Such a strange story . . .
It's not one that many would expect to happen. The two never had any real interactions in the public eye.
Perhaps there was a reason for that. After all, as soon as a group of important people found out, they were ridiculed for being together. Nearly three years was a long time to be together without anyone knowing.
How odd for them to keep it quiet for so long . . .
Apologies. It wasn't stated what kind of take this would be. Too busy contemplating their differences. Then again, they have the same amount of differences as they do similarities.
This is a love story, between two shinobi from completely different villages.
Now, don't be mistaken. There is another story, about a shadow and the wind with the very same circumstances. Though they've known each other for just as long, their story isn't ready to be told just yet, especially when it will be just as long as the fox and the moon, if not longer.
This is a story about a puppet master and a weapon mistress.
Never saw it coming, did you?
To be fair, when they first saw each other, they were in a room with over one hundred people. The next time they seen each other was inside a tower in the middle of a forest created for death. In the tower, they watched as people desperately fought to qualify for the next event.
They watched each other, though they came with different outcomes.
The weapon mistress marveled as the puppet user took out his opponent with such ease because of his, well . . . puppets. She had never seen that kind of fighting style before and wanted to know more about it. Maybe learn the trick.
As for the puppet master, he felt sympathy for the weapon mistress when she had to fight his sister.
She never stood a chance.
It's wasn't the weapon mistress's fault that she was so ill-prepared. She had never seen outside villages' weapons before and didn't know what they were capable of.
The puppet master scolded his sister after, insisting that she went too far. The sister merely scoffed, claiming she did hold back for a 'weakling' like the weapon mistress. The puppet master held his tongue—
For he knew better than to tempt fate.
As you may have noticed, this story isn't all about love and romance—
It is also about the tragedies they faced over and over again, like the world was telling them they shouldn't be together.
But who said they would listen?
