Chapter Ten: shopping, Lordships and wills.

Harry starts to walk down the alley until he sees a sign above a slanted doorway stating that he was outside of Flourish and Blotts. Stepping into the store Harry finds himself surrounded by shelves of books and school supplies. Harry walks up to the counter to ask where he could find parchment,quills and ink.

"Excuse me do you know where I can find parchment,quills and ink."

The clerk turned to Harry and pointed down one of the aisle in which Harry could find his requested items. Walking down the aisle and picking up the requested items Harry starts to wonder. (Why do wizards quill and ink instead of paper and pens? Wouldn't paper and pen be easier to write with.) Walking back to the counter Harry takes out the card the Ricsaw gave him. Paying for his items Harry walks out to see if he could spot the owl shop. Spotting it Harry heads over and inside. Looking at all of the owls Harry was mesmerised he doesn't know if he has ever seen so many owls in one place. Looking through the owls Harry came across a beautiful white as snow owl with amber eyes that glowed with a sense of power and could look right through you, she gave off an air of intelligence that none of the other owls had. (I have to get her. She is the one.) It is like the owl knew that Harry wanted her because she flew down and landed on his shoulder. Going up to the counter Harry bought the owl, a cage and some owl treats.

"Um sir do you know where I could buy some clothes." Harry asks after he had gotten everything that he needed for his new pet. Getting the information that he needed, Harry went back to the Leaky Cauldron so he could write his letter back to hogwarts. Back in his room Harry began to write his letter.

Dear Deputy Headmistress Mcgonagall.

I would like to inform you that I accept my place at Hogwarts and I am looking forward to meeting you all.

Finishing his letter Harry turned to his new owl. Just then Harry realised that he hadn't named her yet.

"Ok how do you like to be named Hedwig." Harry questioned. The hooted in acknowledgement. "Would you like to take my letter to Hogwarts." The owl nodded and stuck out her leg.

Harry tied the letter to Hedwig's leg and watched her take off. As he watches Hedwig fly Harry looks over to the clock and realises that it is almost midday and that he should probably get some lunch. He heads down to the bar to get some food. After eating, Harry goes back into the alley to find a shop named Madam Malkin's robes for all occasions. Find the shop Harry heads inside and spots a woman that he presumes is Madam Malkins.

"Um excuse but I need some new clothes. As you can see my clothes are way too large for me." Harry says politely.

"Yes sir, what were you after." The lady asked in reply.

" I was looking for a whole new wardrobe if you could help me ma'am." Harry said.

"Of course that's ok Son but that won't be cheap especially if you want them in high quality materials." She said

Harry nodded and said " Its' fine I would like to look like the heir I am." Harry smiled

Madam Malkins nodded and went to get a tape measure and a book for Harry to look at. While she was doing that Harry looked at the clothes on the racks to see if there was any style that he really liked or any colours he really liked. When madam Malkins came back out Harry had decided on a few different colours. Blue,navy blue, charcoal grey,black, silver,emerald green and dark purple. When he noticed the madam Malkins was back Harry walked over with the colours he wanted in mind.

"Could you please stand on the platform so I can take your measurements mr?" The woman said .

"Potter ,Harry Potter ma'am."Harry replied

Shock flitted over her face for a second. "Well mister Potter you can call me Olivia." Says the woman

"Thank you Olivia, just call me Harry." Harry said confidently.

Olivia and Harry spent the next 2 hours looking at different styles, colours and trying on all kinds of different outfits. Finally leaving the store Harry had pockets full of clothes and decides to go back to his room and spend the remaining time before dinner sorting out his new clothes and throwing the old ones out. When he gets back to his room there is a brown barn owl with a letter tied around it's leg. Going over to the owl Harry unties the letter and watches as the owl flies off. Putting the letter on the bed Harry reaches into his pockets to get the bags and unpack. Once he was done unpacking, Harry took the letter from the end of the bed and sat down to open the letter.

Dear heir Potter,Black,Gryffindor,Slytherin,Ravenclaw,Peverall

Would you be so kind as to come to Gringotts at 10 am on Monday 31st July to collect your Lordship rings and to hear the reading of Lily and James Potter wills.

(Well it looks like I am going to Gringotts soon.) Harry spends the next few days exploring Diagon Alley and buying his school things. Harry's birthday approached so quickly that on the morning of the 31st Harry didn't realise it was his birthday until he looked at his new calendar. Getting up and dressing in some of his nicest casual robes Harry goes and has breakfast. When the clock turned 9:50 Harry made his way out into the alley to Gringotts. Getting to the bank 2 minutes early,Harry walks up to up to one of the tellers and bows. Once again all of the Goblins in the front of the bank stop to stare. At that moment another Goblin walks up to Harry and tells him to follow him.

Walking into Ricsaw's office Harry bows to the Goblin. To Harry's surprise Ricsaw bowed back. Sitting down in the seat that the Goblin offered. Once he was settled Ricsaw began to speak.

"Would you like to start with the Lordships or the wills it does not matter either way."Ricsaw said.

"I have a feeling that the wills will be revealed and I think that I am going to need all the power I can get before the Lordships." Harry explained.

The Goblin nods his head as if understanding. Ricsaw presses a button on his desk and another Goblin comes running in and says something Harry couldn't understand. Ricsaw responds and the Goblin rushes back out of the office, coming back minutes later with a box. Handing the box to Ricsaw the Goblin then left the room again.

"Ok there will only be five Lordship rings in hear because you cannot get the Black ring, the lord is still alive." Ricsaw said.

Harry nodded and asked "Is there anything I have to do or say when I am accepting the Lordships. "

"Yes when you are putting the rings on you have to say I Harry James Potter accept the Lordship of said house name and all of the rights and responsibilities that come with the title."Ricsaw said.

"Ok should I start with the Potter ring."

The Goblin nodded. Harry opened the box and took the Potter ring out. Slipping the ring on Harry said."I Harry James Potter accept the Lordship of the house of Potter and all the rights and responsibilities that come with the title."

Harry repeated this process for the rest of the Lordships.

"Ok now that done we will get on to the will readings. Follow me."

The Goblin stood up and so did Harry. Following the Goblin Harry was led to a small room with a round table with a white orb on a stand in the middle of the table. There were three seats at the table. Taking one of the chairs Ricsaw gestured to one of the others for Harry to sit at so he is directly in front of the orb. After Harry had taken the seat Ricsaw taps the orb and said " James Fleamont Potters last will and testament."

The orb flashed and for the first time Harry got to see his father's face.

This is the last will and testament of James Fleamont Potter and it is made of sound mind and body.

Firstly to Sirius Orion Black I leave 25,000 Gallons. Go and have fun and the care of my son if both me and Lily are gone.

Next to Remus John Lupin was I leave 50,000 Gallons go and live a good life.

To my wife Lily Evelyn Potter I leave all of my money in my vaults and all of my property. I also leave a letter for Harry to give him on his 11th birthday. It will be left in my vault.

To Harry James Potter I leave the Lordship of the house of Potter and if both me and Lily are dead then you get everything we own.

To Severus Tobias Snape I leave a letter of apology for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused you over the years.

To Peter Pettigrew screw you. You are the reason we or I am dead.

And lastly to Dumbledore you are an asshole that manipulated me and Lily.

Lord James Fleamont Potter

As the will finished Ricsaw looked to Harry and saw tears running down his face.

"Are you ok to carry on or do you want a minute before we continue." Ricsaw asked gently.

"Let's continue." Harry said. "It's not going to get easier."

"Lily Evelyn Potters last will and testament."

The orb flashed again then showed Harry his mother's face for the first time.

This is the last will and testament of Lily Evelyn Potter and it is made of sound mind and body.

First to Alice Rose Longbottom I leave 25,000 Gallons and the care of my son if both of us are gone.

To Amelia Susan Bones I leave 25,000 Gallons and the care of my Son if me and James are gone and Alice is gone. Thank you Amy.

To Severus Tobias Snape I send forgiveness and a letter for him.

To Peter Pettigrew I sent a screw to you. You killed us.

To Dumbledore you are a dick who manipulated and played with us.

And lastly to Harry I leave everything we own and a letter for your eleventh birthday.

Lady Lily Evelyn Potter.

The image stopped and went back to white Ricsaw looked over to Harry and realised that he needed some time alone, so he got up and left the room.
