The four dogs make it to the warehouse, which was about 20 minutes away from the spot Dodger and Rose had been taken. This part of Manhattan wasn't the friendliest place to be caught in, so it left the Dodger and Rose on edge.

"This way," Jasper said, turning towards the two mutts behind him and Dasher. Jasper and Dasher led them inside the warehouse, where Brutus was waiting for them.

"My liege, we have caught the mutts you requested," Dasher said, bowing down. Brutus turned around to face his subordinates. "Excellent work. I wish to speak to the female alone. Take the male away," Brutus chuckled sinisterly.

Dodger tensed up and barked, "No! We're staying together!" Brutus was surprised by the terrier's loyalty. "Shut your muzzle! Don't speak unless you're spoken to!" Jasper growled at him.

"Jasper, Dasher, Samson, leave. Take him with you and make sure he doesn't escape," Brutus commanded.

Rose didn't feel comfortable being alone with this stranger. "Dodger?" she whimpered, cowering down a bit.

"I won't be far, Rose," the terrier said, giving her an assuring look. Rose didn't want to be separated from him.

Rose watched Dasher and Jasper take Dodger away out of the room, leaving her alone with Brutus. "So, you're the she-dog that attacked my subordinate, Dasher," Brutus replied.

Rose couldn't say anything. "Hmm… I see you're speechless," Brutus said, starting to flirt with the young dog.

Rose saw what Brutus was doing and showed that she was not okay with his advances. "What do you want from me and from my friend?" Rose stammered, noticing how big the cane corso mix was compared to herself.

He was bigger than her father. "I'd like to make you an offer," he told her softly.

"I'm not interested. I want to leave with my friend," Rose said, having a strong distaste in her mouth.

"But you haven't even heard my offer. I have heard the way you handled those humans back there. It surprised me that such a fine street dog such as yourself could handle such nuisances. You see, I'm one of the finest leaders that these streets have ever seen. I've achieved my leadership with a pack, but there's one thing I'm missing," he explained, circling her like she was his prey.

"Wh-What's that?" Rose gulped, her stomach starting to churn. Her tail was tucked between her hind legs. Brutus lowered his muzzle to Rose's pointed ear.

"A mate. I'm offering you a once in a lifetime chance to become my mate and become my queen," he whispered. Rose jumped back when he uttered those words. "Are you insane!? I'm not an adult!" she barked, acknowledging her age, being only ten months of age.

"But you are matured, which is the suitable age for a male. Just think, our pups would be the best heirs to carry on my bloodline," Brutus said, smugly smirking.

Rose wanted to be sick. This dog was absolutely repulsive to even ask a pup to be his mate! She was too young for any of that.

"I'm never going to become your mate! I don't know where you got that idea from but you're sick in the head!" Rose barked, growling at the bigger dog.

"Well, I can keep you until you've reached adulthood then, if it suits you. You'll be locked away with the other prisoner in my clutches," Brutus told her.

Rose was shocked. What did he mean 'other prisoner'? "Other than my friend, who is in here?" she said.

"Jasper! Bring in the other prisoner!" Brutus shouted, looking off to the right. Just then, Rose saw Jasper bring in… much to her horror, her brother Kaiden.

Jasper was carrying him by the neck hide and he dropped him hard on the floor. Rose couldn't believe that this monster was holding her twin brother captive in this awful place.

Is this where he's been the whole time? She had to find out. "Is he a friend of yours? You know him from the look on your face," Brutus asked.

Kaiden rolled over onto his belly and saw his long-lost sister in front of him, just a few car lengths away. "Sis!?" Kaiden cried out.

"Kaiden!" Rose called out, wanting nothing more now than to run to him.

"Oh, so you're brother and sister, I see. That makes things even better," Brutus chuckled. "What do you want me to do with him, Brutus?" Jasper asked, standing over the frightened male shepherd mix.

"Take him away," Brutus said. Jasper reluctantly nodded and picked Kaiden back up roughly and he was carried out of there. "Why is he here!? You better not have hurt him!" Rose growled furiously.

"That is not your business. Now, do we have an answer on my offer?" Brutus replied dismissively. Rose had had enough of this.

"BITE ME! Like I said, I will NEVER become your mate! My heart is set for someone else!" she snarled. Brutus was beginning to lose his patience.

"I see… Your heart is set for that other mutt that was brought in with you. That can be arranged… Dasher!" Brutus barked.

Dasher comes in. "Yes, my liege?" he said respectfully. "Bring my future mate to her darling brother. She has her heart set on the male we brought in. We'll take care of him personally," Brutus commanded, still having his mind made up about Rose becoming his mate despite her rejecting him twice.

Dasher grinned down at the she-dog. "Don't mind if I do," he said, picking Rose up by her neckhide, biting through her bandana.

"Hey! Put me down! Put me down!" she growled, struggling to get loose as she was being lifted in the air.

"S'ut y'ur mouff!" Dasher said, voice muffled from holding Rose in his mouth.

Dasher brought Rose into another room that Kaiden was being held in. He dropped her on the floor, making her land on her side.

"Ow!" she yelped, feeling pain in her ribs. "Now, don't try any funny business. Or, Brutus won't be so gentle with you," Dasher warned.

He turned to leave the room. "Coward! I'll tear you to pieces like I did that last time!" Rose growled, jumping to her paws with her teeth bared and her hackles raised.

The door was blocked off by an old dresser that kept them in. When things got quiet, Rose turned towards her shaking brother.

Tears rose in her eyes and she walked over to him. "Kaiden… I thought I'd never see you again…" she said to him, laying her head on his as if to hug him.

"Sister… Rose…" Kaiden whimpered, tucking his head underneath her chin. Rose laid down next to him.

"How long have you been here?" Rose asked him. "F-For a few months… I want to get out of here…" Kaiden whimpered, snuggling his sister for comfort.

Rose put her head on Kaiden's protectively. "We will get out of here, my brother. I'm not going to lose you again. I know my gang will come to save me and Dodger," she said optimistically.

"Dodger? W-Who's Dodger?" Kaiden wondered, glancing up at her. Rose blushed when he asked that.

"He's an old friend… I met him a little bit after we got separated…" she replied, feeling herself become hot.

During the last few months, she saw Dodger as more than just her friend. But… she didn't know if he would have the same feelings as her.

Right now, she needed to focus on how to get herself, Kaiden, and Dodger out of there before these brutes did anything to them.
