BNHA: Dual Fates

Chapter 63: Rescue Mission

"Thank you, Hatsume, for listening," Exhausted, Shota came into a room from a glass wall and placed her on a metallic table. The weight of the cybergirl was enough to cause a heavy thud, making everyone in the room practically sweatdrop at the sound and thank the heavens above that no one had to carry her by themselves. Save for Kirishima who carried her one time and hardly noticed the heavy weight she had.

"No problem!" Pinky's toothy grin shined bright before it fell into a concerned frown over the lighter redhead.

"I'm sorry. Everyone, except Mr. Aizawa, can you please leave?" The good hacker, whose face can hardly be seen from under his hood, asked the students that opened their mouths to protest. All around him sat laptops and other computer devices, either hooked or wired to one main computer that was set up. Dangling red and blue wires were noticeable to the side of his main computer, with plastic concealment on the ends indicating that they were for connecting to something else.

"No, I can't! I won't!" Angry, sharp teeth gritted after Kirishima stepped closer and bore his dangerous hues into the good hacker's own. "I'm not leaving her side!" It didn't take long for Midoriya to agree with him and the others to do the same.

"What if something happens, what if the hacker decides to control her again?!" Behind Izuku shouted Ochaco with her balled fists and stern brown eyes. The brunette didn't want to walk away from something as serious as this.

Next, the voices of the other students began to overlap with one another as they all wanted to give their opinion and protest. However, it all fell into silence when Aizawa exclaimed to get them to be quiet.

"Enough!" Upon his shout, he watched them stiffen up and sweat profusely despite their determined expressions. He looked into everyone's eyes, for they all could pierce through just about anyone if they were any sharper, nonetheless, he sighed and placed a hand on the table Uviel was on.

"I understand all of you want to stand by her side no matter what the case may be... But- as Ochaco said, she is still dangerous even in this state. The hacker now has full control and access to her, which means she could wake up by the hacker's control! The whole mess from earlier could repeat itself! I don't want any of you getting hurt! So... Here's what I plan to do," Shota explained and pointed to the glass wall they came in from. "I want you to watch from outside. While Saito is unconscious, we are going to examine her. If she does wake up then we'll have to be on our guard at all costs!" After explaining, he noticed how they became hesitant but nodded regardless. Quiet, while whispering among themselves, they left the room and observed from behind the glass. I just hope what we're about to do, won't hurt her... Pain filled Aizawa's mind and reflected in his dark hues. He didn't want to resort to such a thing but felt he had no choice in the matter.

The hacker's computers were already prepped for the situation. Screens all glowed and showed their complex numbers, even the main computer he ran his fingers across showed countless windows of code.

One window had many lines of numbers, while the second window on his main computer showed random letters and files. Those breathtaking eyes of his moved so fast and so had his fingers, as they raced across the keys. His right hand was used to type on the laptop without so much as looking. It was quick and precise, for his right hand returned to the main computer just as fast.

~~~~Edgeshot~~~~
In a dark room sat the pro ninja, who seemed to stare in silence against a wall and watched her confined form struggle against his quirk. She may have strength, but she can't possibly rip herself out of my quirk. Especially when every muscle on her body is tightly held together. Contemplative, Shinya's thoughts echoed as he adjusted his feet for a comfier position. Hooked to his attire was a recording device he decided to attach and flipped the button on before he spoke. "So... Mind telling me why you killed all of those innocent people? Who that man in the bright yellow suit was? Or maybe even why you decided to fight Eraser Head? I also noticed you were teamed up with the League of Villains, I'd love to hear about that as well," Slowly, cautiously he walked closer and released a bit of his quirk from her mouth so she could speak.
There, in a metal chair, Tali was strapped down by industrial chains and his own power. Not once did those black, seething eyes soften or change from the internal rage that's yet to be satisfied. If I tell him, would he and those stupid heroes be able to help me find that bastard? Shigaraki's been a pain, he hardly helped me find any clues to him! What's the point anymore? If I leave our alliance and make one with these damn heroes, I could potentially get closer to that sick freak! Her enraged thoughts resonated like a beast in the wild, the animosity in her black, dead eyes didn't go unnoticed by the hero, and saw how he hummed at her expression.
"Still quiet?" Asked the ninja, as he examined the exposed muscle and skeletal part of her teeth on one side of her face. The melted flesh from before nearly made his own skin crawl but knew that he needed to get some answers somehow; even if it was from a walking corpse. This time, with his quirk, a spare chair was pulled up so he could sit down comfortably. "I can sit here all day... I have as much patience as a professional archer, waiting to shoot the arrow," His sharp, gray eyes, bore into hers and pondered how dangerous she would be if she was loose again.
"Goroganda Gechi... Do you know him?" Through a growling voice, she asked. Tali did her best to hold back her anger and cries when she asked, despite how pent up all of it felt.
"I'm the one asking questions. But... I'll answer you just once, then you have to answer all of mine," Serious, he was, he figured the exchange wouldn't be too bad so he offered her that small deal to which he saw her head nod. "Good. To answer your question- yes, I learned it from Uviel's undead parents. I've heard vague rumors as well, about a student in U.A over decades ago, who was kicked out for something horrible he had done; but I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. That rumor spread around when I was barely in my U.A years," explained the ninja, for he saw how conflicted her expression seemed and took note of her eyes full of contemplation.
"Those innocent people, wouldn't stay out of my way... I was trying to reach Heatwave, who that asshole Goroganda created. I know his creations from anywhere. If anyone gets in my way then they're as dead to me as that prick Goroganda! I don't want anyone slowing me down when I'm trying to find hints or clues to that wretched bastard who stole my life!" This time, her rage exploded through growls behind her teeth as vengeance reflected in her hues. She hardly cared if the ninja was startled by what she said, for her own rage echoed like a neglected and abused beast gone feral.
"So- that's why you attacked Eraser Head," Concluding, nodding to himself, he recalled how he had to kill Uviel's zombie parents and reassured them with guaranteed justice.
"IF THAT IS WHAT HE GOES BY, THEN YES! HE GOT IN MY WAY! EVERYONE KEEPS GETTING IN MY WAY! I WANT THAT ASSHOLE IN THE GRAVE! I'LL DRAG HIM INTO THE GRAVE WITH ME IF I HAVE TO! STRAIGHT TO HELL!" This time she didn't hold back. Her cries, were gravelly and deep as if she was a singer from a screamo song. "I WANT HIM TO EXPERIENCE THE HELL HE PUT ME THROUGH!" Finally, quivering from her intense emotion, she let out a roar so loud that Edgeshot had to cover his ears; it echoed and bounced off of the walls all around them.
"If that's the case..." For a moment, he trailed off and removed his hands after her screams stopped. "Work with us. Tell us everything you know about him and who you are. I'll be more than delighted to give you the revenge you're looking for if it means putting your heart at ease and letting you rest in peace," He offered her a chance, an opportunity that the League never gave her. A moment in her whole decayed life to achieve justice, which she greatly longed for and was adamant about, sat before her eyes.
"Fine," Quiet this time, the cry she let out was enough to soothe a tiny bit of rage she had and it allowed her to think more clearly. That's all she ever wanted, was justice over the one who killed her. "The name's Tali Muni..." Calmer than ever, for once, she began and lowered her gaze to the floor to ponder. "Before I died, I was Goroganda's assistant. He and I were going to get married..." Again, a long pause ensued when she thought about how to explain further. Just by watching in her upper peripherals, she saw how one of his legs moved to lay over the other.
"When he was kicked out, I dropped out and wanted to be with him. I didn't want to be away from him... He was my everything- I loved him. He was my fiance' at the time and when he continued to reach for his dreams of turning people into cyborgs, he... Started to run out of options. So, I offered my body for him to experiment on. He never told me it'd have a chance of failing on me, because he said he had confidence that it would work! I believed him, I loved him so much that I didn't even heed my own common sense! So, when he put me to sleep, he did what he said he would. However... I died. Many years ago I found myself crawling out of a grave, hungry for the death of Goroganda! I don't know how I'm alive right now but I last recall seeing him planting a small chip into one of his failed creations. So maybe, he adjusted the chip and finally finished what he wanted to achieve... He has come so far now. Heatwave is a prime example of how far he's come!" Thoroughly, Tali did her best to explain and closed her eyes at the faint memory of lying on a table under Goro's loving gaze.
"What does this chip do, exactly?" Shinya was concerned, that if the chip actually kills a person then most likely Saito would have in her too. His once patient and stern eyes glinted with anger at the thought of his daughter's life at stake.
"It's used as a connection device. The chip in one's brain is meant to connect cybernetics to the body, giving the brain more functionality and allowing it to send messages through the cybernetics to activate them. The chip he put into me, apparently, was meant to keep my body alive and well," Again, Tali paused and was about to open her mouth to speak when Edgeshot beat her to it.
"I take it- that's how you recover? It's strange though, your body seems to heal when you feed off of living flesh. If it's meant to keep you alive and well, why would it work if you're dead?" This time, he found himself sunk into the large mystery of Tali Muni, for he leaned over and propped his elbows onto his knees.
"Microbots... Goroganda must have put them in the chip before planting it onto my brain! They're microscopic robots meant to keep the body healed and intact. But since I'm dead, they will only react if I eat flesh... Judging by how they activate when I feed, they most likely use that flesh I've devoured or chewed on to recover my dead body's damages. Otherwise, the dead cells in my own body won't work and can't be used. So they'd resort to something living," Pondering, she may have been dead but it didn't hinder her intelligence at all. The bittersweet memory of when she hovered behind Goro's back and watched him use a scope to look at the microbots, flashed through her mind.
"Does Gechi have a place of business? Where did you two go after you left U.A?" Shinya didn't want to mention the part about him being Uviel's cyber doctor, in fact, he wanted to make sure his assumption was right and needed proof.
"We lived underground for a long time... There was this building we went to, it was small, but it was a decent hideaway. So we used tools to dig our way underground and develop our own lab together. Those rumors about the assistant, began to spread when I stopped showing my face around town. I talked about Goro all the time, how he was amazing, and how I would help him. I'm not sure if this building is still around or if he's still using it to this day... If he is, then let me go there so I can tear him apart," Demanding, she was at that last part. After that, they had a long-lasting staring contest that could rival even a statue at this point.
So, my hunch was right. There really is something off about that lab I was in. I'll have to inform Shota Aizawa of this, he wanted to locate that hacker first but... Perhaps, I could go with him. Pondering, his thoughts echoed as his gaze closed with a silent air between them. Again, his attention returned to her after another question came to mind. "I can't let you go in there... But- I will, however, let everyone else know of this so we can deliver justice. Tell me- what was his reason for doing all of this? Do you remember?" questioned the all-serious ninja when he leaned back into his seat and put his leg back down off of his other.
"All I remember was that he wanted to give the quirkless a chance at becoming pro heroes too. He was also quirkless, but his genius was more welcomed than anything else he had to offer U.A. Although the methods he wanted to use were for the greater good, it was looked down on by everyone else and he was soon kicked out. I don't know his full reason, but that was what I saw and learned from him while we were in U.A together," With that answer, she watched Edgeshot stand up and sigh.
The adjustment of his attire proved how he needed to keep himself composed, considering the anger he felt inside tried to make itself known on his face. He needed to keep calm, his mind was full of thoughts of Uviel's doctor, and wanted to head to his lab right away. Though, he knew, it would be a bad idea. "Thank you, for your cooperation. Will you come with me, please? I'm sure Principle Nezu would love to hear this as well," When he asked, he watched her head nod and peek her black hues at his gray ones for a moment.
It wasn't long until she was unchained and unwrapped from his quirk, free to carry her Osmium Cannon. "I need flesh to recover my damages," Without even thinking, she raced past the ninja just to be stopped by a strand of red around her ankle. Looking down, then behind her at Edgeshot, a glare shot in his direction, and opened her mouth to protest.
"You're not going anywhere... Unless it's with me. I'll walk with you- since dragging that cannon with me will be a hassle. We're heading to U.A," He stated, rather annoyed that she chose to go ahead of him and ditch him. "You can eat rats or mice for all I care, but I won't let you eat other people," For once, he felt so disgusted at her at the mention of her feeding and held tightly onto her ankle. As he passed by her side, he felt her reluctantly follow along and glare daggers into the back of his head.
~~~~Yukimura~~~~

"Any news yet?" Questioned Shigaraki as he adjusted a black suit he hated the idea of wearing. How was I convinced to wear such a stupid thing? Grumbling, it was aggravating that he fell right into Toga's trap regarding how weddings were done. Earlier, she told me that Haru would love it if I wore a fucking suit. How could she even see me wearing this, anyway?! If I wasn't in a hurry right now, I would've crippled her throat until she choked and died over her own spit. Behind the hand over his face, his furious thoughts echoed like a swarm of bees until a voice reached his ears.

"Shigaraki," Quiet, there was no joy in her voice when Haru stated his name. She could feel him close by, adjusting his attire and the movement of his feet, even the sound from his steps. The brunette knew he looked up at her, because, as soon as his name was spoken she felt vibrations, they were very subtle but it told her he looked in her direction.

"Call me Tomura, from now on," Closer and closer he walked toward her bound form to see the look on her face. No devastation, no cheerful comebacks or teasing, he knew she was taking her situation more seriously now. He watched her head lift just slightly and not once did her lips curl up to smile at him, it strangely angered him.

"T-... Tomura. Why the hell are you going through with this? You don't seem the type to do this, dude. If anything, you'd be the type to hook me up with some random creep that kills for fun. What's the deal here?" Frowning, she questioned the leader and sensed slight movement from his feet. It was strange, she felt him lean close, too close for her comfort as he had before but this time she could almost feel his lips brush against hers. This frightened her, it didn't make sense as to why someone like him would go this far. She felt herself stiffen and her lips part as a faint hesitant gasp escaped.

"Because it would benefit the League... And me," At the last part, his voice almost gave off a tone that would send shivers down anyone's spine. Something that anyone would feel creeped out upon hearing, even the most cheerful and positive would crumble with insecurity from his words. Memories from before, how he would be close enough to kiss her, it became evident that he was serious.

"What do you mean by, 'And me'? Dude, the only benefit you'll get is a dagger to your neck. I wouldn't mind making you bleed, I'm sure even my darker side would love hearing your blood gush out and smell the iron in the air.~" It slipped, as she spoke and playfully threatened, her wicked smile curled her lips unintentionally. However, she was shocked to feel his barely touching lips curve into a satisfied grin.

"It doesn't matter if you threaten me, it's rather nice to see that side of you. Especially your smile... I'd kill just about anyone who would take that sinister grin away," Shigaraki felt so engrossed in how close he was, staring at her reflective scales that seem to thicken upon instinct. Watching her quirk harden her snake skin as if in defense of his possible aggression, however, he didn't even budge.

From his pocket, he pulled out his phone to call Kurogiri and heard him answer with formality. "Are you done?" Curious, impatient now, he adjusted the tie around his neck with discomfort all over his hidden face and grumbled.

"Yes, the Wedding Officiant is all set. I've found the location, would you like me to open a portal for you?" On the other side, Kuro asked. No ounce of care nor discomfort could be heard in his tone.

"Yeah... Go ahead," With that, he ended the call and the others began to gather close to their leader. Toga stood behind him while Dabbi simply lingered off to the side, which Tomura took notice of and glanced in his direction. "Toga," Over his shoulder, this time, he looked at the short blonde who chirped happily in response.

"Yes?!" An open mouth, her eyes sparkling with eagerness, she smiled brightly at their leader.

"Get her ready when we're there and don't let me see her until it's time. Dabbi needs to carry all of the glass Kurogiri wanted to bring," annoyed, he was, at the thought of the bartender going through the trouble of doing that. To him, it was a waste of time, and only felt like the drinks were a delay than a contribution. He said he wanted to at least enjoy a small party there, after the wedding, to congratulate us. Why the hell would he do that when he knows we'd be vulnerable to hero attacks?! Once it's over, I'll ignore the so-called party and head back here! I don't want those suffocating heroes around us to ruin everything! To his sides, his tight fists clenched, and pondered on plans he decided to put together at that moment. Hidden plans that made his determination spark in those red eyes.

Groaning, Dabbi practically rolled his eyes as he walked over to the bar and picked up one tray full of fancy glasses that could break with ease. Followed by Toga who decided to grab wine bottles and raced back to Shigaraki's backside with a giggle. With their hands full, it was up to Tomura to carry the brunette through the portal.

His red eyes darted between the two, then to Haru who sat in silence and listened to everything around her. As soon as the portal opened he walked over to her and picked the girl up bridal style, after removing the bindings around her waist. The restraints remained on her wrists behind her and on her ankles, for he knew extra cautionary measures were needed to keep her confined and from escaping like last time.

"Hey- you guys drinkin'? I smell alcohol in the air, or is that just the smell of this place?" Haru's nose sniffed the air and grinned at her own tease, only to hear a held-back chuckle that no one else could catch onto except her. It was Tomura, her sense of humor seems to be rubbing off onto him. She knew that he believed, she nor anyone else heard it since there was no sign of embarrassment or anger in his movements. Soon, she felt herself being hauled through the said portal and felt a gush of forestry air against her scales.

~~~~Elsewhere~~~~
"What's their location?!" In a quick vehicle, questioned Ryukyu as her voice echoed over the com during her flight in search for Haru. To say she was pleased would be a lie, for her contorted dragon face proved her concern and anger.
"Shota Aizawa informed me that he once placed a tracker somewhere on Yukimura when she was unconscious after she had returned. So, let me contact him to find out," Some anonymous over the phone, that was pressed against her ear between her shoulder, answered with haste and hung up.
Quickly she lowered the phone and looked below her to watch for any signs of the girl. All of the streets were nothing but people and some vehicles, but there weren't any hints as to where Haru was. We need to find her! I can't let a student of U.A fall into the hands of villains! Despite her calm and focused features, her mind was heavily worried about the girl. Ryukyu didn't care if Haru was a stranger, the fact that she was a student among dangerous villains put her a little over the edge. On her backside, rode a dark man with dreadlocks and a hero outfit with locks on his shoulders.
"That girl's nothing but trouble! How in the world did she manage to attract villains of all people?!" Angry, behind that golden mask over his eyes, conflict emotions glinted. However, just knowing that a child aspiring to be a hero was taken out of the blue and her location was unknown, he felt furious. A potential hero soon to be ruined by the hands of a villain, their life flipped upside down; anyone would be angry.
"I don't know," Answered the dragon, not once did her eyes avert from the streets. Suddenly, when her phone began to ring again, she saw it was the same person she spoke with and clicked the green button. "Yes? Anything?" As soon as she asked, the person's voice wasted no time to explain.
"I spoke with Aizawa and it turns out, he's with Saito. A student who was rendered unconscious by the mysterious hacker villain! Anyway- he checked the location and told me that they were somewhere at the Gates of Ruin in the Amazon forest. The good hacker that was hired to help me, went out of his way to quickly check the coordinates! It's due east, of the Amazon Forest once you reach there!" In a hurry, urgency filled their voice before the sound of murmurs and other devices resonated in the background.
"Alright, thank you!" With a simple click, the call ended and her phone was securely put into her costume. "The Amazon forest, Rock Lock. They took her to the Gates of Ruin in that forest! It shouldn't take too long to get there but I sure hope we make it in time!" As fast as she could, her wings flapped, and felt Rock's hands tighten on her outfit to hold on.
~~~~Haru~~~~

She could hear all of the birds in the trees and feel the rough stone beneath her feet when she was placed inside a cold, separate room. So this is the Ruins they talked about? It smells like rain and a ton of grass. Bro, I feel like I'm a part of an Indiana Jones movie now, hahaha! In her mind, she joked and giggled to herself in an attempt to lighten her own mood. The tight bindings around her ankles and wrists could be felt, as she wiggled a little to feel around with her toes.

"Wow, you look so pretty! Now all I need to do is your hair!" Cheered Toga who continued to daydream about a bloody romantic wedding. "Now, sit down!~" It wasn't hidden, every ounce of her gushes was exposed through her tone of voice and the heat on her cheeks.

Slowly, she sat down on a chair that was pulled up behind her thanks to the blonde. "Hey, if you untie me we can play Rock Paper Scissors! Oh, and if you want blood- why not let me cause a scene before the Officiant can even finish his lines.~" Haru sure hoped that what she said, would scare her a little bit but unfortunately her plans had backfired.

"Oh, that would be so wholesome! Can you just imagine all of the blood?! The Officiant's blood on the ground with a knife in your hand, before even exchanging the kiss to finalize your marriage! EEEEE!" Squealing, the blonde gushed at the idea of a bloody wedding and could imagine the red all over her white and yellow dress that Haru now wore.

She actually agrees?! Well, that shouldn't have been a surprise. From that, her blind hues rolled, and shook her head. However, images of breaking free from her bind and escaping into the forest brought the idea of saving herself. I don't think any heroes will come to save me... Who would? I'm seen as a villain by a lot of people now. Gloom, fell over her head when she pondered what the citizens spoke about her and how she killed low-ranking anonymous heroes pretty easily in the mall. I'm a monster... It wasn't long until depression filled her filmy eyes and her head to droop, for she paid no mind to Toga who pulled her hair back.

"Hey, don't be sad! You look so pretty! Pretty and deadly!" The girl's hands stroked Haru's brown bangs to adjust them accordingly to the hairstyle. Her low ponytail which was once stuffed inside the hood of her costume, was pulled out of the rubber band and fixed into a fancy bun. Her bangs were left to dangle but parted neatly to the side to frame her hardly scaly face. "There, all done! You won't be able to see what you look like, but Shigaraki will be so pleased!" From a clap of her hands, Toga cooed and ran around the front to admire her work. "Come on, they're waiting!" This time, out from her attire came a small knife to cut the bindings from her feet.

It wasn't long until she guided the tall girl through a cracked entryway and what Haru could make out, was a stone path to a large clearing. "This way!" She heard her voice again. Carefully, she walked. The vibrations around her, the sounds, the smell, Haru concluded that they were in some sort of clearing in front of the main part of the ruins. Cause the sound around her seemed to bounce off walls further away and back to her, then into the room she just left.

Shigaraki, who stood in front of the Officiant and remained in his formal attire, felt his breath hitch at her beauty. Her lovely white and yellow dress, the golden with tad bits of white shoes, was put on as soon as she reached Toga again; the jeweled necklace the blonde had placed on her, glinted a forest green. He saw that her long bangs were pulled to the side, which made her face as clear as possible, showing off the beautiful reflective scales on her cheeks and the shine on her lips from the faint lip gloss. For once in his life, he felt his face turn red hot at how lovely she looked. Of course, he quickly put one of his face accessories on to hide it before anyone could notice.

Dabbi cleared his throat to look away, feeling a bit awkward sitting on the sidelines and waiting for it to be over. He and Toga also wore their formal outfits, it made the blonde as happy as can be to know they did. "Doesn't she just look so deadly and pretty! Just look at her eyes, they could change at any given moment and cast fear into us!" Toga gushed as soon as she stood next to Shigaraki and cupped her own cheeks at the fantasy flowing through her head.

"I- Is this her? Wa- Wait, yes it is! Of course, it is!" The Officiant's trembling voice reached the brunette's ears when he kept his eyes on the approaching girl. Finally, when he saw that she stood across Tomura, his shaky hands pulled out two rings and a book of verses to follow.

Haru, however, was too caught into her own thoughts that she didn't pay much attention to the man's words in front of her. Plans of escape, opportunities, and her skills could be of use. As soon as he asks me to do my vow I'll knock him unconscious! Wait... Or, I could scare Shigaraki to the point of changing his mind.~ Torturing him, making him regret ever wanting to set this all up.~ It wasn't long until her signature, sinister grin curled her lips and exposed those snake fangs.

Kill them... Kill them all! Who cares if you don't have your dagger? Kill them with your bare hands! Kill- kill- kill! At that moment, she felt her own body move. All on its own, those filmy hues were soon replaced with her slits that instantly cast fear into the Officiant. The bindings on her wrists were cut loose from constantly scratching at the rope's material, for it fell to the ground and a single hand outstretched.

Shigaraki watched the transition go from her once calm face to 'kill mode', it astonished him. As though it were all in slow motion, he looked into those slits that he found strangely fascinating. However, a ting of fear filled his senses but not enough to keep him in place as it had before.

Tight around the man's throat, her mouth parted and her fangs pierced the poor man. Blood sprayed the ground when she jerked her head away and let him fall to the ground, dead. Gradually, those very slits peeked at the groom and the two others who stared bewildered at the display. "What's wrong?~ Did I scare you? Who would want to marry someone that could kill them with their back turned? A blind girl who can see with every touch, every sound and smell? Like a predator in the dark... Heheheh, come on. Come to your senses! No one would want to marry a monster.~" Blood painted her lips and down her dress as she began to sway from side to side.

Dabbi was taken aback by the sudden death of the Officiant, even more so by the murderous woman who threatened them. But her actions weren't enough to scare him let alone make him concerned over the situation. Toga on the other hand screamed and squealed like a fangirl over a celebrity, with comedic hearts popping above her head; wiggling like a flag in the wind.

Swiftly, she avoided Shigaraki and was about to run at full speed at Toga to knock her out until a hand grabbed onto her arm. Just barely, his fingers held tightly, and did his best not to use his quirk on her. As soon as she was yanked closer to him and forcibly turned around, she came face to face with his red eyes.

This astonished her only for a moment, which was soon replaced with an act after her grin grew. "Look at you, you're so shocked that you can't speak! Am I that scary?" Not once did her snake slits revert to her blind hues, for she continued to believe he was frightened by her quirk only for a slow realization to hit. The fact that he managed to move and grab her, just before she ran at her full speed. Her once sinister grin fell into a frown when his astonished features changed to seriousness, staring deeply.

"No... You're not," Quickly from the ground, he carefully picked up one of the two rings and scooted it onto her finger that he lifted up. "You're not a monster, you're someone who's afraid to live their damn life! I just want to make you accept that part of yourself! If people are afraid of you then so what? I sure as hell am not!" With that he yanked her closer against him and gave her a smile once the hand on his face was removed; one that his flaky lips hadn't opened to even show his pearly whites.

"How the hell are you not afraid of me?! Not afraid of my eyes?! I'm a monster!" Thrashing, jerking her arms and body away from him, she went into a panic over something that never made much sense. Only Hitoshi learned how to overcome my eyes, so how is he not afraid of them?! I hardly used them on him! Frantic, her thoughts screamed in fear but paused when she saw through her slits, how close he came in to kiss her. The other ring, within a second she noticed was on his own finger and believed everything was going to end for her.

Hopelessness filled her mind for a second, dread and fear, of losing everything she worked so hard for. Her life with her friends, those who accepted her, those who were trying and are still trying to help her overcome the trauma from her father. The whispers that Hitoshi helped her realize were just defensive measures that her body made her go through. Even her reputation of trying to become a hero. Everything... It was all about to fall into the drain with just a simple kiss to seal the marriage...

Until... One sound reached her ears. Just when his lips brushed against hers, a thud echoed behind her, and three around Shigaraki weren't able to move. "Shigaraki, they're here!" Screamed out Dabbi who saw a dark man land behind Toga and touch her shoes. Just before he could slash out his flames, the man raced at him rather quickly and gave him no time to react. For he felt his shoes and sleeves become locked in place, rendering him immobile.

Next, it was Kurogiri's turn. He did his best to use his portals but it all happened too fast, every piece of his outfit was locked into place with several touches of the man's fingers.

Whipping around, Tomura's astonished hues watched Rock Lock race after him and touch his shoes as well, then grabbed the bloodied brunette before he could even react.

Over to an incoming Ryukyu, he leaped as high as he could and tossed her to the dragon girl. It wasn't long after that when he was picked up by her other hand and flew high into the sky. "Why are you all bloody, girl?!" Hollered Rock as he climbed further onto Ryu and rode on her back. "Let's hurry before my quirk wears off!" Through gritted teeth, he demanded and watched Ryu's speed increase before reeling Haru up out of the dragon's grip. He paid her no mind after he saw that she was secure in his hold and held tightly onto the other hero.

Yukimura was too taken aback, too dumbfounded at the timing. In a split second her life would've been thrown down the drain but it wasn't. In fact, that split second was all it took to be saved. In Rock Lock's hold, she remained as still as possible, with an occasional glance at the two who barged in.

"Hey, sorry that we're late! You did a great job stalling them, too! Did you kill that man and his blood got on you, or... Did one of the others kill him?" In her peripherals, Ryukyu looked at the bewildered brunette's now filmy eyes that were once slits. No answer, so with concern filling her mind she returned her gaze to the front to watch where she was flying. She's too much in shock right now it seems. I'll have to ask later. The dragon concluded in her mind before picking up more speed.

Back in the ruins, Shigaraki and the others were still immobile. Though that didn't stop Tomura's rage from showing on his face and raising his head to the sky. Out came a frustrated scream that just about anyone would want to hide from, until he calmed down enough to think. "What a pain in the ass... I'll get her next time, for sure. There won't be a wedding next time though... No, I'll just slip the ring on and seal the deal in the future," Agitation was obvious to the three others when his fingers began to scratch at his neck. She'll be mine, eventually... His last thought lingered, quiet like a whisper in the back of his mind.
