Chapter Forty-Nine
Retreat!
As Shredder and Tyroth stared each other down, the other Knights went to help the turtles, Pandora and Monalisa upon the dragon's orders.
Kate instantly ran to Michelangelo as Cobra upon seeing Tyroth had backed off and joined her fellow Venomous Five comrades and dropped to his side before cupping his cheeks to comfort him as well as analyse his wounds.
"Mikey, oh Mike!" she sobbed seeing the arrows in her boyfriend's shoulder and arm.
Michelangelo looked pale and in a lot of pain as well a delirious, yet when he saw Kate, he gave a small goofy smile.
"Katie?" he gasped in pain not knowing whether the pain was making him see things or not.
"I'm here cutie." Kate gave a comforting smile as she stroked his cheek "We're getting you out of here!"
She helped him sit up then picked him up bridal style.
"Hey…" Michelangelo gasped in pain "Again…you're saving me! Carrying me to safety, you're the hero, I'm the damsel."
Kate gave a bitter laugh, that Michelangelo was cracking a joke despite the situation and how much pain he was in.
She nuzzled Michelangelo and kissed his beak.
"Hang in there my turtle titan! We're here! And we're taking you home!"
Sephie ran over to Jake who was still cradling Monalisa in his arms, and she gasped in fear seeing Monalisa's condition.
"Oh God! Mona!" she cried "What…what's happened to her?"
"I think she's been poisoned!" Jake wept.
Sephie glowered and looked at the Venomous Five who upon seeing Tyroth arrive had backed away along with the other Ninja as they knew too well how strong the Dragon was.
She looked down at Monalisa who was sweating and going paler by the second, it was very clear her condition was declining rapidly.
"We have to get her to James and Dahlia!" she yelled "Fast!"
Jake nodded and gathered Monalisa into his arms then went to follow Kate who was still carrying Michelangelo and Sharky had run over to help, then Sephie ran to Donatello who was looking fatigued as well as in pain from his deep cuts.
"Don! Get up!" she said grabbing his arm and pulling it over her shoulders to help him stand.
Donatello gasped in pain as he was helped up.
"Sephie…" he gasped "My brothers…Sensei."
"Don't worry!" Sephie reassured the purple masked turtle "We're here! We're getting you out of here! Tyroth's holding off Shredder and the Foot!"
Donatello was reluctant but he trusted Sephie and held onto her as she helped him out.
Jack ran over to Sonia, Pandora, and Raphael along with Sarah and they saw Raphael's critical condition as well as Pandora's leaking side.
"Fuck!" Jack growled "Raphael's been stabbed in the throat! He's losing blood! He needs medical attention, or he'll bleed out!"
He gathered Raphael into his arms and Sarah held the cloth next to the turtle's bloody throat.
"Well done for trying to stop the bleeding, Sonia!" Jack praised to which Sonia as she helped Pandora to her feet as well as press another piece of cloth into her wound looked proud.
"Is he going to be alright?" Pandora wept as she looked at her father who was going pale as well as gurgling as he struggled to breathe.
"The sooner we get him to James and Dahlia, the better!" Jack replied, "Come on!" he then led Sarah, Sonia and Pandora to the other Knights who were making their way to the doors to get out the building.
Leonardo meanwhile despite his wounds gathered Kemeko into his arms and Heather and Percy ran to help him.
"Leo!" Heather cried and she was horrified seeing Kemeko's condition.
"Please!" Leonardo begged "help her!"
"James and Dahlia are with April a few blocks down from here!" Percy reported "But we must leave! Tyroth will deal with the Shredder! But we must get you out!"
Leonardo looked back at Tyroth who was keeping the Ninjas and the Venomous Five back from getting close to his friends.
"Okay…" he said as he held Kemeko close until Percy held out his arms, "I'll take her!" he said, "You're hurt!"
Leonardo was reluctant but he agreed to let the grasshopper carry Kemeko especially since his wounds were throbbing and he believed Percy could get his daughter to James and Dahlia quicker.
Heather put Leonardo's arm over her shoulder and helped him limp away.
"Everything's going to be okay!" she said as she hurried to the doors just as Amber was accompanying a bruised and bleeding Splinter who was looking distraught and stressed.
As the Chicago Knights were running to the door with their wounded friends, Devina hung at the back to make sure they got out safe.
"Come on Devina!" Amber called over her shoulder, "I'll be right behind you!" Devina said as she looked back to Tyroth who was spitting out flames at the Ninjas, the Venomous Five, Shredder, Arashi, Dr Arden and Hanako, making sure no-one got past him until everyone was out of harm's way.
As soon as Amber and Splinter were out of the door, Devina looked at Tyroth then back at Amber.
"Get everyone out of here!" she said then shut the doors.
"Devina!" Amber cried.
'What is she doing?" Jack roared.
"She must be staying to help Tyroth!" Heather cried.
Sephie grunted in frustration, but she focused on the important task of getting everyone out of the building.
"Come on everyone!" she roared "Let's get out of here! Our friends need urgent medical attention and time is of the essence!"
She turned to Donatello who looked at her and she saw he was looking pale and he was starting to drool slightly.
"Donnie?" she asked "Don?" she then felt Donatello slump and he fell on his knees.
"Oh shit!" she cried as she caught the turtle and studied him.
"What's wrong Sephie?!" Sarah asked in fear.
Sephie didn't answer as she gathered Donatello up in her arms.
"Oh God! I think Donatello's been poisoned too!" she cried.
"No! No! My son!" the gecko heard Splinter's terrified voice "Please no!"
"Donnie!" Michelangelo wailed from Kate's arms "Oh Shell no!"
Sephie looked at Donatello's wounds and she then realised that because he had been slashed by Komodo Dragon, like Black Mamba who licked her tanto blades, he must have done the same and now his toxic venom was affecting the brainy turtle.
She took a breath and lifted Donatello up and Amber instantly ran over to help.
"Hang in there Donnie!" Sephie said through gritted teeth "We're not losing you! Nor any of you!" she called to the Hamato Clan and she continued to lead the way to exit the building.
Back in the throne room, Tyroth glared as he stared down at Shredder, Arashi, Dr Arden, Hanako, The Venomous Five and their few remaining Ninjas.
Shredder glowered as he got into a fighting stance.
He was furious that his prisoners along with Kemeko had escaped and he wasn't going to stand down to his enemies, if he was to go down, he would go down fighting and not run away like a coward.
Arashi meanwhile stood back along with Hanako, Dr Arden and the Venomous Five.
"Master! No!" he shouted "Don't! You have no chance against him!"
"Listen to him!" Dr Arden roared.
Shredder glared as he looked up at Tyroth, not listening to Arashi, Dr Arden, Hanako or the Venomous Five's protests.
"I fear no other mutant!" he murmured as he looked Tyroth in the eyes "I fear no Monster! I fear no magic…I fear Nothing!"
He roared then leapt for Tyroth and the Dragon did the same, and Arashi, Hanako, Dr Arden and the Venomous Five could only watch as they collided and began to fight in hand-to-hand combat.
Arashi watched in fear and worry, and he reached for Hanako who grabbed his hand as she ran to him and as soon as she was close, he pulled her to him.
"Come my Cherry." He said, "We must leave!"
"And leave our lord and Master?" Hanako asked as she looked towards Shredder who leapt for Tyroth.
Arashi glared.
"Our Master has signed his death warrant!" he growled "Despite our warnings!"
"He is right!" Dr Arden agreed "We must escape when we can!" he then turned to the Venomous Five as well as the remaining Ninjas "We must run! We are no match to the Dragon!" he bellowed.
As Arashi, Hanako, Dr Arden and the Venomous Five made their escape at the back of the throne room, Shredder glared.
"Come back you cowards!" he roared then turned to Tyroth.
"I will not submit to some freak!" he roared "I will not fall!"
Tyroth glared then clenched his fists and fire sprouted from both his nostrils and between his gritted teeth.
"As always Oruko Saki, you're so confident in yourself that you claim victory before you win! But you're a fool! You will fall tonight!" he then roared and spread his wings.
"Come at me! Freak!" Shredder roared.
"So be it!" Tyroth growled then flew upwards into the air and broke through the ceiling.
Shredder looked up in surprise, but he wasn't prepared as Tyroth dived down with his large fists on fire and pounded Shredder through the floor and they soon started to go through almost every floor in the building.
As that happened, Arashi looked down through the large holes in the floor, yet all he could see was the Dragon diving through the middle of the building.
"Oh Shit!" he cursed then looked at Hanako, Dr Arden and the Venomous Five and hey exchanged the same looks in agreement that they should leave immediately.
"We are in the same boat that we cannot face the dragon!" Arashi spoke "We warned Saki, yet he refused to listen and is paying the price!"
"And we will not pay it either!" Dr Arden snarled as he looked down at the holes in the floors "After what we have experienced before!"
Arashi glared.
"He is a fool!" he said then turned to Dr Arden, Hanako and the Venomous Five "Follow me!" he said quickly leading them out of the throne room to a secret door in the back…
So the Chicago Knights have managed to get everyone out of the throne room and away from the Shredder, yet Donatello has shown signs of being poisoned! No-one is out of the woods yet! Can James and Dahlia use their medical skills to save our heroes?
Meanwhile Tyroth is making it known to Shredder he is not one to be messed with!
