November 1st, 1981, Hogwarts, Infirmary
"And may I ask, what is it that you need to get back that led to you breaking into Hogwarts during a school year in the middle of the night?"
Harry cursed himself for not thinking of him showing up. Of course, he would have his crooked nose in their business the second the plan went out the window, in this case literally. He would have to come up with a lie quick.
"An artifact that once belonged to the now dead Voldemort. We have reason to believe that Voldemort was once a student here by the name of Tom Riddle. It was believed that he had set some type of artifact in the school during the time he returned to attempt to take the position as professor for the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
"According to our intel, the artifact had some kind of curse that prevented any person from holding the position for longer than a year. But more importantly, it had power stored inside of it that could potentially turn one of his followers into someone almost as powerful as Voldemort was. The details are murky at best, but I was notified that death eaters were on their way here to retrieve it.
"As you can see, my family would not let me go alone in case a fight broke out. If you search on the seventh floor, you'll notice that we managed to take one of the death eaters down. However, two others escaped through one of the windows. On our way up we had to carefully stun someone who James told me was named Filch.
"Either way, thanks to James and Sirius, we managed to basically break in quickly but not in time to stop them. I apologize for not having a chance to notify you sir, now if we could please call the DMLE. I would like to give them a report of the situation."
"No need my boy," responded the headmaster, "I have everything under control. I have already used enervate on Filch and his cat on my way down here. Minerva and Filius are on the seventh floor cleaning up the mess and all will be sorted in just a moment."
Harry thought to himself that Albus was trying to sweep everything under the rug again. Just like how he did all six years they were at Hogwarts together. Well, he wouldn't get away with it today, "James, please send a patronus to those two he mentioned and have them not interfere with a crime scene. Sirius, please use the floo and call the aurors. This needs to be investigated properly. As a magical police officer and an Unspeakable for MCUSA, I cannot allow for this to not be handled by the professionals. I understand that you hold two high positions aside from principal of this school, but even you must follow proper protocol sir."
Dumbledore lost the twinkle in his eyes as he seemed to contemplate what he was just told, "hmm, I can understand where you are coming from," he stopped when he saw a large stag patronus leap from James' wand. "And you make an excellent point. I will allow you and the aurors to handle this properly. We just need to keep this a little quiet as to not scare all of the students."
"If you could keep them in their dormitories until your Aurors leave, that would probably be for the best. Besides it seems that they're already coming through," Harry said as he noticed a group of four Aurors come from Pomfrey's office.
"Ah Alastor, good to see you again, although it's only been a few hours since I last saw you," said Dumbledore, twinkle back in full force.
"Albus, I'd rather not be seeing so much of you if it just keeps leading to trouble," answered the grizzled auror. "It seems like this group have a penchant for trouble. Sirius told me they have a dead death eater on the seventh floor and two more escaped. Anything you want to add while Linders and Cogwell go up to secure the scene?"
When the two aurors just remained waiting he barked, "today ladies, go secure the scene!"
Cogwell and Linders took off running which made Sirius smirk that at least it wasn't him getting yelled at this time.
Albus stroked his beard seemingly ignoring the two fresh aurors, "no old friend, I'm as lost as you are, I was trying to rest when the wards informed me of dangerous spells being cast within the halls. I put on a robe and quickly went to investigate. I found a body up the seventh floor and Filch stunned on the fourth. The portraits led me to the infirmary where they were treating Sirius."
"Alright, Black, Potter erm, James Potter that is, report," ordered Moody.
James came up to him, "at 0400, we were winding down at our house from recent events when Harry received an urgent message. He gave us a quick rundown and told us he planned on coming to the school to stop a group of death eaters from acquiring an artifact that used to belong to Voldemort."
Dumbledore chimed in, "allegedly, we are not sure exactly what they were here for. We can't put it past them that it was payback for killing their leader and were trying to attack the students but where thwarted by our brave group here. Until we know for sure we must keep all options open and be extra vigilant."
James narrowed his eyes at the headmaster, "right. Well, I told Harry that I knew every secret passageway here and Sirius and I would be good with a wand if needed so we accompanied him. Lily and Isabella refused to leave us to our devices, and we didn't have time to argue so they came as back up. Daphne was already coming with Harry.
"Upon exiting a secret passageway on the fourth floor, Filch happened to come across us. We didn't have time to explain, and we wanted to keep him away from harm as he is unable to use magic, so we stunned him. We then took another passageway to the seventh floor where we came across three death eaters already carrying something. Harry and I cast at them to try to stop them, we managed to bring down Amycus, but Alecto and Fenrir managed to escape through a window on their brooms after having sent many nasty curses our way. Unfortunately, one hit Sirius who was right behind us. Thankfully Daphne recognized the spell as the false death curse and fixed him right up and now we're here."
"Sirius, once you get back to work, you're going through more training. Anything else to add?"
"No sir, everything happened as James described," Sirius answered.
"So, since you're all here, mind explaining where your kid is Potter?" he growled once again.
"My son is at an undisclosed location safe being watched over by trusted individuals," James responded.
Moody burst out laughing, "good James, good. CONSTANT VIGILENCE. Just because you believe me to be me, there are too many ears here to be spilling too much information. Now, go to the office and write up a report. Black! You'll need to write one too. Harry Potter, if you could please accompany me. I need to have a word with you."
Harry and James looked at each other for a moment before shrugging, "Harry, please watch out for the girls while I'm gone. I know they are more powerful than they seem, but I'd feel safer knowing you're with them."
Harry smiled, "you know you don't even have to ask. We're family! Now go have fun writing those reports."
Harry walked over to the corner of the infirmary where Alastor had been waiting. He could sense the privacy charms and wards that had been placed by Moody but decided to place his own as well. He also noticed how Moody held his wand in such a way as to not show aggression but be ready to jump into action, "you wanted to see me auror Moody?"
"Aye," he responded, "I want to know everything you know about these attacks. You not only stopped Voldemort, but also got intel about this attack. I want to know how you know what you know. If we can stop further attacks before they start, it would save plenty of folks."
Harry sighed, "you know that I can't give up that information so easily. My informant is deep under cover, and if I've learned anything from my past mistakes, it's that we cannot disclose someone's identity even to our most trusted of allies. In short I can't disclose their information. As for any attacks that I find out about it, I'll have James inform you as soon as possible."
Moody seemed to have expected that answer but none the less, he was still frustrated, "It wouldn't be as bad if I knew who you were. You know that I can't find a damn thing about you anywhere right. Not a birth certificate, not a doctor's visit. No education, no training, I've still yet to hear back from the Americans.
Look, James is a great auror, even if he's still a bit wet behind the ears. He's the only reason why you're not in a holding cell right now so I can figure out everything about you. But mark my words, if you aren't who you say you are, I'll have so much veritaserum down your throat, you'll tell me who you first jerked off to. That and probably die afterwards. Just felt you should know."
Harry laughed at that. He missed hearing moody go on his little threat tirades, "I'm sorry you just remind me of someone that trained me. Here," he pulled out a muggle looking identification card that showed him to be from New York and named Mike Newell. He tapped it with his wand, and it turned into an unspeakable's level S license, no name, no birth date, no nothing, "give this to your Department of Mysteries, and they'll prove that I have no past as far as records are concerned and that identifying me will be a waste of your time and mine. Please return it soon though, I only have two of those. I don't think I have to tell you the importance of having a backup of everything."
Moody carefully grabbed the identification card as if he was expecting for it to bite him, before pocketing it, "well, while it may not answer the questions I want answered, it should show if you're on our side or not. And if you're really on our side, I may have some work for you to do as an international cooperation or whatever I can have the minister spin for us. Many death eaters are still on the loose as you just found out and we will need every wand on deck if we want to catch them before they do something beyond just a break and enter."
Harry mock saluted, "aye, aye Officer Moody."
Moody narrowed his eyes at him, "I know you know we're called aurors. Hell, you Americans call your aurors, well, aurors."
"Yeah, but it pisses you English something fierce and that brings me joy," Harry responded.
Moody figured that he had spent too much time with the yank and decided to walk away. Harry noticed that the entire time he moved away he kept Harry in his peripherals. He Knew Moody wouldn't trust him simply because he gave him a little rectangle that proved, well nothing really.
Harry made sure not to make any sudden moves. He learned the hard way back in 2001 not to catch Moody by surprise, he still sometimes felt the chains around his neck and wrists.
Moody left with Cogwell and Linders levitating a stretcher behind them, it had a blanket thrown over it but Harry could infer that it was Amycus' body that they were taking away. The fourth Auror who had just stood near the far wall finally moved. Harry was beginning to think that he was some kind of mannequin or something. Once they were mostly alone, Harry went over to Lily, Isabella, and Daphne who were having a quiet conversation with Poppy about healing spells and other curses Daphne might know the counters to.
He went to what used to be his bed and just waited for them to have their conversation. It would be good for them to talk about something that wasn't death eaters for a moment.
Harry began to doze off, but was interrupted by everyone's favorite senile old man, "you must be exhausted after so much action. Would you like if I set up one of the guest quarters for you?"
This was a very weak attempt to get information on him, Dumbledore would surely have the portraits or house elves spy on them if they stayed, Harry thought to himself, "no thank you sir. Daphne and I already have a place to stay. I would ask instead that you put your efforts into finding out how the death eaters got in the school. Ilvermorny has wards that prevent people with ill-intent from entering the grounds. I doubt that a school as old and magically powerful as Hogwarts would be lacking in that department. If it is, I would be more than happy to pull some strings and get them to assist you in making your school that much safer."
For a just a moment, Harry could notice a change in Dumbledore's demeanor. He seemed angry, or perhaps more accurately he seemed furious. But it was gone almost instantly, most would think it a trick of the light, but Harry knew he had pushed his buttons.
"There is no need for that. I assure you that the wards are in proper working order and would have prevented their entrance if they were here to harm the children, it is possible that they came with the sole purpose of acquiring whatever it is that you said they were here for and with that completed, they were more than willing to leave peacefully, that is until you decided to kill one of them in cold blood."
Harry knew that Albus liked to get a rise out of people willing to kill by taking the high road and speaking down at them, "I understand, it was probably foolish of us to have resorted to such violence. I'll endeavor to keep things more civil in the future, should a similar situation present itself," keep the old man off balance, that was the best way to keep him off the trail. Push back one day, agree with him the next, never let him know exactly what you're thinking.
"Erm, right. I'm glad you understand, now if you could excuse us, I'm sure Poppy is in need of as much rest as I am. Please make your way home and I hope to see you again under much better circumstances, perhaps once your order of merlin is ready Mr. Potter," he said dismissively as he walked out of the infirmary.
It wasn't much but it was a small victory over the old coot, "darling, are you ready to go?"
Harry looked back to see Daphne had walked up behind him, "yes my love, where are we spending the night?"
"Mother has agreed to house us tonight, and your mother will be messaging your father to come to our house as well. I convinced them that being together would bring safety. Also, I reminded your mom that them hiding in the cottage was he-who-fucks-goats' idea. She was quick to agree with me," she responded with a smile that made his heart flutter.
Harry stood and interlaced his fingers with Daphne's as they walked back to their mothers, "are you two ready to go get some sleep?"
Isabella nodded, "yes please, I haven't slept in almost twenty-four hours."
Lily shared her sentiment, "yes, and I still need to go check on little Harry. I'm sure Cyrus is great, but you two as babies are probably more than one man should have to handle on his own."
Daphne started to blush, "I wasn't that bad!"
Harry just smirked at his wife's embarrassment. Isabella smirked and began walking towards the fireplace in Poppy's office, "thank you for everything Poppy, have a good day."
"You too, I need some sleep after all of that, it was nice seeing you as well Lily, and meeting the both of you, hopefully next time we meet there won't be a need for aurors," poppy managed to say before letting out a long yawn.
Lily unfortunately couldn't hold it and yawned too, "Merlin, I'm tired. Ok goodbye Poppy, don't be a stranger."
"It was nice meeting you ma'am, I'll be sure to send you something nice as an apology, what is your drink of choice?" asked Harry.
"That won't be necessary young man," she replied.
"Delacour Wine from the 1800's it is," he said, "rest well ma'am."
"Bye Mrs. Pomfrey, I'll make sure he includes some delicious chocolates," said Daphne as she followed her husband.
-TFACC-
November 1st, 1981, Greengrass Manor.
Harry woke up to a screaming Daphne, "darling, wake up, it's just a dream. He can't get you here, he's only a little boy right now. Daphne, wake up sweetheart."
He knew that the only way to wake her without making her nightmare worse was with quiet soothing words and rubbing her back. Anything else would result in accidental magic.
Daphne opened her eyes and enveloped Harry in her arms, "I hate this. I can still feel his hands on my body. It feels like bugs are crawling up my legs, and on my chest. I hate it. If I was stronger back then…"
"Shh, shh, shh," Harry cut her off, "none of that. Goyle didn't work alone. It was one against four and you were caught by surprise. Just remember that you killed Zabini and severely wounded Parkinson before they could bring you down. And when he tried what he did, you fought him off every second until help arrived."
"Yeah, I still can't believe Malfoy of all people saved me. He was such a git when he was younger and kept telling me that I would be his wife. Then, when it mattered most, he was there and even killed Goyle and Parkinson. Crabbe managed to escape but that was more out of cowardice than skill. I still hate it though. I'm just glad he didn't get too far before help could arrive."
"Would you like for me to go get you breakfast? Or perhaps get you a shower started?"
"No, just stay with me for a moment. Hold me close, your heartbeat calms me down more than the best calming draught in the world could ever hope to accomplish," she answered.
About twenty minutes later, and a short nap for Daphne, they were interrupted by Lopsey, "Master Greengrass been saying that lunch is ready, and that the younger Potters is waiting on yous."
Daphne smiled at the loyal elf. Out of all the elves they've had over the years, Lopsey was the only one to have survived at least until they traveled back in time, "thank you Lopsey, please tell him that we will be down there in ten minutes."
"Yes, Missus Daffy," the elf said as she popped away.
Daphne took a moment to center her mind, the nightmare still fresh in her thoughts, "alright, let's go see the family. I'm sure we can look forward to another round of twenty questions."
They both went under the shower to get the sweat and grime to wash off their bodies. Taking turns to scrub each other, they were quickly out and dried by means of drying magic. They dressed in the same clothes as the day prior, with a few cleaning charms on them of course, and went downstairs.
As they arrived at the dining room, they saw that James was feeding baby Harry, while baby Daphne threw food at Isabella. Harry began to laugh at little Daphne which of course met a smack from his wife, which just made him laugh more.
"Cute kids," he called out.
Lily came from the kitchen with a pitcher of juice and two glasses, "thank you, but I think you're biased."
Harry took one of the glasses and filled it with the orange juice, "maybe a little."
Daphne took her juice and sat next to herself, "hi Daphne, are you grumpy today?"
Baby daphne was confused at yet another stranger at the table but decided to answer by throwing food at her. Daphne quick with her reflexes just dodged the food.
"Oy, what was that for Daphne?" Harry asked while attempting to remove the porridge from the back of his head.
"It wasn't me. It was little me, and she doesn't know any better," she replied.
"Fine, I can't be mad at her, she's too adorable," he said before going back to his food which was provided by Lopsey as he and Daphne sat down.
They ate and played with their younger versions for a while. After the plates were taken by Lopsey, the room took a more serious tone. Speaking of which, Sirius walked in just a moment later, "OK, who died?"
Harry looked at his godfather, "well you almost did, for starters. Anyways please sit down. We have some important things to talk about."
Sirius sat down and the children were moved to another room with Lopsey watching over them. All eyes were on the time travelers.
Harry felt odd that even with him being with his parents, godfather, and his wife's parents, he was still the one who they treated as the leader, "alright, so first thing is first. Voldemort never had his death eaters attack Hogwarts this early. That and the fact that we met more of them at the shack tell me that we messed up something while saving James and Lily. In our past, when the curse bounces back and kills Voldemort, he disappears for almost ten years. He reappears in 1991 when he possesses a professor at Hogwarts. In the years in between, aside from Bellatrix and her three idiots attacking the Longbottoms, there are no other death eater attacks. It seems that me killing Tom's body instead of the ritual that Dumbledore had performed, gave him the chance to warn his lackeys.
"That changes everything. The fact that he had sent people to two horcrux locations means that Lucius and the diary, and Bellatrix and the cup are gone. We will check of course, but it's safe to say that either the remaining death eaters, or possibly Voldemort's shade, know that I and possibly Daphne are either intimately knowledgeable of all things Voldermort, or he knows we are from the future. There are plenty of other reasons why they may have moved the horcrux, however we are going to operate on the worst-case scenario. Daphne?"
Daphne continued, "our research group from the future tried to figure out what happened last night, how he survived. The most we could accomplish was guess work regarding Dumbledore's meddling, and that due to the horcrux Voldemort would still be alive no matter how he was killed. We did not expect that the method of killing him would result in him either getting the word to his followers to hide his items, or worse, he is possessing one of them and giving them commands as the situation changes.
"Not only that, but Harry and I talked about the death eaters at the school before bed and we think we know how they got in. We talked to you about a ward drill that could get into Hogwarts with enough time, well that would take a week at least, two at most. Which means that they were allowed in. We would not put it past Dumbledore to give them access to the castle in order to help Voldemort to return to a new body. The headmaster has this sick obsession with prophecies and will do whatever he can to have it fulfilled. He believes that either Harry or Neville must be marked in order for the prophecy to have any value. Without that mark the entirety of his plans will fail, and he will have to find another way to continue Grindelwald's plans."
Harry tapped her on the shoulder, "darling, I think you said too much, and you broke them."
Daphne looked at the others who were looking at her like she had Voldermort sticking out of her forehead, "sorry, I wasn't supposed to tell you that yet, but cat's out of the bag. We planned on telling you this later, once we could prove some of our claim,s but might as well tell you now.
"Dumbledore and Grindelwald were a couple a long time ago. Dumbledore didn't fight against him not because of some pacifist mindset, but because he was helping him from the shadows. When Grindelwald almost fell to a terrible curse, Dumbledore went out and used a stand in, had a very flashy fight, and while that went on, Grindelwald was extracted to Nurmengard. It's supposed to be a maximum-security prison built by Grindelwald himself to house his enemies and prisoners of war. It's ridiculous that people don't think that he had a method for himself to be able to use his magic in that place no matter what.
"Dumbledore has been keeping him there all this time, trying to find a way to save his lover from the curse. The curse, of course, came from either Arturus Black or Charlus Potter. We didn't have the complete information to find out which one did it, but that's not really important. Anyways, he does what he does to complete their plans.
"All of Dumbledore's plans and machinations have one thing in common, the removal of certain bloodlines and people that would be a problem for his greater good. He needs a dark lord to keep the populace in fear and he needs a marked one to make a martyr. With these two things in place, he can push his agenda to show the dangers of certain types of magic, leaving those magics only to those loyal to him. He can push certain families to the dark lord by pushing their children into Slytherin, and have others go to Gryffindor to die fighting against the dark lord and his followers. Have you ever noticed that some of the most brash and boisterous children ended up in Slytherin, while some of the most cunning, intelligent, and loyal people ended up in Gryffindor?
"Dumbledore with Grindelwald's help managed to undue many of the spells that made the sorting hat what it was. He then hand-picked certain children to go to specific houses."
"What about when I got sorted, if you're right, wouldn't Dumbledore have sent me to Slytherin?" asked Sirius.
"He didn't chose every single person's house, most were sorted properly. We learned from the hat that when Sirius was getting sorted, Dumbledore allowed the hat to do its job properly. We think that he wanted to spread the Blacks to cause some in fighting, believing you to be a threat should you become the head of your household.
"Grindelwald, surprisingly enough, was the one who told us many more of Dumbles' secrets which led to us finding out about the hat. Apparently, he didn't believe in Dumbledore's subterfuge and preferred a more direct approach. But, once he found out about Dumbledore's death, he was more than willing to assist us. His reasoning was that he would never be able to accomplish his greater good plans, so he might as well assist us in surviving."
"Fuck," said James, Sirius, and Isabella in unison.
"And I'd hate to ask, but do you know the words of the prophecy? I don't trust that Dumbledore told us the actual prophecy," asked Lily.
Harry sighed. He hated this damn thing the most. It's what started his nightmare of a life, "I remember it word for word, I heard it not only from Dumbledore's memories, but also from Snape's, and a recording in the department of mysteries, it goes as follows 'The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...'"
Harry noticed that both Lily and James were getting angrier, "what did the bastard say that it was."
"It was similar, but instead he said 'the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches…partnered with one who has thrice defied him, parent of one born as the seventh month dies…and the Dark Lord will mark them as his equal, but they will have power the Dark Lord knows not…their child will give them power beyond the Dark Lord's but only if their child remains safe, for if the child dies, all hope is lost.' He made it seem like it would be one of us, not you," Lily said with tears in her eyes.
"Well, we already knew that he was a fucking bastard, but he's still trying to complete Grindelwald's plans, trying to get us killed, and helping out the fucking death eaters? He needs to be stopped!" shouted Sirius.
Harry nodded, "and I agree with you padfoot, but we can't go after him yet. He holds three very important positions, he is trusted by everyone, and he is powerful as fuck. Even if we could take him out, unless we can prove that he is the terrible master mind that he really is, we would be lynched by the blind idiots who follow his every fart as if it was gospel. That would immediately label all of us dark lords. We need to do this the smart way. He needs to die in action. Away from the public eye. The only problem with that, is that he is a showman. He will not do anything without a crowd. So, what do we do about that?"
Daphne answered, "we need to fake that crowd and give him a difficult situation that only he can win. He only does things that make him seem like the next Merlin. So, it needs to be big. Probably a showdown with a weakened Dark Lord or get him to save a town against a dragon. Anyways, we can come to that bridge after we get rid of Voldemort. At least Dumbledore's plans don't get the entire wizarding world hunted to near extinction."
"That's true, well first thing is first, Hermione gave me some intel on where we can get some money. We need to go and get that so we can purchase the Peverell castle from the goblins," said Harry.
James looked at his son, "just because you're older than me doesn't mean that we won't be helping you with housing, besides a castle may be a bit too much don't you think?"
"I appreciate it dad, but Peverell castle was our last bastion. Once the goblins were taken out via deep burrowing nukes, the remaining above ground goblins joined the survivors. King Ragnok didn't survive the attack unfortunately, so many secrets were lost, but his son Ragrok," Sirius chuckled at the name, "yes, they're all named similarly. Anyways, his son Ragrok did know many secrets including the location of castle Peverell. The castle was used as collateral long ago by Ulysses Potter who had a gambling problem. The castle was unfortunately lost to the goblins as Ulysses attempted to outsmart them by setting up timed wards that would prevent them from entering further should he be unable to retrieve the castle.
"Well, the goblins quickly found out about the wards and made it near impossible to buy the castle back, fast forward to 2008, and we acquired the castle with the help of Ragrok. It has always been there as far as the muggles are concerned, so they never looked for us there. Well, they used their magic detecting gear there once, but being above a leyline, and a dragon being nearby, they decided to destroy the poor thing and claim it a victory without looking too much into it. We hid in the lower levels of the castle for days after, scared to cast a simple lumos. All that to say, that castle holds many secrets, it's a great base of operations, and is totally worth what the goblins are asking for.
"Now, me and Daphne need to go to Guatemala to get a few million galleons that Andromeda Black, not your cousin Sirius, left hundreds of years ago. She's kind of the reason why the Blacks lost a lot of power back in the 1500s. Anyways, it's going to take a while to break through her wards, but we've managed it before."
"Merlin, how did you manage to uncover so much?" asked James.
"Everyone helped at the end, no one kept secrets anymore," Daphne answered sadly.
Lily seemed confused, "well that's great and all, but what would lead the most stubborn wizards to share their secrets?
"Unfortunately, the muggles know that knowledge is power, so when they first started attacking us, they targeted our libraries, schools, and museums. Any place they believed would hold knowledge. Most schools where destroyed on the first summer after they found out about us. They were gracious enough to wait for the children to not be at the schools. So, because of that, any surviving family did their best to protect their private libraries. People would have the most expensive trunks with the most space, filled to the brim with books, scrolls, memories, anything that could keep our past knowledge alive. Once it was just our group left, and we had our plan to travel back in time, every single person spent their free time researching anything to do with our families, riches, powers, magics, properties, anything that could help me and either Draco or Daphne once we came back.
"We were put through a crash course on all of the important families, the Greengrasses being a hub for information was an important factor in having her come here. We know that in the future you deal with death eaters to protect your family," Harry explained as he pulled out a small notepad from his pocket. He placed it on the table. It grew to the size of a large phonebook with a wave of Harry's hand, "you're a very good note taker, so we have tons of information of who is a death eater and who's a sympathizer. Don't worry Cyrus, we don't hold it against you. I know that you only did it because they were threatening Daphne and As-Isabella.
"Anyways, because of all the notes, books, and memories, we have a very good grasp on many of the secrets that most powerful families have at this time. Hopefully, we can use that information against the death eaters, and give us an edge during the coming wars."
"Harry, Daphne, no matter what, we are with you one hundred percent," said Lily through teary eyes, "I think I've cried more these last twenty-four hours than I have all year. I'm sorry."
"Don't be, it has been a very emotionally charged day for all of us," comforted Isabella.
Daphne agreed with her mother, "yeah, besides we already saved you, that means you'll be able to help us more than ever before. We already have a good place to start, and Harry is just as powerful as Voldemort, the only thing he has over us is experience. We can get around that by preparing plenty of contingencies as well as teaching you all some of the spells that were created before we came back."
"Hey dad, you want to learn how to fly without a broom like I did last night?" asked Harry.
Sirius jumped up from his chair, "what? I want to learn how to do that!"
Everyone except for James and Harry just stared at Sirius until he sat back down, "I mean, not right now, there are more important things to do."
Harry whispered to him, "don't worry, I'll teach you later," then spoke normally to the group, "any other questions before we go?"
"Yes, I hope you don't expect to be running around with just that set of clothes, are you?" Cyrus asked.
Daphne felt her cheeks burn red, "I'm sorry father, but we didn't really have time to get clothes once we came back, and we wanted to be as minimalistic as possible when taking the trip, only our clothes, wands and our two books. We didn't feel safe bringing anything else."
Isabella and Lily spoke simultaneously, "don't worry, I'll take you shopping."
They looked at each other, and Isabella continued, "I mean, we will take you shopping. Get you some basic necessities, maybe a trunk or two. Plenty of clothing for all occasions, brooms for each of you, some basic protective gear, and whatever else we can think of."
Daphne's eyes lit up, "I would love that!"
Harry wasn't too keen on the idea however, "um, I'll let Daphne handle that with you, she knows all my sizes, in the meantime, I can teach these three some spells and wards. Gotta make every minute count."
Daphne knew Harry all too well after being married to him for five years. He hated shopping. Plain and simple, getting him to go shopping would be impossible, unless he was shopping for others, "perfect plan my love. I'll make sure we get all that we need and you four can get some training in."
Harry got up and hugged his wife, "thanks honey, you're the best."
Lily got up, "we will hold all other questions until our babies are comfortable and have all they need."
Daphne smirked at Harry, "Daphne, don't be like that, you're still my baby too," said Isabella.
Harry laughed out loud at his wife this time, "sounds good to me mom, and Isabella, thank you for everything."
Isabella got up and hugged him, "don't mention it, you've kept my baby safe, you've kept your parents safe, you've done more than enough. Last night I had a hard time believing you two, but now I know that you two are our children, and we will all do anything and everything to make sure we all survive this mess."
"Thank you, Isabella," Harry said as he hugged her back.
They separated after a short moment. Isabella went to go check on her baby, and told Lily not to worry about baby Harry, she would check on him too.
"Cyrus, can we use your training room, or a location where you don't mind things getting damaged?" Harry asked.
"Of course, Harry, should we go ahead now?" Cyrus responded.
"Daphne, Lily. If anything happens, send us a patronus. We will be there in a flash," Harry said.
Daphne smiled, "of course darling, now run along and have fun with the boys."
Harry went up to her again and gave her a kiss, "I love you Daph. Come back to me safe."
He moved away from his wife, "see you soon mom, keep an eye out for anything shifty, we aren't out of the woods yet."
"Don't worry Harry, we are tough girls. They have more reason to worry than we do," his mom said with confidence as she and Daphne went to meet with Isabella.
Harry clapped his hands, "alright fellas, we have to put Sirius through his paces. Can't have him taking another curse to the chest like this morning."
"Oh come on, you were serious about that?" Sirius asked.
"No, Sirius is my godfather," he replied.
"You…ugh, fine whatever, lets go" Sirius said as he followed a smirking Cyrus to the training room.
Cyrus took them outside and Harry couldn't help but marvel at the stark differences between when he last saw this place and now. Gone were all the craters from the shelling by the American military and instead there was a beautiful garden, a large ornate stable filled with beautiful horses, and a large natural pond. It was as breathtaking as Daphne had described it. He hurried to catch up with Cyrus and the others who were walking into a storm cellar.
The place showed signs of being abandoned, "Cyrus, you haven't been training recently, have you?"
"With all the businesses that we run, it has been hard finding the time to relax, much less train," he answered.
"I understand, but from now on we need to do training more often. Granted you held your own for a while but ultimately Dolohov killed you in our past. I will not let that happen again. So? Who wants to go one on one with me first?"
Sirius walked forward while doing some stretches, "lets see how good you really are pup."
Harry smirked. He needed to show Sirius the difference between petty criminals and an actual powerhouse, "Cyrus, do you mind activating the safety wards and doing a countdown? We are going to go by no rules besides no fatal spells or unforgivables."
Cyrus went off and activated the safety wards for the training, "are the two of you ready?" He asked. Once they both nodded, he let out a small cannon blast sound from his wand.
Sirius began by casting a plethora of curses at Harry, tripping, tongue lock, jelly legs, and many other schoolyard hexes, Harry showed his power by batting them all out of the way with the tip of his wand. Sirius nonetheless continued to send spells his way hoping to get one through. Harry waved his wand in front of him and silently conjured a large shield to protect himself from the incoming spells. His godfather believing this to be Harry becoming quickly exhausted, doubled his efforts.
Behind the barrier Harry began channeling his magic through the ground. He had transfigured a section of the ground beneath the top layer into a large metallic ball. Now he was guiding it to his prey all while underground.
"Is this all you're going to do? Just block," Sirius taunted.
"No, I just wanted to show you that I could block everything you sent my way," Harry said as a snake like metallic object broke through the ground under Sirius' feet. "Also, it gave you a false sense of security."
Sirius turned to fight the new creature went he felt something hit him on the back and his world went dark.
Harry managed to conjure some pillows under Sirius as he fell, "yeah never take your eye off the target, rennervate."
Sirus opened his eyes, "damn, cheap shot hitting a guy in the back like that."
"A death eater would shoot you in the back while you were in the shitter Padfoot, now who's next?" asked Harry.
Cyrus carefully moved to take Sirius' place, "alright, don't go easy on me like you did with him. I want to see how much I need to improve."
Harry shrugged, "if you say so. James if you would?"
"Are you two both ready?" at their nods he let off another small cannon blast.
Harry was immediately on the move, not giving his opponent a chance for a clean shot. He then conjured a floating belt of stones around himself and set them on fire, as he cast other spells the stones would randomly shoot out towards Cyrus who tried to dodge but was still hit on the leg once. As Cyrus fell while trying to dodge a bludgeoning spell, harry transfigured the ground into chains and bound his father-in-law."
Harry moved up to him and smiled as he cast a sickly green spell at Cyrus, hitting him square in the face shocking the other three. However, Harry began to laugh as Mr. Greengrass had a large blotch of green covering his face.
"Can I be let up now please?" asked Cyrus.
Harry undid all of his spells, even the paint one, and then helped him up, "that was more me showing off than anything, so we will have to go again later to actually give you some training."
James moved to replace Cyrus, "my turn."
Harry looked at his dad. He would make sure to allow his father to live a long happy life this time around.
Sirius let out a cannon blast while he was distracted and let James start transfiguring the rubble from earlier into small bugs that shot out towards Harry. He disposed of them by sending a torrent of fire towards them. James was not idle however and had transfigured the larger pieces of broken ground and Harry's earlier creation into large hammer-like objects, focusing more on their use and not on their appearance. He then vanished them towards Harry.
Harry was impressed with his father's transfiguration, but he wouldn't be beaten so easily. Harry used his smoke form to travel between them and appeared in front of his father who was caught off guard. As James attempted to get his bearing back and cast anything to get some distance, Harry transfigured James' clothes into a straight jacket. James fell forward to a thankfully cushioned floor and felt his wand get pulled from his grip.
"Great job, you have plenty of raw talent. Thankfully for all of us, I was trained by Moody after he became even more paranoid, so I'll turn that raw talent into instinctual precision. Who needs large bludgeoning objects when you can transfigure hundreds of thousands of miniscule needles."
Harry removed the straight jacket from his father and transfigured it back to its regular form, "I'll begin by teaching you a simple spell, it alerts you when it senses magic coming towards you. And once you learn that I'll be using all three of you as target practice until you can successfully dodge ten spells in a row, ready? Too bad let's begin," Harry said with a smile.

Hours later, Sirius had found out that Harry was not joking when he said he would make Moody's training seem like child's play. He could hardly move, muscles he didn't know existed were sore. He had a black eye and could barely feel his left arm. Harry had told him that the numbness would go away in an hour or two, but at this point, Sirius was confident that he would never use his arm again.
"Harry, I thought you said you were trying to save me, not kill me yourself," he whined.
"This is me saving you Padfoot, if I make you too tired to go out and get yourself killed, well that's a job well done. And if you actually learn what I'm teaching you, I wont need to worry about you as much. But since the object of the game was to dodge, and looking at your injuries, I'd say we need to do this a lot more often to make sure you live long enough to convince some poor girl to marry you," he responded.
"Marry me? Why would I do that to all the women of the world who have yet to have a chance of a night with me?" Sirius asked.
"If you have the strength to make jokes, that must mean I didn't go hard enough on you."
"You're a monster! Where is James or Cyrus, I haven't heard from them in a while?" asked Sirus.
Before Harry could answer, he heard the floo flare up, so he rushed to greet his wife, mother, and mother-in-law but stopped short when he saw that Isabella was bleeding from her forehead and her abdomen. She appeared to be unconscious, and Daphne's robes were singed and ripped. Lily seemed to be unharmed but was shaken up a bit.
"What happened?" Harry asked as he rushed to help Daphne with Isabella.
To be continued.
