Chapter 12: Explanations and Reveals

Captain John (Jake) and his crew are still practicing. They are now practicing with the Great Conqueror (Bucky). They are under a force field created within 10 miles of their home island. It's done to keep the secret identities away from the other captains.

"I still can't get over the fact that we got a major upgrade in everything. Almost everyone is confused about the prophecy. We are still safe. Maybe some people might figure it out. Who knows?" Carlos (Cubby) said.

"I think that the letter sent to Captain Colossus mentioned the prophecy. I think that he's going to figure it out due to having the prophecy book also. We'll have to keep watch for a letter sent by him." John (Jake) said.

"I agree with John. Since he has a lot of books. And that he knows a lot about legendary people and things. I think that we'll hear from him soon." Irene (Izzy) said.

Meanwhile, the other captains are practicing for the upcoming siege too. They are also discussing the prophecy. They are baffled by it.

"Hmm, I think the prophecy is trying to deceive us. Who's team has five people in it? No one. So, who are the prophecy bearers?" Captain Flynn said.

"I'm not sure since it states it'll take 5 people. And that they're excellent teammates. Who would fit that model? I don't think that Captain Jake and his crew are the chosen ones. Since they only have 4 people." Beatrice Le Beak said.

"I don't think it's them either. It's because they don't seem like they are the ones. Also they are Peter's personal crew. They don't feel like the legendary chosen ones." Captain Frost said.

"I think it's us together. Since we worked together in order to get Peter's treasure. I think we're pretty good teammates." Captain Flynn said.

"Yeah, I agree. We worked together to get Peter's treasure. So who said that we can't work together on other occasions. Who knows what is coming up." Beatrice Le Beak said.

Little did they know, they were extremely wrong about who the "mysterious team" is…

Back at the hideout, the crew just came back from practice. They deactivated their LPM side. They are now checking out letters in their mailbox.

"Guess what we just got? We just got a letter from Captain Colossus. I'm thinking that he figured it out. And I think that he's gonna keep our secret safe. I also think that he's going to help us." Jake said.

The other crew members gathered around Captain Jake. Then they opened the letter and started to read. On the letter it says:

Dear Captain Jake and his crew,

I saw the letter that the other captains sent me. It mentioned a prophecy that is about to come true. I found the prophecy in one of my books. When I read it I can't help but think it's related to the relationship between you guys and me and some of my old friends. I think that you guys found out that we are related in a special way already.

I know that you guys don't want your secret revealed. I'm going to have to say this anyway. I think that you're my son, Jake. I just realized that we both have similar outfits. We also had to fight the same villains. And your sword lifted up my ship. Lastly, you found my treasure. At first I thought it was a coincidence. But now that I think about it, everything makes sense. It can't be a coincidence that all of this happened so quickly. This made me realize that we must have some special connection.

I will keep you guy's secret. But please write or visit to explain what happened. Everyone must not notice what's going on. Everyone would freak out if they found out. We have to work this out together. Even though you guys might not want to do this together.

"Guess what we talked about earlier was correct. Captain Colossus did figure everything out. Should we tell him what happened?" Izzy asked.

"I think we should tell him. It would make the weight a lot less heavier on us. We'll go tomorrow and tell him exactly what happened recently with us." Jake said.

"I agree. It would make us worry less. And it'll be much easier if we told him." Cubby said.

The rest of the day, the crew patrolled the area, and continued to prepare for the big battle. They also continued to experiment with technology.

The next day, Captain Jake and his crew sailed out to meet Captain Colossus. The crew is very nervous about the encounter. They have an uneasy feeling about whether or not the others are going to find out. When they arrived, Captain Colossus is waiting for them.

"So, we meet again, Captain Jake. What happened on the mainland? I heard that a lot of things happened." Captain Colossus said.

"Well, a lot of things have happened lately. First things first, the legion of villains is back. This time, Lord Fathom is in the legion along with the Grim Buccaneer, Shiverjack, and Doctor Undergear. This is big trouble for everyone. " Jake said. "Secondly, we made some upgrades to our home. Mainly, we updated the security system, added a surveillance system, and added a radar system for Bucky."

"Oh dear. The legion is now our worst enemy ever. Looks like I'm going to have to help with backup support. Since this could be the most important war in the history of Neverland." Captain Colossus said.

"Yeah, but we are the keys to defeat the villains. It's a really crazy thing that happened. It all started with us discovering the prophecy. It was an accidental discovery, we thought it wouldn't have anything to do with us. But then, we had a really bad dream about how the legion defeated us by corrupting the Forever Tree. That made us realize that something is wrong. We decided to check on the Tree." Jake said.

"Then, when Peter's first letter came. We realized that the dream was a warning. We told everyone about the attack. When we arrived at where the Tree is being kept, we had a strange feeling. It turns out that the strange feeling is about the truth. The Tree then transferred itself into us and our ship. It made us turn into the ones that were in the prophecy. We had to think about how to not reveal ourselves. We also have to make up new identities for us in our extra power mode." the crew explained.

"Interesting…I never expected that the source of everything would do that. We'll have to come up with a plan to make sure that secret doesn't go out." Captain Colossus said.

"We sort of have an idea. But it is really difficult. We wanted to only activate our powers at the most desperate time. If anybody suspects us, we just tell them that we're a different team. And that the other side of us is doing something else." the crew said.

"It just might work. But I'm going to have to provide a cover story of what happened. This way, no one has to worry." Captain Colossus said.

"Ok. We'll follow the plan. You guys prepare for the battle too. You never know if we'll need your help or not." Jake said.

The crew then went back home. They now are much less nervous. The rest of the day, the crew went on patrol, checking on how the other captains were doing. They also checked on how the surveillance system is working out.
