Roboticized Eve Saga Episode 1: Fate Interrupted

At the Arctic Tundra…

"The Death Egg arrived a few days ago. Eggman's forces took a few days to secure the arena, putting that bunker at the end of the only safe path we could take. Then he settled into the water so his Orca Could begin repairs and start restocking," Guntiver says.

A short distance away, Sonic, Eve, and the Freedom Fighters Group along with the Arctic Freedom Fighters are seeing the Death Egg.

Guntiver looks through the binoculars, "I've never seen the doctor act so cautiously. You've really stuck some fear into him."

"He better be afraid! We've tracked him all over the planet, and now he's cornered. There's no distractions up here!" Sonic says.

"And now, it's time we put an end to this," Eve says.

Tails turns to Guntiver, "We appreciate the help, Guntiver."

"It's been my leisure and honor," Guntiver says.

Then asks, "What's the plan for Eggman? Along with that Mecha Sally robot?"

"T-Pup has the Tornado prepped for Take-off and keeping Mecha Sally disabled. We've got… someone working on the next step back home…" Tails says.

Seeing Amy freezing, Sonic says, "C'mon, Amy. Erma loaned you some clothes, and you're still cold?"

"We're in the Northern Tundra, Sonic! Of course I'm cold!" Amy says with a frown.

"You're wearing the most of any of us," Sonic remarks.

Amy angrily says, "I'm a delicate lady! I chill easily!"

"Don't worry Amy, we'll get this mission done soon enough," Eve says.

Soon enough, the Freedom Fighters begin to sneak towards the Dark Egg Legion's base.

"Are we all set?" Guntiver asks.

"Yup!" Flip answers, "Just waiting for Erma's signal that she's cut the Bunker's alarms. We don't need Eggman knowing we're here too soon, do we now?"

Just then, the Eggman sign that first read 'Get Lost' in red writing, changes to green that reads 'Welcome.'

"There's the Signal!" Sonic says, "Freedom Fighters! Let's Do It, To It!"

And with that, The Freedom Fighters group charges in for the attack.

Sonic and Eve both spin dash through the walls of the fortress, and the others begin to attack the robots. More of Eggman's Badniks charge in, but Sonic, Eve, Amy and the other Freedom Fighters attack the robots with their strength and weapons. Amy smashes them with her Hammer, Sonic spin dashes, and Eve uses her sword to cut them down to size.

Suddenly, Eve feels a strong pain from her cybernetic arm, and is clenching it. She grits her teeth in pain as she looks to see electricity is flowing at her arm.

"Wha-what's happening…" Eve mutters to herself in shock.

Eve turns to see more Badniks charging at them, and Eve spins dashes at them. Eve also uses her Chaos Energy to destroy them.

"I think we got all of them," Amy says.

"That's good. The sooner we deal with Eggman, the sooner we can head back to New Mobotropolis," Sonic says.

He then turns to see Eve clenching her arm and grits her teeth, but soon calms down.

"What's wrong, sis?" Sonic asks.

Eve takes a deep breath to calm herself, "It's nothing, one of the robots hit my arm, but I'm fine now."

"If you say so," Sonic says.

"Sure," Eve says with a smile.

But her mind is in distress, "What's happening to me?"

Meanwhile, at New Mobotropolis, a special ceremony is taking place.

Nicole says, "I hereby present the Newly- reported Castle Acorn!"

And with that together, Nicole and Rotor cut the ribbon to open the newly restored Castle Acorn. Just as the ribbon is cut, strange static begins to appear around the castle, causing the castle to crumble.

Rotor notices it, "What's going on?!"

"I-I don't know!" Nicole says.

She cries out to the crowd, "Everybody get back!"

"First the power station, now this! Did the foundation fall out? Is the pit expanding?" Rotor asks, shocked.

Nicole begins to use her powers to help with the structure, "Nnngh… no. Something is interfering with the Nanites! Coding is being erased, signals are being jammed, and some are self-destructing!" and struggles to hang in there. "There! I managed to stabilize the matrix. I'll… I'll fix it… once I figure out what's going on."

Cream, Cosmo, Maria, and Galaxina watch as they wonder what could have happened to the castle.

Just then, Cheese flies over with the Tails doll as he calls out, "Chao Chao!"

Cream and the girls turn to see Cheese flying over with Chocola and the doll.

"Cheese!" Cream calls out, "You found the doll I've been taking care of!"

Cream then takes the doll and scolds it, "Bad dolly! I'm trying to take care of you and find your owner, and you keep disappearing!…"

Then Maria realizes something, "Wait Cream…"

Cream turns to Maria, "What is it?"

"Can you give Cheese the doll and tell him to take it home?" Maria asks.

"Um okay," Cream says.

Cream passes the doll to Cheese, "Cheese would you mind taking the doll home for me?"

"Chao," Cheese says, taking the doll.

"Thank you," Cream says.

And with that, Cheese and Chocola flies away with the Tails doll.

"What's going on Maria?" Cosmo asks, "You look rather pale."

"I don't know why, but I'm getting a strange feeling about that doll," Maria says.

"What do you mean?" Cosmo asks.

Maria sighs and says, "Well, everytime that doll disappears and when it's around, something ends up getting destroyed," Maria says.

Galaxina soon realizes, "You're right. Remember what happened at the Civic Center. We had no idea how the Civic Center had been destroyed."

"And remember when the Tails Doll disappeared during Eggman's invasion. I heard Nicole say that the Shield Generator was somehow destroyed. Charles Manic, Sonia, and Rotor weren't able to figure out how it melted," Cosmo says.

"And at Mina's concert! I couldn't find the Tails' doll and the stage was being destroyed right in front of us," Cream says, realizing the pattern herself.

"You think the doll has something to do with it?" Cosmo asks.

"It's possible. In fact, Cream, didn't you say that you've found that doll sometime after Eggman's other invasion, and it has this strange antenna," Galaxina says.

Cream gasps, "You think it could be one of Eggman's robots?"

"It's possible. We gotta tell Rotor," Maria says.

Soon, the girls rush over to where Rotor and Nicole are.

Cream calls out, "Mr. Rotor! Mr. Rotor! We think we know what's causing problems with the Nanites!"

"Oh?" Rotor replies confused.

"You see, sometime after Eggman's attack on the city, we found a doll shaped like tails, and we kept it safe because we thought it belonged to someone…" Cream says.

"But the doll keeps vanishing…" Galaxina says.

"And everytime the doll is around or it disappears somewhere, something gets destroyed," Maria adds.

And Cosmo says, "And we're starting to think that it's really an Evil Doll made by Dr. Eggman."

"And we think that's what's making the nanites fall apart!" Cream adds.

The girls soon look at each other.

"That… um… sounds more convincing in our heads," Cream says.

"Yes. It sounds unbelievable," Maria says.

But Rotor says, "No apologies, girls." He then reasures them, "That's very observant of you girls, and it sounds crazy enough for an Eggman Scheme." And then asks, "Where's the doll now?"

"Cheese and Chocola are taking it back to my house," Cream says.

"But what are we going to do with it?" Cosmo asks.

But Rotor has an idea, "Then, here's what we're going to do…"

Back in the Arctic Tundra, Silver the Hedgehog is flying through the blizzard to get to Dr. Eggman's base of the Dark Egg Legion. Now that he knows who the 'Traitor' is, he knows that he's running out of time.

"I gotta get to that base and find the Freedom Fighters, and we need to get them back to New Mobotropolis and fast," Silver says.

Silver continues to use his powers at top speed as he flies through the blizzard.

Meanwhile, Sonic, Eve, and the others are going on to the next part of the plan.

"So what's next?" Eve asks.

"Flip scouted ahead and found an underwater troop tunnel leading straight from this bunker to the Death Egg. With the alarms down and the forces here destroyed, we'll sneak in right under Eggman's nose," Guntiver says.

With that, the group climbs down the ladder and walk through the troop tunnel, leading them to Eggman's Death Egg.

"Feeling cold now?" Amy asks.

"No. I'm just not wild walking down some rickety pipe under so much water," Sonic says.

Guntiver whispers, "Speak softly and tread lightly. Akhlut's pod is everywhere, and they might hear us."

"It's so dark in here. I can barely see what's in front of my face," Eve says.

"Chao Chao," Jazz whispers.

"I just hope we don't…" Eve says, and suddenly, lets out a yelp and feels pain in her arm.

She feels bright and sparks electricity from her arm. Eve feels the pain as it's starting to surround parts of her body, and she notices that part of her legs are starting to change, like they're roboticizing…

"Oh no…" Eve softly says to herself.

That ends up catching the Orcas' attention.

Erma calls out, "We're surrounded! Swimmers, cover us! Eve, get the rest of us to the Death Egg!"

"O-Okay!" Eve says.

Even uses her Chaos Energy to levitate everyone and create a protective bubble.

"I'm not getting sidelined. Deep breath, Tails!" Sonic says and takes Tails' hand.

"Right!" Sonic says.

And with that, the two perform a Double Spin Dash as Sonic, Tails, some of the Arctic Freedom Fighters dive into the water while Eve uses her powers to get the others to safety. Eve tries to get them to safety, but is starting to feel pain from her arm and it's starting to flow around her body, and one of the Orcas is heading towards them. Before the Orca can attack, something holds them back.

Eve turns to notice, "Silver?!"

Indeed, Silver the Hedgehog is able to reach them, and uses a protective barrier so he can fly across the water.

But Akhlut soon notices the silver hedgehog, "That power… it's the same that touched the mind of my pod…"

And is furious, "You ruined our hold on the Walruses! Vengeance for my warriors! VENGEANCE!"

He then calls out, "My Warriors - Fire upon the Silver Hedgehog!" and uses the sound waves of his device to communicate with the others.

Silver and Eve struggle to keep hold and are losing their concentration, breaking their bubbles. Augustus acts fast and slams his fists together against the device.

Akhlut shakes him off and shouts, "No one touches them! They're mine!"

Soon, the Freedom Fighters begin to swim the others out as fast as they can until they reach the surface and climb on the platform.

Akhlut comes out of the water and sends the sound waves, "There is no escape!"

But Silver blocks it, "Nngh! Blow it out your blow-home!"

Then Akhlut commands, "Attention! All forces! Intruders alert! Toss their battered bodies back to me!"

Seeing the Badniks charging at them, Sonic says, "So much for the stealthy approach! Let's smash some Badniks, gang! And keep an eye out for any more trouble!"

And with that, the Freedom Fighters begin to fight against Eggman's Badniks and use their abilities to attack. Sonic spin dashes along with Eve. Amy slams her hammer. Jazz also attacks. The Arctic Freedom Fighters are also doing what they can to attack as well. Eve feels terrible pain coming from her body. She quickly hides one of the cargo boxes and feels the electricity flowing around her body. She clenches her stomach and looks to see her boy is starting to change, roboticizing.

Eve eyes wide in shock and dismay, "Oh no! No no no no no no no no!" as her body continues to show changes.

Meanwhile, in the deck of the Death Egg, the monitor shows the Freedom Fighters invading the Death Egg.

Orbot informs Eggman, "It appears we've been invaded, sir."

"What?!" Eggman exclaims, shocked and furious, "How?! I had that bunker built specifically as an early warning base!"

Cubot shrugs his shoulders, "Dey be tearin' up de inside of De Death Egg, Eggmon. (Mostly Akhlut's fault, tho')"

"I just had this place fully repaired!" Eggman screams in rage.

Eggman presses the button, Eggman to Mecha Sally! Get to the lower decks… and slaughter the Freedom Fighters and anything else with a pulse! NO PRISONERS!"

Then Eggman says, "We're cutting things too close - again! We've got to set off the Genesis Wave now before Sonic and Eve ruins everything. Orbot, ready the interdimensional portal. Albert better be ready to go…

Soon enough, Mecha Sally and the other Swat Botts begin to charge in for the attack.

"Tight Formation. Covering Fire," Mecha Sally says. "Collateral damages is acceptable."

Amy notices, "Heads up! She's he- Erk!" but Mecha Sally kicks Amy in the face.

Then Augustus uses himself as a shield to protect Erma as she cries out, "Augustus!" and the Egg Swats continue to blast him.

Sonic continues to fight Mecha Sally. Then Mecha Sally opens the head and prepares to fire at Sonic.

Meanwhile, in Cream's house of New Mobotropolis, the Tails Doll is placed on Cream's bed.

Cream calls out, "Mother! I'm going out to train with the Freedom Fighter for the rest of the rain!"

"Mind the rain, dear! Don't overexert yourself!" Vanilla says.

Cream closes the door and takes her leave. Seeing the coast clear, the Tails Doll sneaks out through the window and heads towards the New Mobotropolis Power Station. It soon manages to sneak in to destroy the generator or anything to help keep the power to the city. However, it finds itself cornered by the Freedom Fighter.

"So it was you. I don't appreciate what you've been doing to my nanites!" Nicole says.

Cream says, "Maria was right! Bad dolly! What do you have to say for yourself!"

"Self repair complete!" Tails Doll says, and suddenly begins to activate and the gem on the antenna glows, "Objective: Destroy power plant to weaken city!"

And soon, the Tails Doll begins to grow in size, and it continues, "Objective: Destroy power scrubbers, releasing Robotropolis is radioactive waste into weakened city."

Soon enough, the Tails Doll has transformed into a monstrous, almost organic looking form bearing little resemblance to its former self, the only recognizable element being the disruptor gem. It has several tentacle-like appendages as well, and a large vertical mouth at the center of its body surrounded by two layers of sharp teeth.

And soon says, "Objective: Destroy FREEDOM FIGHTERS!" as it lets out a mighty roar.

Meanwhile, Tails pushes Sonic out of the way before he gets blasted.

Then Mecha Sally turns to the hedgehogs, "Targets Locked! Death to the Empire's Enemies!"

However, Silver acts fast and uses his powers to deactivate her.

"I… I did it…" Silver says, relieved.

"Nice work, Silver, but what are you doing here?" Sonic asks.

"It's a long story," Silver says.

He looks around, "Uh, where's Eve?"

Sonic looks around to notice her absence, "Where is she?"

Silver realizes, "Never mind that, you and Eve need to come with me."

"What? Why?" Sonic asks, confused.

"We don't have much time. As you recall, my era, all that anyone remembers is that in this Era, one of the Freedom Fighters does something that destroys the team, and everything falls apart from there. According to history. Right now, I'm running out of time. I know I've made some bad mistakes, but I've done my research and gotten help. This time I'm certain who the trainer is. However, I've learned that the trainer isn't a traitor at all."

"Uh, you've lost me?" Sonic says, confused. "How could this 'traitor' you're trying to find isn't a 'traitor'?

"Because, the problem I was having was that I assumed the traitor's actions were malicious. I thought the traitor meant to destroy the team. But, the so-called 'traitor' actions were selfless. Even though the action was for a good cause, it ended up coming at a high price. History however… lost the details," Silver says.

"I don't get it?" Amy asks.

"I think what Silver says adds up, though. After two hundred years of devastation and the Freedom Fighters done… no one remembered that person responsible… wasn't acting of their own free will… there must be details that they don't even know, or remember existing," Erma says.

"So there was never a 'traitor' to begin with," Silver says.

"Yes. History's assumptions. I've got the motive wrong," Silver says.

"And who is this traitor, and why come here?" Tails asks.

"Right. We gotta find her and fast, she doesn't have much time," Silver says.

"Why do you say that? And why do you sound so worried?" Amy asks.

"It doesn't matter, as I said, we need to find Eve and hurry back to New Mobotropolis and fast," Silver says.

"Why?" Sonic asks.

"We're running out of time! I didn't realize it before after my research! The 'Traitor' of the Freedom Fighters is…" Silver says in fear.

Suddenly, something swoops in and tackles Sonic, and pins him against the wall, holding him by the neck.

Sonic opens his eyes and gasps in shock and dismay. What he sees is a partly roboticized hedgehog. It shows that many of her body, the right leg, the other arm, her dreadlocks, quills, and even her eyes show signs of robotization. Despite it, it shows tears coming down the eyes, and Sonic realizes who it is.

With a heartbreaking look in his eyes, Sonic realizes, "E-EVE!"

Much to Sonic and the Freedom Fighter's shock Eve the Hedgehog is roboticizing and much of her body is already roboticized.

With tears coming down her face, Eve softly says, "H-Help… me…"

And with that, Eve raises her roboticized hand and it creates an energized sword.

"So-Sonic… please… He-Help…" Eve says in tears.

With tears and a heavy heart, Sonic says, "Sorry sis, but I need to do this."

And with that, Sonic spin dashes right at Eve. Eve then swings her sword and tries to strike at Sonic, but Sonic dodges and spin dashes her from behind. Eve soon speeds past Sonic and begins to attack the others. Eve tries to control herself, but her Roboticized body is overtaking her, and tears continue to fall from her face.

"Sonic help! Someone please! STOP ME!" Eve cries out.

With that, the Arctic Freedom Fighters use their strength to pin her down to the ground.

"Sorry Eve, but we have to do this," Seala says.

"I-It's okay… Please, I can't stop…" Eve says and is still shedding tears, "It really hurts. It hurts so much.

Sonic rushes over, "Eve, are you okay? Please, try to fight it!"

"I'm… I'm trying…" Eve says in tears.

"Silver, what's happening to her?" Amy asks.

"It's the World Roboticizer, it's causing her immunity to fade. I think it's been fading away for sometime now, and now that immunity is breaking and it's slowly roboticizing her," Silver says.

Still in tears, Eve says, "And it's hurting me! I…I'm trying to control myself, but it's hurting my body to do so! I don't know how to make it stop!"

"Don't sis, we're going to get you back to New Mobotropolis and get you to the Roboticizer," Sonic says.

Suddenly, a white light begins to engulf everything in sight.

Suddenly, Silver feels pain in his head, "What the - a time shift?"

Sonic looks around to realize, "Oh no… this is -!"

And soon, everything goes white.
