Sonic the Hedgehog entered the room and waved. "Hello readers! I can't see you, but I know you're there! Welcome to my early birthday chapter!"

Modern Sonic peeked his head into the room; surrounded by the other Sonics and looked around, "This is so weird. So this is all a story then!?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Prime Sonic rushed up and points at the author Sonic. "Are you the puppeteer!?"

"What? No! Fanfiction doesn't let you put yourself in your story."

Boom Sonic tapped his chin. "But how would they know? Most people think we're fictional."

"That's what I said! But the author I'm partnered with still wouldn't let me!"

"Dang, that's horrible." Xtreme Sonic emphasized.

"Um, I have a question." Underground Sonic raised his hand, and looked awkwardly at the blue hedgehog next to him. "Who is this?"

Lego Sonic put his hands on his hips. "I'm Sonic, duh."

"He's a Lego." Movie Sonic explained. "I have them in my world; though the bricks don't talk..."

Classic Sonic gave Lego Sonic a suspicious stare.

"Well, why don't we get this birthday chapter started?" Author Sonic asked.

"It's our birthday?" Movie Sonic asked.

"I feel like I should've known this." Xtreme Sonic facepalmed.

Classic Sonic shook his head and Modern Sonic spoke what he was thinking. "It's not our birthday, we've got like...6 days, I think, till our birthday."

"Good to know." Prime Sonic nodded.

"So why are we doing a birthday chapter?" Boom Sonic asked.

"The author who owns this account is going to be gone an entire two weeks," Author Sonic explained. "And she doesn't trust me with her computer unsupervised. So I have to post this early."

Lego Sonic nodded. "So what are we going to be doing?"

"Are we gonna sing Happy Birthday?" Underground Sonic added.

"Um actually." Modern Sonic said. "I took the computer and looked at the rules, we can't sing on here."

"Let me see that." Xtreme snatched the computer. "It says songs that aren't in the public domain."

"What's a public domain?" Movie Sonic asked.

"And is Happy Birthday in it?" Lego Sonic asked.

"Let me see." Boom Sonic seized the computer and typed on it for a second.

Classic Sonic jumped up to peek over Boom Sonic's shoulders then gave the thumbs up before his tall alternate could confirm that yes, Happy Birthday is in the public domain.

"Prince! Start strumming that guitar!" Prime Sonic called.

Underground Sonic activated his medallion. "You ready?"

Author Sonic waved his hands, "And a one. And a two..."

Boom Sonic looked between his alternates. "Is that it?"

"I guess so." Underground Sonic answered.

"Do we just go?" Prime Sonic answered.

"I have a race to win!" Movie Sonic declared, running out.

Xtreme Sonic chased after him. "Get back here!"

"They're doing a race?" Lego Sonic asked.

"Yeah." Author Sonic answered. "You'll join them in the next official chapter for that. Until then..."

Lego Sonic vanished into thin air.

"What did you do!" Modern Sonic cried as Classic Sonic silently gasped.

"Don't worry. You'll see him at the race, when I re-introduce you all to him. Bye all of me!"

The other Sonics vanished.

"And I think that's it. Bye readers! And a happy early birthday to me!"
