Epilogue: Loose Ends Tied

"The ruins of the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex caved in today under mysterious circumstances," said a female reporter on the TV in the sparse office space where Detective Larson and Max Schmidt were sitting in.

After escaping from the pizzaplex, they and G made their way to the Night Watch Repairmen headquarters which was located in an old shopping center disguised as a private detective agency. Late morning sun filtered in through the shuttered window as the two men waited for the unofficial doctor that the Phone Guy hired to finish examining G in the other room to make sure the rest of his body was okay apart from the sliced earlobe he got from Vanny.

"Once a promising venture by Fazbear Entertainment, it had to close down four years ago due to a fire that destroyed most of the building," the female reporter continued. "Luckily, no one was injured or killed when the cave-in happened."

"No one?" Detective Larson chuckled. "You Repairmen sure know how to cover your tracks."

"It's why we're so efficient," Max Schmidt said. "You didn't say anything about us to the police, did you?"

Larson shook his head. "I was too freaked out to learn Renelle Taggart is a real person and not just an alias that animatronic used to fool me."

"The real Renelle is a federal agent, right?"

"Yeah, and she came to investigate the imposter who used her identity to pose as the new Endopolis Police Chief. I told her everything I could without mentioning her impostor was an animatronic, but she didn't seem to believe me and now I'm suspended until further notice."

"That sucks."

"Well, I'm thinking of quitting the force anyway."

"Do you know what you're going to do?"

Larson looked back at the TV, and saw the female reporter had been replaced by a Afton Robotics commercial. As Will's menacing face appeared, Larson pointed at the screen.

"I'm going to go after that guy and bring him to justice," Larson declared.

Max seemed mildly surprised. "He could've died by the hands of that Blob thing, you know."

"Even so, he was the one behind Vanessa's actions as Vanny and I will never forgive him for it."

"G said Vanessa was being controlled by a sentient AI, who probably told her to team up with Mr. Afton in order to achieve its ultimate goal of gaining a permanent body."

"And Afton teamed up with Vanessa's alter-ego Vanny in the hopes of finding his lost machine, who was G, and gain a perfect killing robot in the form of Freddy. I'm not sure why he needs killer robots, or the human souls to power them, but that's what I intend to find out."

Before Max could respond, the door to the other room opened and G walked out. He still had a bandaid over his damaged earlobe, but looked fine otherwise.

"He's perfectly healthy, other than a permanently damaged earlobe, " said the unofficial doctor as they exited the room. "But it will heal with time."

"Thanks, Doc," G said with a melancholic look on his face.

"Just doing my job," the unofficial doctor said.

Once the doctor left, there was a heavy silence over the room.

"So are you going to kill me, Mr. Schmidt?" G asked Max. "I am an animatronic after all."

For a moment, Max checked his gun and sighed.

"My gun's out of energy," Max said. "I'll let you live for now. But once I recharge my gun, I expect you to be out of this building by then. Understood?"

"Yes, sir," G nodded.

Then Max walked out of the office space.

"Did he just give you a head start?" Larson questioned.

"Pretty much. I guess he can be nice to animatronics when he wants to be," G realized. "Though from what I understand, he's one of the most efficient repairmen here."

"That doesn't give you much of a fighting chance, does it?"

"No, but I don't want to die without a fight."

Surprised by the boy's confidence, Larson patted G's shoulder. "You've got guts, kid, even if you're supposed to be a robot."

"Um, thanks."

Larson then escorted G out of the building, and the two parted ways after shaking hands.

"I'm sorry," Eleanor said.

"For what?" Will Afton asked, who was lying in a hospital bed.

"Not saving you from that thing sooner," Eleanor responded. "And now you're hurt."

"Only with a few minor muscles torn, dear," Will said, patting Eleanor on the head. "I'll be out of here soon enough. Do you still have the data stick you attached to Glitchtrap?"

Eleanor nodded and took out a black USB drive from the button-shaped circle on her chest. "He's safely on here."

"Send it to my old friend Fred Bernstein the Third. Let's see what he makes of Glitchtrap. And then I want you to do something else for me."

"Locate the boy?"

Will shook his head. "He's too disobedient. I want you to locate my other son who went missing. Assuming he's still alive after what the prototype Funtime animatronics did to him in my basement facility, he might be the perfect killing machine I've been looking for."

"Understood, sir."

As Eleanor left the hospital room Will was resting in, she was followed by a young man in a black trench-coat with a repairmen gun in his hand.

G found himself back at the junkyard and went into the hidden chamber. On the chair inside the glass dome was Freddy, who looked remarkably unscathed.

"Fredi!" G said, rushing down the stairs. "When did you get here?"

"About an hour ago," Fredi said as he tepidly opened his eyes. "I was pretty badly damaged, so I set the machine to full repair mode."

"How did you escape the pizzaplex before it caved in?" G asked. "Where's Vanessa?"

"It was ironically thanks to the Blob. The thing caused so much structural damage that I was able to get out through the sewer tunnels beneath the two buildings." Fredi sighed. "But I couldn't save Vanessa…."

"At least you tried." G was about to hug Fredi, but the terrible smell wafting from Fredi's clothing made him hesitate. "You should change your clothes before we get out of here."

"Is the repairman who saved you hunting us?"

"Unfortunately."

Fredi did as G asked, and found spare clothes in another room that looked like they belonged to the Melody animatronics. Putting together an orange blazer and black slacks, Fredi joined G at the top of the stairs. They searched the junkyard until they found a slightly dinged up orange-and-white van with the words 'FZBR' written on the license plate. A set of keys was already in the van along with a charging station.

"This must've been what the Melody animatronics were hoping to get out of town in," G guessed. "Let's see if it's juiced up and ready to go."

While G went to the driver's side, Fredi took the passenger side. G put the keys in the ignition, and the van started. Looking at each other with a renewed sense of hope, G and Fredi drove out of the junkyard and onto the freeway that would take them away from Endopolis City. Inside the charging station, the shattered remains of Moon resided.

"Nighty-night, boys," Moon chuckled as his red eye glowed brightly.
