Amon didn't want to be alone with Robin at the shooting range because he honestly didn't trust himself, he called Sakaki and Karasuma and ordered them to show up. Amon checked out a few different guns at the armory before they headed to the range. Once they arrived at the range Amon got out and laid the guns out on the trunk. Robin went through naming every single one, she picked up a Desert Eagle, Amon chuckled,
"That gun is not for a little kid." Amon trying to take it out of her hands, Robin gave him a glare and walked over to one of the targets. She aimed the gun toward the target and shot ten times without the gun moving in her hand, there was no harsh kickbacks. Amon nodded to Sakaki to go get the paper target,
"What happened to your ankle?" Karasuma asked as she saw the wrap. Amon glared at Robin,
"It's a very long story, Robin will be bunking with me, boss's orders." Amon explained as he grabbed the paper target from Sakaki,
"It's some really nice grouping there Robin." Sakaki explained. Robin looked at the target, most of her shots were bullseye except for two.
"I'm a little off because my eyes are still healing, and that was shooting with my weak side. I have to watch what I do with the other side. My collar bone broke and the ligaments were torn, and something called the scapula, it was cracked in several places. They want to do surgery on it next week, then they want me in a sling for up to 3 weeks and then there is therapy for it." Robin trying to remember everything the doctor had said.
"What!? Why didn't I know about this?" Amon asked,
"You wouldn't have brought me here if you did know." Robin explained. Amon sighed,
"What did I say when we left to come here? No more problems out of you." Amon growled.
"I need to practice with my weak side anyway." Robin huffed, Amon grabbed the Desert Eagle from her,
"Not with this you aren't." Amon going back to the car, they all followed him.
"So what did you shoot with in Italy?" Sakaki asked,
"Um, there were a few things, an M1911, it was heavily customized, Desert Eagles, Berettas, there were some military ones thrown in there too. You have to remember though, the stuff we had, they were old, we cleaned and maintained them every night. Once our donated ammo ran out we had to make our own bullets, we carved them out of wood and carved a rune into them." Robin shrugged.
"What happened to your ankle?" Sakaki asked, Amon glared at Karasuma,
"If you both need to know so badly, Robin's balcony crumbled with her on it last night." Amon explained with a sigh.
"What!?" Sakaki and Karasuma said in unison,
"I'm fine. I am standing here in front of you guys so I obviously survived." Robin rolling her eyes.
"So… why do you have your ankle wrapped?" Sakaki asked again,
"He twisted it when he jumped from his balcony to mine." Robin explained quietly, Karasuma was stunned,
"You, Amon, you saved little Robin?" Sakaki asked as he awed.
"Do I get my guns back from the monastery?" Robin asked,
"We can ask." Karasuma replied, Robing nodded,
"Pick your guns." Amon moving and letting them pick. Robin leaned against the car she was rubbing her eyes, Amon glanced over at her putting eye drops in, his hand came across his mother's glasses he had in his pocket, he thought that now would probably be the best time to give them to her. He walked over and leaned against the car beside her, he had his head down looking at the glasses,
"You aren't supposed to be using your eyes right now." Amon explained in a low tone.
"I don't care, I need to train, I can't fall behind in training. Already I have been in the hospital for two months without training. If I let my training slack off, it could mean life or death. You of all people should know this." Robin looking at the glasses in his hand.
"Why would you say that?" Amon asked,
"From what I have observed so far is that since Michael is pretty much chained to the office like a dog, he is the specialist. He is our eyes overhead, and you are the leader, everyone seems intimidated by you so what you say goes." Robin shrugged. Amon glanced at her,
"You seem like you are not used to shirts and jeans. What did you wear in Italy?" Amon asked,
"A big black dress, most of the stuff in the church was donated, so there were very few things that fit me, shoes are kind of weird too, I wore boots with heels on them." Robin explained as her head lifted to look at the others shooting.
"You hunted in that? Is that what you were wearing in the attack?" Amon remember seeing some tattered clothes on her.
"Yeah, it was in ruins, but regular clothes feel much better and the shoes." Robin looking at her trail boots, Amon nodded,
"Shirts and jeans will be better for you to hunt in anyway, they fit better and aren't as bulky as a dress is to move in. You look comfortable in shirts and jeans, the skirt, not so much." Amon explained, Robin raised a brow,
"Well my dress went all the way to my ankles, I don't care to show much skin." Robin rubbing her covered arms.
"I am loaning these to you. They were my mother's, use them, no more straining your eyes. I need a useful partner who can see and aim." Amon grabbing her hand and putting the glasses in her palm. Robin looked down at the glasses and when she looked up Amon was walking away with the Desert Eagle. Robin took the remaining pistol and the remaining open target, which was beside Karasuma, Robin studied the glasses, and finally put them on.
"Sounds like you guys are starting out pretty rough." Sakaki commented,
"You try living with a 15-year-old who seems not to have any modesty. She was reaching for a shirt in her closet while only wearing a towel and her towel falls to the floor." Amon explained as if he was talking about the weather. Sakaki was trying to shoot while Amon had told him of the incident, he completely missed the target and clipped a tree. Amon cut his eyes to Sakaki and shot, hitting straight bullseye,
"What the hell were you doing in her room?" Sakaki whispered,
"I was cussing her out for walking around in only a towel and trying to tell her the rules of my place. Of course that was after she walked in on me getting dressed." Amon explained as if it were no big deal now since he was at the shooting range and actually being able to shoot something, again Sakaki completely missed the target and it ricocheted off of two trees. Karasuma looked around Amon,
"What is with your aim today Sakaki?" Karasuma asked,
"I'm good, everything is fine." Sakaki laying his gun down,
"Was that everything?" Sakaki asked.
"Yeah." Amon checking his gun and taking aim again,
"Though last night when the balcony went she was only wearing an oversized black t-shirt and underwear." Amon taking a shot, Sakaki was already aiming again and shot into the ground.
"Amon, damn it!" Sakaki shouted, Amon smirked,
"That's all I promise." Amon chuckled a little,
"Sakaki! This is not a playground!" Karasuma glared at Sakaki, Robin was taking aim and wearing the glassed.
"Amon is probably distracting Sakaki by telling him I walked in on him." Robin taking her shot, Karasuma put her gun down,
"Excuse me?" Karasuma asked,
"I walked in to tell him his omelet was ready, and he was buttoning and zipping his pants up, so it's not like I saw anything. The embarrassing thing was when my towel full to the floor while reaching for shirt." Robin aiming again and shooting.
"That doesn't sound embarrassing." Karasuma shrugged,
"Amon got an eye full of my ass." Robin grumbled,
"For your information I only stared at the large scar running all the way down to your ass cheeks." Amon shouted. Robin fired with her gun and since she had glasses, when she fired her gun, the rest of the targets simultaneously lit aflame. Amon turned to glare at Robin, she was already limping off,
"Did she hurt her leg last night?" Karasuma asked.
"It wasn't last night, though I am surprised she could shoot at all today." Amon putting his gun down,
"What are you talking about?" Karasuma asked,
"The leg wound is from the attack, the arm is too, but she pretty much saved herself and me last night. She was hanging onto the broken railing when I got to her, and she climbed with her bad side just to be able to reach my hand. When I pulled her up and we tried to catch our breath, she heard the balcony floor starting to go, I was frozen in disbelief, if she hadn't pulled me with her, I would be on the ground dead." Amon watching Robin limp down the road.
"I haven't read the report on it yet. From what little she told me, it was pretty bad." Karasuma crossing her arms,
"She made the headlines." Amon glancing at Karasuma as he started to walked after Robin.
"Amon, give her a minute." Karasuma grabbing his wrist, he went back to lean against the range he had been using.
"So, she cooked you an omelet?" Sakaki asked,
"Yeah, it was to repay me for holding her all night." Amon explained,
"What?" Sakaki's eyes widened,
"She just about caught my place on fire, I had to go in and wake her up. She was reliving the whole attack on her team." Amon glancing at Sakaki, Karasuma gasped, Amon looked at her,
"I made her tell me the whole story. She fought side by side with her men and died in the pile of her men." Amon explained.
"What?" Karasuma whispered,
"She died three times before they got her stable." Amon explained,
"So, was the omelet good?" Sakaki asked,
"They both were, and she made the best damn coffee." Amon trying to picture the taste of the coffee she had made.
"They were that good?" Sakaki asked,
"Light and fluffy, though I have no idea what she put in them. The first one she made when I was still asleep in her bed." Amon explained.
"She doesn't think she did enough for her men." Amon looking in the direction she has limped in.
"My god." Karasuma whispered,
"Yeah, its been a fun night." Amon grunted out, he started walking away,
"You think we all have been in her position? The hunts we have been in doesn't hold a flame to what she just survived, take a look at the report." Amon glancing back at them as he started loading the car with the guns, unloaded of course, and getting into the car and driving off. Karasuma and Sakaki looked at each other,
"We need to know what she has been through." Karasuma stated,
"Yeah, I have never seen him like that. It's gotta be pretty bad." Sakaki watching Amon leave. Sakaki got on his bike and Karasuma got in her car and left. Amon found Robin a half a mile down the road,
"Come on, get in." Amon shouted at her.
"I am walking back." Robin explained,
"Yeah I can see you are doing a great job with that too. Get in the damn car Robin, your eyes are killing you and your leg hasn't fully healed yet." Amon explained, Robin stopped and glared at him,
"I hate that you read my medical report." Robin mumbled. She finally pulled the door open and got in and shut it back. The car was full of tension, so thick no one could cut it with a knife. Amon glanced over at her, she looking out the window,
"I need to know these things because you are my partner. With you still healing you are going to be doing office stuff." Amon explained. Robin didn't say anything,
"Are you pissed I saw the scar on your back?" Amon asked.
"I don't want anyone showing me any pity. I am not a little kid Amon, I am an orphan that got lucky enough her parents had a good friend to take me in and train me to survive anything." Robin grumbled.
"And yeah, I'm pissed you saw that scar." Robin staring at him, he glanced over at her,
"What can I do to make it right between us?" Amon asked. Robin snorted,
"You can't just make it up to me by buying me ice cream and candy." Robin growled,
"What do you want then? Do you want to see my medical history, to see my battle scars?" Amon asked.
"For starters, both. Also, I want to be treated as your partner, not just some girl or kid that can't pull her own weight, and I want my old guns back." Robin explained. He grunted, he shouldn't have gave her any ideas, he wasn't the sharing type,
"I guess that's fair, I don't know if I can get your guns back or not, besides, you said they were old, why not settle for new ones?" Amon asked.
"Because they got me through the attack, they are reliable." Robin explained in a serious tone, Amon glanced over at her,
"Don't look at me like that Amon. You don't have to worry about having your back, I take care of my guys." Robin turning her head to look at him, she saw his jaw twitch with tension.
"I already know that Robin, but you need to heal before going into the field with me." Amon glancing at her, they locked eyes with one another, just for a moment and he stared back at the road.
"You can't just expect me to not keep up with my training Amon. If I don't keep training then I will fall behind and I definitely won't be any use to you in the field." Robin explained,
"Fine, but you are going to go slow with that leg, and I will be your trainer until your strength comes back." Amon explained. Robin sighed,
"Fine." Robin grumbled,
"Look, the faster you heal the faster you can get back out there in the field." Amon explained as he glanced at her.
"Yeah, yeah." Robin grumbled. Finally they were pulling back up to his apartment, they got out and went up to the floor of their apartment.
