Roxy woke up and noticed a tray of food in front of her. She looked around and noticed the group of Jacob, Phoebe and Sylvie doing different things. Jacob, still asleep laying against the wall, Sylvie was dipping her arrows in a dark purple liquid and Phoebe was washing the dishes that were used to make Roxy's breakfast.

Roxy: What is going on?

Phoebe: We walked into Jake's room to wake him up for our quest, and imagine our surprise seeing a fox girl in his bed and him on the floor asleep.

Roxy is nervous and sits up to explain that he gave her the bed and laid on the floor himself.

Phoebe: It's alright we know Jake has a big heart and noticed you were in trouble.

Sylvie: It's also possible he offered you food, looking at you you'd think you hadn't had a decent meal in awhile.

Roxy explains her situation to them like she did to Jacob the night before, the girls look at her with stone expressions before Phoebe and Sylvie start talking to each other.

Phoebe: So what do you think?

Sylvie: I won't know until he wakes up and we see what happens from there.

Roxy is confused about what their conversation is about. Around that time Jacob was stirring awake and the girls looked at him. He stretched and every joint in his body popped symbolizing that he was up and ready to go. He looked around and noticed that 6 pairs of eyes were staring at him.

Jacob: Good morning ladies. How did everyone sleep?
Phoebe: We slept fine dear Jake.

Jacob: Awesome, and you?

He looked at Roxy and she responded that it was the most comfortable bed she's ever laid on.

Jacob: Alright good, after you eat we're heading to the guild to get a quest why not join it?

Roxy: They won't allow a beastman to join.

Jacob: Why not the receptionist is a half elf half orc, I saw 2 Onis in there as well. Are you sure you're not just nervous from your treatment over the last 6 months are you?
Roxy then starts to tear up remembering all her pain from the verbal and physical assault from everyone she came across, but she remembers Jacobs' kindness "Come on you can't sleep out here".

Roxy: W-will you come with me to help me register?

She has tears in her eyes and is clearly distraught at the idea of registering. Jacob smiled.
Jacob: Of course.

The group leaves the inn Roxy stays close to Jacob holding onto his cloak for dear life. They make it to the guild and Roxy feels anxious entering a building filled with people who could hurt her like everyone else has. Jacob, sensing her anxiety, decides to inform her.

Jacob: Don't worry I won't let anyone hurt you.

Roxy looks at him, in her eyes she sees him in a radiant light pushing the darkness around her away. She feels comfort from his words and being around him, she says ok and calms herself down. The group enters the guild hall Almar welcomes them back and notices Roxy hooded behind Jacob.

Almar: Oh, did you bring someone who wants to join?

Jacob: Yeah, Roxy go ahead.

Roxy reluctantly steps forward and hands Almar a gold coin to register as a guild member. Alamar takes the coin and returns 35 silver coins to her and brings out a crystal ball to determine her level. Her status screen pops up.

Roxy starts getting nervous knowing that she was just ousted as a Beastman. Almar then puts a card in front of her showing her name and rank, an E adventurer.

Almar: Welcome to the guild lady Roxanne

Roxy is surprised that she wasn't denied and insulted, she looks at Jacob who is smiling at her and congratulates her on joining the guild and hopes she won't need to starve anymore. Jacob and his group decide to take a C rank quest and bid Roxy farewell. Roxy saw them off and wished she could have gone with them, unbeknownst to her a man was standing behind her with a dark aura.

Our group went on a quest to defeat a monster terrorizing the local small village around 10 miles from the main town. The monster, a Chimera, had been killing the livestock of the farmers and had taken the life of a few farmers, causing a request from the citizens.

Jacob: So a Chimera huh, that's neat

Sylvie: I have never seen one before

Jacob: I wonder if they look like the ones from my worlds mythology

Phoebe: How are they described there?

Jacob: A fire breathing Lion with a goat head on its back and a poisonous snake for a tail.

Sylvie looked as if she was going to faint hearing the description and Phoebe laughed and said that we would see if our worlds had something in common.

Sylvie: Wait Phoebe you've never seen one?!

Phoebe: Oh goodness no, I was a member of the church before joining Jake. I never saw any creatures for combat purposes.

Sylvie's face is filled with dread meeting a creature that could have 3 different animal heads. Jacob just laughs, puts his hands behind his head and says that there's nothing to worry about and that the 3 of them could take it on no problem. While searching in the forest they found the giant Chimera looking exactly how Jacob described. Sylvie yelped in surprise, Phoebe gasped and Jacob just whistled.

Jacob: That's a big boy. I'm surprised it looks like the ones in mythology, only with more scales than I thought.

Sylvie pulled her bow taut ready to fire her poison arrows. Phoebe closed her middle and ring fingers on both hands and magic circles formed over them. Jacob just put his hand up signaling them to stand down.

Sylvie: Jake we need to fight that or we're gonna die.

Jacob: Just hang on, I wanna try something.

Jacob put his right hand out palm facing the Chimera which was ready to pounce. A bright yellow ball formed in front of Jacob's hand, at that moment the Chimera jumped right at Jacob fangs ready to bite. Sylvie pulled her bow string again but before she could fire Jacob screamed Big Bang Attack. At that moment the ball fired with speed and gained size as it hit the Chimera. Once the light dissipated only the horn of the goat head remained, the rest had been completely destroyed.

Jacob: Whoops, do you think the horn is enough to prove we killed it?
Sylvie awe struck at what she saw and asked what attack that was.

Jacob: Like I said I can use attacks from my favorite fictional characters, the person who created that attack could have easily destroyed the planet if he wanted to, I don't think I could do that with his power even if I was max level.

Jacob started laughing, but the girls were utterly speechless, a power to destroy the planet and he used it to kill an at best B-Rank monster. Phoebe started to smile.

Phoebe: Dear Jake, I believe that you will easily defeat the demon lord.

Jacob: I'm not sure, if I was by myself I'd probably lose. Even with Ron and Marco adding to it the 3 of us might not be enough but I know for a fact that you guys and the teams they make will be unbeatable.

Phoebe and Sylvie both smiled and appreciated his words. They leave the forest with the horn and return to Morsun to cash in the quest. They passed multiple citizens from the little village who thanked them profusely for saving their home. They inform them that it was no problem and wish them good health and prosperity.

After returning to Morsun they make their way to the guild hall only to see a group of people crowding the center of town. The group came to see what the commotion was and noticed that Roxy was tied down and being beaten by several men, her face was swollen, her arms and legs broken and blood covered her and the men. Jacob began to see red as he saw a girl who had been abused by the world and left with nothing but pain and fear being destroyed once again. He clenched his fists so hard they started to bleed, Phoebe and Sylvie saw his anger and the poor bloodied girl they had fed and helped on the ground, and couldn't help but swell with tears of rage and sadness.

Jacob: Phoebe, Sylvie. Stay here.

Phoebe and Sylvie couldn't move, feeling the murder intent emanating from his body. They say nothing and stand there wishing they could do something to calm their hero down. Jacob took one step forward causing the ground to shake and wind to disrupt the crowd.

Jacob: Anyone who doesn't want what's about to happen to kill them better leave now.

Most of the crowd could feel his rage and began to run away, the group of men beating Rox stood there unfazed by his aura.

Brute 1: She had what was coming to her, this Beast deserves nothing but death for what she is

Brute 2: She also deserve this for being a thief and costing me a profit

The 3 other men with them agreed and demanded that Jacob stay out of their affair. Jacob looked at the 5 men with nothing but hatred and contempt in his eyes.

Jacob: For being a thief she deserves death, for what she is she deserves death. People like you make me sick. She has known nothing but suffering and hatred from everyone, even the people of her own kind.

The brutes laughed

Brute 1: Even they hate their own kind.

Brute 3: Maybe that filthy race will send itself into extinction.

Jacob felt something snap in him released enough aura that he knocked 2 of the brutes off their feet.

Brute 1: Someone read his level this is intense.

Brute 4: His level is only 22.

Brute 1: We're in the mid 40's this will be easy.

All 5 proceeded to put their hands up and all had red magic circles, they shouted Fireball and 5 simultaneous fireballs fired at Jacob.

Jacob: Phoebe, Sylvie grab Roxy and get somewhere safe, you're in the splash zone.

Phoebe and Sylvie affirmed and moved, right then the blast collided with Jacob. Phoebe grabbed Roxy and moved her to the roof of a building, Sylvie joined keeping an eye on the smoke filled area where Jacob was. Phoebe proceeds to heal the gravely injured Roxy, her bones slowly set, and the swelling on her face goes down, she starts opening her eyes to see Phoebe.

Roxy: W-what happened?
Phoebe: Oh good you're alive, Jake will be happy

Roxy: Jake? Wait where am I, what's going on?

Sylvie: You were being beaten to death and Jake stepped in to save you right now he took 5 fireballs directly.

Roxy: What!

Roxy stumbles to the edge of the building seeing the massive fire. She begins to cry thinking she got the one person who showed her compassion killed.

Roxy: I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I never wanted this.

Phoebe consoles her and informs her that the fight isn't over yet. Roxy looks over and sees the Brutes closing in on the fire laughing.

Brute 1: He wasn't so tough, now let's find that beast and finish this.

Brute 5: Wait what's that noise?

Inside the fire a buzzing can be heard, almost as if an insect is flying in the fire. They move closer only to hear a metallic noise say "Change Beetle". Jacob waves the fire away with his hand revealing him in Kamen Rider Kabuto's armor. The brutes confused and scared jump back, Roxy and the girls look at him with amazement.

Brute 1: W-what what are you?
Jacob: Clock up.

Jacob slaps the mechanism on his hip which repeats "Clock up", in that moment Jacob is moving faster than the eye can blink. The brutes are looking around scared and confused, out of nowhere the 4th brute is sent flying backwards into a wall, the 3rd and 2nd brutes are sent flying and the 5th his slammed deep in the ground the lead brute is now pissing his pants scared and he runs away, out of the corner of his eye he sees a red blur and the next thing he knows he's 15 feet in the air, he hears a noise count "1,2,3" the next thing he hears is "Rider Kick" the brute scared and confused on what that means then hears "Clock over" and sees Jacob standing under him, his leg glowing. Jacob kicks the brute sending him crashing through several houses, after he lands broken and bloodied Jacob drops to a knee and de-transforms. Jacob panting hard realized he over exerted himself using a power he had barely tested, he started coughing up blood and realized that his body isn't used to using this amount of power and couldn't handle the physical force behind his movement. Phoebe, Sylvie, and Roxy came down to check on him, Phoebe noticed the blood on his lip and the color that drained from his face, she also noticed that his leg was injured and swollen from the kick he delivered.

Phoebe: I didn't know you could be hurt considering your ability.

Jacob: I'm still human, but I wasn't expecting this amount of recoil damage from it. I guess I still need to practice transforming more before utilizing it against deadlier opponents.

Sylvie: But that was incredible, you were moving so fast we couldn't see you, and that final kick was intense.

Jacob: Thanks Sylvie.

At that moment Roxy ran and jumped into Jacobs arms throwing him off balance.

Jacob: Ow, ow, ow.

Roxy was crying and apologizing profusely but never pulled her head from his chest.

Roxy: You helped me yet again even when I didn't deserve it. I've been nothing but a burden to you and now you're injured from helping me.

Jacob patted her head and hugged her back

Jacob: Roxy, I'm glad you're okay. I was scared you would've been killed by them

Roxy holds tighter to Jacob crying harder than before, she had never felt this much sadness and happiness at the same time. For more than half a year she had been despised and hunted by those who saw her existence as worthless, she believed she had been cursed from the day she was born suffocating in a world full of darkness, until one day the brightest light shone and the warmth of it gave her peace. She never wanted to be in the darkness ever again, all she wanted was this peace she felt to last forever.

Roxy: Jacob, I know I have no right to ask, but can I join you?

Jacob, Phoebe, and Sylvie all looked shocked at her question not expecting her to ask it. They all looked at each other and smiled.

Jacob: Of course you can.

Roxy looked at Jacob, tears still flowing down her cheeks, she was fully expecting him to turn her down. She smiled the biggest smile anyone had ever seen and from the bottom of her heart she thanked him.

After a full healing session the group made their way back to the inn, only to find that they had been banned for all the damage they caused to the city. The guild had also suspended their licenses pending an investigation into the matter. They weren't even allowed to inform the receptionist Almar that they had completed their Chimera quest to pick up their funds.

Jacob: Well this sucks I wasn't expecting all that to happen.

Phoebe: It is to be expected, you did extensive damage to the town and many peoples property defeating 5 brutes.

Roxy: I'm so sorry, this is all my fault.

Jacob: Ahh it's alright, we needed to move on anyway to the next location of our journey.

Sylvie: We can camp out in the woods, I'm used to that anyway.

Jacob: Sounds like fun to me, I'm sure if we talk to a guild in the next town we can turn in the info and get our payment there.

Phoebe: I'm not sure, quests are usually only set and paid in the town they originate from.

Jacob: Aw man really. Well whatever, all that matters is that little village is safe. Let's get going girls.

Girls: Yeah.

In a far distant land covered in ruin and thunder the demon lord Azrael sits idly on his throne. He has long black hair, blood red eyes, horns protruding from his head. His body is attached to what looks like tubing as if he is on life support, he towers over his subordinates who are like ants to his size. They kneel before their lord waiting for his direction when out of the shadows Ostrel the demon prince walks out. He is the spitting image of his father, dressed in fancy evening attire standing in front of his father reaching no higher than his knee calls one his Lieutenants Bazrik up to him. Bazrik looks as if he's a revived mummy with his face covered in bandages revealing only his left bloodshot eye, his claws are long enough that he could stab through a person's torso to the other side. His body is malnourished and covered in scars, and he walks only on his tiptoes. He kneels in front of his prince.

Bazrik: How may I serve you my lord.

Ostrel: There has been word that the kingdom of Rayner has successfully summoned 3 heroes to depose us. It is the will of my father that you take on one of the three, Vorgud and Sorketh will take on the other 2. You will kill them and bring their heads as proof of their defeat. Is that clear?

Ostrel: Crystal clear my lord. It shall be done.
