When I saw the Super Mario Bros Movie in theaters, I was disappointed. Mainly because Waluigi wasn't in it, but also for other reasons. Though, maybe I set my expectations too high, thinking it would be the movie to "save Illumination", as the second time I watched it, I liked it way more. However, for this rewrite, imagine the original movie, but with these changes.

"Where to go? What to do? What is the best possible action for my life? Is there a best possible action for my life? What is my dream?" These are questions one must answer at some point; it's normal. But how does one go about doing so when literally nothing about their life is normal?

Luigi Masciarelli is thankful for the monotonous life that he has as a journeyman plumber in New York City. He makes good money, and his family always has his back. Predictability means stability, and he never has to confront his demons. How will that change when a certain auburn-haired princess enters his life? Will he run away or be tougher than the rest?
