Finally back in the woods, the coast was now clear. The group found Isaac's father down by the creek. Isaac approached his father stating, "Hey, Dad. You remember that story you always told us? I was wondering if-"

"Oh, son! Thank goodness you're back," the halfling's dad cried. "I need your help. These fish just won't let me grab them anymore. Can you help me catch fish before we talk?" Isaac looked back at his group, then just shrugged saying they'd love to help.

"This is a waste of time," Alex whispered to his brother.

"We're heroes, Alex. Helping people is what we do," Ben replied.

"Not when we're in the middle of a quest," Alex responded.

Ben just shook his head and approached the man. "We're honored to be of service, Sir. However, instead of just grabbing and catching fish, maybe there's a more efficient way to approach this. That way you can catch them more easily each time, not just now," Ben told Isaac's father.

"Like a fish trap! You know, like a net," Drew added. Alex rolled his eyes, questioning where they'd even get a net. "We'll make one," Drew answered.

Lauren pointed up, stating how they had plenty of vines to use. Ashton added in how even the pine straw could be used. The group then all separated to gather materials.

While gathering vines, a random deer stood in the way of a tree. Lauren and Ashton sighed in awe. However, out of nowhere they noticed an arrow shoot through the deer. The girls both screamed. They turned around to see Alex putting away his crossbow. "Hey! What'd you do that for!?" Ashton cried.

"It was in the way. Gotta get rid of it somehow," Alex answered. He then came up and used the dead deer to escalate himself to the vines up top.

Ashton gasped seeing the rouge just shooting and stepping on an innocent deer. "Not all problems are solved with shooting things," she told Alex.

After grabbing the vines and stepping back down, Alex replied, "No, but it was this time. And now we can give it to Isaac's family for their own use too. See, it's not THAT big of a deal." He then grabbed the deer and casually walked off.

Once the materials were all gathered, Ben, Drew, and Alex all helped set up the area to place the net. Ashton, Lauren, and Isaac sat and tied the vines together to until the net was made. They then placed the net in the spot the others had created along the creek. Each end of the net up top was tied to a stable piece of wood while the bottom corners were even more secure by tree roots and being buried under rocks.

From now on, Isaac's father could just retrieve fish from the net instead of having the catch them by hand. The halfling father showed much gratitude towards the group. Isaac once again tried to bring up the fireproof armor. "Ah yes. My uncle was actually the adventurer in that tale. I was always so fond of the stories he would share with me of his adventures," the father explained.

Isaac was surprised to never know his great uncle was the man in these stories. He then said, "Do you happen to know where that maze-cave is, Dad? We're trying to track down the armor."

"I do!" The father answered. "He once showed me. We never went in, though. He's forbidden from that cave." The group began to cheer and wondered if he could show them the way. The halfling man assured he would definitely help. The heroes stayed with Isaac's family and rested for the night before heading out in the morning.
