Denka Big Swan Stadium, a Multi-Purpose Stadium in Niigata Japan, held many occasions to this day. And in this case, today, it would be the center for holding the Fuji Rock Festival, as millions of people came to hear all types of music from various bands and performers coming from around the world. Some participants in the "Battle of the Bands" section of the Festival were even renowned fighters, known for taking part in the KOF Tournaments for many years already. Among the crowd was Kyo Kusanagi, alongside his girlfriend Yuki, his best friends Benimaru, Goro, and Shingo, his cousins Souji and Aoi, as well as Shun'ei, Meitenkun, and Isla. They were happy to hear, even though most of them were fighters, not musicians. Yuki honestly thought that the festival would be fun.

Benimaru:"Well, I can't complain. Looks like everyone in Niigata is already here."

Kyo:"No kidding. Everyone here seems hyped just to hear some songs."

Yuki:"Well, yeah! It's only one of the biggest occasions to celebrate around here. I could see that a lot of our old friends flew in to have some fun as well."

Shingo:"She's got a point, Kyo. Check who's here."

In the distance, they could see a few familiar faces. As it turns out, Terry Bogard was here with a few of his mutual friends, Blue Mary, Joe, Andy, and Mai, as well as Ryo who was accompanied by King, Yuri, and Robert. They flew in for the Festival, and some of them may be participating in the competition.

Terry:"Robert? Joe? Did you guys remember to grab the instruments?"

Joe:"Yeah. I got them right here."

Joe holds up one instrument case for a guitar, confusing the others.

Yuri:"Uh, Joey, you only grabbed the one case."

Then Robert and Andy come up from behind Joe, holding the rest of the equipment, which was so much, towered over them.

Andy:"YEAH. HE DID!"

Unceremoniously, the two men dropped the rest of the stuff, unamused that Joe had them do all the work.

Robert:"(points backward) ...We'll go get the rest."

Terry:"Well, I hope my drumset survived."

Another group showed the military types, K', who looked like he didn't want to be here, Maxima, Kula, and Whip, as well as Ralf, Clark, and Leona. They were all on a mandatory break from their duties, and Leona was honestly enjoying herself a little, since having reunited with her father, Gaidel, left her feeling more at peace, now that some of her past troubles have been put to rest.

Whip:"Having fun, Leona?"

Leona:"...Yeah. I guess."

K':"How long do we have to be here?"

Kula:"Oh, don't be like that, K'. We got the whole week to celebrate with some music!"

K':"(rolls his eyes behind his shades) Wonderful."

Ralf:"Well, I'm not complaining. Can't remember a time we were out like this."

Clark:"Music isn't really my thing. But I'm hoping at least some of the bands that are playing have good tastes."

There were many other fighters, some of which were part of the previous tournament. Vanessa, Ramón, King of Dinosaurs, B. Jenet, Ángel, and Krohnen. There were some girls, like Alice, Li Xiangfei, Hinako, Malin, Mian, and Sylvie Paula Paula. In another group, there was Kim with May Lee, Jhun, Chang, and Choi. There was also Nelson, Zarina, Bandeiras, Najd and they would be with them. And lastly, there was also Kensou, Kaoru accompanied by Nakoruru, Haohmaru, and Darli Dagger. Each and every one of them were happy to be here and even participate in the competition of the Bands. Some were honestly happier than others to do something other than fight since the last tournament did take a toll on a few of them. Each of them had goals and dreams for their future and were looking to relax for a little bit. For now, the majority of them just want to kick back and enjoy the festival, with its opening performance coming up. Many people headed up to the bleachers, forming an audience, to which their attention was turned towards the grand stage, where all the performances would be going on.

Announcer:"(through a microphone) Welcome, one and all, to the Fuji Rock Festival, here in the Denka Big Swan Stadium!"

The audience cheered, wanting to hear some sweet music already.

Announcer:"We got plenty of great singers and stars out here tonight! So without further ado, let's get this party started with our first band! Give it up for C.Y.S.!"

Amongst the crowd, and with the other bands that signed up for the competition tonight, Kyo and Iori Yagami were quick to react upon seeing three of the Hakkesshus on stage and apparently were the opening act. Yashiro, being the lead guitarist, started off their song, then Shermie on her keyboard followed through before Chris started to sing. Their performance really helped to get the audience hyped for the rest of the concert's upcoming bands, but even as everyone else was having fun, Kyo and Iori were still a bit on edge, keeping their guard up in case those three pulled anything mischievous.

Iori:"Hmm. To think those three would be playing, after all, they've been through hell. They're even lucky to be alive. Still, I'll always show them who's better at what they can do, even music."

The Orochi Followers rocked on for several minutes before their song came to a close, loving the applause they were getting from everyone, and feeling like they got the contest in the bag already. Many judges were present in front of the stage, having been invited from around the world to be a part of the concert, and among them just so happened to be Geese Howard who would be accompanied by his right-hand, Billy Kane, Chizuru Kagura, who was also on guard after seeing the Hakkesshus were here, genuine businessman, Cheng Sinzan, and assistant to Robert Garcia, Karman Cole. Each of them was specifically asked if they could be judges for this contest, and already they could see that things were getting interesting.

Cheng:"Ooh! Well, I can already say that this "Battle of the Bands" is up to a fantastic start! Shame a can't place bets, since I see that these three are winners already."

Geese:"Yes...And here I thought I'd be bored all day. But I must admit that this could prove entertaining...as long as it isn't a pain in the ears."

Karman:"Those three. Despite their history, they have proven to be very good musicians. It's almost unbelievable."

Chizuru:"Yes...Unbelievable. (to herself) It's best to keep an eye on those three. Knowing them, they could be up to something, but I have to play it safe."

Each of the judges gave the opening band a fair, yet splendid rating, to which the C.Y.S. greatly appreciated. Even Chizuru, despite wanting to mark them as a 0, could not deny their spectacular performance and gave them a good score. She, Kyo, and Iori weren't the only ones on edge, as a few others, such as Athena, Terry, and Kim, recognized the three as a possible threat and thought it best to keep it cool and assess the situation before taking action. Nevertheless, the concert continued on with many of the bands doing their best performances yet; Athena's J-Pop music was loved by millions, and the judges could agree that she is outstanding in her originality, giving her some static shocking ratings.

Chizuru:"Athena has always been doing good in her Pop-star career. If I could, I would call her the winner now!"

A few bands later, amazing performances from some worldly-underrated music groups were heard and had millions within the audience roaring in joy and excitement at how great each and every one of them was. When it came time for Iori and his band to shine, some people were blown away by how amazing of a musician Iori really was. Even Kyo had to admit that it shouldn't be taken for granted how surprisingly well Iori was at a guitar...and in singing.

Kyo:"(to himself) Showoff."

Regardless of what he felt, even Chizuru had to admit that Iori made for a very good musician, giving him a fair rating amongst the higher scores. The contest continued on with many bands from around the world showing their music and some of them were better, or worse, than others. Going on for a while, everyone in the stadium was satisfied with the music that they heard, but it wasn't over yet. Seems, as if there was a last-minute entry, as two figures were coming out from the doors, entering the stadium, to which the audience saw them in surprise. The first was a male who had a lean body with a bit of muscle, underneath a sleeveless black leather jacket; leather straps around his wrists. He had black jeans and leather boots adorned with spikes at the toes and skull-shaped knee pads. A chain hanging from a leather belt around his waist, that also had a demon-headed belt buckle. His body was adorning a whole bunch of tattoos, there were dark circles around his eyes and his hair would be in a red Mohawk. The second figure was a female, and she was a being of stunning, but rather demonic beauty. Wearing a black leather vest that showed a bit of cleavage and her belly button, and a set of three belts below her breasts. She had her own black and red wristbands, tight black pants and knee-length boots, and a spiked belt around the waist. She had pale skin, black swept-back hair with red highlights, maroon lips, and red eyeshadow with black mascara.

Announcer:"And for the final act of tonight, having disappeared ten years ago, these two up-and-comers in the rock-n-roll to the heavy metal industry have risen from out of the shadows to make their great comeback and the grand finale to today's concert! I give you Kanato and Hibiki Omagari, the Lovers of Dark Chaos!"

And with that, the audience sent the two returning musicians a loud round of applause. Many in the crowd have heard of them and remember their amazing performances when their music career was rising like a rocket ship, off the ground, and to the stars. But when they mysteriously disappeared before their first album can take off, and with the death of their manager, some people were even dying to hear their music again. Now, they finally get their chance, but they weren't expecting them to have such heavy rebellious punk looks that really fit the duo's name. Amongst the crowd, Kensou's group could feel something strange, with Nakoruru, Haohmaru, and Darli Dagger having a strange feeling in the air.

Kensou:"Is something wrong, you guys"

Nakoruru:"I don't know what it is, but there's something off about those two. As if a dark force is emitting from them."

Kanato:"I must say, it's good to be back!"

Hibiki:"We've been gone for too long, love. And as it turns out, our people have been waiting for us!"

Kanato:"Then let's give them more than what they're asking for!"

Meanwhile, someone else had entered the stadium, a hooded figure with a bit of a female aspect, and she had her eyes set on the two musicians whom the audience was roaring for to start playing their music. Seeing the guitar that Kanato had, the figure's eyes widened in horror underneath her hood.

?:"Oh, my worst fears have been realized."

And with that, Kanato starts off with the sickest guitar riffed that any human could ever hear in their lives. The strings from the guitar were already starting to glow in an unearthly crimson light before looking as if they were generating electricity. Any cheers coming from the audience were almost instantly silenced by the solo Kanato was playing before they were caught under the spell of Hibiki's siren-like voice...quite literally. A lot of the fighters were starting to feel something, and it wasn't pleasant; an inch in their brain they just couldn't scratch, as if something was tempting to fall under the sway of the duet's seemingly magical music. But soon, they would realize the dark power coming from the two, as many of the innocent people within the large crowd were easily following under the duo's control.

And that is when the chaos REALLY started to happen. Energy was practically flowing like electricity through Kanato's guitar, surging through his hands and through the neck, all the way up to the headstock. Suddenly, the energy shot out like a beam and began to hit people, but it did not kill them. No, instead it did something worse, transforming them, corrupting them, as once innocent-looking people were now dressed in all forms of stereotypical punk-like attire, such tight "drainpipe" jeans, plaid/tartan trousers, kilts or skirts, T-shirts, leather jackets, decorated with the duet's painted logo, pins and buttons, and metal studs, chains or spikes, and having footwear such as high-cut Chuck Taylors, trainers, skate shoes, brothel creepers so on. The fighters in the crowd were beginning to realize that these two were turning civilians into hard-headed, rebellious, anarchy-thriving, punk-rock, heavy metal-loving FREAKS!

Yuki:"What is going on?!"

Kyo:"We need to get everybody out of here! (yells as loud as he can) ALRIGHT, EVERYONE! HEAD FOR THE EXITS!"

Kanato and Hibiki continued to rock on stage as the beams were shot from the guitar, hitting and affecting everyone in close proximity to them. Many of the good fighter teams were trying to act, panicking fast, in order to get anyone who wasn't already affected out of the stadium before confronting. All the while, Geese, the CYS, and Iori were trying to leave faster than others while this is going on. All the while, the villain duo would still be rocking out and their new followers would gather around and start worshipping them as punks would.

Kanato:"This is what we wanted for years! Our chance at becoming legends has finally appeared!"

Hibiki:"Yes! Come to us, our followers of anarchy! Today's the day of the glorious new monarchy!"

After several more blasts were shot out toward anyone in the crowd who could not get fast enough, it could be estimated that the Rock Hard Duo had managed to infect one-fourth of the entire stadium, now having a large crowd of followers who were cheering for them like animals. But fortunately, the fighters returned just in time to confront the two, with Kyo leading them and every one of them getting into their respective stances as Kanato and Hibiki's attentions were turned towards the fighters.

Kyo:"We don't know who you are, but you've shown to have darkness within you, spreading it to other people.

Chizuru:"This will not stand! We are here to stop your corruption."

Terry:"So you best change all your victims back before this gets ugly!"

Whip:"Or don't, and give us a challenge! Doesn't bother me in any way."

Leona:"Bring it on."

Nakomaru:"Whatever power you have shall be revoked!"

Hibiki:"Hmm...seems we have a few strays that need to be caught."

Kanato:"Oh, I concur. They'll fall, no matter how many battles they've fought."

Ralf:"Enough with the rhyming! It's freaking creepy!"

Benimaru:"You think you can take us on?"

Goro:"They won't be given the chance."

Hibiki:"Oh, I like some of their styles. But I know we can make them better than before."

Kanato:"If you choose to oppress, this. means. WAR!"

And with that, the whole crowd of transformed punks was sent after the fighters, who advanced upon the corrupted crowd. Knowing that they were innocent civilians turned into mindless slaves forced each of the teams to hold back since they didn't want any innocent blood on their hands. Fortunately, it seemed as if not many of them were really fighters themselves to begin with, as it was almost too easy for the teams to handle. While some of the transformed punks seem to have gotten blunt, makeshift weapons from out of nowhere, lead pipes, spiked bats, wrenches, and sledgehammers to name a few, it still didn't do them much good since they almost knocked out instantly. Still, there were so many of them, and the fighters had to power on through the horde before facing the two themselves. After punching and kicking through many of their followers, the ones to confront Kanato and Hibiki were Ryo, Andy, and King, who took a stance against the two, but it would seem as if the duo were not in the least bit phased.

Kanato:"Well, it seems that we got three to come and upstage us."

Hibiki:"If they wanted a chance at the spotlight, they could've just asked."

Ryo:"We're stopping you here and now!"

The three fighters charged at the corrupted musicians, only for Kanato to take his guitar and swing it across from them, like an axe, landing a nasty hit on Andy before the three were sent back across the stage. Getting back up, Andy had a red cut on his face, much to the dismay of Ryo and King, who were surprised by how Kanato was able to land a hit on him.

Kanato:"We've had a lot of time to pursue new things."

Hibiki:"Such as the art of combat. This is going to be fun."

Shaking their heads, King and Andy advanced toward the two rockers but were caught off guard when Hibiki easily dodged King's spinning kicks, blocking her attacks before landing a few on the bouncer and knocking her back on her butt. Ryo used his Tiger style against Kanato, who was dodging quickly and countering most of his moves, and when he tried to land a punch on the guy, the punk used his guard to block. Much to his shock, when his fist landed on the body of the instrument, Ryo felt like he nearly broke his hand against it, trying to shake off the pain, but not before Kanato bludgeoned him with his guitar. Andy was forced to take on both of them, deciding not to hold back on either of them as he decides to use Hishou Ryuusei Ken against them both. But much to his surprise, Kanato used his guitar to block the move and the blast seemed to have little effect on the instrument, prompting Kanato counter attack himself.

Kanato:"My turn!"

Swinging his axe around himself, the rocker punk jumps and then slams the end of the instrument down onto the stage, sending a concussive blast that throw Andy off his feet and sent him slamming onto the metal frame of the lights, knocking him out. The rest of the fighters, still fighting against the relentless horde, were surprised to see the two rock stars easily take out Andy, Ryo, and King. And then Kanato held up his guitar as he and Hibiki walked up to three downed fighters...

Kanato:"Well, that was fun. I'll bet we can play with the rest of them soon enough."

Hibiki:"Yeah. But as for these three, it feels like a waste to do them in. Love, care to do the honors."

Kanato:"My pleasure, sweetheart."

Seeing the rocker raise his arm, about to bring it down, Terry looked horrified to see what they were gonna do to his friends and brother.

Terry:"NO!"

But it was too late, as Kanato brought his hand down on the guitar and sent beams at all three of them, engulfing them in their corrupted power before they came out as newly transformed, rebellious, anarchy-loving punks. King was now wearing ripped flare-leg jeans with dirty sneakers, and had only her strapless bra on her chest, something she would normally hate wearing in front of people. Her normally short, well-kept hair was now curled at the tips with split ends, and black eye shadow and lipstick were put in as new makeup on her face. Ryo's hair was still in its "mullet" glory, but now the guy was wearing a black sleeveless jacket with a tiger symbol on the back, over a plain grey shirt that showed off his muscular figure. He was also wearing black ripped jeans and black boots, and the look on his face showed that he was just itching to punch anybody he sees. As for Andy, whose warrior gi was now replaced with tight pants, leather boots, a fishnet shirt underneath a leather jacket with rolled-up sleeves, his long blonde hair was now dirty and unkempt, with a red bandage over it, and with shades over his eyes. The three fighters had their personalities changed to be nothing more than ruthless brutes for Kanato and Hibiki to use at their disposal, as the rest of the fighters were still in shock at what happened to them, especially Terry, who kept his sights on his brother.

Terry:"Andy! Are you-?"

He didn't have time to finish what he was saying, as his own brother kicked him in the chest, sending him back and forcing Blue Mary and Joe to catch him. Mai walked up to see what has become of the man she loved with shock and horror, as she realized he became what she hated most.

Mai:"Andy..."

Andy:"Get lost, dweebs! You're standing in the way of our bosses!"

King:"Yeah! We don't have time to waste on you!"

Ryo grunted in agreement as the rest of the fighters were still in shock at what happened to them.

Yuri:"King..."

Robert:"Ryo!"

Kanato:"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Too bad for the lot of you. They're ours now."

Hibiki:"And so, will the rest of you be, as we take you, and take the world as well."

And with that, the newly transformed Punk Fighters advanced upon their former, shocked friends, who realized that they were for more a challenge than the previously thought. No matter what happens, they now know that this is a fight they NEED to win...
