The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)
The pair had been on Yautja Prime now for four months. And Natalie's belly was getting bigger each week.
She already looked like she swallowed a small bowling ball. And her baby was very active. Yeyinde couldn't get enough of placing his hands on her belly and feeling their pup kick.
The healer was still happy with the progress. Nei'hman was a bit concerned at first about the ooman's pregnancy. Because he was unsure how well her body would take to gestating a yautja/human hybrid.
But so far, her body appeared to be holding up fine. Perhaps her altered chemistry from the yautja blood had to do with it. It allowed her for a quick and successful conception. So, perhaps it made changes enough to accommodate the pup's growth without it sapping her energy or nutrients.
To be safe though, he informed her to intake as many nutrients as she can when she eats. And not to skip any meals.
Natalie made sure to follow the good doc's advice to a 'T'. And just as Yeyinde predicted a few months back, he will have to restock his food supply a little more often than usual.
He didn't mind though. He wanted Natalie and their unborn pup to be strong and healthy.
Meanwhile in another part of town, there was one yautja female whose resentment and hate was growing by the day she saw Yeyinde with his pregnant ooman bitch.
It was one thing to watch the male she really cares about toss her aside for some lowly prey. It was another though that they got her into trouble with the Elders.
Apparently, Yeyinde and Natalie met with the Elders and told them what really happened.
To say they were unamused that she hid the fact that the ooman female was pregnant when she tried to initiate a challenge was an understatement. They were quite furious.
Even her own father was disappointed with her actions.
But still, while they weren't pleased, they gave her one last chance. They told her to stay away from Yeyinde and his ooman. If she tries to engage them again, she will be thrown out of the clan and exiled.
Inu stomped into a pretty crowded bar and pushed her way through the crowd of large bodies to the front of the bar.
She sat down and called over the bartender and demanded a drink of his strongest c'ntlip. Afterwards she took the offered cup and took down a large gulp, before slamming it back down on the metal bar counter.
Her beady orange eyes scanned the area and she spotted someone very familiar sitting not too far down the elongated counter.
That's when an idea hit her. Inu stood up with a grin and sauntered over to the hunter who was currently sitting and nursing his drink. Only every now and then did he turn and converse with one of the males sitting next to him.
"Hello, Larja-Thwei." She purred, getting his attention.
The reddish hunter turned his steely gaze to her and grunted.
"What the hell do you want Inu? Because if you're here looking for a good pauk, find someone else. I'm not interested." He retorted.
If there was one thing, he, Yeyinde, and the circle of friends they shared had in common, it was their great dislike of Inu. As beautiful as she was, she was a downright entitled, pampered, brat.
Something that was a huge turnoff for him and not something he wanted passed down to any pups in his bloodline.
Inu snorted, "You really do know how to charm a female. Anyone ever tell you that?"
"Again, I ask, what the hell do you want?" He said, starting to lose his patience with this female.
"I need to speak to you, in private. It's very important. Meet me outside on the side of the bar." She demanded.
He arched an eye ridge at her. Then she leveled him with a look and a growl, indicating she wasn't in the mood to tell him twice.
Larja-Thwei downed the last of his drink and got up. He followed her outside the bar. And for some odd reason, he felt compelled to hit the recording button on his wrist gauntlet.
Because he didn't trust this female one bit and can't help but feel he will not like what he's about to hear.
There was another reason he refused to mate her. And that was she was just plain hulij-bpe. Not only that but he saw her demonstrate qualities that could inquire she's not far off from crossing the line and becoming a bad blood.
They went to a quiet spot between two of the buildings away from prying eyes.
"Yes, Inu, because this isn't obviously shady at all." He sarcastically said.
She whirled around on him and snarled.
"Shut up and listen to what I have to say. I take it you heard that Yeyinde had taken that little ooman bitch for a life mate and knocked her up." Inu pointed out.
Yes, he heard. And he can't say he was all that surprised. After all, Yeyinde nearly took his head off on the drop ship when Larja indicated they should just put her out of her misery.
It didn't take two and two to put it together after that.
"Yeah, so? Who cares. His lost if he wants to rut an ooman female." He said.
Already he doesn't like where this is going. Word spreads fast around here. He already knows that Inu confronted Yeyinde and Natalie and few months prior, harsh words were exchanged, then Inu incited a challenge, only for Natalie to jump her and beat her face in.
He hates to say it, but he kind of wishes he was there to see that. Probably would've gotten a good laugh out of this large female's misfortunes.
Inu reared back slightly, "Who cares? Who cares!? I fucking care and so should you! She'll ruin him! And she doesn't belong here! Wow, if your brother Mahnde were here right now, I think he'd be damned disappointed that you're ok with an ooman taking up residence in our clan, he'd be turning in his grave right about now."
Larja-Thwei bristled in anger. The nerve of this bitch bringing up his dead brother.
"You will watch what you say about Mahnde, Inu." He growled threateningly.
A smirk appeared on her face, "I'm not asking for much, Larja. I know you hate oomans and I know you don't like Yeyinde's little bitch. I'm not asking for much, just make it look like an accident. You do that, and you'll never hear from me again."
His eyes widened slightly, "Female, you better NOT be implying what I think you are."
"And what if I am? She's a pathetic little ooman. A nobody. Yeyinde is mine and I will have him. And if killing her is the way to have him, then so be it. But I will not be denied and tossed aside for something that is trash beneath my feet.
So, are you going to do it or not? If you make it look like an accident, no one will know." She told him.
Larja narrowed his eyes and gave her a disgusted look.
Sure, he and Yeyinde were rivals and didn't always see eye to eye. But that didn't mean he didn't have any respect for him as a fellow hunter. And as far as oomans go, Natalie really wasn't all that bad.
And he sure as hell wasn't going to lose his honor by doing something so heinous to kill a small ooman female and a pregnant one at that.
"Forget it you crazy bitch. I will not be roped into this. You're sick, Inu. You need help. Because what you just asked me to do; is one of the lowest forms of dishonor there is. Stay the hell away from me and don't ever talk to me again." He snapped.
Then he whirled around and stomped out of there. Leaving a fuming Inu behind.
Originally, he was going to go back into the bar and order another drink after their conversation. But he can't do that now. Inu had just shown him her true colors.
She was a bad blood.
And as an honored hunter of this clan, it was his duty to report her to the Elders. Luckily, he had the recording to prove her insidious intentions.
The only thing Larja felt bad about was that it will upset Elder M'icli-de. His daughter may be vile. But her sire was a very proud and strong warrior, who took his position of Elder to heart and wanted to do better by his clan and ensure they thrived.
The reddish colored yautja pressed a few buttons on his wrist gauntlet.
"Elder A'ni-de here." The voice said in the wrist gauntlet.
"Honorable Elder, it is Larja-Thwei. Are you and the other Elders very busy at the moment? I have some very grave and important news to share with all of you and request an audience in the council chambers." Larja insisted.
"We're not particularly busy at this moment. I supposed you can request a meeting with us. May I inquire what this is about first?" The Elder asks.
"Only that it has something to do with Elder M'icli-de's daughter, Inu. She came to me with a disturbing plot. I'm concerned, Elder. She truly wishes to instill great harm upon Yeyinde's ooman mate. I recorded my conversation with her. I will show it to you all when I get there." The young hunter stated.
"This is an outstanding accusation, Larja-Thwei. But if you have solid proof, then we will hear of it. Come to the council chambers immediately." Elder A'ni-de demanded.
"I'm on my way now, Elder. I should be there in about fifteen minutes." Larja replied.
"Good, we shall see you then. I'll inform the others of your impending arrival." The older male said.
Then the connection timed out, signaling he disconnected the call.
Larja sped up his walk. He hopes he can get there in time. Before Inu tries to goad someone else into her crazy plan. Or worse, decides to go through with it herself.
He wouldn't be surprised if that would end up being the case.
Because despite having a number of yautja here that don't think highly of oomans, they still were honorable enough warriors to not go through with such an egregious act.
To do so, would ensure their death. Because killing pregnant females was an automatic death sentence to the culprit/s involved.
After his meeting with the Elders, he will go to Yeyinde's dwellings. The pair had a right to know about this. They needed to be on guard if Inu tries to get to them before the Elders can get to her.
Within twelve minutes, Larja was just walking through the doors to the council chambers. He noted that all five Elders were there awaiting his arrival.
He stopped in the center of the large room, banged his fist to the center of his chest and gave them all a deep bow.
"Welcome, Larja-Thwei. Will you please approach the table and show us this recording of yours?" Elder Etah'-dte inquired.
"Of course, Honorable Elder." Larja replied.
He approached the table and tapped a few buttons on his wrist gauntlet.
Soon a holographic recorded image of Inu's face appeared. And it showed the conversation that happened between the two of them. And the more they Elders heard, the more miffed they got.
Even Elder M'icli-de had his fists clenched as he angrily listened as his daughter tried to gage Larja-Thwei into a murder attempt on Natalie's life. He couldn't help but feel disgusted.
He felt he only had himself to blame for this. The Elder male feels he made her this way. She was his youngest little girl. He doted on her and did wrong by spoiling and indulging her on anything she wanted.
His mate at the time warned him what's to come of this if he continued to demonstrate this behavior towards her. But as she aged, he also couldn't help but feel there may have been something psychologically wrong with Inu.
From a young age, she seems to have developed an unhealthy obsession with Setg-in's youngest son, Yeyinde. She always made it clear to her father that she would have him and no one else. That they were fated to be life mates.
At first, he tried to shove it off as a crush. Something that she would grow out of or get over in time. Instead, it continued to grow and fester inside of her as they aged.
He knows that she nearly killed another female that challenged her for Yeyinde while he was still away on his hunt on Earth.
It wasn't all that uncommon for fights to get out of hand and someone dying. But he heard the other female yielded and submitted. But Inu still didn't let up and ignored her pleas to stop.
It took two other females to haul Inu off of the badly wounded female before she could kill her.
Now, sitting here, listening to this recording and seeing her face as she said these horrible words. Elder M'icli-de cannot deny that his daughter has in fact just labeled herself a bad blood.
It was clear she was a danger to others in this community and must be dealt with.
Apparently, the other Elders were also thinking the same thing. She was warned to stay away from Yeyinde and his mate. And instead, she goes and does this.
Once the recording ended, it fizzled away and turned off.
Larja-Thwei, turned his gaze to Elder M'icli-de with a brief look of pity.
"I am so terribly sorry about all this Honorable Elder M'icli-de. I know she is your blood. But duty insists I showed you all this recording." He said.
Elder M'icli-de slowly nodded. Then he turned to the other Elders.
"Well, what consequences are to be passed?" He asks them.
Elder Gkyaun closed his eyes with a sigh before setting his gaze on his friend.
"I'm sorry, M'icli-de, but you as well as the rest of us know what this kind of crime gets a culprit." He said, with a forlorn look.
That penalty usually resulted in death.
Elder M'icli-de slowly shook his head.
"I...I don't know if I can do that. Please, let's exile her instead. We'll send her to the isolated colony on the island where all the other exiles go on the other side of the world. She won't be a threat from all the way over there. Exiles cannot leave that island. If they do, they know it means certain death for them." He offered.
The Elders all looked at each other trying to gage this new information. They supposed, they can grant her this last bit of leniency.
Elder Etah'-dte nodded, "Alright, exile to the isolated colony it is then. And she better never step foot off of it or try to make contact with this clan or any other. Otherwise, this deal is rescinded, and she will die."
Elder M'icli-de let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank you." He said.
Elder Setg-in didn't like this idea though. It was clear, this female was insane, and he felt as long as she was alive, she posed a threat to Natalie, her unborn pup, and anyone else that got in her way.
They exchanged a few more words, and they thanked Larja-Thwei and excused him.
The young hunter left the council chambers and headed for Yeyinde's dwellings to warn Yeyinde and Natalie and tell them what just occurred between him and Inu.
Until Next Time ;)
