persay." I turned away from the mirror to look at him, he slowly crept closer and put his arms around my waist.
"But she still meant took advantage." He said mocking my awkward way of trying to reword it." I created a blood bond with a witch, when I knew better. She's not wrong."
"I don't regret it, do you?"
"You sounded like you did earlier, Alicia." He replied, I put down my makeup brush and sighed.
"I don't like how intense it is, you have no idea how hard it is not to think about you, not to just be crazy? You don't know how much I wanted to hang up on my clearly distraught sister to make sure you were okay when you left." I replied, staring at him in the mirror." If I was just mildly crazy I wouldn't have even cared. I'm staking bitches over you."
"I'd stake a bitch or two over you." He replied casually his accent made it sound hilarious. He and his siblings sounded so classy. I let out a giggle just before he spun me around so we were actually looking at each other now."What's with the outfit? You look different."
"We're going to the casino and I can't stroll in looking all 17." I replied I suddenly felt insecure under his intense stare."Is it too much? I can change ?"
"You look ravishing. We can go." He replied heading into the bathroom. I sat down on the bed with Rudy and smiled.
I would probably never admit it out loud but maybe having a blood bond wasn't the worst thing that could happen to me.
Kol came back into the room and just changed his shirt, I imagine Bonnie pissed him off and he ate somebody but if he wasn't gonna say anything about it neither was I.
"You ready?" Kol asked, I nodded and stood up from the bed grabbing my phone and purse we headed out the house.
Seriously, if you had to develop a deep mental bond with somebody you'd rather it was Kol. Rich? Beautiful? Cultured? And would kill for me? What girl wouldn't want that?
I had the time of my life, we went down to the strip and did just about everything. We gambled, (I won't talk about how much money I would've lost if it wasn't for compulsion), rode the high roller, zip line.
We ended up at a random strip club, it was dark and crappy and some of the girls were definitely not my idea of strippers but it was fun. Kol was off getting a lap dance from one of the strippers while I was at the bar getting a drink, it was pretty dead in here and Kol made sure to compel the poor lady to give me whatever I asked for. Free of charge.
"Thank you." I smiled at the lady after she handed me my drink. I wasn't a big beer drinker but oooh fancy drinks with salt on the rim and umbrellas in them? I'd drink that any day.
"No problem hun." She replied popping her gum dramatically. I took a sip and grimaced at the taste, how people actually drank these like water I'd never know."You aren't worried about your boyfriend?"
I turned and looked over my shoulder. The girl was probably the pretty girl of the club. She did have this aura to her but I didn't feel like she held a candle to me. The entire time she was focused on Kol, he was focused on me. I turned back to the bartender and shrugged.
"I don't see a reason to."
"Lucky you." She smiled sadly, she crossed her arms. Her phone rang and she stepped away to answer it, when she did I turned my attention back to Kol. He wasn't looking at me anymore and looked like he was about to bite the girl.
I grabbed my drink and strolled over to the other side of the room where they were. I plopped down directly beside him and he stopped, he compelled the girl to leave and she did.
"I've got perfectly good blood right here, and you're willing to drink hers?"
"It was just an appetizer." He grinned, I looked up a bit confused why the girl only partially left. She was still way too close.
"I think we should go." I mumbled to him, the vibe in here definitely was different and something about it was rubbing me the wrong way.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I just wanted a drink." I held up my drink to show him, he scrunched up his nose and took it from me pretending to take a sip of it he sniffed it instead."You wanted a lap dance."
"Hmm? You've been vervained." Kol carelessly said, he poured the drink out on the floor and we stood up."Any idea why?"
Suddenly the lights went nearly blindingly bright. I flinched and covered my eyes. I heard a loud bang and felt a gust of wind. Kol was standing in front of me he'd taken a gunshot straight to the gut.
"What the fuck." I scoffed peeking from around him. The stripper stood there holding a pistol, while the bartender was still behind the bar holding a shotgun.
"I told you it was him." The stripper shrieked."Honey if you're in danger we're gonna help you."
"I'm a willing participant." I shrugged." Modus." I snatched both guns away and tossed them on the floor behind me. Both woman jumped clearly not expecting it.
"What do we do?" She shrieked again, I almost felt bad for Daisy, or Sunflower whatever her name is clearly wasn't the brains in this operation.
"Who put you up to it?" I asked neither woman looked like somebody who should know what a vampire looked like. Neither of them recognized I was a witch so they weren't supernatural.
"Rita tell them!" The stripper yelled she had her arms in the air as if I had a gun trained on her.
"They'll have to kill me." Rita scoffed and that was probably the worst choice in words she could've had because Kol flashed in front of her and snapped her neck not even a full second later.
"I just wanted a nice vacation." I scoffed, shaking my head, thankfully the club wasn't popular because compelling a whole staff and audience would've been annoying. I strolled over to the front doors and locked them while the girl still stood in the middle of the floor with her hands up.
"You wanna just tell us what happened so you can leave and not end up like Rita?" I asked, I glanced over at Kol who was digging the bullet out his stomach with a fork. Classy.
"Her son, he's like this big vampire Hunter. His names like Connor or something." She said quickly. I racked my brain trying to figure out if the name Connor should mean anything to me.
"Vampire Hunter ? And his mother wasn't safe? That's pathetic." Kol snorted, cleaning the knife off. It was especially if he's a big vampire Hunter.
"He's one of the five." She blurted out, now that got Kol's attention. The next thing she knew he was standing right in front of her.
"What did you say?"
"He's one of the five." She repeated she had tears streaming down her face as she talked. The girl was truly horrified right now. I was starting to feel bad for her.
"Where can we find him?" Kol asked, the girl sniffled and didn't reply. Kol barely moved and she let out a loud whimper.
"He's on his way to a town called Mystic something, something about some people getting blown up." She said quickly. I raised an eyebrow, we were out for a while and I hadn't replaced my phone just yet. Could she be talking about Mystic Falls? If a vampire Hunter was on their way there that wouldn't bode well for the many vampires living there.
"Well fuck." I sighed annoyed my luck was shitty to the point where it was definitely my home town and I'd need to hurry up and get my ass home as soon as possible.
I remembered Bonnie's warning and frowned, without Kol.
"What's wrong?" Kol turned slightly to face me, it happened so quickly I was surprised. The girl pulled a tiny wooden knife out her boot and stabbed Kol right in the heart. His skin got veiny and ashy as he fell to the ground.
"Son of a bitch you aren't helpless." I was mildly impressed, I was definitely pissed but impressed she played her damsel in distress role so well.
"What stripper is?" She scoffed, she stepped over Kol's body and rushed to me. I take it she either forgot that I snatched her guns with just my words or what.
"Incendia." I smiled as a wall of fire blocked her, she jumped backwards completely confused.
"What the fuck are you?"
"A witch, one of the big ones." I smiled mocking her own words, I snapped my fingers which gruesomely snapped the girl's neck. I put the flames out and rushed over to Kol, she wasn't bright enough to leave the knife in Kol's chest and he was already starting to get some color back.
I doubled back over to her body and grabbed the knife, I'm sorry but a wooden knife with some vampires sounded like an amazing idea. I shoved it into my bra and sat down beside Kol, I wasn't sure how long it would take for him to wake up.
We needed to get rid of the footage if there was any and get rid of the body's. I wondered if either of them knew exactly what kinda Vampire he was and if they did would they have even tried him.
Kol sucked in a breath of air and sat up, his hands went down to his chest and then he looked around the room. His eyes stopped on the girls body before turning back to me.
"Did you kill her?"
"Of course." I shrugged she literally shot and stabbed Kol only a dumbass would've let that go.
"We need to get back to town, warn everybody." Kol stood up grabbing my hand. I did a quick scan of the room and came to the conclusion they didn't have any cameras.
"They can handle themselves against a vampire Hunter." I replied as Kol opened up the front doors and dragged me out.
"No they can't."
"Incendia." I mumbled targeting the spot Kol had dumped my drink out. Granted setting a place on fire wouldn't hide two broken necks but it would definitely make things easier."
"What is one of the five?" I asked as we quickly jumped into the car, Kol pulled off immediately.
"There is a species of Vampire hunters. It's usually 5. Their sole purpose is to kill Vampires. The last time we crossed paths with one of them, Nik discovered the dagger." Kol replied his grip on the steering wheel was so tight he might've broken the thing.
"Wait what?" I was taken aback, if Klaus had gotten his dagger from vampire hunters that would imply they'd actually lost a fight.
"Rebekah was dating one, Alexander was his name. Him & his brothers daggered us while we slept but because Nik was a werewolf the silver didn't work on him. He killed them all and undaggered us but that's unfortunately when he discovered he had a way to control us." Kol explained, if these people were able to successfully neutralize the Originals then they definitely weren't anyone to fuck around with.
"We go home, kill him then get on the first flight out of here." I replied shrugging, Kol looked at me as if I was crazy."Don't tell me they're hard to kill."
"Whoever kills one becomes cursed, tormented by hallucinations."
"But you said." I gasped surprised, that means they tormented Klaus and since he killed all of them he had to have suffered tremendously.
"Nik suffered for over 52 years. They tortured his dreams, he suffered every waking minute but was unable kill himself because we're immortal."
"So what the fuck do we do?" I asked, completely flabbergasted, we couldn't kill him. Which would make it fair game for him to slaughter one of the Mikealson's.
"Make sure your mates don't do anything stupid?"
—
So I tweaked some of Connor's backstory because why the fuck not?
