Phase 11: Waterside Pt 3
The trio is in the boat going through the cavern to see all the pointed rocks hanging from the ceiling. "Gee Leon, doesn't this seem so romantic?" Makoto asked her to get close to her boyfriend. The place has a calming air here.
"Yeah without the whole killing infected stuff," Leon said dryly.
"Yeah, wish we can go on a date after this is over. Go to a nice dinner theater, watch a movie, and get some good food too," Makoto said.
"It would be nice; I need to catch up with my movie selections. I have not seen the latest Star Wars movie yet," Leon said.
"Seriously dude, you didn't see Episode 3. You are missing out, things get crazy in that movie," Ark said.
"I bet, we can rent it along with other movies when we get back," Leon said to Makoto.
"Oh, that would be nice too," Makoto said as she slips into her memories about one of their dates in the past.
-Flashback Begins-
In the spring of 2002, Makoto is awaiting by her apartment complex to wait for her boyfriend to pick her up to head to an arcade called Galaxy Fair. She sees him coming up by the sidewalk. "Looking good there sweetheart," Leon said as Makoto is wearing a blue sundress fitting her curves very well, especially her chest and hips.
"Thanks, you look handsome," she flirted to sport a red glow on her snow-white face to see him wearing a green shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers fitting his tall well-built frame.
"Feelings are mutual," Leon said for he smiles from her flirting.
"What to play some games?" she asked as she gets inside the car to speed towards the location. "This is a cool arcade that opened not too long ago. They have a lot of new cabinets there," Makoto said.
"That would be cool," Leon said as they go down the street.
"There got all kinds of game cabinets there like fighting games to racing games to shooter games," Makoto said.
"Sounds good to me," Leon said as the couple drives up to a large building with a colorful sign called Galaxy's Fair on the front entrance. They go into the parking lot to park the car there as they go towards the building.
"Seems big," he said.
"Perfect, there will be lots of games to play," Makoto said.
"I haven't played video games for a while now, my PlayStation 2 is getting lonely at home," Leon said.
"It's not the only thing that is lonely for a long time," Makoto said under her breath.
"You said something Makoto?" he asked not hearing what she said as she dismissively waves her hands in front of her.
"Oh nothing," she said trying to cover herself up as they go inside to see it's quite spacious inside the buildings with many different types of games to choose from.
"Wow, so many games," Leon said.
"So, you are a gamer?" she asked.
"Yep, how about you?" he asked.
"Oh yeah I got a PS2 myself, I love some JRPGs like Final Fantasy and Tales of Series," Makoto said to poof out her chest to feel proud of herself.
"Me too, I got getting into some Crash Bandicoot and it's tough as hell," Leon said.
"Oh yeah it's a quite tough platformer," Makoto said.
"There is this platformer called Spyro with you controlling a dragon," Leon said as Makoto's blue eyes lit up at this.
"I saw an ad for it in the PlayStation magazine and Spyro looks so cute. The game seems pretty fun too," Makoto said.
"It's nice meeting a girl who knows her games," he said.
"Well, I got teased by the other girls when I was in high school for liking video games," she said.
"They are idiots for bullying a girl who wants to do something different," Leon said as Makoto's heart feels fuzzy hearing the sweet words in her ears.
"Of course, come on. Let's go," Makoto said as they begin playing all sorts of games with the duo playing a fighting game with Makoto getting an edge.
There were tied 3-3 with the last match being the tiebreaker. The match is intense with combos and dodges making the fight quite fast-paced but in the end, Makoto manages to win.
"That was tough, you are pretty good at it," he said.
"You are not bad yourself. Getting your gamer vibes back?" she asked.
"Yep, my reflexes are fine-tuned by years of practice," Leon said.
"Oh, how about that racing game over there," Makoto said as they go over to more games. "How about this game," Makoto said as he points to a game of Pac-Man for they get in a few games trying to get the high score. Leon is on the controls for Makoto taps him with her hips getting his attention to beam him a pretty smile.
"Hey Makoto, I need to focus," Leon said as Makoto is teasing him with her body.
"Sure, keep your eyes on the ball," Makoto said as he finishes the game. "So how about this one," Makoto said as she points to another one for them to be playing Street Fighter 2.
"Gee how many versions Capcom is going to release on this game," Leon joked as Makoto laughs at this.
"I know right, it's getting silly at this point," Makoto said as they both picked their characters and begin to fight. Leon is on the controls for Makoto taps him with her hips getting his attention and showing him a pretty smile.
"Hey Makoto, you are cheating," Leon said.
"Using my assets isn't cheating, it's my edge," she said as her nice cleavage is shaking from her movement as Leon is staring at them.
"Damn girl, they are soft and round," he thought to see her deep cleavage showing on her sundress.
"Okay, I win the match," Makoto said as this snapped Leon out of his trance.
"Those assets are powerful indeed," he said as Makoto cross her arms under her bust to make them look even bigger to distract him once again.
"I am quite gifted in more ways than one," she said with a smirk on her face for she hears her stomach growling with her face turning bright red from embarrassment. "I am quite hungry," she said for they go over to the food court to grab a pepperoni pizza to share it.
Makoto sits at a booth to see all the families going on with their lives without knowing the truth of the immoral experiments Umbrella is doing. They look so happy and yet they don't know all the rot that is within this world," Makoto said.
"I know, Umbrella has a tight grip on things despite the court case. It's like a poison that is choking out the truth from this world, hiding it in plain sight," Leon said.
"It's sad really, I became an agent to help and save people. So, no one would go through what I did back in Haze," Makoto said as he takes her chin to meet her eyes with his own.
"You put too much on your shoulders. I and Ark are here along with others who will be helpful to us in the future," Leon said in a comforting tone placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.
"You are right, we can do this. I survived this long and I will keep fighting for everyone's sake," Makoto said thinking about her friends and family lost to this growing nightmare.
"That's my girl," Leon said with a playful wink as Makoto smiles at this.
"Sorry for being a downer," she said.
"It's okay if you need a shoulder to worry about. I am always available," he said as Makoto looks down with a blush on her face.
"Why is he so sweet to me," Makoto thought.
"The food is good here too," Leon said enjoying a pizza they are sharing to change the subject.
"Indeed, the pizza is amazing. It tastes better with others sharing it," Makoto said as she is chewing on her slice.
"Hey what do your parents do for jobs if I mind asking?" he asked to be very curious about it.
"Oh well, my father was a former Army Ranger and retired. He became a firearms instructor for people who want to go for self-defense," Makoto said.
"Interesting, how about your mother?" he asked.
"She worked as a nurse supervisor in the Haze General Hospital, she oversees the nurses putting them in their duties along with other management tasks," she said.
"Your down-of-earth manner makes sense," Leon said.
"Yes, we are not wealthy but we lived comfortably. That is for sure. how about you? What do your parents do?" she asked to finish her slice to wash it down with some berry juice.
"I never knew my parents. I was an orphan," Leon said as Makoto is saddened by this.
"Oh, I am sorry," Makoto said.
"No, it's okay. There is nothing to be sad about, I have no memories of them. You, Ark, Sherry, and the others are part of my family," Leon said.
"Yeah, everyone got something to deal with. I will make you happy as best I can, honey," Makoto said to tap him on the nose.
"I am counting on your sweetheart," Leon said as Makoto feels him a bright smile that puts his mind and heart at ease.
They both finished their meal as Makoto pats her flat stomach to let out a cute burp. "Oh boy, that was very good," she said.
"Ditto, let's finish up here," Leon said as Makoto happily nodded her head. The day passes by as the sun is setting against the horizon with the duo heading for the car.
"That was so much fun baby," Makoto said.
"Indeed, it was fun. We should go here again, hopefully with more game cabinets," Leon said.
"That I bet will be more in a few months. More fighting games would be nice," Makoto said as they head back home to enjoy their time together with more to come.
-Flashback Ends-
Makoto is dwelling in her sweet memories as Ark snaps her out of it. "You thinking about something?" Ark asked.
"Well yes, one of my dates with Leon. He was so sweet and smooth," Makoto said.
"Must be pleasant, I will keep that record once we get out of here," Leon said as they find a dock to park the boat to exit out of it. They see they are nearby the quarry site where that weird door was holding a bioweapon of huge size.
"Well, we are back here. Hopefully, we don't find anything else weird," Ark said as they go up to see they are in a fishing hub with a cabin nearby to see a familiar face.
"Welcome my favorite customers," the shopkeeper said.
"You again, how did you get here?" Makoto asked.
"That is a trade secret missy, got anything interesting to sell to me?" the shopkeeper asked as they placed down pieces of gold that he is interested in. "Oh, goodies for me and goodies for you. I have a bunch of ammo, grenades, and weapons you can choose from," he said.
"I need a better scope for this rifle," Makoto said as the shopkeeper shows her a combat scope that has a powerful zoom from 4 to 8 times.
"This will make you shoot your shots straighter and longer. I will even sell you a bipod for it," the shopkeeper said as he put together Makoto's R700 rifle. "Here you go, nice and clean," the shopkeeper said.
"Thanks," Makoto said as they gather their ammo, grenades, and supplies.
"Oh stranger, come back anytime. Oh, by the way, there is a powerful bioweapon in the rock quarry that is leading back to the bridge. Approach with caution," the shopkeeper said as they exited out of the door to head back to the rock quarry.
"Gee, what are we going to face now," Leon said as they go into the area to see the gates are getting closed.
"Well, this is a trap," Ark said as they drew out their weapons with a red hooded figure standing above them on a set of rocks. He is wielding a red light which makes the gate nearby shake violently. The hooded man is chanting some words as the gate bust open to reveal a huge muscular humanoid called an El Gigante.
"Oh boy, this guy is huge," Makoto said as the giant roared at them to begin swinging its huge arms at them. They roll away to begin pouring rounds into its body but it's shrugging their shots off.
"Gee, this guy makes Tyrants look like shrimps," Ark said as he is using his MAC-10 to pepper the thick hide of the beast but it keeps going trying to crush them.
Its violent roar shook the area, Leon's ears ringing from this. He is stunned for a moment for the giant grabs onto Leon trying to crush him. "Leon no, you big brute. Let him go," Makoto fires onto its face to make it be distracted for a moment.
Leon stabs his combat knife into its hand to make it drop him onto the ground. Ark tosses a frag grenade to blast it to make a back away for a moment. "Thanks for the save," Leon said as he gets back onto his feet.
"My pleasure, come on. Let's take this big guy out," Makoto said as she uses her revolver to pump rounds into its chest and face.
El Gigante grabs one of the huts and tosses it at the trio. "Oh shit," they roll under the flying debris to crash into the stone walls to shatter on impact.
"Gee, this is nuts," Leon said as he tosses a grenade which explodes to make the giant groan in pain to be on one knee. Then a Plagas erupts out of its back for Leon comes onto its back to use his knife to stab and slash into the disgusting worm-like creature.
Leon leaps off the beast with the others firing their shots into the body and the Plagas still there. "Seems like that's its weak point. Focus on that," Makoto said as the bullets are flying but El Gigante takes another house to toss it at them.
"Gee, more houses to dodge," Ark said as the trio look up to see a familiar white dog on top of a rock formation to howls into the sky.
"Hey, it's that dog from before," Leon said as the white dog leaps onto the ground to aid them by distracting the giant. The dog is weaving through the giant's attacks when it gets hit by the giant's foot knocking the dog onto the dirt.
The dog is okay to get back up to draw the beast away from the others. El Gigante charges at the dog with the canine slipping through its legs and the giant smashing into a stone wall. Some of the rocks fall onto the beast to knock it down.
"That's a good boy," Makoto said as they all their weapons into the wormy Plagas which is vulnerable. They keep shooting it until it finally dies which makes the giant violently scream and swing its body around.
"Watch out," Leon said as the dying giant falls towards them They dodge the incoming fall as the beast made a big thud which shook the whole quarry. "Good riddance," Leon said as Makoto went over to pet the dog to see if he is okay.
"Okay, thanks for the help buddy," Makoto said to see the dog barking happily at them to run away.
"It's only a straight shot to get Ashley back. Can't wait to see her Ark?" Leon teases his best friend.
"Yeah, I hope she is okay," Ark said as he can't wait to see Ashley's pretty smile.
"Well time to head for the church," Leon said as they managed to go towards the church with no trouble to be able to save the president's daughter.
