After establishing that Taisho was, in fact, a certified teacher, Kagome spent the rest of the week getting him acclimated to the school and his classroom.

It turned out he was not only a classically trained archer but also an accomplished painter, working the students through basic sketches to watercolour scenery based on reality and myth alike. She'd checked in on the class at first but was quickly deterred by the students, most claiming they wanted to wait until their projects were finished before showing them to her.

Kagome harboured no ill will and had waved them off with a laugh, telling them to set up an art gallery so the rest of the school could admire their work. The request was met with cheers as she exited the room, the students buzzing about where they would set it up.

She was so bombarded with questions from the following classes, each having been put in charge of a different part of the gallery, that she hadn't realized the sun had disappeared behind ominous, dark clouds, rain pelting the ground by the time the final bell rang.

Kagome cursed under her breath, knowing she should've brought her extra umbrella. She'd brought it home last week for the same reason but kept passing by it in the foyer without actually picking it up.

Sighing, she ran her fingers through her hair, knowing she'd have to create a makeshift hood to keep the rain from ruining her hard work. She only ever bothered with the simplest makeup, spending most of her time meticulously straightening her hair every morning before coming to work.
