A/N: Sadly, I don't own Naruto. Hello everyone I am Dansimarak I am pretty to Naruto and the Anime fanfic world in general. I listen to fanfics instead of reading them. This is my first attempt at a fanfic.
I was inspired by the Team 8 Better Left Unsaid Please review, criticism and ideas for this fanfic (if it continues) would be greatly appreciated and PLEASE NO SWEARING.
Summary:Naruto on seeing Iruka's back implanted with a shuriken taps into Kurama's chakra unconsciously and kills Mizuki by accident. As a result, Sandaime decides that he should learn to control the power of Kyuubi. So he assigns Anko to become his Jonin Sensei. Who knew the consequences could be so large? AU.
Chapter 1
"May I come in Hokage Sama?" a young feminine voice asked.
"Please enter Anko chan".
Anko gave a bow to which Hiruzen gave a tired nod and a smile.
Hiruzen motioned to Anko to sit; she sat in a black chair with a white cushion. A few seconds passed in silence. It was an uncomfortable silence. Hiruzen took out a pipe from his drawer and lit it using some fire chakra. He felt the smoke enter his system, he sighed in happiness and continued smoking for a few minutes before Anko broke the silence.
"Pardon me Hokage Sama but why did you call me at this hour?" Anko asked.
" Anko Chan I am sorry if I disturbed your sleep" Hiruzen apologised.
"No problem, Hokage Sama duty calls right?" Anko said, chuckling. He too chuckled.
"Anko Chan, you know you have been a Tokubetsu Jonin for 4 and a half years right..?" Hiruzen began.
"I want to promote you to Jonin but the civilian council… you know right?"
"Yea, snake bitch shouldn't be in the shinobi ranks and all... Ankos shrugged " WAIT YOU WANT TO PROMOTE ME TO JONIN?" she screamed, pumping her fist in the air. Luckily Hiruzen was wearing earplugs. He removed the plugs from his ears Anko ignored the action.
"You work in the TI department and occasionally leave the village for B-rank missions, therefore, you don't have much field experience which is an essential factor in promotion," Hiruzen told her.
"Yes, I know Hokage sama so you want to have more field experience ?" Anko asked.
"In a way yes but you're not close" Not knowing what to say Hiruzen took a sag from his pipe before dropping the bombshell on the Special Jounin.
"I want you to become a Jonin sensei Anko chan" Hiruzen declared.
"..."
"..."
"WTF" Anko screamed." Why me?" Anko whined. (It some time or her to calm down)
"So let me get this straight, you want me to be a babysitter to a bunch of preschool kids?" Anko asked incredulously.
Hiruzen nodded in affirmative. "But they are not a bunch of preschool kids in diapers, they are genin who need a Jonin for guidance. "It's the same," Anko deadpanned.
"Anko Chan you know it's an order right?" Hiruzen asked with a smirk on his face. He chuckled.
"Come on Anko chan this is a boon to your résumé"
"Yea yea…" Anko muttered.
"Good," Hiruzen said with a smile on his face.
The Sandaime stood up from his desk and went to his bookshelf, a wooden shelf with gold emblems. The frame was organized alphabetically. He gave Anko 3 files a "I want you to look at these files. They have information on your potential students. Anko skimmed through the files before a frown adorned her feature.
"Have you spoken to the Clan Heads about this?" Anko asked in a deadpan tone. Anko wasn't really involved in the political side of the shinobi system but she also knew what consequences this could have. "Yes I have and they have agreed," Hiruzen replied.
"But what about the elders?" Anko asked.
"They have approved of my plan," Hiruzen said.
"Thank you, Hokage Sama, anything else?" Anko asked.
"You're free to go home, Anko Chan".
"Have a pleasant night Hokage Sama"
"You too Anko Chan".
Anko grinned and left the room in a swirl of leaves. Hiruzen signed and returned his paperwork.

Naruto sat in the corner of Iruka's hospital room which was a plain room with a bed in the corner, a stool beside it, blue walls, a clock, and a square-shaped window through which he could see the cloudless night sky.
His eyes were red and puffy from the constant crying. He stared at the cloudless moonlight sky in a dazed manner.
The fight between Mizuki and Iruka kept playing in his head.
Flashback
"Naruto, do you know why the villagers despise you?" Mizuki asked with a malicious grin adorning his features.
"Please tell me Mizuki sensei," Naruto said in a desperate tone.
"It is because you are the Kyuu- '' Before Mizuki could finish his sentence he was tackled to the ground by Iruka, both of them barrelled to the ground. Iruka's back smashed the bark of the tree and he groaned in pain. He thought he could hear some bones cracking. Iruka didn't allow getting himself out, he smashed a knee in Mizuki's stomach.
Mizuki stumbled back and coughed. The traitor wasn't a physical fighter and relied on his dumbass tactics other than a full-out brawl and he knew what could trigger the demon brat he removed the large shuriken on his back and tossed it with the best force he could muster in the direction of Naruto who stood still from the shock. Iruka climbed up slowly and winced in pain as he used the last bits of his chakra. He rushed in a burst of speed.
"Die you DEMON" Mizuki shouted. He cackled with malicious laughter. Naruto realised he was going to die DIE!! He realised that he had not become Hokage, he had not made Iruka sensei and Ji-san proud of him. He closed his eyes as tearssprung up them and opened his arms as he decided to embrace death.
I am sorry Iruka sensei, Teuchi ji chan and Ayame. I am so sorry I led a worthless life. I should have listened to you all, he thought with tears of regret. He realized he did not feel pain or the blood gushing out of his body as he opened his eyes he saw Iruka sensei crouching with a shuriken implanted on his back.
"You thought I would let my favorite student die wouldn't you?" Iruka asked, smiling sadly as he coughed a bit of blood on Naruto's face. "I-I-I would never l-let my son d-die," Iruka said in a fatherly tone. He couldn't bear the pain any longer and drifted into unconsciousness. Naruto felt a lot of emotions in two minutes.
He felt anger over the fact Mizuki killed his sensei. He felt foolish because he let him and try to kill him and most of all he felt terrified of seeing his sensei in this condition because of him only if I had been stronger, Naruto thought as tears cascaded from his eyes like a waterfall.
Suddenly orange chakra began oozing out of Naruto's body, his eyes were blood red with slits in them, his whiskers became more pronounced and his nails became claws. He could not remember what happened after that.
Flashback ends
Naruto groggily opened his eyes groaned and stretched. He clutched his head in pain and moaned softly. Naruto looked briefly he realized he was in the hospital What happened? he thought. Suddenly all the memories of last night flashed in his mind stealing the scroll, being tricked by Mizuki earning his hia-tate by mistake and most of all Iruka sensei sacrificing his life for him. Naruto felt distraught over the fact of his sensei sacrificing he whimpered and started sobbing loudly. One of the anbu's sensed his chakra signature glow indicating he was awake and signaled the other anbu.
'Uzumaki is awake'
'I see go inside cat'
'Yes sir'
The anbu with purple hair knocked on his door and heard his soft voice.
"Uzumaki san do you remember what happened last night?" the anbu asked.
"I-I-I d-do" he replied in a croaked voice and so he narrated the incident.
"Thank you Uzumaki san Hokage Sama is excepting you tomorrow," the anbu said. The anbu tilted her head and was about to leave when she heard Naruto's voice.
"Is I-Iruka sensei d-d-dead?" Naruto asked in a voice that was barely above a whisper. Yugao felt her heart break while seeing his broken voice.
"No Umino San is doing fine just anesthetized. His arm is broken and he suffered from a small gash. He lost a little bit of blood. He will wake up in a few hours." Yugao said in the usual anbu voice with a bit of sympathy for the boy. Naruto felt guilt crush his body and wept softly "T-Thank you, Anbu-san. I-Is it ok if I go and see him now?" he asked. "Yes, you may I will take you there," the anbu said.
On reaching Iruka's room which was guarded by two Anbu Yugao gave the signature anbu salute to them they saluted back. Seeing Iruka's frail body connected to Ivyies and drips he felt ashamed he felt guilt swell like a knot in his body and broke down there itself.

Iruka slowly opened his eyes as the sun's rays hit his eyes. He shut his eyes and groaned softly in irritation. He opened his eyes and looked at the clock and it showed 6:18 am. He tried to sit up but groaned in pain.
Naruto woke to hear Iruka's groaning nose, he yawned and dusted his clothes. He stood up and adjusted the pillow for his sensei to sit on. "Ugh," Iruka groaned. "Those tranquilizers can make your head hurt," he said while clutching his forehead in pain.
Naruto said nothing. Iruka saw him and gestured for him to sit on the stool. Naruto stared at his sensei form for a second or two then looked away as guilt swelled like a knot in his body. His sensei looked at him worriedly.
"Naruto it's not your fault-" He was cut off by Naruto.
"IT'S MY FAULT SENSEI IF…. IF I HADN'T TRUSTED THE TEME OR WOULD HAVE BEEN STRONGER THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED TO YOU I'M SORRY SENSEI!" he shouted as tears cascaded from his eyes like a waterfall.
"I-I s-should have paid more attention in the academy" he muttered while sobbing. Iruka's heart broke on seeing his student like this. His eyes also became moist. He couldn't bear to see his happy-go-lucky student in this manner. He motioned Naruto to sit on the bed. Naruto hesitated at first but then nodded. Iruka hugged him tightly
"Let it all out Naruto let it all out Naruto Kun," he said in a fatherly tone.
Naruto hugged him back and buried his face in his sensei's bandaged torso and sobbed quietly. His sensei suppressed his groan of pain.
"I-I-I'm sorry sensei'' he murmured while sobbing. Iruka rubbed his back soothingly, whispering comforting words into his ear.
"You didn't have anyone to teach you the rights and wrongs of the ninja system or morals but now that I am here I will impart my teachings to you and the rest of the students," Iruka told him, smiling broadly.
Naruto's eyes widened and he was speechless. He cried tears of joy. He pulled Iruka sensei into a bone-crushing which knocked the air out of his sensei."N-Naruto you're c-crushing me," he gasped. Naruto gently pulled out of the hug while muttering an apology and rubbing his neck sheepishly. He coughed a few times.
"Now tell me, Naruto, what lessons have you learned from the encounter?" Iruka asked him " Think and answer," he told him. Naruto squinted and appeared in deep thought. It took him a few minutes to answer.
" A ninja shouldn't trust anyone," he replied. "Good and?" Iruka questioned.
"And?" Naruto asked. Iruka sighed and answered.
"A ninja should look underneath the underneath, he/she should analyse their opponent and not jump into battles recklessly," Iruka said, giving a glare to Naruto.
"Sorry sensei," Naruto apologised. "It's okay Naruto," Iruka said.
"Naruto after I get discharged I want you to come to the academy to come to the academy after your training."Iruka declared Naruto gave a broad smile.
"Will you teach me cool jutsu Iruka sensei?" Naruto asked excitedly
"No completing the textbook curriculum will be our main priority," Iruka said
"Fine," he pouted. "I don't want to do Maths and Physics, they have no use in the field," Naruto said."No, we will be covering Biology, History, Geography, and the Shinobi Code of Conduct," Iruka said. His shoulders slumped and he sagged and muttered an "Ok". Iruka chuckled. Naruto looked at the clock and it showed 6:50 am.
"Sensei, I'm running late, I will visit ya later!" Naruto said.
"Before you go to Naruto, wipe your tears," Iruka said, chuckling.
Naruto wiped his tears before a genuine smile graced his rim and whispered an "Arigatou Tou san" and left. Iruka's eyes widened and he smiled softly and waved with his good arm.

It took Naruto ten minutes to reach the academy. He had forgotten that the academy started at 7:30 in the morning so he was 30 minutes early. He entered the academy. He went to the last row, took his seat, crossed his arms and buried his head, and drifted into unconscious bliss. He woke up 25 minutes later when he heard Ino and Sakura bickering.
"Ino-pig move out of the way I WANT TO SIT NEXT SASUKE KUN" she screeched.
"NO I WILL SIT NEXT TO SASUKE KUN" Ino screamed.
"Girls, you know there are two empty seats next to Sasuke right?" Naruto drawled lazily.
"Ohh!" both of them said together.
"FOREHEAD I WILL SIT IN THE MIDDLE" Ino shouted (again).
Their bickering continued Naruto glanced at Sasuke whose eyebrows were twitching and Naruto snickered.
"Naruto, you didn't pass the graduation test. Why are you here?" Shikamaru asked curiously. "Yea get lost dead last" Kiba shouted with Akamaru yipping with his master. The whole class looked at Naruto and started whispering. Ino and Sakura stopped to see the commotion. All stared at Naruto, even Sasuke who looked from his peripheral. Naruto's eyebrows twitched.
"Can't you see a Hitai-ate on my damn forehead?" he growled eyebrows twitching in annoyance.
"But you failed the Graduation Exam. How did you even get the protector?" Ino asked curiously.
''Yea, Naruto Baka" Sakura added "How did you get your Hitai-ate?" she asked.
"Classified," he replied. "Now if you would stop bothering me I would appreciate it," he said in annoyance. "Fine" Ino huffed and looked away.
"I am not obliged to answer your questions and Kiba you almost passed so shut up.," Naruto said with coldness bordering his tone. Kiba growled and ignored him. "HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR?" he snarled coldly. Everyone flinched except Sasuke and Shikamaru gave him a curious stare and looked away, and started whispering to themselves.
Something's off about him, I need to figure this out otherwise my own intelligence would be a troublesome nightmare to handle, he thought before sighing and going back to sleep. The class went quiet after the incident. Naruto grumbled like a certain Uchiha before he grunted and went back to dreamland.
Soon the class door opened and Shinzako Sensei walked in. Shinzako Sensei was a rather short person with long black hair tied up in a ponytail, and brown eyes and wore the standard Konoha chunin uniform. She was the substitute teacher when the class's particular grade or assistant teacher wasn't there.
"Ohayo Gozaimasu Sensei '' everyone greeted except for Shikamaru and Naruto.
"Ohayo" she greeted back. Shinzako sensei looked around and saw Nara and Uzumaki sleeping.
"NARA SAN AND UZUMAKI SAN WAKE UP" Shinzako sensei shouted. Both of them woke up yawning and rubbed the sleepiness from their eyes.
"Troublesome" Shikamaru murmured.
"What the fuck is going on?' Naruto groaned.
"Language Uzumaki san usually I would give you and Shikamaru-san detention for sleeping in my class but since today's your last day I will make an exception." the sensei said in a stern voice.
"Gomen sensei," Naruto and Shikamaru both said in unison.
"Alright, please settle down in class. As you all may know today is the first day of your shinobi career. I and the other senseis at the academy know that you all have given your all and have worked hard to get here but the road ahead is not a safe journey." Zako sensei said in a calm tone with a small smile. All the students paid attention to their sensei except for a few and many of them gulped. "Don't be discouraged. I trust you all know what you were signing up for, she said in a calm tone. " Anyways, let's get to the point. As you all know genin is the first level of shinobi and you will be assigned to teams of three with a Jonin commander who will be your sensei from here on out"
"Team 1 is… Team 2… Team 3…" the sensei continued Naruto turned her out and paid close attention to the team he was going to get assigned to.
"Team 4 consists of Ino Yamanaka, Shino Aburame, and Naruto Uzumaki. Your Jonin commander is Anko Mitarashi" On hearing her name with the dead last and bug boy Ino boiled in anger. "Great, the prettiest kunoichi of the class is with the bug and dead last of the class' ' she drawled sarcastically, a frown marrying her face. Naruto reached his boiling point while Shino showed no reaction.
"I am confident I will be able to crush a ladyfinger's body with one arm" he retorted angrily. "Oh please, the dead son, I bet I will pummel you to the ground with my pinky finger," Ino said hotly, not liking how Naruto insulted her figure.
"You dare? YOU AND ME ON THE TRAINING GROUND Dattebayo" he shouted.
"LET'S GO YOU WILL FEEL SORRY AFTER THIS" Ino growled.
"Enough I demand silence," Shinzako said in a threatening tone while leaking some of her KI. All of them gulped and sat in their seats.
"This isn't over Ino," Naruto said. Ino just glared at him and huffed.
"Now where was I? Team 5…. Team 6.."
"Team 7 consists of Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Kiba Inzuka your jonin commander is Kakashi Hatake"
"Hah true love conquers all Ino pig," Sakura said with a smirk on her face. Ino scowled. Kiba looked at Sasuke superiorly determined to show him who was the alpha of the group, while Sasuke's eyes shined in determination and a cold smirk adorned his features I am one step close to killing you Nii-san he thought darkly and inwardly smiling maliciously envisioning his brother being stabbed multiple times.
"Team 8.. Team 9 is still in circulation and Team 10 is Hinata Hyuga, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi. Your commander is Asuma Sarutobi" the sensei finished.
Choji grinned at her and she joined with Shikamaru gave her a lazy wave not ones knowing what to do Hinata just gave a shy smile and nodded shyly.
I thought I would be paired with Ino because our fathers wanted us to be the generation of the next Ino-Shika-Cho. I will need to ask Dad about this Shikamaru thought.
"Your senseis will be here shortly. I will advise that you get to know about your future teammates. All the best!" Zako sensei smiled proudly at them and left the room.
