INTRODUCTION

A freelance consultant with varied work experience across different fields with a particular set of skills. During my time abroad, I worked with the police and various other law enforcement agencies. Due to the nature of my work, I like to keep an open mind and I try to adapt quickly and learn new things faster. I am a bachelor in journalism, have a double master's degree in contemporary history and criminology, a post graduate diploma in advanced science and pursuing a PhD in psychology.

The Lightman Group is a private company set up by psychologist Dr. Cal Lightman, the world's leading deception expert. The firm serves as an independent contractor in assisting federal agencies, local police, corporations and private individuals with their most difficult cases, reaching the truth through applied psychology, interpreting micro-expressions and body language in order to tell when a subject is lying. I was handpicked by Dr. Cal Lightman himself and was dubbed a 'Natural'.

Special Crimes Unit, Portland August 2021 - Jan 2022

Detective Lieutenant Everett Backstrom was the leader of Portland's newly minted Special Crimes Unit and I was hired to work as his assistant. Here, I had my first hand experience with the intricacies of police work. The S.C.U was tasked with navigating the city's most sensitive and serious cases. I have worked on a plethora of high profile cases. Some of the highlights of my career at the S.C.U includes, investigating the staged-suicide of a senator's son, dealing with a serial arsonist, solving the high profile murder at the cult-like Church of Edification, the murder of a transvestite which was earlier construed as a hate crime and finding a missing girl, which lead to tracking down a predator from seven years ago.

In Contemporary History, I focused on key themes in the history of Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East from the late 19th century onwards. Some of the themes I explored in depth were, the emergence of human rights, the impact of the cultural turn and identity politics on the discipline of history, the role of community archives, digital resources and family histories in the creation of 'people's history' and 'public history' and historical explanation for the extraordinary violence that afflicted the world in the first half of the 20th century.

In Criminology, I examined Criminal Laws, Human Behaviour & Criminality, Contemporary Crimes, NGOs Criminal Justice Administration, Vigilance and Security Management, Terrorism, Forensic Science and Psychology of Criminal Behaviour.

Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Science

University of American Samoa April 2020 – March 2022.

It is a comprehensive course. I had chosen forensic science as my field of study and along with it I pursued botany, geology and anatomy. I did my specialization in toxicology. My final thesis for the course was on the use of slow acting poisons like ricin and how they could have been used to commit murders as they are fairly easy to overlook during an autopsy.
