Cannonshots blared around them, as ships fell and unevolved ones were slain. Krabs and his crew had been called to intercept a distress call, but it had been a trap by anchovy forces, and they were pinned under enemy fire. The ship's haul was ripped open, and while the crew were faring decently, it was clear that they would not last much longer.
Captain Eugene Krabs yelled,
"Get to the lifeboats!"
The crew did just that. Luckily, there were just enough lifeboats for them all to fit on, and they pulled themselves down. As they rode away, the ship exploded, sending them across the water. The 5 sailors row'd for the next few hours until Mutton Chop yelled,
"Land ho!"
They all saw an island, and row'd to it. When they arrived on the shore, they got off the boats and walked across the beach. They then all sat down, and Jack was the first to speak, saying,
"Welp, looks like we're marooned here. What exactly do we do?"
Krabs, the de-facto leader of their group, said,
"I'll head into the jungle to see if there's any good food."
Krabs grabbed his navy mandatory pistol and walked into the jungle. The crab nervously walked along, before suddenly hearing a rustling in the bushes. He directed his gun to the bush, his arm shaking as he said,
"Come out and show yerself!"
Suddenly an anchovy soldier popped out and began opening fire on Krabs. The crustacean barely managed to get to cover in time. As he was about to try to get a good enough look to fire his gun, he suddenly heard a gunshot. He peeked up and saw a yellow sponge standing across from where the anchovy had been.
It was Tom Montgomery, a recent addition to the group. He had only been with them a few weeks, but he was decently good with a gun. He was around the same age as Jack, only a year or two older. He then told Krabs,
"Come on, let's get out of here. There's bound to be more of them."
The two men ran through the forest, looking behind themselves the whole way for attackers. They eventually arrived back with the others and explained the situation. After hearing it, Iron Eye asked,
"What are we gonna do?"
Jack said,
"I say we make a base and hold out here until we're reduced. In the meantime, we'll make an SOS in the dirt."
The others agreed to this, and Torpedo Belly then grabbed a stick and began drawing in the sand, as the others went about making other signs to call for help.

"MOVE MOVE MOVE!"
The group all ran into a bush to hide from the everlasting gunfire. Their clothes were torn and ragged. They had been on the island for days, and were all edgy. Krabs then began sniffing, and suddenly he yelled,
"10 o'clock!"
He fired at a nearby kelp tree, and out of it fell a dead anchovy. He muttered under his breath,
"They're everywhere…"
He then noticed a village. It was a long shot, but maybe they could get food. Krabs gestured at his fellow men to run, and they snuck into the village. When they arrived, the villagers all meeped at them. A confused Krabs asked the others,
"Um, do any of you guys understand this?"
Torpedo Belly replied,
"I do. Studied anchovy language in grade school.
Torpedo belly then cleared his throat and said,
"Meep meep meep meep meep, meep meep."
"Meep meep meep meep."
"Meep, meep meep meep."
"Meep meep?"
"Meep meep."
"Meep."
The anchovies then parted, letting the group into the village. Everyone was amazed, and went in. After making small talk with the villagers, the group had a mighty feast, and then went into the small huts, going to sleep. However, that night, Krabs woke up to the smell of burning wood.
He looked around, and to his horror, saw that his entire hut was burning. The villagers had ratted them out. He then heard gunshots and realized that enemy forces were shooting at them. He ran out of his tent and tried to get the others out of there. However, as he saved Iron-Eye, Krabs was pinned under a burning hut.
Panicking, Krabs grabbed the dead body of one of the villagers and used him as a shield. He then ran in the opposite direction, dragging another body along just in case. Krabs ran further and further into the jungle, until eventually he saw a gathering. To his horror, it was a group of cannibals preparing to eat a fish. He was about to run, but then they saw him.
Krabs was terrified, but then they began talking in a strange language, painting at the corpse in his hand. A confused Krabs asked,
"You….want this body?"
What appeared to be the chief nodded, and then went into his hut. When he came out, he was holding a piece of gold. Krab's eyes widened with glee, as he eagerly proclaimed,
"Of course, of course of course!"
He threw the body to them, and then ran up and grabbed the gold. Once that was done, he ran back to his group. He would keep doing this for the next few weeks, until….

They were pinned under enemy fire. The anchovy barrage kept on barreling at them. The situation looked hopeless. Mutton Chop threw a grenade, which exploded. However, the impact ended up causing a few trees to fall. Before Mutton Chop could be crushed, John pushed him out of the way, as the trees fell on him, the anchovies also setting a fire. Jack yelled,
"JOHN!"
He tried to run after him, but then Krabs yelled,
"Forget about him, we need to get out of here!"
The others were reluctant, and Jack wanted to go after John, but Krabs dragged him away. Once they got into cover, Krabs told them,
"I'm gonna go uh, get some supplies."
He then ran off, but a suspicious Jack followed behind him. After a few minutes of walking, he found Krabs giving one of the bodies to cannibals. His shocked gasp caused Krabs to turn around and see him. Panicked, he said,
"J-Jack…this isn't what it looks like!"
"Then what is it?"
"I…um….it….there was treasure here!"
Jack unsheathed his knife, muttering,
"You sick bastard…"
Seeing Jack draw his knife, Krabs did the same. After a few second staredown, Jack ran at Krabs, slashing at him. Krabs screamed as a huge gash was formed across his chest. Enraged, Krabs launched a slice at Jack, who side-stepped it and attempted to jab, but it was parried. It continued like this for the next few minutes, as rain began to pour down on them.
They stopped for a moment, staring each other down. After a moment, Jack ran at Krabs, slicing with wild abandon. Krabs parried his strikes and attempted to strike out with his own. These were parried as well, and the two continued this dance. Eugene was younger, but Jack was more experienced.
After half an hour of fighting, Jack sliced Krabs's arm, causing him to drop to the ground. Jack held the knife to his throat, as Krabs began begging.
"Please, don't kill me! who will look after me money?"
"...Look at you. Even after all this, all you can think about is money."
After a tense moment, Jack dropped his knife.
"You aren't even worth killing. Stay here and stew in your misery. But before I go…they'll have a fine place in Davy Jones Locker for you."
Jack then walked away, Krabs too mentally wounded to follow. He then began crying in a fetal position. These events had accelerated Eugene's downward spiral beyond the point of no return, and now all that was left was a crab that as time passed, would grow to value money over even other lives. And so Krabs walked off, remaining on the island until being saved a year later at the end of the war.
