Thank you, reviewers!

GreenEggsN'Ham – Here you go! Ponder and stress no more! It is here! This next chapter hopefully will slay! And yes, I want that to come across. Remember Japan especially back then was not a place that was so applauding of showing off the female body. How many times was that stressed in the actual Inuyasha franchise? All the time and I wanted to continue to reflect that. Now demons may feel differently about it but society as a whole did not.

EbonySapphire – Right. They don't know. She will cut a bitch. *grabs knife*

Lilura Maeva – Yes! Let's see how well the two cultures mix or collide in this chapter. Thank you for your review.

Luna Lockhart – Awe! Thanks love! I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Rodidor – Oh my god, oh my god, Oh MY GAAWWWDDDD! I did update! Now read it! Enjoy it! Tell me what you think!

Calhounariel97 – Here is the remedy for that! Another chapter for you hun! Enjoy!

meezart – Yes, it is indeed a slow burn. Maybe the heat will turn up? Hm? Thank you for the review!

Chapter 14: Raining Cats and Dogs

Sesshomaru landed on his property in a flash of white light. A powerful aura slammed into him that felt like the wind was beating against his body. The rain fell from the sky immediately as he landed to investigate what was going on. His instincts were raging against the boundaries of his mind. He looked around at some of his men sprawled out on the walkways and pathways of his Shiro while others seem to rush forward towards the outside courtyard. The bodies of his army men shook pitifully clutching their wounds yet still alive and groaning. Rain pelted his armor hard, and lightning struck down like pillars into the moist earth, displaying their fury. Pinks and blues highlighted his home in an electric charge. The rain washed the dirt, mud, and blood into the soil. He could feel the cold droplets sliding down his face and piercing his skin through his now wet clothing bitingly. Parts of the grass along the walkways were singed, and it smelled of burnt foliage. Luckily the grass was saturated with the downpour so a fire wouldn't start and burn his palace down.

The scent of the Queen was everywhere, and it sung a powerful note of deadly intentions. Rain poured down the water slopes and cobblestone paths of his home and rinsed the wounds of his men clutching themselves to stop the bleeding. Weapons lay about and various demonic auras were bursting trying to aid them in their fight and recovery. Lightning struck the ground each time one tried to get up daring him to move and suffer a death of the worst kind. He listened to the foreign language spewing from what could only be a woman's voice in the distance. He rushed forward growing angrier by the second to see more of his men down and lying defeated before him. Sesshomaru stepped over them not wanting to hear words at the moment but to make sure Rin was safe.

He immediately sniffed for Rin to find her in her room safely being guarded by his guards. Within seconds he flashed upstairs inside the castle. Sesshomaru made it to her hall to see the men waving frantically at the colorful beetles that covered Rin's door and crawled upon them. He saw as they were being squashed and turned into powdery gold sand but transformed themselves back into little beetles neither biting them nor causing them damage other than annoyance. They were dressed in battle gear, yet he found them to look pitiful as they seemed to focus on the tiny bugs surrounding them. His men saw him and immediately moved out of his way while shouting warnings to stay back from the creatures. Their shouts and cries grated on his nerves.

"Sir, the bugs!" One demon yelled crushing one with his hand to only see sand drip from his hand onto the floor. Sesshomaru watched the golden sand form the shape of a beetle before solidifying with a hardened red shell and black body. He came closer and the beetles all scattered from the door and out of his way, recognizing the powerful demon and allowing him entry. He moved pass his men and opened Rin's door quickly to see for himself about her safety. Rin gasped at the noise and turned in her bed to see her Lord. Rin turned her bright watery brown eyes to him shaking underneath her covers from the storm and the screams outside. Her palms were together holding something before she began to scramble from her covers.

"Lord Sesshomaru!" She croaked quickly climbing out of her sheets and racing over to him. She clutched onto his clothes tightly and buried her face in his wet hakama's. She coughed hazardly catching his attention even more so. He patted her gently before moving her back to inspect her. Bokusenō had said that the two females were in danger. He found Rin to be safe physically with no wounds. Now he needed to see to the Empress.

"Rin." He called her name to catch her attention and pulled her back to look up at him. His nose sniffed her scent smelling something odd about the little girl. Pushing the thought to the side he held her noting her warm skin as well. "Stay here."

"My Lord. What's going on? Rin just woke up to loud screams and lightening everywhere." Rin voiced looking up at him silently begging him not to leave her. "I called for Lady Ororo several times, my Lord. And I found a new friend." She opened her palms and in her hands was a tiny beetle with an emerald shell on its back resting in her tiny palms.

He ran his claws through her hair quickly to calm her and nodded. He speedily bent down and picked Rin up before rushing quickly towards his quarters. He turned the corner and touched two pairs of doors before they glowed a bright silver and opened. He entered the room filled with furs from his ancestor's collections and sat Rin down on a pile safely by a fire pit. He looked around and found his mokomoko to drape around her securely. Rin coughed harshly pulling the soft fur tightly around her before lying back down visibly drained. She opened her palm and sat her friend down on the floor gently before nuzzling the soft fur that belonged to her Lord. He nodded to her before going back to confront the madness that was happening in his home. Fury filled him and within seconds he was in the courtyard to see the cause of such pandemonium.

The foreign woman and his General fought sword to sword. The General looked staggard as Ororo stood tiredly clearly rotating between countering Kenji and his men. Her weapons were curved but deadly by the way that she moved and slashed about. Her long hair stuck to her brown skin and blood dripped from her sword as rows of his men lay unconscious or groaning around her except for his General who fought skillfully despite his bleeding injuries. However, he could tell she was not trying to kill him as she made light gashes in his sides. His armor was nowhere to be found on his person and he seemed to have suffered many blows whereas Ororo seemed unscathed.

Thunder boomed loudly and he could hear screams inside of his castle from those fearful of her wrath. Rain pelted them harshly almost blindingly as Mother Nature sided with her daughter. She was soaked to the bone and her skin was showing indecently. Her body was drenched from the rain, and one could almost see right through her attire. The sound of metal clashing mingled with the roar of energy his General was putting into his attacks. Ororo hadn't even done so using only physical offense and defense measures as if saving her energy for something or someone else. He walked forward flexing his aura dangerously warning them both to stop.

His General backed away glaring at the woman as she sneered with eyes glowing an eerie white. Ororo looked at him and pointed her weapon dangerously at Lord Sesshomaru. "You betray me!" She stated as lightning struck in the distance above her.

Sesshomaru glared at her flexing his claws. Her accusation bristling against his skin. His glowing golden eyes took her in unafraid of her power display. He caught sight of his General that decided to act without his command. The young demon took the opportunity of her diverted attention to rush towards her for a sneak attack. Her eyes flashed and very quickly her right hand punched him hard in the face knocking him sideways and her foot came around knocking him in his gut. A painful noise of a cracked bone reverberated from him. Clear shock was on the General's face as he stared at her feeling his death approaching. Ororo growled. "Pity." She mumbled before an electric charge shot out from her hands and into the young General's body. His body shook before falling to the side unconscious.

Ororo turned fully forgetting the young General to look at Lord Sesshomaru with malice. He watched her take calculating steps sizing him up.

"You dare threaten me?" He voiced flexing his claws with eyes changing red from the assault on his men and his General.

"After what you have done to me?" He could feel her aura build and the skies growled in anger. He looked to see them grow darker if possible. A sound that he had only heard from large beasts was heard above him. He looked around to see the rain began to slack and tiny pieces of ice began to fall and pelt him. The clouds swirled unnaturally, and the wind picked up tremendously. His men could be seen trying to get away from the two powerful combatants.

"You are mistaken." He spoke stepping towards her watching her move into an odd fighting stance. Her strangely carved weapons dripped in blood that slid off clean from the blade. "When have I showed you hostility?"

Her chest rose and fell harshly clearly upset and ready to strike. "Lies. You sent them to attack me. Rin was a diversion." She threw at him. "And you speak of honor. I should have known." Her eyes flickered with silver storms dancing in her eyes removing the enchanting crystal blue orbs. Her long hair whipped around her wildly like a weapon of its own.

In a flash of a second he stood in front of her and she lashed out. He withdrew Bakusaiga quickly and met her attack in flash of green light that clashed with her electric blue and white. Powerful winds swirled around them as they met head on. Sesshomaru could feel her raw energy and frowned. His men were simply a warmup as she seemed to be awaiting his arrival. He pushed her back and she flipped landing on her feet. Ice the size of sake cups fell hard pelting him and cutting into his skin. The skies growled above. An odd funnel began to form in the sky. His instincts screamed for him to escape whatever it was. That what nature was doing was beyond his control and against him. He needed to get to the bottom of this and quickly before they both took out the area around them. He could tell from her power that she wasn't one to chase and she would fight on his grounds. He held out his weapon before putting it away. Watching her eyebrows rise in shock to see him seemingly defenseless.

"What happened?" He asked putting away his Bakusaiga.

Ororo shook her head refusing to be tricked again. "Draw your weapon!" She yelled. The skies shouted following her command.

Sesshomaru was before her and very quickly she moved her hands to block him using the base of her weapons instead of the blades. Seeing this, he immediately knocked her hands back before she could switch to her blades to slice him. His weight fell upon her and knocked her down to the earth. His claws dripped green acid next to her face while her blade sat digging slightly into his neck ready to slice through and decapitate him. His eyes bled red feeling her push against him and fighting equally against his strength almost moving him off of her. He pushed back forcefully causing her weapon to dig deeper in his throat. Blood ran down the curve of her blade and dripped in drops onto her chest and into the cotton of her torn wet nightgown.

"Stop this!" He growled out into her face with his poison burning a hole in the ground besides her right ear while the other held her left wrist above her head. He knew she could possibly kill him and the thought excited him in ways he hadn't felt or understood entirely. One electric shock powerful from the heavens could destroy him this he knew yet she was connected and would suffer the blow as well. Never did he face such a prospect that his life could end without a fight. Electricity bounced through the air lifting his mane and whipping it around him. The skies growled and spun above but the funnel seemed to simply hesitate in forming. But he was stunned to find she didn't unleash whatever she was planning. The heavens roared against him to get off its mistress, but not once did it strike him.

Ororo's mind was swimming. His armor pushed into her as a reminder that they were connected by metal and flesh. If she electrocuted him she could possibly electrocute herself as well. She wanted to take his life just to end the confusion she felt. She knew she had the power to wipe him out, but she couldn't do it. Instinct was screaming too loudly in her ears that he was not her enemy and that her offense was shameful. She didn't want to believe this. "You lied." She whispered pushing against the metal and the leather with her body.

"I stand by my word when I give it." He growled out in her face making sure he had her full attention now. Her body thrashed against him and her eyes stared angrily into his eyes muttering a string of foreign words under her breath.

"I was attacked by your men! Even by your General which you witnessed!" She yelled out moving against him harshly this time rain began falling down and thunder was heard. "How do you suppose I am to feel about this? That I'm supposed to wait around for another attack! I will kill you all!"

"This Sesshomaru deals with his own problems and my men will be dealt with." He countered holding her forcefully in place. Rain dripped from his face and slid down the long strands of his hair onto Ororo's face. Ororo's smudged kohl rimmed eyes glared daggers still. "You are not my enemy!" He roared nose to nose with her.

Her heart beat madly in her chest from the moment that she thought Rin was in danger up until his arrival where he stood aiming his weapon at her ready to kill. He growled and said something that wasn't Japanese or Arabic. His voice was more primal and deeper but her attentions were currently being focused on avoiding his hot toxins that dripped dangerously close to her head. His body forced hers down and she found that she was evenly matched. Decades of training and she had been pinned by pale demon built unlike the men of her continent. Frustration set in and lightening flashed above them. She pushed again against him feeling his weight push down. Her eyes trailed the blood sliding down her blade dripping in bright red glory. She looked to see his face move closer and she backed her hand away cursing herself for not cutting his head off of his body. "Wha-" She stiffened with wide eyes staring into the heavens as everything slowed. Ice no longer fell and the skies stopped spinning but remained dark and ominous. Her eyes closed feeling his nose bury in the crook of her neck muzzling the soft flesh there. Ororo could feel the pent-up energy in his own body mirroring her own rage and she wondered who would break first. She opened her eyes as tears ran from the corners wanting electricity to strike them both to get rid of him and to destroy his memory from her mind. She moved her head to the side feeling his silky wet hair, brush against her wild wet cotton like mass.

A moment passed and they just lay there in the bloodied courtyard locked dangerously from killing the other but neither pushing to land the blow. She now was alert of his other fingers resting near her own throat that could kill her. His red eyes stared into her milky ones. "Be calm." He commanded gently.

Ororo closed her eyes controlling the storm inside before looking at him through thick wet lashes. The betrayal and anguish coated her flesh and pained her expression. The little trust they had managed to form lay in the balance. He knew she still held remnants of it as his men weren't killed and Rin was still safe with her beetle. Sesshomaru knew she wanted to believe in him. That she still held trust in him. But the few remnants of it now hang in the balance after his men's actions.

"If you're not my enemy, then prove it." She challenged, her breath coming out in huffs. "How am I supposed to know after this? What would you do if you were attacked right after finding the one you seek?" She screamed frustratingly uncertain and vulnerable. And hating herself slightly for it.

Before she could take her next breath, his lips had captured hers in a powerful hungry kiss. Her eyes grew wide, and she relaxed. The rain rolled across her face and down her cheeks. The skies grumbled with uncertainty. Sesshomaru's aura settled a bit and coaxed her own into following. It spoke to her speaking truth. Her hands slackened around her weapons and slowly one dropped. The other at his neck loosened and he pushed it away from him. Sesshomaru pulled his poisonous claws away from her throat but kept her locked in place. His lips moved against hers and without hesitation she responded. Her body relaxed completely and using her free hand that wasn't being held down, she placed it gently around his neck digging into the hair there at the base of his nape. His hand that locked hers down weakened and her hand came up to latch onto his and entwine. His other hand gripped the side of her face and roamed feeling the soft tendrils of wet hair marveling at the texture. She moaned in his mouth and her body arched into his body, feeling his claws massage her scalp. Low thunder echoed her sentiments and the feeling of rain falling began to weaken.

Sesshomaru pulled back with now deep honey gold eyes coaxing her to open her own so he could see if the tempest had calmed. The clouds began to move but a few angry ones still lingered. He looked down to her, smelling her honey scent before she opened her eyes revealing light blue gems. Her chest heaved and her lips were plump from their activity but she dare not move under the power he now had over her. He looked down at her revealing state feeling instinct swell inside of him. With a gentle sigh he pushed up off the ground and bent to lift her. He watched her latch onto him as they seemed to be in this position a lot lately. He was mindful of his armor as he adjusted her in his hold. He looked around noting the damage of the yard, a few buildings, and his injured men who were all unconscious from her assault.

"Hn?" He simply spoke clearly not pleased at how weak his forces appeared at the moment. "You didn't kill them. Why?"

Ororo shrugged in his hold. "I wanted them to see you fall. What better way to kill a man then to first destroy his hope and then his reason for being? Then they would have died as you lay motionless watching." She stated nonchalantly as some moved and staggered away clearly confused as to why their Lord held the one that gave them the beating of a lifetime. "They will live. I killed no one." She spoke quietly as he looked down at her while she surveyed the area with him.

His aura reacted to her plans. They were devious and would be effective if acted upon. But she didn't move. The fight had been pulled out of her. A tiredness and something else was at the surface. His aura searched hers gently. The silence stretched between them while the rain stopped. The groans of his men and their shouts became background noise. Sesshomaru's mind began sorting through the information and putting together the story.

His General lay silent in the grass. His men rushing to check on him. "When General Kenji awakens, he is to report to me immediately."

Ororo looked at Kenji's body with hatred. "May this serve as a reminder to never underestimate a woman, especially us scandalously dressed ones." She mocked.

Sesshomaru turned into his home smelling the fear and hostility inside his walls. A headache began to form realizing he had much work to do inside of his home to bring peace. The clouds were moving away and the sun shined brightly upon them again reminding them of the new day. He jumped upwards moving towards his chambers. They both were silent putting everything that had happened to the side to deal with the present. They landed in his private gardens that led to the entrance below his balcony. Ororo could feel them move through a barrier before landing in a very secluded area. He jumped from one platform to another before stopping on the balcony. A barrier rushed against her skin before falling away. He placed her down and took off his boots quickly outside.

He strolled into a very large and spacious room that was quite massive. Light brown furnishings and white luxury fabric was everywhere. Paintings of Inus in various settings were on the walls. A very ornately designed sword rack rested like a shrine in the corner. A white futon large enough for several people rested in the middle on one side of the room with a white blanket resting over it. A large area filled with various furs, white silks, and blankets rested in the corner. Floor lamps sat in two corners with a fire pit on the other side of the room. A floor table sat in the middle in front of the balcony doors with two plush cushions prepared for seating. He set her down on the bamboo floors and she felt dirty to be in such a place noting the luxuries inside from the large mirror along the wall to engravings of a large Inu standing watch over the land etched into the grain of two sliding doors obviously where he kept his armor and warrior's garb.

Sesshomaru watched her noting her alert aura fold around her clearly still ready for a fight. She stood in one spot dripping onto the wooden floor. The thin gown stuck to her skin while she seemed to sort through her thoughts. She made no move forward into his space. This wouldn't do. He watched her look around the room before going to find something she could use as clothing until he could get kimonos for her. He would not have her running around open to the gazes of other men. Much needed to be done in the few short remaining hours of the day. His instincts were inflamed like a fire inside of him.

To see such a female equal to his in power and strength rattled his foundation. He had fought many powerful demonesses, but never had he met one that relied on her own strength and literally came to meet him in his front yard, head on without trickery or ploys. Ororo had stood in his courtyard having made her way from wherever to stand before him and fight while also throwing his men around like rag dolls. She held back when it came to killing his men and the reasoning behind this he wanted to know. Her previous excuse did not fully resonate with him. He sensed there was more to it. Also, she kept the safety of Rin in her mind clearly because Rin was highly protected by her insects and the fight appeared to have moved outside away from her area of the castle.

Then to feel danger so close to his skin as she pressed her blade unapologetic to his throat and pushed her aura against him only stirred his Alpha instincts. The need to show her who was dominant flowed in his blood thick and heavy. He could feel her heated skin against him as he wrestled her down and made her listen to him. Even through his breastplate the heat of her body was felt. She responded to his nuzzle positively urging his actions on until he threw caution to the wind and tasted her. She tasted like a sweet peach and he found himself indulging in what she wanted to give. Even now he could still feel and taste her on his palette. The energy from the fight ran through his bones and mingled with the new sensations creating a buzz in his body. Now she stood provocatively in his chambers. Surely, she didn't know what everything that she had done meant to him. She challenged him, fought him, returned his affections, and stood before him nearly naked. He breathed heavily through his nose steeling his will. Her scent still spiked and reached out to him and he knew she was aware.

Ororo stood with her chin up in unfamiliar territory but ready to face the next occurrence. The ghost of his lips on hers was felt and she silently wished he would continue. But on the other hand, her pride swelled inside of her and fought against it. Sesshomaru turned, moving his head to encourage her to enter. She looked to see water drip onto his floor, and she cringed looking down at her ruined cotton gown. The adrenaline had started to fade, and the ramifications of her actions were brought to the forefront. The betrayal had faded leaving uncertainty in its place. She didn't operate in anonymity and so it was eating at her what he would do next. She wanted so desperately to strip from her clothes, but her bag was in his study, and she had nothing else to wear. She watched Sesshomaru go to a wall panel and slide it over revealing a whole entire compartment of various clothing and styles. She watched him scan his closet before he paused as if warring to himself. His eyes closed and with a heavy breath he continued his task.

Ororo took his heavy breath as a sign of annoyance. While his soldiers did strike against her and she had every right to defend herself, she should have just dispelled their attempts instead of picking a bigger fight with the Inu Lord. She was so quick to attack him that she felt shamed now standing in his personal quarters being treated with a kindness she did not bestow onto him. The honor was not being tested with him but of her. And this brought her shame that she had failed. She was too quick to aim her weapon at him. She was the untrustworthy one. Not him. And for this, she knew he had every right to provide a consequence. And then there was that kiss. That moment that silenced the distrust and cleared her mind. What of that?

Sesshomaru reached for a garb that he felt would suffice until he could send a servant into the market. He turned, handing it to her. He walked up to her careful to look only into her eyes and avoid the see-through material that revealed her body to him. Ororo smiled gently for once appreciating his modesty and respect for her. He held out the garment and she took it gently from his hands and held it to her making sure to not get it wet. She flexed her aura feeling nothing coming from him but contempt. She swallowed thickly before speaking. "Thank you." She whispered looking down at her hands before staring at him in the eyes. "My behavior was-"

"Warranted."

Her eyes widened at this looking at him with gratitude. Their fragile alliance was almost broken yet somehow it evolved into something much more complicated. In her home for both of their actions they would be advised to offer each other something of high value to the other for all the trouble caused and to build a solid foundation that was better than the one beforehand. Her eyes locked onto his. "Tell me, what can I do to fix this?" She asked ready to atone for her part that she played. She bowed lowly with her two arms crossing her chest in an Egyptian fashion.

Sesshomaru walked up to her to grab her arm and stop her from the act. Her head arose and he pulled her close to him. Her scent spiked calling to his beastly nature as he held her close to him as before. He spoke till he was just a breath away from her lips.

"Never lower yourself in this way." He murmured in a whisper for her ears to hear. His forehead rested on hers and he fought everything inside of him to remain honorable to her and his own kingdom. Sesshomaru sighed before letting her go and moving to put distance between them.

Ororo stood firm hugging his shirt to her with a firm grip. She watched him turn away from her in silence giving her privacy. "Rin has begged for your presence. She is upset and I believe something else has happened. Prepare yourself for her visitation and we shall speak later of this day." He motioned his hand towards a side door and left without another word.

Ororo's heart hammered wildly in her chest. Her hand reached out to him but he was already walking and moving out of the large room. Her pulse quickened and with a heavy breath. She quickly drew order to herself. She would not beg him nor chase him. What was done had passed and she would not be seen as a weak-minded fool especially one pining after desires of the flesh like a green sprite that just lost her virginity. Thinking about his final words made her still. Of what would be of conversation? Would it be about their altercation or the fact that they nearly lost themselves to whatever had possessed them?

Ororo felt as if she had a lot to do and this included seeing to his injured General and getting to the bottom of the attack. After coming up with a plan she picked herself up and with the grace of a real empress, she began bringing order to her body and to her life. She allowed herself to walk fully into the space he had motioned towards earlier before he left. It was a bathing chamber and she gasped at seeing how massive it was. His bathing chamber was two stories with a long pathway spiraling down towards the ground where a private onsen rested. Along the wall at the top was a rack of towels and soaps with the washing chamber in a corner. A pulley system sat by the side where buckets of water could dip into the onsen and retrieve fresh hot water for bathing. In the other corner sat a private relief chamber.

Longing for her home settled into her stomach. She quickly walked into the washing chamber and began preparing herself for a quick bath to avoid the signs of home sickness and stray thoughts about the Inu Lord. She scrubbed her face and skin harshly watching her skin develop a rosy undertone to the bronze color of her flesh. Her nose could still smell the scent of autumn leaves and soft confident touch of Sesshomaru's hands upon her wrists and body. She scrubbed harder growing frustrated with herself. She washed a bit longer before removing her presence from his lavatory. She put on the yakuta he had given and tied it securely around her body, wrapping it multiple times to stay put. Very quickly she collected her wet damaged clothing and sat it on top of a rock to be delt with later. She left the chamber and went on a search for Rin. Stretching her aura out she found little Rin in a compartment at the end of the hallway near his room. Ororo waked into the room to see Rin nestled in a sea of furs in a strange sort of room like the people she had seen in Manchuria. Rin was awake playing with her new friend but of course nearly broke her neck trying to get to Ororo with a hug. Ororo indulged her but grew concern feeling the heat coming from her body. Concern filled her and she fell into a natural routine of caring for the young girl.

Sesshomaru marched up his hallway to his study to begin issuing our more orders. Jaken returned to find the palace in a mess and soon his job turned into fetching every soul in the castle to be personally dealt with by Lord Sesshomaru much to his glee. Naturally both Sesshomaru and Ororo fell into duty finding that to be a safe neutral place to be among the chaos that exploded around them and within themselves.
