"Get ready for a fight!"
"I still don't get why you choose to play as Beerus of all characters. There are SO MANY who are better, my guy." Duke commented.
"I play who I want, I don't give a crap about competitive viability." Skorch scoffed as the pair began their fourth round of the day. Duke shrugged and took a drink before focusing on the fight. It went how it usually did, Skorch lost, badly.
"You DO know how to play this game, right?"
"Look, I play FighterZ the same way I play Skullgirls, Street Fighter, Tekken and Power Rangers, I don't. I just play all of em' and I suck at all of em', but I have fun doing it. Mortal Kombat and Injustice are my games, y'know ese?"
"Eh."
The silence remained for another two rounds until Skorch looked at their phone and groaned. "Ugh, I really should get back to that Death Battle fic…" Granted, they were on vacation, but still.
"I been meanin' to ask you about that. You've been workin' on that fer a while, G. Yet I notice you never lay the straight down and try your own thing." Duke mused. "Y'ever think about writing your own Death Battles?"
"Yeah, a few times, but I I never really did anything with it because I didn't like my ideas." Skorch shrugged.
"Oh yeah? What about the one's your tavern goers came up with?" Skorch consider it, but shook his head.
"You and I are busy-"
"Nah, not us! The two who do it normally! Hit em' up and see if they wanna!" Duke laughed. Skorch blinked. THAT was a good idea!
"Okay, I'll go after this-"
"Dramatic Finish!"
"Never mind…"
"Oi." Skorch said, leaning in from the portal, looking at the flabbergasted hosts. "You two."
"WH-what?! Who-?! How?"
"Hey." Boomstick nodded back.
"You guys wanna make some money?"
"What are you?! How did you?! You just tore a hole in reality and- how much money are we Talking?"
"Yes." Was all Skorch said, dropping a bag of money and four cases of beer in from the portal. "Here, take this list of battles and do what you do." The Entity instructed, then vanished.
"…huh, well, okay…" Wiz shrugged. Boomstick didn't seem to care that much.
"First up… Vilgax vs. Megatron from Beast Wars…" He read aloud.
