The quarters of the Hyuga branch house was rather small compared to that of the main house. Since 95% of the Hyuga Clan belong to the Branch house, you could say that it is unfair or unreasonable to distribute the Hyuga compound in this fashion, but its how it was in the past and how it would stay in the future.

A single girl is standing across a training dummy. She has middle length, straight, black hair, common for many Hyuga. She is 8 years old and has a far away look in her eyes.
She used to be happy girl. Awakening the Bygukan with the age of 3, which was unheard of. She liked the attention and praise that followed. But it would not stay like that for long.

The news of the awaking quickly reached Hizashi Hyuga, leader of the branch House. Being the dutiful brother he is, he reported the news to his older brother and leader of the main house, Hiashi Hyuga.

This day was also day that marked the dispute between the twins.

"Brother, please change your mind. A prodigy like her should not be marked with the birdseal. It would be a shame the sabotage her potential like that."

Hiashi looked at his brother with no sympathy.
"There is nothing to be done. She awakened her Byakugan and will get the seal no matter what. This is how it is and always will be."

Hiashi started to turn away from his brother but was stopped by a hand on his shoulder, making him stop.

"You know how the birdseal tempers the human body. She will never be able to reach her full potential. Her Chakra control, the development of her Tenketsu even the power of her Byakugan will suffer from that seal."

Hiashi scoffed at that remark.

"Don't make the seal worse that it is. If she is as talented as you say than she still will be an exceptional shinobi in the future. We don't need her to be more than tha -"

Hizashi didn't let his brother finish sentence.
"Please brother listen! She could bring great honor to our Clan if you make this one exception.
The gap between us and the Uchiha Clan is getting bigger every day. I know you heared the news about Shisui Uchiha. How the boy rushed through the ninja ranks like its nothing. They already compare him to the Yondaime Hokage. And then there is the firstborn son of Fugaku Uchiha. If the rumors are true than he will be the second prodigy the Uchihas produced in this short time.
And what can the esteemed Hyuga Clan offer? Nothing! Because this cursed seal takes that opportunity from u- ARRRGHHHHHH "

Hizashi couldn't continue his rant because the pain on his forehead prevented him to do so.
Hiashi was now standing above his brother, slowly deactivating the seal.

"Watch how you talk to me 'brother', what you say is nothing less than mutiny against the Hyuga Clan. You should now your place and act as you are told to. Now stop wasting my time."

Hiashi was starting to walk away but he still heard what his downed brother said.

"…You know what they say about the Hyuga Clan, do you? How we are nothing compared to Uchiha Clan… That the Hyuga Clan doesn't deserve a compound as big as it is right now. That we are inferior to most of the Clans in the village since we couldn't produce a single prodigy since joining Konoha…"

Hiashi stopped shortly at that, but kept on walking after a few seconds.

What followed after the dispute was rather surprising to say at least. The main house decided to postpone the bird seal. They wanted to see how the girl would grow and take action depending on her development.
If she turned out to be nothing more than a fluke, she would get her seal as fast as possible. But if she proved to be a prodigy like Hizashi claimed she is, she would get the chance to fully develop her body and eyes and put on the seal on her afterwards.

It was a small victory for Hizashi, but it didn't stop the hate that started to feast in his soul after the treatment he got from his brother... He would need to make an emergency plan if things turned out bad. So he decided to meet a certain man, which was none other than Danzo Shimura.
