No Throws Allowed
A light brown skinned girl with a bright blue dress appears with her back to the camera as instrumental music starts to play. With her brown, wavy hair, she donned a high ponytail and held a mic in her right hand. She started to sing as she turned to face the camera with flirty brown eyes. It was Sandy.
"Meeting Mr. Right, the man of my dreams, the one who shows me true love, or last it seems." It's a dream like sequence as she gracefully sang her heart out. "With brown cocoa skin and curly black hair… It's just the way he looks at me, that gentle loving stare." As she sang the line, Joshua's face popped into her view.
As she sang the next line, we zoom out and see Colleen to her left and Grace to her right. Colleen and Grace both had their hair in high ponytails as well, with Colleen's reddish brown hair in a green bow to match her bright green dress and Grace's brown and blonde hair up in a pink bow to match her bright pink dress. They started to sing along with Sandy.
"Finally, you came along… The way I feel about you just can't be wrong." They all sang, with Colleen and Grace winking their green and brown eyes respectively.
"If you only knew the way I feel about you, I just can't describe it." Sandy stepped out for her solo.
"Oh-no-no." They all sang in harmony. "Finally, it has happened to me, right in front of my face
My feelings can't mistake it." They all danced along together to the words. "Finally, it has happened to me, right in front of my face
And I just can not shake it-"
"Sandy!" Record scratch. Sandy got shaken out of her daydream by Grace and Colleen, who sat right in front of her at the wooden table by the shack. Sandy looked at them, then sighed as she continued to stare at Joshua, who sat with his team at the other table across from them. Lucky for her, she had a perfect view of him right between Colleen and Grace.
"Earth to Sandy?" Grace tried waving her hand, but Sandy just kept staring at Joshua with flirty eyes.
"What happened?" Colleen asked Grace before turning her head to look at Team Chicken. "I've never seen her this calm."
"We need to get her some soda." Grace said.
At the sound of that, Sandy snapped out of it. "Soda?"
"She keeps staring at you." Micky laughed.
"It's strange, isn't it?" Joshua asked. "It's kinda weird."
"She's so into you." Micky teased.
"What is going on?" Eun asked. "Are you talking about Sandy?"
"Listen to this!" Micky was excited as he addressed Eun and Asandra. "This player kissed Sandy during the last challenge!"
"You what?" Eun jumped up, excited. "That's bananas!" She instantly grabbed the pencil from above her ear and started to jot down some notes. "Oh, the fandom is going to love this! I've read a fic or two about Sandoshua, but for it to become a reality?! EEEEE!"
"That's so fun!" Janet laughed. She was so quiet this entire time because she was nibbling on a piece of bread. It seemed like Delanie and Chef were running out of options for food.
"Sandoshua?" Joshua was disgusted at the thought. "Me and Sandy? Where does that even come from? I play baseball and she's just a hyper mess."
"You'd be surprised at the ships people come up with." Eun said. "I even saw one about you two once." She pointed at Micky.
Micky and Joshua both gagged.
"I don't agree with that but… Ha!" Micky jumped up. "Relevancy!"
Joshua, Eun, Asandra and Janet all laughed.
"Aw," Janet sighed. "I miss Luigi. He used to sneak me extra mystery meat. He would never eat it all."
"It was disgusting." Micky said. "I'm glad they don't serve that any more."
"They barely serve anything!" Joshua said. "My muscles need food! We haven't even been here long."
"I'm grateful for this bread." Janet smiled, then sighed. "I'm so hungry." She started to tear up.
"That's not right." Asandra said, rubbing her back.
Eun got on the other side and also comforted her. "I'm sorry Luigi isn't here to give you his bread."
"Me too." Janet sobbed.
"Maybe Chef is being frugal. Or it's a test." Joshua said. "We can do it! But, yeah." He continued. "There's a missing presence for sure." He made eye contact with Micky.
Confession Cam:
(Micky) "I still can't believe I was able to convince Joshua to vote out Luigi." He laughed. "Actually, I can! He's so into his teamwork mentality that I just threw that at him. Plus, Asandra is part of this 'Adventure alliance' he keeps talking about. Look, I may be short and blonde, but I'm smarter than they think." He winked.
(Asandra) "I'm just trying to be quiet for now…" She sighs. "It's a big relief that I beat this curse I had coming in, but that doesn't mean I'm winning just yet. The fact that I had to rely on Micky last night is sad. All I know is that I want to work with Eun, and our fate now depends on Micky." She shakes her head. "How did I go from swing vote to needing Micky's?"
The two teams walked up to the beach where Chef and Delanie awaited them. There were two platforms connected by monkey bars, similar to ones you would see at a school park.
"This looks super fun!" Sandy exclaimed.
"It's gonna be real fun in a second." Chef said. "Team Earth, Team Chicken." He pointed at each platform as he said their team names. "Assume your positions!" He commanded.
Delanie spoke up after a few seconds of nothing. "That means Team Earth get on the left platform and Team Chicken get on the right platform." She rolled her eyes.
The contestants did as they were told.
"This challenge has several parts." Chef said as he paced slowly from on direction to the other in front of the platforms. "The first is simple. You must get all your team members from one platform to the other in two minutes. Your time starts now."
"Huh?" Micky crossed his arms.
"Through these monkey bars?" Brendan asked.
"No shit." Ignatius said to him.
Quickly, Joshua picked up Eun and made his way through the monkey bars pretty quickly. They both landed on the other side.
"Wow!" Eun exclaimed.
Joshua looked over to the rest of his team. "I would have picked you all up if I could!"
"Shit." Grace muttered under her breath.
"That was pretty hot." Sandy winked at Joshua and squeezed his shoulder before backing up and making a run for it from the end of the platform to the other side. She leaped and flipped mid-air before landing on the opposite platform on both feet.
"Wow!" Janet exclaimed. "That was so cool!"
"I'm that girl!" Sandy laughed.
Colleen and Brendan started swinging through the monkey bars.
"Crawl on top, Janet!" Asandra said to her and motioned for her to go on the monkey bars.
"Okay!" Janet said and started crawling over, being careful to grab the bars one at a time. When she met in the middle with Colleen below her, she tried to go over her hands.
Ignatius was on one end of the monkey bars just staring at Janet. "No way we let this fat girl get to the other side." He said, then he jumped over on top of her, using her body to propel himself to the other side.
"Ah!" Janet screamed as she rolled over off the monkey bars and fell straight down into the sand.
"Oof, that means she's out." Delanie said.
"That's not fair, Chef!" Micky screamed.
Chef shrugged at him.
Micky, upset, retaliated by climbing up to the monkey bars and stepping on Colleen's hands, causing her to let go and fall.
"Ouch!" Colleen landed in the sand with a thud. "I didn't even do anything!"
Lesley, clearly annoyed by this, jumped up to the monkey bars and proceeded to throw Micky off of them. Somehow, he also lost his balance and came tumbling down.
"This is not fair!" Micky exclaimed.
"It's fair to me." Chef shrugged.
Lesley got up. "What about me? I tripped."
"Sucks to suck." Chef said.
During all this commotion, Brendan had completed the monkey bars and made it to the other side. Asandra and Grace managed to peacefully cross each other as well.
"Simple enough." Chef said. "That part was to just cut the teams down for part two. The folks who did NOT make it to the other side are LOSERS." He screamed this part in Lesley's face. "You're out of the challenge and you must stay at the eating area until the challenge is over!"
Delanie smirked. "That's Micky and Janet for Team Chicken and Colleen and Lesley for Team Earth."
"Great." Sandy frowned. "We'll miss you!"
"I'll miss you." Micky said to the rest of his team, dreading having to spend time with a hungry Janet. They all headed off.
"The rest of you," Chef spoke to the remaining seven. He looked beside him, then loudly cleared his throat. "AHEM!"
Delanie groaned in the background. She was having a hard time rolling something onto the beach. It was a big wheel with past contestant's faces on it. Joshua, Sandy and Brendan went over to help her get it next to Chef.
"I'm very intrigued on what this is all about." Brendan said, surveying the big wheel.
"I'm excited!" Asandra pointed. "Look! Carter's on it! And Phoebe too!"
"Today's challenge will be a series of mini challenges." Chef said. "One by one, you will all spin the wheel and land on a past players face. Your challenge will be inspired by a challenge that person failed to complete. Got it? We'll keep going until we get through them all."
The campers all nodded and looked at each other.
"I'll go first!" Grace stepped up. "This should be fun." She spun the wheel and it landed on Eddy. She opened her mouth a bit in shock. "Oh wow."
"First person you landed on was your ex?!" Sandy jumped up and down. "LOVE THAT!"
Delanie shuffled through some index cards in her hand. "Grace, you landed on Eddy. Eddy came on to Total Drama Adventure penniless and ended up being a successful Aftermath host, even after being cheated on by you." Grace cringed as she said that. "During the obsta-kill challenge in TDA, Eddy did so bad that he nearly cost his team the challenge. Today, your challenge is to complete what Eddy was unable to complete: a mud crawl filled with barbed wire!"
"With a twist." Chef joined in and pointed to the convenient mud crawl on the beach. "Ready?"
"I can handle that easily!" Grace said as she used her headband to tie up her hair. "Do I get goggles for the mud?"
Chef gave her a look and Delanie bursted out laughing.
"Right, we're on Total Drama." Grace said. She shook her head and ran up to the mud crawl. "Piece of cake." She got down in the mud and started crawling through.
"Go Grace!" Sandy and Brendan cheered for her.
"We just need you to go and wrestle her." Ignatius said to Sandy. "Make it a real girls gone wild moment."
"You're such a child." Brendan muttered under his breath. Ignatius looked at him and chuckled.
Grace crawled through the mud and suddenly stopped. "Ugh!" She exclaimed and picked up her hand. "Is there barbed wire in the mud too?!"
Chef smirked at the camera. "We had it way harder than that in boot camp."
Grace slowed down to maneuver her way through. "I just have to get through it quick enough for a point." She was about halfway through when her foot landed on a hidden button in the mud that caused sand to be chucked at her from both sides. The speed of it all startled her and she jumped, getting herself hooked on some barbed wire. "That's not good!"
"Someone had to help Eddy out of that when he got stuck!" Eun gulped.
"No helpers for her." Chef objected.
Grace pulled herself off of the barbed wire, ripping her skirt off in the process. "You're so lucky I'm wearing shorts underneath…" She groaned as she quickly made her way out of the crawl despite getting all scratched up while doing so.
"And that's a point for Team Earth!" Chef exclaimed.
Grace rejoined the group, looking dirty and beat up.
"Now that's a look!" Sandy giggled and helped wipe some mud off of Grace's face.
Confession Cam:
(Grace) She is still dirty all over. "Eddy, if you saw that, I hope it made your day." She chuckles. "Do you remember when I asked you what clothes would make you a better competitor?" She laughs. "I've come a long way."
Eun stepped up for Team Chicken.
Confession Cam:
(Eun) "This is nuts, I'm still here!" She smiles. "But if we lose another time, I might not be so lucky! I have no choice but to do everything Chef throws at me!"
Eun landed on Manny and immediately her eyes brightened up with a smile. "Manny! How exciting!"
"Manny came in as Mr. perfect," Delanie read. "But both times he competed, he was bested by villains."
"So true!" Eun laughed.
"Your challenge is to find a deer we've hidden on the island." Delanie said. "You'll have 15 minutes to bring it here."
"That's two challenges in one." Joshua pointed out.
"And I don't care!" Chef mimicked his tone.
As Eun got ready to go, Joshua made sure to whisper to Asandra.
"Last night was a little weird." Joshua said. "I still stand by the Adventure alliance, which you are a part of."
Asandra smiled at him. "Thanks for standing by that. I know it wasn't easy to vote off Luigi instead of me or Eun."
Joshua smiled. "I did it for the team. I just hope we're on the same page now."
"You got it." Asandra nodded. "You helped me beat the curse, I'm indebted."
Joshua smiled at her, then put his attention back on Eun.
"I'm off!" Eun said. She bolted towards the lake, passing the eating area on the way. There, Micky and Janet were sitting at a table chatting away.
"And what else?" Micky asked, unenthused.
"And even my pillows in the pillow cases!" Janet exclaimed. "Everything is green!"
"I can't believe you have an all green room." Micky said, clearly losing his patience.
"You HAVE to try my green fried chicken!" Janet said. "It's the one thing I can cook really well."
"I was never a cook." Micky said.
"I love it!" Janet said. "Eating is amazing, but eating something you made is INCREDULOUS. My green fried chicken-"
"Is incredulous." Micky interrupted. "Great, can't wait to try it." He said dryly.
"Speaking of food, I'm so hungry." Janet groaned. Her stomach made a big grumbling noise. "Can we have lunch yet?"
"We barely had breakfast." Micky said.
"But I'm so hungry!" Janet cried.
"I'm sure they'll feed us soon." Micky said.
"I'm so hungry!" Janet repeated as she started tearing up.
Colleen and Lesley approached their table and sat with Micky and Janet.
"Hey guys!" Colleen smiled.
"Sup?" Lesley nodded at them both.
"Hunger!" Janet sobbed and held her stomach.
"Annoyance." Micky said.
"Well, why don't we distract ourselves with a game!" Colleen suggested.
"What game?" Micky asked.
"I don't know, let's start with I spy." Colleen looked around. "I spy with my little green eyes, something purple."
"The purple paint stain on my shirt." Lesley quickly guessed and pointed at it on himself.
Colleen smirked and nodded. "You got it."
Confession Cam:
(Micky) "Thank you Lesley and Colleen for joining us at that table. I was about to rip the little hair I have on my head off."
"I got it! I got it!" Eun screamed as she ran out of the forest toward the beach with a very irritated deer chasing after her. She held one hand up with some berries in it. "I had to take his food but he's here!"
The deer continued to chase her along the beach and everyone just watched. Eun screamed and ran into the water as a last ditch effort and the deer stopped. Chef eventually had the deer captured and continued the challenge.
"That's one point per team so far." He said. "Up next?"
"Iggy!" Sandy exclaimed.
"Ignatius." He corrected her, clearly annoyed. He stepped up to the wheel and gave it a big spin. It landed on Jay.
"How fitting." Grace said. Ignatius smirked at her and she rolled her eyes.
"I gotta deal with this idiot again?" Ignatius chuckled.
Delanie gave him the challenge. "Jay competed in both Total Drama Adventure and Total Drama Holiday. Notorious for being a terrible villain, Jay cheated his way through the game and had no remorse over-"
"I really don't care." Ignatius said. "He was a loser and I voted him out when I played with him. Just tell me the challenge."
Delanie looked at Chef, who paid her no mind. She angrily looked back at Ignatius. "Fine. Jay's big fear in Total Drama Adventure was fire."
Ignatius smiled. He loved fire.
Delanie continued. "In Total Drama Holiday, he let his rivalry with Manny get the best of him and it caused them to fight on a boat. They crashed it and lost the challenge for their team."
"I was there." Ignatius said, trying to hurry her.
"Your challenge is to drive a burning motor boat around the island before it sinks completely." Delanie said. Ignatius smiled. "You must work together with Grace." He frowned.
"What?!" Grace objected. "Now why am I in this?"
"You're enemies." Delanie said. "Darn it, don't any of you pay attention?! Just go!" She pointed at a motor boat close to the beach and waited for them to get on it before lighting a match and throwing it in.
Ignatius instantly got ready to go. Grace got into position too. They way this motor boat was built made it so that it couldn't go without two different people on the controls.
"Let's get this over with." Grace said nervously.
Ignatius was unfazed. "Fire doesn't bother me." He hit the pedal and they started speeding.
"At least the island is small." Grace said.
"Put your foot on the gas, girl." Ignatius said.
"How do you think we're moving?!" Grace shouted at him.
"You are unbearable." Ignatius said.
"Don't make me throw you off a cliff!" Grace snapped.
"It's hilarious how mad I get you." Ignatius laughed.
"I hope your dreads burn off." Grace proceeded to ignore him.
The boat burned slowly. They were able to make it around the small island quickly, securing another point for Team Earth.
"Another point for Team Earth." Chef said from several yards away. He was relaxing on the beach while Delanie did most of the work. He looked up at the camera. "What? Chris does this all the time!"
Up next to spin was Joshua. He landed on Nolan.
"This one will be pretty quick." Delanie said. "Nolan participated in Total Drama Seasons. He had an interesting strategy to say the least. He used the roll of a die to make every decision in his game. It took him far enough, but it wasn't enough. How far will it take you?" She pulled out a die. "Your fate in this challenge will be decided by a die roll using Nolan's formula. If you get the wrong number, you will lose the challenge and have to exit and join the other losers in the dining area. If not, you get the point and stay here."
"No way that's a challenge." Grace protested.
"Some are harder than others." Delanie pointed at the wheel.
"Seems simple enough." Joshua said. He took the die and rolled it. He looked up at Delanie. "It landed on six."
Delanie looked at her card. "According to Nolan's rules, you stay! Point for Team Chicken!"
"That took no effort at all." Joshua said.
"Good for us!" Asandra exclaimed.
"We're killing it!" Eun said.
"We just started." Sandy said. "I love a good competition!"
"They're finally giving us some." Ignatius said.
Brendan stepped up next and put his things to the side. He spun the wheel and it landed on Souun.
"OMG!" Eun screamed. "Souun! What even happened to him?! He disappeared off the face of the Earth."
"I'll let you know what the card says." Delanie smirked. "Souun participated in Total Drama-" She stopped and sniffed. "Is something burning?" There was smoke.
Everyone's attention locked onto what was smoking. It was Ignatius, who was setting a notebook on fire.
Brendan gasped and ran towards him. "MY NOTEBOOK!"
Ignatius just laughed. Eun gasped. Grace stared angrily.
Confession Cam:
(Ignatius) "I've been waiting to get my hands on that mother (bleep)'s notebook." He laughs. "Did you see the look on his face?!" He shrugs. "Why? Cause I felt like it. I haven't set something ablaze in a while."
(Eun) She is visibly upset. "Why would Ignatius do that?! Destroying someones art is a new low. Poor Brendan!"
(Grace) "Ooh, that menace!" She has her fists shut tightly. "He needs to be stopped. Why I aught to-" She pauses, then grins. "It's time for him to get what he deserves."
Ignatius tossed the burning notebook at Brendan, who let it fall into the sand. He kicked sand over it to stop it from burning.
Brendan looked like he was about to cry as he picked up the notebook and flipped through it. Some pages were completely burned. "My poetry…" He uttered.
"That was brutal." Sandy whispered to Joshua.
Brendan held his notebook tight and sadly looked down. "I quit."
"What?" Grace ran up to him. "What do you mean, you quit?"
"QUIT?" Chef stood up.
"I mean this challenge." Brendan said. "I'll go join the losers."
"You can't be serious." Ignatius chuckled. "It's just a stupid notebook."
Brendan looked away and Grace turned her attention to Ignatius. "I wish I could wipe that smug look off your face." She stomped towards him. "What is your problem?!"
"I like to burn things." Ignatius smirked in her face. "What's yours?"
"You!" Grace furiously pushed him.
He stepped back. "Why are you such a bitch? Your dislike for me? Hang it up! That was two seasons ago." He then noticed Brendan walking away towards the dining area. "Cya later, bro!"
"Not cool." Sandy gave him a side-eye. "He's on our team!"
Ignatius just shrugged.
"Cool it!" Chef stepped in. He watched Brendan walk away.
"Maybe we should take a little break." Delanie said.
Confession Cam:
(Chef) "Quitting MY challenge?" He is obviously offended. "That won't do you good for the rest of this game, boy." He points his finger at the camera.
(Brendan) He doesn't say anything. He just sadly looks through his half-burnt notebook.
Brendan joined the other four at the table. They were playing with cards.
"Is the challenge over?" Janet asked. "Can we eat now?"
"No." Brendan said quietly. "I'm just out of it."
"Is everything okay, bro?" Lesley asked.
Brendan just sighed. Everyone else looked at each other and got the message. Janet broke the silence. "I can't take it anymore!" She got up and started heading towards the food shack. "I'm too hungry to continue."
"So you're going to go steal some food?" Micky asked.
"It's urgent!" Janet said. She went in behind the counter and looked through some cabinets. She leaned over and opened a small fridge and started to go through it. "I found some ice cream!" She exclaimed and tore it open.
"Bring us some!" Colleen said. "We never get anything sweet."
"What are you doing?!" Delanie appeared on the scene, causing Janet to drop the ice cream.
"I-I got hungry!" Janet said.
"You're always hungry." Delanie said. "I came to give you all some lunch."
"Thank you!" Janet smiled, melted ice cream dripping off her fingers.
"And after that, you're all banned to the tents." Chef added, stepping in.
They all groaned. The five losers ate their little sandwiches and headed to the tents. Colleen and Lesley went into one tent and Janet followed Micky into another. Brendan decided to stay to himself.
Confession Cam:
(Brendan) He sighs again.
Before reconvening for the challenge after lunch, Grace pulled Sandy aside. "I need to talk to you."
Sandy shook her head. "I'm still for the girls! Don't worry! I won't let Joshua get in the way of that!"
"What? No." Grace put her hands up in front of her. "It's about Ignatius. He's overstayed his welcome."
Sandy nodded. "Totally! What he did to Brendan was so bad!"
"Exactly!" Grace nodded. "So hear me out. What if we do bad on purpose? That way, we can lose and get him out once and for all."
Sandy tilted her head. "You want to throw the challenge?"
"Just to get Ignatius out of here!" Grace said. "We have a numbers advantage anyway. I think it would make our team better, honestly."
Sandy shook her head. "No way! I did not come here to throw a challenge!"
Grace shushed her. "Sandy! We will just win the next one. I don't care, I want Ignatius out of here."
Sandy was hesitant. "I don't know, Grace. I put my all into every challenge. You know that!"
Grace nodded. "Fine. We'll vote him off when we lose fair and square."
Confession Cam:
(Grace) She is annoyed. "Sandy is all about girl power and teamwork… Well why can't we work together to get this sexist pig out of here?!" She crosses her arms. "I guess I'll just have to do it on my own."
(Sandy) "What's wrong with Grace? I, Sandy Vines, refuse to throw any challenge!" She laughs. "That's not what I'm about! No Throws Allowed!"
"Alright, who's next?" Delanie asked once the six competitors were back at the beach.
"It's my turn!" Sandy exclaimed and she jumped at the opportunity to spin the wheel. She gave it a nice long spin and it landed on… herself. "Ooh!" She jumped up and down. "Bring it!"
"Sure…" Delanie responded. "You're challenge is to…" She looked up from the card and smirked. "Wrestle an alligator."
"Again?" Sandy snapped. "How exciting!"
"I can't believe she's excited to wrestle an alligator." Joshua said.
"Did she not already do that successfully?" Grace asked.
"Last time, Brendan had to save me." Sandy said. "But this time I'm biting back harder!"
"This'll be good." Ignatius said.
"They don't pay me enough for this." Delanie groaned as she rolled in a tank full of dirty water. Nobody could see the alleged alligator inside. "You have to grab the alligator in a headlock and stay like that for fifteen seconds."
Sandy nodded and mentally prepared herself. She grabbed a hold of her wavy hair and wrapped it up in a bun. She rolled up her imaginary sleeves and did the "I'm watching you" gesture with her two fingers towards the tank. "I'm so ready." Then, without hesitation, she ran up to the tank and leapt inside with a big splash. After disappearing underwater, everyone else ran up and looked nervously on. All but Ignatius, who watched with that same smirk on his face.
After about 10 seconds, bubbles started to come up from the water. "I think you need to help her!" Grace shouted.
Suddenly, Sandy spun out of the water with a swift wave, holding an alligator under her arm. "He's a feisty one!" She muttered as she shook with it to keep it there. "I'm not letting you get away this time."
Everyone started to cheer for Sandy, even Team Chicken.
"Five, four, three, two, one." Delanie counted down.
"You did it!" Grace cheered.
"I did it?" Sandy asked between jabs to pull the alligator closer.
"Team Earth gets another point!" Delanie said.
Sandy let go of the alligator and quickly averted her head from the big angry chomp the alligator proceeded to take. "Oof, got him upset!" She exclaimed as the alligator lunged at her, but was quickly stopped by Chef, who had grabbed it by the tail with one hand and then by the mouth with the other. He brought the alligator to him, eye to eye, and gave a menacing look that scared the alligator and got him to calm down. He then threw the alligator back in the water and rolled the tank away.
Confession Cam:
(Sandy) "Did you see that?!" She's so excited. "I did it! And everyone was cheering for me. Not bad for Sandy Vines. But of course, I knew I could do it." She winks.
(Joshua) "That girl… Is impressive."
"I guess it's my turn now." Asandra said, stepping up to the wheel. She gave it a spin and it landed on Phoebe.
Delanie looked over the card. "Phoebe was a contestant in Total Drama Holiday. One challenge she failed was during the Seollal Holiday round."
"I remember that day!" Eun interjected with a big smile. "Korean New Year."
"I remember it all too well." Grace shook her head. "We didn't compete." She glanced over to Ignatius.
Delanie gave her a side-eye. "Yes. Anyway, Asandra will have to win the challenge Phoebe didn't: Neolttwigi…" She pronounced it terribly. "AKA the seesaw jump challenge." She then pointed to a seesaw conveniently placed on the beach.
"Okay…" Asandra nodded. "But against who?"
Delanie looked at Sandy, Grace and Ignatius. "One of them. We'll give you the luxury of choosing your opponent."
"This should have been mine!" Eun said sadly.
"May I remind you that you're the smallest one here." Joshua said. "We wouldn't want you to get hurt."
"And I did flop last time I tried it." Eun held her head down. "You're so right."
"Um…" Asandra looked at her limited array of options. Sandy, the hyper girl who would knock her off easily, Ignatius, the insane pyromaniac, and Grace, who would be a fierce competitor. "I guess I'll have to go with Grace."
Grace stepped up. "Well, it's fitting. I definitely would have wanted to compete in this."
Confession Cam:
(Asandra) She gulps. "I hope I made the right decision."
Grace and Asandra both stepped onto the seesaw. They had a few moments to look at each other. Asandra smiled at Grace, but got a serious look back, causing her to make a serious face as well.
"Ready girls?" Delanie asked. They both nodded. "Then go!"
Asandra got the first jump. She took a deep breath and jumped up high. When she came back down, Grace was prepared. They started going back and forth, both becoming more and more determined to knock the other one off.
"You got this Grace!" Sandy smiled.
"Go Asandra! Make us proud!" Eun cheered. Joshua smiled at her with approval.
"Come on toots." Ignatius chuckled.
Grace's determination turned into anger. She looked like she was contemplating something, as her jumps got weaker. Within the next few back and forth's, Grace's knees buckled and she fell right off the seesaw!
"Asandra gets the point for Team Chicken, tying it up!" Delanie announced.
Confession Cam:
(Sandy) Curious look on her face. "Is it just me or did Grace look like she kind of just... gave up?"
The designated losers were all still confined to their tents. Lesley had used a lot of time to put paint on paper. He was very focused on what he was doing. Colleen was just sitting across from him.
"Are you ever gonna let me see what you're painting?" Colleen asked him.
"I know you want to see my beautiful painting." Lesley chuckled. He put his paintbrush down and started to swab at the paper with a napkin.
"You've been focused on that for a while now." Colleen said. "Of course I want to see it."
"Calm down, beautiful." Lesley winked at her. "It's gonna be for you."
"Is it a portrait?" Colleen asked.
"Don't be so vain." Lesley said playfully. "It's better."
Colleen crossed her arms. "Well if I could see it I'd tell you the truth!"
"Don't get too sassy now." Lesley smirked. He then signed his name on the corner of the paper and flipped it over so Colleen could see. It was a beautiful little painting of a field of flowers and a light blue sky. You could see the silhouette of a girl, presumably Colleen, in the field.
"Wow." Colleen was in awe. "That's so pretty. Are those hydrangeas? How'd you know I like hydrangeas?"
"I'm a great listener when I want to be." Lesley smirked.
Colleen blushed. "And you did that on paper!" She smiled.
Lesley was proud of himself. "Years of perfect practice."
"You're so full of yourself, you ass." Colleen laughed and playfully nudged him.
"You think you're God's gift to the universe?" Lesley playfully nudged back, but he had much stronger force.
Colleen pulled him down with her and he landed on top of her. She blushed. He was speechless for a second, then sat back up and helped her up. "You almost made me break." He laughed and flexed his arms.
"Oh no!" Colleen frowned and looked down at her lap. He had landed over the painting and it smudged.
This clearly annoyed him and he took a deep breath. "Ugh."
"I'm sorry!" Colleen said. "And it's all over your shirt!"
"My tank top?" Lesley chuckled. "It's just a fresh stain that goes along with the old ones. All good. Too bad for the painting though."
"I'm sorry." Colleen repeated.
"Easily can make you a newer, better one." Lesley shrugged. He then laid down.
Colleen laid next to him and they both looked up at the top of the tent. After a few seconds of silence, she spoke. "When did you first start doing art?"
Lesley chuckled. "I was so young. I mean, we all did the arts and crafts thing as little kids, right? I think I was around twelve when I really started to take it serious. I was poor. I mean, I still am, but I resorted to art as a substitute for the things I couldn't afford."
"Wow." Colleen said. "Did you just get vulnerable with me?"
Lesley rolled his eyes. "Alright, let's not get too emotional about it." He looked over at her and smirked.
She looked over at him and smiled. "Vulnerability is not a bad trait to have."
Meanwhile, Micky and Janet were in another tent. Micky looked visibly frustrated.
"Earth to Janet!" He said.
The poor girl was spaced out. "Hmm?"
"I asked who you think we should vote out next?" Micky asked.
"I don't know!" Janet said. "It's such a hard question!"
"Not really." Micky said. "We only have three options."
"Not Joshua!" Janet said. "What does he think?"
"You don't think at all." Micky said.
"I'm thinking about food!" Janet replied.
Micky groaned. "You're useless. It's always Micky that has to carry, haha, like the badass I know I am."
Confession Cam:
(Micky) He has a smug look on his face. "I'm running the show on Team Chicken!" He proudly proclaims. "Josh thinks he's the leader, but I got him to vote out Luigi last round! Janet is clueless and the other girls need me to survive." He laughs. "This is so fun!"
There is a montage of Joshua, Asandra, Eun, Sandy, Grace, and Ignatius continuing to spin the wheel and complete challenges. Joshua and Asandra complete about half of their challenges with Eun carrying the team to success. Grace is clearly throwing challenges and Sandy is bothered by it. Ignatius just doesn't seem to care.
Delanie looked at her card. "That's fourteen points for Earth and fourteen points for Chicken… And we've ran out of contestants to land on." She glanced over at Chef, who was enjoying a Moscow Mule. He looked over and noticed her staring.
Chef got up and approached everyone. "So we need a tiebreaker, huh? Well I was getting tired of being here anyway!" He improvised on the spot. "Joshua, Eun and Asandra, you three will face off against Sandy, Grace, and Ignatius on the platform." He pointed. "It's the ultimate challenge. Last person standing wins it for their team."
"Oh no." Eun looked down at herself.
"We can do this." Joshua said triumphantly. He got on the platform and helped Eun and Asandra up.
"Go!" Chef announced.
Without hesitation, Sandy lunged forward and swiftly pushed Eun off the platform.
Eun landed in the sand. "I didn't even have time to breathe!"
"Sorry, girl!" Sandy smiled, then turned her attention to Joshua. "Hey, handsome."
Joshua nervously smiled. "Sandy."
"I've been thinking about you lately." She walked up to him and their hands locked in front of each other. Neither of the two were making and effort to push the other off. "After that surprise kiss last time."
"Surprise kiss?!" Grace acted so shocked and tripped herself off the platform. "Oh no! Looks like I'm out. Darn it."
Ignatius rolled his eyes at her.
"I'm flattered." Joshua said to Sandy. "But…"
"But!" Sandy let go of him. "Am I too much for you?!"
Joshua looked over at Ignatius, who had lit a match before tossing it right at him. "Crap!" He jumped out of the way, but tripped over himself and fell in the sand. The match fell in the sand right next to him and went out. He was annoyed.
"Uh oh." Asandra looked over at Sandy and Ignatius.
Sandy smiled. "Fair and square!" She lunged at her, but Asandra jumped out of the way and then lunged back. Soon they were wrestling each other. Ignatius watched with amusement.
"Two bitches fighting… We need some mud!" He said.
Grace rolled her eyes at the comment.
After a minute, Ignatius shook his head and went up to the two girls. He pried them off of each other and shoved Asandra off the platform.
"Team Earth wins!" Delanie announced.
"Again." Chef said. He looked over at Team Chicken. "I'm getting tired of seeing ya all. Get it together!" He headed away from the scene.
Joshua, Asandra and Eun sadly looked at each other.
Confession Cam:
(Joshua) He frowns. "To the campfire… Again."
(Sandy) "That was a close one!" She still has the adrenaline rushing through her. "After all that throwing Grace did, we still managed to win! Take that!"
(Grace) She sighs. "There's always next time, right? Ugh, why is my team so much stronger than theirs?"
The five remaining members of Team Chicken sat at the campfire ceremony with a disappointed Chef staring back at them. Delanie was next to him with the tray of four marshmallows.
"This team is terrible." Chef commented first and foremost. He started walking slowly amongst them. "I don't get how a team can be so BAD at this game! We haven't even got to the hard stuff yet!"
"The other team hasn't even been to a ceremony yet." Delanie rolled her eyes at them before Chef's glare got her back into position. She rolled her eyes again when he turned away.
"Not to be that teammate, but I do feel like I'm carrying this team." Joshua spoke up.
Micky chuckled.
"I wouldn't say that!" Asandra pushed back. "We all have our strengths. I mean, Eun carried us today! She completed the most challenges."
Eun smiled at the recognition.
"Okay, fair." Joshua said. "But in my experience, teamwork-"
He was interrupted by Micky. "You keep pushing your teamwork thing but we keep losing!" He pointed at everyone around him. "Look at us! We are a weak team! THE weaker team. We have to come up with a different strategy."
Joshua frowned. "You didn't even help us at all today."
"We all have our weaknesses." Eun interjected. "But we have to remember our strengths too, like Asandra said. Maybe we should start thinking outside the box if we want to start winning!" She then opened her little notepad and started jotting things down.
Joshua sighed. "Unfortunately, five will become four tonight. If I had the choice, Luigi would still be here. We could have used his strength to win the tiebreaker."
Micky rolled his eyes. "Well he's not here."
"Anyone wanna add anything else?" Chef asked. He looked at Janet, who hadn't said a word. She was busy nibbling on something.
"It's our third consecutive time here." Joshua said. "What more can we say?"
"Go vote." Chef ordered.
Confession Cam:
(Joshua) "Eun, it's time for you to go. It's not personal, just strategic."
(Asandra) "I hope beating the curse really means beating the curse."
(Eun) "Let's hope my lucky streak continues."
(Janet) She's nibbling on some bread. "I'm still so hungry."
"Time to send another underrated contestant home." Chef announced. "Marshmallows go to… Joshua. And Micky."
The boys caught their marshmallows.
Asandra, Eun and Janet remained.
"Ladies, it's time for one of you to leave this game for good." Chef said. "And you can't ever come back!"
After a bit of a pause, he pointed at Asandra. "Congratulations on beating the curse girl. You're safe."
Asandra was so excited to receive that marshmallow.
"The last marshmallow is going to…"
Eun gulped. Janet teared up.
"Eun." She received her marshmallow.
Joshua's jaw dropped.
Janet shed some tears. "I got voted out?"
"Sorry." Asandra whispered.
Micky put a hand on her back. "You get to go eat now!"
Janet instantly perked up. "I GET TO GO EAT NOW!" She cheered. She ran to the trapdoor of shame. "I'm ready to eat! I'm starving! I'll never come back again… Unless its to judge another cooking contest!" She giggled.
Delanie pressed the button and Janet sunk down, stuck.
"Why wasn't that built with her in mind?" Chef complained. "These producers, man." He marched up to Janet and struggled for a moment before pushing her down. "Heh, at least I'm making the big bucks now."
The four remaining members of Team Chicken left back to the campground. Micky had a smirk, Asandra and Eun were both relieved, and Joshua was still in complete shock.
Chef looked at the camera. "This is only the beginning, folks. Things are about to get REAL tough!" He growled, then smiled. "Cya next time!"

Joshua is frustrated, talking to Micky. "We need to do what's best for the team!"
Micky laughs in confessional. "He's mad but I don't care!"
Colleen talking to Sandy. "I didn't want this to happen again, but he's all I think about."
Chef is back in his Basic Straining uniform. "I'VE BEEN WAY TOO EASY ON YA ALL!"
Sandy is passed out on the ground with Delanie checking her out. "Do we have a medical team?!"
Grace reading a small parchment. "This is an epic game changer!"
