It's been a long day for Kazuki. Between the barrage of deliveries and the heat from the sun, it's been one of those days. It's not helped by the whole fighting for his life, surviving an attack from a demon, becoming partners with a dragon made of ice, and the painful flashbacks to his past. Today has just been a whole thing for him.

Nakamura is downstairs preparing tonight's dinner while Kazuki is unwinding from the day upstairs in his room. He's sitting at his desk on the computer while Blucomon is sitting on his bed, munching on a piece of ice.

Blucomon looks over at his partner, seemingly typing away at the keyboard with the light from the monitor illuminating his face.

"Hey Kazuki…," Blucomon is curious. "Are you doing?"

"I'm trying to see if there's anything on Digimon on the internet. Surely something has to be on here about the existence of your kind. Right?" He keeps his eyes on the screen until he asks the rhetorical question. He turns back to look at his partner as they enjoy their frozen snack.

"By the way, I was gonna ask earlier, why are you still in that form? Wouldn't the previous one, Hiyarimon be easier for you?"

Blucomon shrugs it off, "I can understand why you'd think that. But I have my reasons. Basic survival, better mobility, but my main reason is…I don't want to keep melting in this heat."

Kazuki recalls when they first melt, how he stuck to the shade, and how he offered his jacket to cover them from the sun. "Fair point. So this form isn't weak to the sun?"

"It's more like I'm not at a disadvantage all of the time. I'm stronger in the cold, but the heat doesn't bother me as much as it used to," he snaps the piece of ice into two with his strong jaws, and crews on the other piece.

Kazuki accepts the answer and goes back to his intense online search.

"So…what have you found so far? Anything on me, the Digital World, or anything like that?"

"Nothing just yet," Kazuki rubs his chin while thinking, "There has to be something about them, about you on here."

"What makes you so sure?"

"It's just a hunch, but despite what I can, and can't remember about my past, hearing you and Devimon bring up Digimon, and the Digital World, it didn't sound new to me. Like…I heard those words before, enough that the very idea of them existing doesn't so farfetched," he sounds very sure about his idea. "I know it sounds crazy, but at this point, I'm curious, bored, and waiting for food. That's enough motivation to do some research."

Blucomon lets his partner get back to their spell of research, and cross-examine any and all traces of Digimon on the internet. The long he continues, the more prominent the smell of cooked food can be picked up as it rises from downstairs.

No matter how intensely Kazuki stares at the screen, even he can't ignore the allure of the smell, making his mouth water.

Before deciding to give up and get ready for tea, his eyes catch a glimpse of something rather promising.

"Digital Monsters are real, exclamation mark," Kazuki shrugs and goes along with it, "Worth a look." He clicks the link that opens up an online blog forum.

"Digital Monsters otherwise known as 'Digimon', are sentient creatures made from miscellanies data, and exist in a whole other world," Kazuki's excitement in his tone grows the more he reads. "Bluco, I think I've found something."

Blucomon leaps onto the back of the chair and looks over Kazuki's shoulder to read what's written on the blog.

"What is it? Another website?"

"Sort of. It's a blog. Looks like one of those fan pages you see for vampires, werewolves, and sewer gators. You know, urban legends. I guess I didn't see it before."

The pair read through the opening page. Like that of a cryptid article, most of the images are blurred out or were taken with poor-quality cameras.

"It looks like whoever wrote this seems to think that every urban myth or cryptid can be explained as a Digimon. But that's just crazy, right?"

"I don't know. Digimon are made from data. Sometimes concepts and data come together to form a brand-new Digimon. So it's not so far-fetched."

"Okay. We fought a demon earlier. Are their Angel Digimon?"

"Plenty. Some of them are guardians to the Digital world."

"Huh," Kazuki's interest is getting piqued. "Well, you're a dragon. Are their dinosaurs, and knights?"

"Yes. The Royal Knights are the primary security, and servers of justice."

Kazuki tries to think of something out of the box, "A….wooden puppet?"

"Yes, Puppetmon."

"A teddy bear?"

"That's Monzaemon."

"Uh…a big piece of poo?"

"We don't talk about them."

Kazuki doesn't pry any further, not wanting to know too much, stops the assault of questions, and just gets back to the article. As he continues to browse, he hears Nakamura calling for him from downstairs.

"Dinner is ready. I'll bookmark this for later. Who wrote this anyway?" Looking at the blog author at the bottom of the page, he finds the just written as 'The Light'.

Saving the page, he turns the computer off and starts walking with Blucomon. He has a sudden realization and stops his partner. "One more." Blucomon can tell he's serious about the next one. "Is there a Digimon that looks like a lion, holding a sword?"

Blucomon's eyes go wide, "Oh yes. That's Leomon. He's a hero where I come from. Although…, he hasn't been seen for a long while from what I've heard. There was this one I knew personally, but he disappeared around 2 months ago. Why do you ask?"

"I was just curious is all. After you. Don't want our food to get cold." The pair wander down the stairs to have a well-deserved home-cooked meal.
