"Be nice for your aunty!" I called as Sting, Ryos and Rini ran to Minnie and Romeo on the other side of the room. I joined Macao and Wakaba at a table, the fire mage and I talking about the trouble of raising young kids. Wakaba joining in here and there with his own comments about how whipped we were. Mizuki was calmly drinking something when Mira raced down the stairs. "Master!" She cried. "I don't know what's happened, but one of the S-Class Quests is missing!" Mizuki promptly spat out her drink as the guild went silent.
"Say what?" Wakaba questioned. "One of the jobs from the second floor is missing?"
"But the jobs up there are S-Class Quests." Macao added. "Anyone know who took off with it."
"Well, I'm here, Erza just went out to do some shopping." I counted off my fingers, "Mystogan took a regular request when he came in, I can smell Laxus upstairs. Someone had to have stolen it. They'd have to be really stupid to do so."
"I know." Laxus drawled from the top floor. "A little blue cat flew up here and ripped it off the board."
"It was Happy?" Mira asked.
"He must have stolen it for Natsu and Lucy!" Wakaba realised.
"That's crazy, what are they thinking!" Macao exclaimed.
"They've got some nerve taking on an S-Class Quest." Alzack commented.
"I don't know if I'd call it nerve, but it's definitely dumb." Bisca countered.
"That's a serious breach of the rules." Laxus stated. "Hey Gramps, a stunt like that'll get you kicked out of the Guild, am I right? Not that it matters. It's not like those three losers are gonna make it back alive from an S-Class Quest."
"Laxus, if you knew, why didn't you stop 'em?" Mira demanded, approaching him on the second floor.
"Oh, lighten up. All I saw was a blue cat flying off with a piece of paper in it's mouth, trying to act all sneaky. I had no idea it was Happy. Besides, Natsu's not cleared for S-Class. I never dreamed he'd break the rules. You haven't given me that look in a while…"
"This isn't good." Master Makarov muttered. "Well, which job was it?"
"For lifting the curse on Galuna Island." Mira said. My eyes widened, and I stood quickly.
"Wait, Galuna Island?" I repeated. "That's where they're going?"
"What is it, Yui?" Minnie asked, turning to me. I clenched my fists.
"Master, let me go and find them." I requested, turning to look at him. He was calm, but I could tell he was curious. "I know that island like the back of my hand, it was dangerous before the curse but now, I don't know what's going to be there. I'm the best equipped to go."
"I'm coming too." Gray said, standing as well.
"Very well." Master Makarov decided. "You two go and retrieve them." Gray and I looked at each other and nodded.
TIMESKIP
After gathering everything we needed for the tip, Gray, Mizuki and I followed my nose to find the trio. We came upon them in Hargeon, waiting at the docks for someone. Gray put his hands on their shoulders. "We found you~" He sung. The two wailed.
"It's Gray and Yui!" Lucy gasped.
"Mizuki's here too!" My feline companion cheered.
"What are you doing here?" Natsu demanded.
"Master Makarov found out about the S-Class Quest." I informed them, crossing my arms. "I volunteered to bring you back and he tagged along."
"Why, we're not in any danger yet!"
"If you come back with us now, you'd probably avoid being Expelled."
"Expelled?" Lucy wondered.
"I don't care, I'm going on this S-Class Quest." Natsu told me.
"Natsu, you don't even know what is on that Island!" I told him, un-crossing my arms. "It's dangerous, you need to come home, now. When Erza finds out about this she'd have your heads. She knows about the dangers of the Island too, it's not safe."
"Please Gray, you've got to save me." Happy pleaded, flying over to the black-haired man and hiding behind him. "I told them this was a bad idea but they forced me to come along!"
"You are such a liar!" Lucy accused.
"I've got to prove my power to Erza, so like it or not, I'm doing this!" Natsu stated.
"Gray and I have strict orders from Master Makarov to bring you home!" I retorted. "I'll drag you back to Fairy Tail by your ears if I have to!" My fist lit with silver flames. "I don't want to hurt you Natsu but if you do this I'll have no choice."
"I'd like to see you try!" Natsu's fist was encased in crimson flames.
"Excuse me?" A voice asked. I turned to see a man wearing a bandanna. I paled. Bobo. "But are you Wizards?" The others turned to him. "Have you come to lift the curse on the Island?"
"Yeah!"
"Well, maybe." Lucy said.
"That's not gonna happen at all!" I retorted.
"Get in." Bobo said.
"What?" Lucy questioned.
"Seriously?" Natsu asked.
"No way!" Gray and I shouted. I felt something make contact with the back of my head, and I blacked out.
TIMESKIP
I woke up on the sandy shores of a beach. It was sunny, and I squinted my eyes open. I groaned, sitting up and pressing my hand to my head. "Yui!" A voice wailed, and a soft body crashed into me. Mizuki buried her head into my chest as she cried. "Mizuki was so worried about you! There was a Tsunami and it wiped the boat out and ots been hours and after Natsu knocked you out Mizuki didn't thin you'd awake up!"
"I'm ok." I assured my feline friend. Gently rubbing her head. We met up with the others after tracking them down.
"Looks like we made it you guys!" Natsu cheered.
"We're lucky that wave washed us ashore." Lucy said.
"Well, I don't knot if I would call it lucky." Gray retorted.
"I can't help but wonder what happened to te guy who brought us here. Right after he told us about the curse, he vanished."
"Forget about that stuff for now, and let's go exploring!" Natsu shouted.
"NO!" I barked at him. "You've been on the Island for thirty seconds and I've been here for five years. This place is dangerous."
"Apparently there's only one village on the entire Island." Lucy reported. "The Village Cheif is the one who originally put in the request. So I guess we need to try and find him."
"Not so fast." Gray spoke up.
"Give it up, Gray, you can't take us back to the Guild now that our boat's been destroyed." Natsu said.
"You're right, I'm coming with you. There's no way I'm gonna let the two of you clowns make S-Class before I do. And if you were kicked out, the Guild would be pretty boring. Gramps will be upset, but if we pull this off with Yui with us, he won't stay mad at us for long."
"What about you, Yui?" Lucy questioned, turning to me.
"You're all idiots." I stated, holding Mizuki close. "You don't know how dangerous this Island is, and it's people can be...difficult to say the least. I'll come with you, just to make sure you're not killed."
TIMESKIP
It took us almost the entire day to find the village. The large gate making me frown. I didn't have fond memories of this place, so I doubt I'd be given a warm welcome. "Well, we found the Village, now what?" Gray asked.
"Check out the gate." Natsu commented. "When they say keep out, they mean it."
"Anyone home?" Lucy called. "We came here to help you?"
"Who goes there?" A familiar voice called out. Lagi.
"We're Wizards from Fairy Tail responding to you're request!"
"Why weren't we notified when you accepted the job?"
"Sorry, it was probably just a mix-up with the paperwork." Gray covered.
"Then let me see your emblems, right now!" Lucy and I lifted our hands, Happy moved his backpack out of the way, Natsu showed his shoulder and Gray and Mizuki lifted their shirts to show our Guild Marks.
"They're here!" The guards gasped. It was Lagi and Afu. "They're really here!" The gate was lifted, and I glared into the village.
"It's like we're walking into a giant monster's mouth." Happy commented.
"Don't jinx it." I muttered to him as we entered the village.
"I'm Moka, the Village Cheif." A man holding a stick introduced. I don't remember anyone wearing cloaks… "On behalf of everyone here, I welcome you. Pleasantries aside, there is something you need to see. Now, my people." The people of the village then removed their cloaks. Each had some form of demon appendage. Some people's legs were different, some people arms, others had horns and one or two had a single wing and some even had beaks.
"It's just like what happened to the boat guy." Gray realised.
"Oh wow, you're sideburns!" Natsu exclaimed.
"Not that. I was trying to show you what's happened to my arm." Moka said. "Everyone on the Island has suffered horrible disfigurement because of this curse. Not even the animals have been spared."
"That's new." I commented. Moka's eyes found mine and he paled slightly. "Last time I saw you all you didn't have...those." I gestured to the changed limbs.
"Yes, you erte the lucky one among us."
"Lucky enough to get banished?" Moka glared at me.
"Please excuse me for asking, but what makes you think it's a curse, sir?" Gray asked. "It could be some kind of infectious disease."
"We've consulted with dozens of doctors, young man, but they all agree that no such disease exists. You see, our symptoms began around the same time the Moon fell under an evil spell."
"What kind of spell?" Lucy wondered.
"Since ancient times, this Island has absorbed the light of the moon causing it to glow almost as beautifully as the moon itself. It is rumoured that a Dragon even spent some of its life here, some even claim to have seen it fly off and never return." I grit my teeth. "However, several years ago, the moon's colour began to change, and an eerie purple glow was cast upon the Island."
"So the moon turned purple?" Natsu clarified.
"It's coming out from behind the clouds!" Happy said. I looked up, and sure enough, the moon was indeed purple. My throat then closed up, and I felt myself beginning to change. I pressed my hands to the sides of my head as the moon shone purple.
"Yui!" Lucy gasped. I screamed as a pressure on my upper and lower back that ripped through my clothes and something from underneath my hands. I felt something crawl up my arms and my fingernails grow longer. I opened my eyes and blinked, looking at my hands. Silver and gold scales were there instead of my skin. My guild mark, however, was black and my fingers were claws. I looked behind me to see two large silver and gold wings attached to my back as well. I had a long tail that had white spikes along its length that gently brushed the floor. I reached up and gently brushed a pair of horns on top of my head. My canines were much sharper and it hurt to press my tongue against them.
"AHH!" Mizuki shouted, flying away from me. "Mizuki thinks you're cursed Yui!"
"I'm not cursed." I muttered, observing my hands. "I know I'm not."
"I'm sorry if our appearance frightens you." Moka apologised.
"It's ok." Gray said, gazing at me. "I'm just completely confused."
"You poor people." Lucy sympathised.
"Oh man...you guys look so cool!" Natsu exclaimed. He raced up to me. "Just look at yourself Yui! You're a dragon!"
"I'm not a dragon you idiot!" I shouted at him, a small jet of silver flames escaping my nose. I clamped my hand over my nose in embarrassment. I could feel that the scales were on the edges of my face, around my hairline and behind my ears, but my face remained normal.
"It's awesome!" Natsu turned to the villagers. "You've got horns and stuff! I'm so jealous!"
"He thinks we look cool?" Someone muttered.
"No one's ever said that before." Another added.
"Natsu, you're being insensitive!" Lucy scolded. "They don't wanna look like this!"
"Seriously? Huh, my bad." Natsu apologised. "Then I guess we should help them out."
"That is why we're here." Happy said.
"Mizuki thinks we have to save them." Mizuki said, her voice wavering. "We have to save Yui."
"Anyway, as you've witnessed, whenever the Purple Moon shows it's face in the sky, everyone in the village takes on a horrific demon form." Moka said. "Just look at your friend!" Moka pointed at me. "She wasn't infected as a child, but now she returns and shares our curse! If it isn't a curse, then what else could it possibly be?! We'll return to normal once the morning comes and the sun has risen. However, there are some poor souls who can no longer switch back to their human forms for they have lost their minds."
"How sad…" Lucy whispered.
"The fate for them, these unfortunate souls in the grip of madness, we've no choice but to put them to death."
"But they might change back to normal someday!" Natsu stated.
"If we wait for that to happen, the monsters will surely kill us all. We've tried capturing them but they always broke free. It's no use. Once it takes hold, there's no way to save them. I should know. I was forced to kill my very own son."
"That's the guy from the boat!" Lucy exclaimed, recognising the photo that Moka held. Bobo… "But we just saw him yesterday-"
"Shh!" Gray hissed at her. "Now I understand why he disappeared on us like that. He's dead, but his soul can't rest in peace."
"A ghost…"
"Please lift the evil curse from our Island." Moka begged, bowing his head. "If this goes on much longer we may all fall victim to it. We'll die."
"We're not gonna let that happen." Natsu declared. "We can fix this, I promise you."
"There's only one way this wretched curse can be lifted. The moon. The moon must be wiped from the sky!"
TIMESKIP
Moka oh so generously let us stay in the vilage...more specificaly, my childhood home, the place that I grew up in the first three years of my life. It smelt old and musty, like no one had lived there in decades. There were cobwebs everywhere and all of my birth parent's belongings were long gone. "I never new the moon could be so creepy." Happy commented.
"Hurry up and close the window!" Lucy complained. "You heard what the Cheif said, we gotta stay out of the moonlight."
"Miazuki doesn't want to turn into a demon like the people outsde." Mizuki said, flying up and closing the window. "If it affected Yui so quickly she doesn't want to find out how long it will take to infect her!"
"I'm not so sure about this job, guys." Natsu said.
"Do these people really think we can destroy the moon?" Gray wondered.
"I wonder how many punches it'll take. You think I can handle it."
"Even if we were to destroy the moon, which we aren't, wouldn't I be the one best equipped to do that?" I retorted, bringing in more blankets front he storage room. I had the weird urge to nest, so while the others slept in the middle of the room, I was curling up in the corner by myself. "There's no Wizard alive with that much power."
"But that's the job we were hired to do, isn't it? We can't take a job then back out 'cause that would make Fairy Tail look bad."
"What they're asking can't be done." Gray reminded him. "How do you think you're gonna get to the moon anyway?"
"With Happy and Mizuki."
"I don't think so." Happy said.
"Mizuki can't fly that high." Mizuki admitted.
"Ok, we can't destroy the moon." Lucy stated. "But if we do some investigating, we might be able to find a different way to lift the curse from the Island."
"You kids can do what you want, but after the day I've had, I need some shut eye." Gray announced, stripping down to his boxers.
"Please don't take off anymore…"
"Ok, our investigation starts tomorrow morning." Natsu decided. "I'm hitting the sack."
"Me too!" Happy cheered.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Gray agreed. I curled up in my blanket next, my tail curled around me and my wings draped acoss me as a blanket. Mizuki managed to weasel into my arms so I curled around her protectively. My eyes fell shut on their own acord, and I fell asleep to the gentle sounds of Mizuki purring.

The next morning, we all got ready for our first day of investigation. I'm lucky I packed another set of clothes, so I changed into a whie crop-top, black, high waisted jean shorts and black sneakers. I was back to normal, so Mizuki let me hold her in my arms. "It's so early!" Natsu complained.
"Yeah, I'm never up at this time." Gray yawned.
"You two kept me up all night and I'm not complaining." Lucy stated. "So stop whining and let's go!"
"Aye…" The boys groaned.
"Open! Gate of the Clock constellation! Horologium!" Lucy chanted. The clock appeared before her, and the blonde promptly climbed inside.
"You really think we'll be able to find another way to lift the curse?" Natsu wondered.
"Well, we don't have much of a choice." Gray told him. "The village may think the moon's cursed but everyone else likes it. And destroying it might really mess things up."
"I'll say." I but in. "My mother told me that the moon creates the waves, without those, ships aren't able to sail, fish are stuck in their own reefs and people who night-fish are left without a job due to the lack of a tide. The sky would be pitch black and I don't know if half my Magic could even work without the moon."
"Without it, salmon could go extinct!" Happy cried. "And they're my favroute fish!"
"Mizuki thinks that you're too focused on food rather than the problem at hand." Mizuki commented.
"'Would you guys keep it down? We don't know what's lurking out here so we shouldnt draw any attention.' The lady demands impatiently." Horolougium repeated.
"You should walk on your own." Natsu stated.
"He's right." Gray agreed. "Do you just summon you're Spirits because you're lazy?"
"'Listen, this curse is freaking me out. We have no idea what we're up against and I'm scared. It managed to get Yui on the first night.' She say's nervously." Horolugioum said.
"Are you kidding? This is awesome!" Natsu declared. "S-Class Quests rule!"
"Yeah, I bet I could probably freeze that stupid curse." Gray bragged.
"'You guys are idiots.' She retorts disparingly." Horolougioum repeated.
"Look, just because we haven't gotten into any danger doesn't mean that this is an easy Quest." I told them. "The first time I was out on my first S-Class Quest I went with Erza and Mira and that alone took the three of us a week." A loud crashing was heard and the sound of masive footsteps drew near. We turned and I paled at the sight of a massive, almost thirty foot tall rat behind us, with aqua fur and was wearing what appeared to be a maid costume.
"'What are you waiting for? Hurry up and beat it you guys!' She yells frantically."
"Ice Make Sheild!" Gray shouted. He created a shield in front of us, but that didn't stop the disgusting gas-like breath that surrounded us.
"It's a rat!" Lucy screamed. It seemed that Horolougium had left.
"Come on Natsu, get up man!"
"The smell knocked him out." Happy informed. And with that, we started to run, dodging it's breath as best we could. I let Mizuki fly above us so she could get help if needed. Gray then turned around.
"Ice Make Floor!" He slammed his hands onto the ground just in front of him, and a sheet of ice spread. The Rat slipped on it and fell onto it's back.
"You should've done that in the first place." Natsu said.
"Shut up Natsu!" I looked around, and noticing where we were. I perked up.
"Guys, come on!" I shouted, turning to the temple. "We have to hide! THis place is protected." I turned heel and ran towards the temple. The others only contemplated for a second before following. We slowly walked through the temple.
"This place is massive!" Lucy gasped.
"Yeah, and it's falling apart." Natsu commented.
"I winder how old it is." Gray added.
"Hey, guys! I think I found something!" Lucy called. We looked to see that she was standing in front of a bedroom. The walls were lined with hand-drawn pictures of what looked to be dragon. I entered the room and took a picture off the wall.
"I remember these." I whispered, smiling softly.
"What do you think your doing?" Gray asked. I took another picture of the wall, and laughed.
"Oh, that brings back memories." I started to take the pictures off the walls. Once they were in a neat pile, I used my Spacial Magic to store them away. I picked up a small doll and tears sprung to my eyes. "I rember Selene giving this to me. It was for my sixth birthday, and I never let it go, not even to sleep. I'm surprised I left it here once we left…"
"Man, this place is a wreck." Natsu commented, stomping on the floor a little bit away. "This floor doesn't even look safe to walk on."
"Well don't go stomping on it!" Lucy told him. With one fateful kick, the floor collapsed underneath us.
"Natsu you idiot!" Gray shouted. "Look what you did!" We landed at the bottom of a large hole. I gaornaed, pushing myself up.
"Hey! Is everyone ok?" Natsu asked.
"Mizuki!" I shouted, crawling over to her. "Hey, are you alright?" Mizuki nodded, curling into me. I sighed, holding her tight.
"I'd be better if you hadn't knocked out the floor." Lucy snapped.
"Here's a thought, if you think before you act, mybe you wouldn't cause so much destruction." Gray added.
"So, can you fly us out of here Happy? Mizuki?"
"Mizuki's wings are strong bus she doubts that she can get up there without running out of Magic." Mizuki admitted. "She's sorry."
"We're underneath the temple." Gray realised.
"Wow! It's a secret cave!" Natsu cheered. "This is so cool!" He jumped up and started to run of. "Let's go check it out!"
"Would you quit running around like a crazy person?!"
"We might as well follow him." I sighed. "We don't want to loose each other in these caves." Lucy, Hray, Happy, Mizuki and I followed the path that Natsu took, and found him staring up at something.
"Natsu?" Lucy called.
"What? Something wrong?" Gray questioned.
"Hey guys, what's that?" Natsu asked. We took a couple steps forward and my eyes fell upon what Natsu had found. A large demon, encased in ice, his faced set in an angry snarl. The air in this part of the cafe was quite a bit colder than the rest.
"That's impossible...it's Deliora!" Gray approached the ice with shaky legs. "But how? How could this happen? Why is it here? What the hell is it doing on Galuna Island!?"
"Gray, are you ok?" I asked him, stepping close. "Do you know what this thing is?"
"Theres no...no way."
"Gray, please, try to calm down." Lucy soothed. Gray took a shaky breath. "Now, can you tell us about it?"
"It's Deliora, the Demon of Destruction."
"Demon of Construction?" Natsu repeated.
"Destruction." Happy corrected.
"But why is it here?" Gray demanded. "It doesn't make any sense!" My ears twitched as footsteps approached.
"Guys, hide!" I hissed. I pushed my friends to hide behind a large stone sitting just a bit away.
"The voices seemed to come from down here." Someone commented. A soft growl came from beside them. I peeked over the stone to see two men, one with dog-like features and the other had crazy eyebrows. "I hate being awake during the day." Eyebrows complained. "So Toby, were you exposed to the Moon Drip." My eyes widened, and my breath caught in my throat. "You've got those pointy ears."
"I already told you!" The dog-man, Toby, exclaimed angrily. "They're a fashion statement, you jerk!"
"Lighten up, I was just teasing you."
"You don't have to be so mean about it…"
"Yuka, Toby, something terrible has happened." Someone spoke up. I watched as a pink-haired woman wandered into the cave.
"What now Sherry." Yuka, formerly known as eyebrows, asked.
"It's Angelica. She's been attacked and I'm sad."
"You're moping around 'cause somebody beat up you're stupid pet rat?!" Toby shouted.
"She's not a rat." Sherry argued. "She's a brave hunter, prowling the jungle to protect us. She is love."
"I don't know who these people are but talk about a bunch of weirdos, especially the chick with a pet rat." Lucy muttered.
"Judging by the scent I picked up off 'em they're not from the Island." Natsu informed. I sniffed the air as well.
"But they have been here for some time." I added.
"Mizuki can't see that they've been affected by the Curse." Mizuki continued.
"Intrudors, you say?" Yuka wondered.
"And it's almost time to begin collecting moonlight again." Sherry sighed. "Oh, this makes me so sad…This news would displease the Cold Emperor. We should get ri of them before he finds out. Yes, we mist find them before the moon's first light."
"Agreed."
"Since they've seen Deliora, we can't allow them to live. We'll give them the gift of eternal rest. We'll give them...love!"
"You're talking about deat, right?" Toby clarified. A handful of stones clacked a little ways down the path.
"What was that?"
"Over there." Yuka said, and the trio ran off. Happy and Mizuki flew back over to us.
"Nice job, cat." Lucy complimented. I reached up and scratched Mizuki behind the ears, causing her to let out content purs as she rubbed against my hand.
"That was really smart." I added.
"Come on!" Natsu protested. "We should have grabbed them and beat some answers out of them."
"Not yet, we've got to do some investigating." Lucy informed him.
"Man, thus job keeps getting more and more complicated."
"Right, like who is this Cold Emperor guy?" Happy wondered.
"Deliora…" Gray muttered. "I still don't understand what anyone would want with it. And how the hell were they even able to find it?"
"Was it hidden somewhere?" Lucy asked.
"It was sealed away, inside a glacier on the northern continent. A decade ago, this immortal demon ravage Isvan. Countless people lost their lives. The woman who taught me how to use my Magic, my Master, Ur, sacrificed everything to seal it away. I don't know if it has anything to do with the curse on this island, but I do know that it doesn't belong here. This Cold Emperor, we have to find out who it is. If they tarnish my Master's legacy, they're gonna regret the day they were born!"
