Authors Notes:
I'd like to propose a little challenge for y'all, I'd like y'all to guess which MTG character I am going to have know Ozpin/Ozma. There are a few options here, most of them are Pre-Mending Planeswalkers, but hey, it could be practically anyone from MTG's history, given how old Ozpin/Ozma is.
If you care to hazard a guess, leave a Review/Comment with your answer, and if you guess correctly I'll leave you a shoutout on the chapter in which that character appears. I'm going to try to get the team off Remnant by next chapter so that character will probably be appearing soon.
Anyway, this is going to be a longer chapter, as I will be covering the events of "Search and Destroy", "No Brakes", and "Breach" all in one, I don't want to break these three episodes up as their plot would be quite difficult to make into two chapters, and it would be a disservice to the story itself.
I'm also going to do a little something that will let me skip over the bulk of Volume 3, I don't really think a 5 person team would be all that common in Remnant, so if Team RWBYS wants to compete in the Festival, one of them is going to have to sit out.
Anywho, I hope y'all enjoy this chapter.
Chapter 7:
Grapple at Mountain Glenn
A Bullhead flies over the city of Vale, carrying Team RWBYS and their Huntsman Chaperone, Dr. Oobleck, to their mission, thin the numbers of Grimm in the abandoned settlement of Mountain Glenn, but Team RWBYS had a mission of their own, search for a White Fang based that is supposedly in this region. The team sat in the jet, chatting amongst themselves, until the craft began to slow and eventually came to a complete stop. The Team jumps out of the jet, weapons drawn, landing in the street of a ruined city, Dr Oobleck following them, thermos in hand. When all six of its passengers have departed, the Bullhead turns and flies back to Vale, leaving the dystopian ruins.
Oobleck gets the attention of Team RWBYS, "You may still be students, but as of this moment, your first mission has begun! From this point forward, you need to do exactly as I say! Do you understand?" He questions, to which the team nods, Oobleck notices a bag on Ruby's back, "Ruby! I thought I told you to leave all your bags back at the school." he questions.
"But, uh, you didn't tell us to listen to you then, so I didn't." Ruby says nervously.
"She's not wrong," Oobleck mutters to himself "Very well Ruby, leave your bag here, we can pick it up on our return."
Ruby protests this a bit, "Young lady, what in the world could be in that bag that could be so important to bring it with…" Oobleck begins asking before he is stopped when Zwei's head pops out from the bag.
Ruby whispers at Zwei to get back in the bag, to which the Corgi just barks in response.
"We're here to investigate an abandoned urban jungle teeming with death and hostility, and you brought a dog?" The Professor questions. Ruby stammers a bit in response, trying to come up with an answer, but is interrupted by Oobleck.
"Genius!" The professor says, snatching Zwei "Canines are historically known for their perceptive noses and heightened sense of sound, making them excellent companions from a hunt such as ours" he says, Zwei barking happily in response.
Ruby is stunned by this reaction, but proudly states "I'm a genius!" earning a facepalm from Weiss and Yang.
"So, what are your orders, Doctor?" Blake asks.
"Aah yes, straight to the chase, I like it! As you've been informed, the southeast area has been marked as a recent hotspot for Grimm activity. Now there are several explanations for this behavior, one of which being…" Oobleck suddenly stops his speech, "Grimm."
"Uh, why the redundancy?" Stone asks Oobleck.
"Grim. A creature of Grimm approximately one hundred yards from us at this very moment." Oobleck replies.
"What?!" Yang asks surprised, turning around to see a lone Beowolf wandering into view from an intersection. Team RWBYS ready their weapons to take out the Grimm, before being stopped by Doctor Oobleck.
"Stop!" the doctor says, the Team lowering their weapons in response to this.
"Huh?" Blake asks confused
"There are a number of reasons why Grimm will congregate in this particular area, the most likely of which will be their attraction to negative emotions, sadness, envy, loneliness, hatred. All qualities that are likely to be held by our hidden group harboring ill intent." He says.
"So… what now?" Ruby asks.
"It's uncertain, hours, days, weeks. Why, lone Grimm have been known to stay isolated from their pack for months - and there's the whole pack." Oobleck says, as five more Beowolfs appear from the intersection following the first.
"What?" Weiss asks.
"And now they've seen us." Oobleck says, further stating the obvious.
"What?!" Weiss says lounder and more panicked.
"And now they've seen us!" Oobleck says getting right up to Weiss' ear.
"I take it that tracking them is out of the question?" Ruby asks.
"An accurate assumption, yes." Oobleck replies.
"What's the plan then?" Yang asks.
"Show me what you're capable of." Oobleck says.
Ruby swings Crescent Rose, preparing it for shooting, "Cover your ears Zwei!" She says.
Yang charges one of the Grimm and knocks it out in one flaming punch. A Grimm attempts to use its sharp claws, slashing at Blake only for its claws to go right through, revealing the real Blake behind the Grimm, slashing the Beowolf in half with Gambol Shroud. Behind Blake, Weiss runs from a Grimm, before jumping in the air and taking it down with one jab from Myrtenaster, she dashed towards another group of Grimm, slashing them all in one motion. A group of Beowolvess begin converging on Ruby until they are taken down by deadly fire from her rifle, as another group of Grimm try to swarm Stone, one rushing at him and raising it's claw to strike, but Stone ducks out of the way and uses his sword in his right hand to slash the Grimm in half, the rest of the Grimm attempt to rush him all at once, but they are met by Stone sticking out two of his fingers on his left hand and moving them in an upward motion before bringing them down in front of him, unleashing a magical wave of fire erupting from him, reducing the Grimm to ash.
"Heh. Piece of cake." Ruby says.
"Do not celebrate yet, for I am certain this is the first bout of many. Shall we continue?" Oobleck asks.
The team continue on their way, slaying Grimm as they go, but as they fight the Team notice that Oobleck has not been fighting, being far more interested in investigating ruins than helping them slay Grimm. Oobleck begins questioning the Team each individually, asking them why they chose to be Hunters/Huntresses. Yang says she's a thrill seeker, Weiss says she has a legacy to uphold, Blake says she wants to right wrongs, and Ruby says she's always wanted to be a huntress, ever since she was a baby.
The team begin to set up camp for the night, starting a fire and setting up sleeping areas, the team begin discussing what they were asked by Oobleck. It is at this time that Oobleck approaches Stone for questioning.
"Mister Stone, I have a question for you?" Oobleck says.
"And I have an answer for you." Stone says in a coy tone.
"Why did you choose to become a Hunter?" Oobleck asks.
Stone exhales and looks prudently at the fire, "Doctor Oobleck, it might surprise you to learn I am not originally from Remnant." Stone says, surprising the Doctor.
"And now I'm stuck here, but this world has much evil in it, the Grimm are a massive threat, I've also made friends here," Stone says, looking at Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang, "and even though this world is not my home, I want to defend it as if it were." Stone says.
Oobleck is shocked to be sure, but he respects Stone's reason for wanting to be a Hunter, sitting up and moving in front of the fire to address the team.
"Very good! Eat your dinners and hurry to bed. We have a lot of ground to cover tomorrow and we'll need you to take turns keeping watch over our temporary abode. Any volunteers for the first watch?" Oobleck says, Ruby raising her hand in response.

A full moon shines over the ruins of Mountain Glenn, Grimm moving through the ruins. Fire crackles from a campfire within one of the ruined buildings, and around this fire Team RWBYS and their chaperone Doctor Bartholemew Oobleck, sleep on their bedrolls, with Ruby keeping watch, making sure no Grimm gets too close for comfort. Yang opens her eyes and takes her place on watch from Ruby, who takes Yang's place on the sleeping bag, with Zwei sitting next to her. Zwei suddenly wakes up and stands up, causing Ruby to wake up as well. Zwei runs out of the building and Ruby goes after him.
"Zwei! Zwei, where are you? Zwei! Huh?" Ruby says, stopping when she sees the Corgi peeing on some ruins, "Zwei this is a wasteland, you could have done that anywhere!" Ruby says annoyed.
Zwei barks, "What was that?" Ruby hears a voice nearby, hiding behind some ruins.
Ruby sees two White Fang members walk to where she had just been, "What was that?" one guard asks the other, "I thought i heard a Beowolf or something." The first says to the second.
"Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base. This place gives me the creeps." The second guard says to the first, the two walking away and out of sight. Ruby and Zwei follow close behind, seeing the pair walk into a pair of metal doors on a ruin.
"Oh! This is it! This is it!" Ruby says excited, taking out her Scroll and attempts to contact her teammates, only to be met by a 'Low Signal' message, "Aw man! Come on, we gotta get the others!" she says running down the street, Zwei following close behind.
Ruby and Zwei run down the street, attempting to get back to camp to inform her team about the White Fang she saw, but suddenly the asphalt beneath her gives way and opens to a hole underneath her. Ruby is able to grab the ledge and hold on just long enough to throw Zwei out of the hole, after the Corgi lands on the ground, the ledge Ruby is holding onto gives out and crumbles beneath her fingers, causing her to fall into the pit, plummeting into a large cave filled with more Ruins, landing on a building against the cavern wall. As Ruby gets up a nearby door bursts open as two White Fang guards come out weapons drawn.
"Freeze!" One guard yells at Ruby, "Where did she come from?" The other asks, Ruby backs away until she reaches the edge of the platform.
Ruby reaches for Crescent Rose only to find it is not on her hip, one of the guards grabs her arm.
"Hey! Hands off!" Ruby says, jerking her arm away and punches the guard, to little effect. The guard punches her in the face, knocking Ruby to the ground.
"The boss is gonna want to see this one…" One of the guards says, kicking Ruby in the head hard enough to knock her out.
Ruby awakens to the two guards who caught her dragging her by her arms through the underground city. As she is dragged she sees White Fang members busy at work, doing various things, one member pilots an Atlesian Paladin mech to carry large shipping containers.
The guards come to a stop at a rail car, "Hey boss! Found something you might want to see!" One of the guards shouts into the rail car.
Ruby recognizes the voice that responds from the car "Is it good or bad Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day." The voice of Roman Torchwick comes from a rail car.
"Uh, it's a little girl?" The guard now known as Perry responds.
Roman Torchwich leans out from the doorway, seeing Ruby, "That would be bad" he says.

Yang gets up to go wake up Weiss for her turn at watch, "Hey Weiss, it's your…" she starts before noticing that the bedroll Ruby was on is now empty, "Hey, where's Ruby?"
"What?" Oobleck says, getting up and seeing the same thing Yang saw. Zwei comes running into the room barking.
"What's going on?" Blake asks.
"Grab your weapons! Your leader might be in trouble." Oobleck says as the team gather their weapons and head out in search of their leader.
Zwei leads Oobleck and the team to the hole Ruby fell into, as Yang spots Crescent Rose next to the hole.
"Ruby's scythe!" Yang says concerned.
"Oh no." Blake says.
"Looks like the ground caved in." Stone says
"Do you think she fell?" Weiss asks
Oobleck looks into the hole and sees the city underneath, "Oh my, of course. OF COURSE!" he shouts, realizing the situation, "Mountain Glenn was an expansion of the City of Vale, home to thousands of people commuting to the city! The main city developed a subway system to the inner city. Grimm attacks increase, and the population seeking for shelter evacuated into the metro tunnels and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!" Oobleck says.
"Doc what are you saying?" Yang asks, confused at the torrent of information.
"My dear, we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!" Oobleck says.
'Heh, what a coincidence, an underground crime network that is literally underground." Stone says.
"They've been working in caves?" Blake asks.
"If Ruby is down there, we must find her." says Oobleck.
"I think I may have an idea on how we can get her back." Stone says smiling.

Roman Torchwick stands in the railcar, taunting Ruby on her capture. Ruby uses her semblance to escape her bindings but is quickly recaptured. As Roman goes to taunt Ruby again he is interrupted by a massive explosion coming from above.
"Oh what the… Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that ? Kinda in the middle of something." Roman says, Perry nods and takes a few White Fang members with him, hearing another explosion go off nearby.
"What the blazes is going on here?!" Roman says confused.
Perry and his contingent of White Fang round a corner to see another explosion go off, seeing the cause of them. Seeing what looks like a Faunus with a sword on his back at the end of a street. Perry walks closer to investigate, noticing that this can't be a Faunus, this person has wings, a tail and horns.
"Hehe, nice try at a disguise, but everyone knows a Faunus only has one animal trait. Hands up!" Perry shouts at the figure. To Perry's shock the figure's wings shift a bit and his tail flicks as he turns around.
"Oh I can assure you, this is not a disguise." Stone says before letting off a wave of freezing cold air from his hands on the White Fang, freezing Perry and his White Fang members all in place.
"Don't move," Stone says to Perry, pushing up his glasses before running past the White Fang members in the direction they came from.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Zwei, and Oobleck run around the corner, catching sight of Roman. Ruby decides to take the moment to escape, jumping on Roman's shoulders and pushing his hat down over his eyes and fleeing towards her team.
"Somebody kill her!" Roman says, annoyed, readjusting his hat.
Roman and the White Fang members around him begin shooting at Ruby, to which she bobs and weaves in between the shots.
Roman angrily turns to one of the White Fang members next to him, "Attach this cart and spread the word: We're starting the train." he says
"But we're not finished!" The White Fang member says.
Roman pins the member against the wall with Melodic Cudgel, "Do it or you're finished!" he says angrily.
Ruby continues to flee, but comes to a complete stop when coming face to face with a group of White Fang members. An explosion rings out from behind the White Fang members sending them flying, revealing Yang behind them. Ruby runs up to her sister and jumps into her arms.
"Ruby!" Yang says happily.
"Are you okay?" Weiss asks.
"Ruby!" Stone's voice comes from behind her, she turns around seeing him running towards her, "Are you alright?" he says.
"I'm fine, I'm fine! But listen! Torchwick's got all kinds of weapons and robots down there." Ruby says exasperated
'What?!" Blake says surprised, handing Crescent Rose to Ruby.
"Androids, mechs, they're all loaded up on the train cars!" Ruby says.
"Ahhh, that's ridiculous. These tunnels are sealed, the tracks lead to a dead-end." Oobleck says.
"Get to your places, we're leaving now!" Roman Torchwick's voice says over a PA system, the train lurches forward as the PA cuts off, moving into the tunnels.
"Well, it sounds like they're going somewhere." Yang says.
Ruby takes out her scroll, "We need backup. Let me call Jaune." opening the device only to be greeted by the Low Signal message once again, "I can't get through!" she shouts
"So, what do we do?" Weiss asks concerned.
"I believe we only have one option…" Dr Oobleck says.
"We're stopping that train!" Ruby turns around and says enthusiastically.

The White Fang train surges through the tunnels, loaded with stolen Mechs. A White Fang member walks through one of the cars of the train, hearing a noise outside and looks out a window, seeing a small puff of rose petals. Lifting up his communication device, he goes to speak into it.
"I think they got on the-" he begins before getting cut off when he is hit in the head by Doctor Oobleck, knocking the White Fang member out cold.
At the front of the train Roman sits in a chair looking very pleased with himself, thinking he had given those brats and their babysitter the slip, until a White Fang member bursts through the door of the cabin.
"Boss! They made it on the train!" the White Fang member says panting.
Roman sights "Then grab some cargo and get them off the train!" he says angrily, the White Fang member nodding and leaving the cabin.
"Man, animals, every one of them," Roman says, not noticing the White Fang member sitting next to him, he looks awkwardly at the member and says, "Not you though, you, heh, you're great" chuckling nervously a bit.
Team RWBYS and Oobleck are standing on top of the train's caboose, "Hurry! We must get to the front and stop this train!" Oobleck shouts over the rushing air.
"Err… Professor?" Weiss says.
"Doctor…" Oobleck corrects her.
"What's that?" Weiss asks, pointing down the hatch of the car.
Looking down the hatch, Oobleck sees what looks to be a bomb.
"That my dear… appears to be a bomb." the Doctor says, all of Team RWBYS cringing away from the hatch.
Ruby points forward to a car further up the train, "We've got baddies!" she shouts. The team look to where she is pointing and sees dozens of White Fang members climbing on top of the train, getting ready for combat. When then the team hears the bomb start making electronic noises, before it starts beeping.
"Uh, I think we should get off this car!" Stone says in a panicked tone.
The team begin to run away to the next car, when Oobleck turns to Blake, "Blake! Detach the Caboose!" he shouts.
"Oh it!" She shouts back, jumping down to the connector preparing to cut the connector, until the connector breaks loose by itself.
"Huh?" She says confused, looking up at Oobleck, "It decoupled by itself!" she shouts.
"What?!" Oobleck shouts confused.
"I guess he really doesn't want us on this train." Yang says.
As Yang finishes, the detached train car slides further and further into the tunnel, before being engulfed in a ball of flame as the bomb is set off, shaking the tunnel like an earthquake.
"That's not good…" Oobleck says.
"Err, neither is this!" Ruby shouts, looking into another open hatch and seeing a second bomb.
"Another bomb?!" Blake shouts with surprise and fear.
Doctor Oobleck looks into the open hatch, then runs to the next train car, "No, no, no." he says, running to the hatch and looking in, "They all have bombs!"
The bomb under Team RWBYS arms and begins beeping, the team run off to the next car as the one they were on detaches, fades into the distance, and explodes into a fireball.
"This doesn't make sense!" Yang shouts.
"He's trying to shake us! We gotta keep moving!" Stone yells.
Just as Stone finishes shouting, Doctor Oobleck notices figures running behind the train, a horde of Grimm, following the train on its path.
"Oh, dear… He's leading Grimm to the city!" Oobleck shouts panicked.
"What?" Weiss shouts.
""It's the cars! They detach and explode, creating openings for the Grimm!" Oobleck yells.
"That's insane!" Blake yells as another car detaches.
"We have to hurry!" Oobleck says, he points to Yang, Blake, Stone, and Weiss, "You four! Go below and try to stop those bombs!"
"What about us?" Ruby says.
"We're going to stop this train." Oobleck says.
"... Yeah, I know. I said that earlier." Ruby says.

As the group of three run on top of the train cars, multiple White Fang members start piloting multiple Atlesian Paladin Mechs and jump onto the top of the train. A White Fang Paladin begins charging the three.
"Up ahead! We've got a problem!" Oobleck shouts, before taking a sip from his thermos and transforming it into its weapon mode, with a small flame at the tip. Zwei barks in response and jumps, flipping into the air and Oobleck bats him at the Paladin, turning the Corgi into a small fireball. Zwei slams into the Paladin and sends it flying off the train and tumbling to the side of the train tracks, hitting a barricade and exploding. Zwei lands on his feet as another Paladin steps in front of him, guns primed and aimed at the small dog, until it is hit by multiple blasts of fire before getting knocked off the train by Oobleck's weapon.
Down below Weiss, Blake, Yang and Stone enter the train car.
"I guess this is what we were trained for." Yang says
Weiss reaches into her pouch and pulls out a magazine filled with dust vials and hands it to Blake.
"Here, this should help you." She says.
Blake takes the magazine and slides it into Gambol Shroud. The team charges forward only to be met by a strange woman with pink and brown hair, dressed in a white and pink strapped dress descending from the ceiling with an umbrella and into their path.
"You three go on, this one's mine." Yang says, readying Ember Celica.
Blake, Weiss and Stone proceed forward, as Neo prepares to attack. But she is distracted by Yang firing a shot at her, allowing the three to slip past the woman.
In the next car the three are met by a large White Fang member with a chainsaw, dragging along the floor and revving it up.
"You two go on ahead!" Weiss says.
"Got it!" Blake and Stone say.
The three students charge the White Fang member, who swings his chainsaw at the three only to be blocked by Gambol Shroud and Highlander, with Weiss delivering multiple strikes, knocking the White Fang down. Weiss smiles at Blake and Stone as they proceed to the next car. The White Fang member gets back up and chuckles menacingly.
"Finally, I get to kill a Schnee…" he says with malice in his voice.
Weiss readies Myrtenaster en garde.
Blake and Stone finally reach the engine of the train and Blake grits her teeth at the sight of Roman Torchwick.
"Hello kitty cat. You miss me? You know we really gotta stop meeting like this, people are gonna talk…" Roman says in his snide tone, earning Blake's ire.
"And you must be the 'Dragon,'" Roman says sarcastically, "I'll bet a hundred Lien those wings and that tail of yours are fake." he says smiling, earning a scowl from Stone.
Fed up with the criminal's words, Blake and Stone charge Roman, overwhelming him with their synchronized strike, knocking the criminal down. Roman attempts to get back up only to be met by Blake stepping on his chest and pointing the tip of Gambol Shroud's blade at his neck.
Roman chuckles nervously before radically changing his tone, "Why are we fighting? I saw you at the rally, we're on the same side and you know it…" he begins before Stone kicks him in the face.
"You and us, we are not even close to being on the same side." Stone says before leaning in close to Roman's face, "And FYI, I'm not a Faunus." he says before kicking Roman in the face again, knocking the criminal unconscious.
At this time the remaining members of Team RWBYS file into the engine cab, Ruby looks worried as she realizes that the engine is on a collision course with a concrete wall.
"What do we do?!" Blake asks, panicked.
Ruby and Weiss smile at each other, and Weiss forms an ice shield for the team, and the team braces for the incoming crash. The train collides with the wall, causing a massive explosion, the force of the explosion knocking the team unconscious.
Minutes later, the team begins recovering from the crash as they hear alarms blaring and people screaming. The crash had punched a hole into the heart of the City of Vale, allowing Grimm to pour out from the hole and begin attacking the people as they run away in terror.

Team JNPR are sound asleep in their dorm room, Jaune muttering in his sleep, when suddenly he is awoken by the ringtone of his Scroll.
He opens it, muttering "Hello?" groggily, only to be met with a few seconds of noise, consisting of snarls, gunshots, and screams, before cutting out. Confused at this seemingly random occurrence, he checks the caller ID from the number, "Ruby?"
Team JNPR walk towards their Bullhead, Jaune is still concerned about the call he received from Ruby, Pyrrha sees it painted clearly on his face.
"I'm sure they're fine," she says.
"You think?" Jaune asks.
"Probably a butt dial…" Nora says.
"Team RWBYS has always performed exceptionally in the field. We should be focusing on our own mission." Ren says.
"We're gonna be Deputies!" Nora says enthusiastically.
"I just got this feeling…" Jaune begins, before being cut off by the alarm ringing as smoke rises from the city.
"We're changing our mission. Everyone on board!" Jaune says, Team JNPR moving into their Bullhead.
"Ren, we'll make it to that village another time. Take us into the city!" Jaune says, the bullhead taking off.
Mercury, Cinder, and Emerald watch from nearby.
"You don't think…" Emerald says in a leading tone.

Team RWBYS stand in the city pavilion surrounded by Grimm of all kinds, Beowolfs, Ursai, and an absolutely massive King Tijitu. The Taijitu lets out a bellowing roar, signaling for the Grimm to attack, the horde charging the team. Ruby leaps off the platform and slams Crescent Rose into the ground, using it to spin herself around and kick the Grimm surrounding her. Yang propels herself into the air and rains down fire on the Grimm below with Ember Celica before three Giant Nevermores kick her in unison, sending her crashing back to the ground. Blake slashes at a Beowolf with Gambol shroud before firing on advancing grim with its pistol mode. Weiss slashes at three Beowolves before using a Glyph to summon a massive ice blade, killing the Grimm in one strike. Stone uses Highlander's rifle mode to pick off Grimm before getting hit from behind by a Beowolf, staggering forward, struggling to react to the sneak attack. Three more Grimm join in the assault, as Stone is forced to divide his attention between the four Grimm, attacking one only leads to a counter attack from three other directions. Stone Aura is draining fast, until a sudden burst of magical energy wells up within him and his eyes glow bright blue. A wave of swirling elemental energy expands around him, freezing ice, raging fire, and crackling lightning forming a barrier around him and sending the Beowolves flying backwards and crashing into the ground, before fading back into the Dragon. "Is this… my Semblance?" Stone thinks to himself, before he had felt as if his magic had become weaker because of that barrier, but now he was feeling more like he used to before arriving on Remnant, but simultaneously he felt as if his Aura was weakened. Yang, now back on the ground, sends several cars flying towards the Grimm. Ruby slashed a Grimm, turns around to continue fighting, and sees the King Taijitu right in front of her, ready to strike, until the King Taijitu is suddenly struck on the head with a silver and pink hammer, with Nora Valkyrie holding the handle, creating a deafening crack, killing it on impact.
"NORA SMASH!" She shouts.
Jaune, Pyrrha and Ren follow shortly after her, charging into battle and taking down Grimm. Following shortly after Team JNPR, Sun Wukong and Neptune Vasilias arrive on the scene, flashing their junior detective badges.
"Nobody move! Junior detectives!" Sun shouts.
"We have badges so you know it's official!" Neptune says, adding to Sun's words.
From the sky comes the Atlesian Fleet, headed by General Ironwood's flagship and flanked by dozens of dropships filled with Atlesian Knight robots, dropping them into the city to join the fray. In one of the dropships is the 2nd year Team CFVY accompanied by Professor Port, jumping into the pavilion and lending their aid to the other students already locked in combat. Out of the shadows comes Cinder Fall, flanked by her underlings Emerald and Mercury, giving the two a nod, signaling that they were clear to engage the Grimm as not to blow their cover. The two surging into combat and fighting the Grimm. And from the hole comes Zwei on top of a damaged Atlesian Paladin being piloted by Doctor Oobleck, Zwei jumping off the mech and headbutting a Grimm.

The Grimm did not stand a chance against the combined forces that came to Vale's defense. All the Grimm that had breached the city had either been killed or pushed back into the tunnels, which was quickly resealed.
Emerald and Mercury hold Roman's arms as they escort him towards the Atlesian Flagship. "Oh, I can't believe you caught me, you've really taught me the error of my ways," he says sarcastically, his sarcasm does not last as he is grabbed by an Atlesian Knight.
"Hey hey watch the hat!" he says as he is led away into a dropship.
Roman Torchwick is led into a cell and thrown in by his robot escort, a forcefield sealing behind the criminal.
"You brought this on yourself." The general says coldly.
"As you probably know, General, I'm not a big fan of local law enforcement." The criminal says in his trademark sarcastic tone.
"I'm giving you one chance. Who's really behind this?" General Ironwood angrily questions Roman.
"Isn't it obvious? You're looking at him." Roman says
"Hmph, very well." General Ironwood says, walking away from the cell without a word.
After everything had been secured, and the locks on Roman's cell double and triple checked, Team RWBYS were given a congratulations from General Ironwood, a scolding from Glynda Goodwitch, and sent back to Beacon. The team sits on the school's landing platform, looking into the sunset.
"Well, we did it." Ruby says.
"We did it." Blake says, parroting Ruby.
"If we don't get extra credit for that, I'm gonna be seriously disappointed." Weiss says.
"Weiss, a two headed snake literally crushed a bakery, I wouldn't count on it." Yang says.
"Plus, I mean we didn't solve everything. A lot of people were hurt, and we don't even know why they did this." Ruby says sadly.
"Well, not every story has a neat and tidy ending." Weiss says, trying to cheer up Ruby.
"Yeah, we did what we could." Stone says.
"We might not have all the answers, but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars. And I think that's something we could be proud of." Blake says.
"Yeah! And if anyone tries something like this again, we'll be there to stop them, Ruby says enthusiastically, "And that's not the only thing we can be proud of, Stone finally got his Semblance!" She says standing up.
"So it was my Semblance!" Stone says.
"Have you come up with a name for it?" Yang asks.
"I have, I was thinking, Elemental Tempest." Stone says.
"Hmm, fitting." Blake says.
"Well hooray. So what now?" Yang says.
"I suggest training for the tournament, but I think we have that covered at this point." Weiss says.
"So then…" Blake says.
"Uhh… time for bed?" Ruby asks.
"Please." Yang replies.
"Absolutely." Weiss says.
"Yes." Blake says.
"Definitely." Stone says.
"I'm going to sleep forever." Yang says.
Team RWBYS all stand up and begin walking back towards their dorm, after a long couple of days, they had earned their rest.

Whew! That was a long chapter, but covering three episodes instead of just two does tend to be a good bit longer than the latter. Anyway, what did y'all think of Stone's Semblance? I had a few ideas on what I wanted it to be before I finally settled on a two fold Semblance, the elemental shield and magic boost. I felt it would fit well with his magical abilities, being primarily elemental attacks and effects. I also really liked the idea of a "Sword and Shield" Semblance, having it be able to create a barrier of elements, shielding himself from attack and damaging attackers while weakening his ranged magic, or power up his ranged magic at the expense of his Aura being weaker and easier to break. As you probably know, an Aura and a Semblance are tied to the user's soul, as is with a Planeswalker Spark, so I might do something with that, perhaps Planeswalkers with Auras can recharge their aura by using mana.
With all that out of the way we are now reaching the Fall of Beacon, and the enactment of Ozpin's failsafe. Next chapter is the big one, the epic climax of this section of Shattered Sky. I've already started on Chapter 8 so I should have it out by Monday at the earliest, and since we've covered 3 entire episodes here and I will be skipping over the bulk of the Vytal festival, I believe the next chapter will be either shorter than normal, or just about normal length.
