Those are pretty good but the thing is, I didn't focus on maxing out my defensive [Sacred Gears] so I'm gonna go back to fix that problem.
But first, I'm gonna go check on Yoruichi since she's been unconscious in her room for the past 48 hours and that doesn't sit right with me 'cause all of this started when she absorbed both the grimoire and the orb, which could mean one or two things.
One, she has met with a foreign entity like some people do in anime when they're about to get a new power-up, which will be interesting to see as her powers are somewhat linked to both electricity and speed so again, it will be pretty interesting to see.
Two, she's either in a coma or dead, which is not the most ideal way for me to think but given how she hasn't woken up yet, it's safe to say that this might be a reality.
Either way, checking up on her will confirm my suspicions about this situation.
Heading straight into her room, I open it and find her floating in the air with lightning and thunder surrounding her and her eyes are glowing with sparks of electricity coming out of it.
"Just as I expected. She's forming a contract with someone but who could it be?" I question, staring at her.
Let's hope that she wakes up because I'm starting to miss her.
One breakfast later and some interaction with the girls, I head out to school.
Once I arrived at Kuoh Academy I saw there were still a few minutes left till class so I took a detour to the student council room.
Once in I started chatting with Sona and her peerage.
Sona seems calmer and happier after our date, which was good since I want nothing short of the best for one of my favourite waifus.
Anyway, once class time was in session I said my goodbyes to the student council and headed to class.
-Timeskip-
I was in the middle of class, doing some school work, until the door opened gaining the attention of the whole class, in the doorway stood Akeno looking better after my fight with her.
"Please excuse me but I was sent to retrieve Jin on behalf of my president," Akeno says, flashing a fake smile at the teacher.
Taking that as my cue to stop doing some of the work as I followed Akeno after the teacher gave the good-to-go response for me to leave.
Finally arriving at the ORC, we parted from each other as I sit on the opposite side of where Rias is sitting.
"Good, everyone is here, now we can start the me-" Rias says before being cut off by a power level she didn't feel in a long time.
Before she could even speak she was interrupted by a magic circle appearing in the middle of the room, and it did not stop there.
In the same instant, it appeared the magic circle burst into flames that did not burn the carpets.
I'm gonna guess his control over fire magic is pretty high if he can do something like that.
"It's been a while since Riser had visited the human world." Riser says.
Out of the flames came a blonde-haired man wearing a red suit that did not seem to know how to button up his shirt.
"Ah! Rias dear, is good to see you again" He says, spotting the Gremory heir with his eyes.
"Wish the feeling was a mutual one, jackass," Rias mutters under her breath quietly enough so that he could not hear her.
A minute later Riser had made himself at home in the ORC as everyone sat down besides Grayfia who stood next to Rias, Akeno served us tea in the meantime including Riser.
''I must say the tea that your queen makes is superb.'' Riser says while sipping some of the tea made by Akeno.
"I appreciate your compliments, lord Riser." She replies calmly.
Akeno kept her professional look but the way her eye twitched now and again made it pretty obvious she was forcing herself.
Wow, he might be one of the few people whose mere presence makes anyone want to cause a genocide of the Phenex family in just a few seconds of meeting him!
He's talented in that regard, I'll give him that.
A few minutes later, he got bored and got up from the sofa, he then proceeded to get uncomfortably close to Rias.
If that was not creepy enough he then began playing with her hair while rubbing one of her legs, it was honestly pretty disturbing to watch for me.
Despite how calm Rias tried to look the anger boiling inside her was pretty visible.
"Now then, Rias, it's about time you drop these childish activities and return to the underworld as my wife." Riser says, staring at the Gremory girl with a look of arrogance.
"I thought I made this clear, I don't want to marry you!" She shouts back at him
"That is not your choice to make dear, our parents are doing this for our good"
Why do I sense a hint of anger not aimed at Rias when he said that?
Is he not doing this out of his own volition like I thought he would?
I'll keep an eye on him, just in case 'cause this just got interesting.
"They don't get to decide that! I am the one who should!" Rias says, her eyes containing anger and determination.
"Rias, it is time to stop this game of play pretend and fulfill your duty as an heiress of the Gremory household." Riser says arrogantly.
"NO! I will NEVER marry someone like you!" Rias shouts with a look of resolution in her eyes.
The fire of rebellion inside her eyes refused to bend her knee to the whims of this man.
"Rias, I may be civil but your refusal is like a spit to the Phenex family's great name... something like that I cannot allow, you either come along obediently or Riser will drag you out of here even if he has to burn your entire peerage!" He replies with anger.
To make his point even firmer he coated his hand in the fire, fortunately, Grayfia unleashed her presence which lowered the temperature of the entire room by quite a bit, feeling the overbearing presence of the maid made the two stand down.
They don't call her 'The Strongest Queen' for nothing.
"Lord Sirzechs had foreseen this problem, so he came up with a compromise... a rating game. Should Lady Rias win she would be allowed to choose who she marries, should lord Riser win the wedding will proceed as planned." Grayfia explains to the two heirs.
That got both of their attention, they understood that it was the only way. For Rias this was her chance to break free of this engagement, for Riser, this was a chance to make the stubborn Rias submit.
"That is acceptable but a question first, Rias dear... is this your entire peerage?" Riser asks confidently.
"Except him yes, what of it?" She replies pointing at me as Riser took one moment to look before dismissing my existence once more.
With a smirk and a click of his fingers another magic circle appeared barring the Phenex family crest, out of it appeared fifteen different girls.
His whole peerage appears even his sister to be honest she looks more beautiful in person than she was shown in the anime.
"Riser possesses a full set! Except your queen all your pieces are weak. How could you hope to challenge Riser in that condition?" He asks arrogantly.
Rias stood her ground trying not to look intimidated, but in truth, she was very anxious.
Can't blame her though as she was both outgunned and outnumbered.
"Anyway, Rias my love, Riser will grant you thirty days to train. By then Riser hopes that you can train your pieces well enough to give Riser a challenge." Riser says, focusing his attention on Rias.
"You think I need a handicap?" She asks angrily.
"Oh believe Riser, you will need all the help you can get."
Upon delivering that last line Riser along with his servants left the ORC with the same teleportation spell they arrived in, leaving burn marks on the floor as they disappeared.
"What a dick!" I say, voicing out my opinion to everyone in the room.
Note to self, approach the Phenex family when you have the chance because it looks canon might be going in a different direction and I'm all for it!
"Now that it's over, let's begin the meeting."

A little while later Rias dismissed everyone so I went home and prepared myself for a session of grinding since I desperately need it.
Riser's got Rias beat in both power and numbers so if she loses, I'm gonna have to be ready to fight him.
It's not because I care about Rias or anything but because I hate Riser enough to put aside my pride against Rias and kick his ass to the moon.
I select the monster [Dungeon] so I could get more Celestial Spirit Keys and maybe complete the set even though I'm probably never gonna use it.
I already have my undead and my shadows so I don't need any more summons to fight for me.
But still, it would be to give these keys to someone who knows how to use that magic and the only one that comes to mind is Lucy Heartfilia so maybe that's who I should get.
I twirl my katana around and activate my 'Black Form' while staring at the wave of monsters with a manic grin on my face.
"Well then. Let's grind!" With those words out of my mouth, I lunge at them while letting a demented laugh worthy of getting someone in an asylum for the remainder of their life.
-Yoruichi Shihoin-
"Great and again, what do I get out of this?!"Yoruichi says with exasperation in her voice as she then crosses her arms while staring at the foreign being.
It had been two days since she was trapped in this realm, talking to this Spirit King.
From what she remembered, he was one of the five Spirit Kings who alongside the Celestial Spirit King, guards the Spirit realm from rogue spirits.
He was proud of his job, it's just... he was so damn cocky.
"But more on that later," She thought to herself.
"Simple, you get to watch me destroy those who stand in the way of my fated ascension. I will become a Divine Spirit!" The spirit says while laughing manically like a cartoon villain.
"Anyone ever told you you sound like an edgelord? Jeez, and I thought I couldn't meet someone worse than Jin but here we are." The former Shinigami mutters the last part to herself while the spirit blushes in embarrassment at the fact that he was being called an edge lord.
"I'm not an edge lord, I just like saying edgy things." He says while pouting like a child.
"So you admit that you are an edge lord."
"I AM NOT A FUCKING EDGELORD, GOT IT?!"
"Whatever you say, edge lord," Yoruichi says watching him throw a chair across the room her mind had her trapped in.
"Fine! If you don't want me to possess you then what do you want?" He asks her.
"Send me back and just to make sure you don't try anything funny, let's form a contract. That way, you can keep an eye on me and I get stronger. Who knows, maybe this is how you'll become a Divine Spirit." Yoruichi says with a thoughtful expression on her face.
"Hmph, fine but don't think for a second that I'm gonna be enjoying this. The only reason I'm letting you go is because this will be beneficial for me. You try and deny my existence and you're done." The spirit says while mentally patting himself on the back for a job well done.
He could feel it.
The power of a Divine Spirit was almost at hand.
A yellow and golden magic circle appears on the ground and Yoruichi bites her thumb and slams it onto the ground, feeling a surge of power enter her body.
"Remember my name, human. It's Baal, the Lightning and Thunder Spirit King!" Baal says as he enters her body, the former Shinigami lets out a powerful scream of anger and slight pain.
She then lets darkness takes its hold and doesn't resist it even.
She just accepts it, hoping that this would stop the pain.
-Next day-
"Gah, I'm finally done with training today," I mutter to myself as I lay on my bed, trying to think of my growth when suddenly, I hear a knock on the door, making me sigh as it is probably Sirzechs who is trying to have me help Gremory or something along those lines.
Fine, I'm done running away from my problems.
I started this and I'll finish it.
By the time I get downstairs, I see both Esdeath and Serafall punching Grayfia, with the latter struggling to pry off the two Ice queens.
"So, you thought you could come in here and do whatever you want? Think again!" Serafall shouts at Grayfia before hutting the maid
"Unhand me! This concerns your human friend." She says before being stabbed by an ice construct, courtesy of a pissed-off Esdeath.
"Hmph, funny. Whenever you Devils need help with something, it always ends up including Jin in it. Do you think he's some kind of dog?" Esdeath roars out as she summons an ice soldier and has it punch the devil in the gut, making her vomit blood.
This is... not how I expected things to go.
The two of them are gonna do something that they'll regret.
Still, as long as they don't cross the line with this one, I'll let them vent their frustrations on the maid.
"Tough luck, bitch! It's time for you to pay!" Serafall yells out as she makes a huge tsunami appear out of thin air and hurls it at Grayfia, who's immediately hit by the water and Esdeath creates ice spikes to stab her while she's in the water.
Okay, they're pulling out the big guns so I should get ready to defend Grayfia, even though she's not one of my favourite people, I can't let her die like this.
It's a coward's death.
"Please, I'm begging you. I don't come here as the Maou's queen. I come here as the sister-in-law of Rias Gremory. I promise you this. If Jin Kageyami wishes to not have anything related, I'll understand but allow him to hear me out before he makes his decision." She begs while coughing out water and blood.
But it falls on deaf ears as the two of them lunge at her with their weapons pointed at Grayfia's head in an attempt to kill her and end this farce.
Sorry, but this is getting too dangerous for the others to step in.
Esdeath and Serafall are too consumed by rage so unless I knock them out or something, there's nothing I can do here.
Within seconds, I manage to grab onto Esdeath's arm and perform a somersault on her with me ending up on top of her while she tries to free herself from my grasp but that's not going to work.
I then summon my Death Knight and Igris and have them guard Serafall, who seethes at the thought of not being able to humiliate Grayfia a bit more.
I have a higher strength stat than her so she's trapped until I decide to let her go.
"Are you two calm now?" I ask calmly to my companion, who huffs in annoyance so I take that as a 'yes' and let her go.
She stands up and sits on a random chair while playing with her rapier as well as throwing a glare at Grayfia.
"Jin! Tell your soldiers to get out of my way." Serafall says calmly and while this does scare me greatly, I'm not gonna let someone die innocently like me.
Never again.
I won't let someone suffer the way I did and that's a promise!
"Let. Her. Go. Serafall," I say coldly while glaring at her and the next few seconds are awkward but eventually, she calms herself and I do so too and recall my two soldiers of the dead, not needing them anymore.
"Thank you!" Grayfia says while bowing half way so I reluctantly do it as well, unsure of why she would do this.
I'm not sure if this is the best course of action but that's a problem for future Jin I guess.
"I'm guessing that you want me to help Rias?" I ask and she nods her head, getting a sigh of annoyance from me.
No, I shouldn't be annoyed 'cause this is what they want.
They want me to help Rias and after that, the ball will be on their court.
"... okay then. Tell Rias to be here tomorrow after school with her whole peerage. If I don't see her or anyone from that group, the deal will be nullified." I say to her as she nods her happiness, my [Observation Haki] has picked up a huge wave of happiness and relief from her, which isn't surprising, to say the least.
She bids me farewell and leaves by using a magic circle, leaving me to my thoughts once more.

'Cause I know how Rias acts and thinks in this part of the story and trust me, it's gonna take all of us to even help her to stand a chance against Riser.
Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. Just gather the girls and the rest will let itself unfold.

Fine. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try this line of thinking.
As long as I can move on from helping her, I should be good and besides, Rias is Sona's best friend so I have to help her otherwise, I wouldn't be able to look Sona in the eye.

"What good will come out of helping her?" Esdeath asks.
"We need to be on their good side 'cause I plan on selling some of the stuff we get from the [Dungeons] and right now, they're the only ones I can think of selling those to. Well, besides Azazel but more on that later." I explain my plan to her but the thing is, I'm not lying.
I would like to earn some money that doesn't come from the [Dungeons] so I could fund the school I'm building and what better way to do that than sell some extra stuff to the two races I've talked to so far?
But still, I would like to be rewarded for helping Rias and her peerage at least, even if there's my best friend in there, I'd like to be compensated for wasting my time training a girl with daddy issues, a lazy brat and a bootleg Sasuke.
Fine, if that'll help you shut up about helping those people.

Serafall leaves without saying a word and I sigh, knowing that this can only be solved when she wants it.
I need to focus on the task at hand.
I gather the rest of the girls and explain to them what's happened so far, getting several refusals of help from them, especially Yoruichi but unfortunately, we need to do this 'cause otherwise, they'll just keep coming back and I'm tired of them kicking in my door just to ask me for help.
After explaining the training regiment I've got planned for Gremory and her peerage, they nod their heads with a sadistic grin on their faces, making me silently pray that the young devils don't suffer too much because of them, though that's a small guarantee since they're the ones who started this first.

"Thank you for coming Jin, we will need all the help we can get." She quickly says to me.
''Don't sweat it, anyway now that you are all warmed up it's time we go on to the main point of your training"
"Alright let's get started!"
"But we are going to a very special place to train!"
"Huh?"
"Don't worry about it! I am just asking If you're ready that is?
"We are." She says as they nod their heads.
"Good! Let's get started! It might be easy at first, but I'm sure that together, you'll be able to push each other to new heights."
"But... where are we going?" Rias asks.
I smirk.
"You'll see soon enough," I say while checking their stats as we walk back to my house to start the training session.

I guess that makes sense they never trained before because they usually fight against stray devils or any other supernatural being who are weaker than them, I can easily beat them with no help.
But this isn't a dick-measuring contest, this is a training trip, and I'm the trainer, so I better do my part.

It's been five hours and they've managed to at least avoid the girls' attacks before getting wrecked by Esdeath, who had fun beating the crap out of Akeno since the latter likes to be in pain.
I fly over to them and a quick [Observe] told me that all of them levelled up at least 10 times.

Next time we'll go even further beyond.

"Now, I showed you this first in good faith, and I want you all to swear to me that you will not tell anyone," I say calmly while glaring at them and using [Conqueror's Haki] on them but at a minimal level so they don't faint on me.
The sudden change in mood caught them off guard.
They look at each other, silently communicating before nodding.
"I swear on my family name that no one will know about this," Rias says passionately.

"Not even him." She says adamantly.
I then do something I didn't expect myself to do towards them.
I smile warmly at every one of them.
"Thank you for understanding."
Maybe teaming up with them won't be so bad after all.
