Chapter 22: Three Paths of Training
A/N- It is actually 4 but you will understand by the end of the chapter. I did change my mind obviously about the setup too. I thi nk I will give at least a chapter for the training for the main three characters, maybe one for Kin, and maybe one for the rest of the group before I start the exams. Yes, they will still be interrupted, not sure when and even if anyone will become a chunnin in this story. Thanks for reading and have a good day.
The next day, Jiraiya gathered Kizumi and Naruto together, a serious expression on his face. They could sense that something important was about to be discussed.
"Kizumi, Naruto," Jiraiya began, his tone firm yet compassionate. "I need to talk to you both about your training for the upcoming month."
Kizumi and Naruto exchanged curious glances, their attention fully on their sensei.
"I've been thinking about this carefully," Jiraiya continued. "And I've come to a decision. You both have shown remarkable progress and potential, and it's important to me that you receive the best training possible."
Kizumi's brows furrowed slightly, sensing that a change was coming.
"With that in mind," Jiraiya continued, "I've arranged for you to train with two exceptional individuals. Kizumi, you'll be training with Yasashī Hiro, a skilled jounin of the Leaf Village. He's got a wealth of experience and knowledge that can help you hone your abilities even further."
Kizumi's eyes widened in surprise and curiosity. "Yasashī Hiro? I've heard about him. He's a strong and respected ninja."
Jiraiya nodded. "Exactly. I believe his guidance will be invaluable to you."
Naruto shifted on his feet, his blue eyes curious. "And what about me, Ero-Sennin?"
Jiraiya's gaze softened as he turned to Naruto. "Naruto, I've arranged for you to train with Maito Gai."
Naruto's eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and excitement coursing through him. "Maito Gai? The Green Beast? Seriously?"
Jiraiya chuckled, his smile warm. "Yes, seriously. Gai is an eccentric character, but he's an exceptional ninja with unique training methods. I believe training under him will push you to new heights."
Kizumi and Naruto exchanged glances, a mix of emotions swirling within them. Kizumi was intrigued by the prospect of training with Yasashī Hiro, while Naruto was thrilled at the idea of learning from the legendary Maito Gai.
"I know this might come as a surprise," Jiraiya said, his tone serious. "But I want you both to understand that this decision is about helping you grow, not playing favorites. Each of you will have the opportunity to learn and improve in your own way."
Kizumi nodded, a determined expression on her face. "I understand, Jiraiya-sensei. I'm grateful for the opportunity."
Naruto grinned, his excitement contagious. "You got it, Ero-Sennin! I'm gonna become a total beast under Gai-sensei's training!"
Jiraiya chuckled, ruffling Naruto's hair affectionately. "I have no doubt about that. Remember, the goal is to become stronger and better prepared for the finals. Train hard and make the most of this opportunity."
Jiraiya made his way to find Shiza, his steps purposeful as he approached his student. He found Shiza in a training area, his focus dedicated to honing his skills. Jiraiya's presence caught Shiza's attention, and he turned to face his sensei, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Shiza," Jiraiya began, his tone serious yet supportive. "I need to talk to you about your training for the upcoming month."
Shiza nodded, his expression attentive. "Sure, Jiraiya-sensei. What's the plan?"
Jiraiya took a moment, considering his words carefully. "I've arranged for you to train under the guidance of Hade Wain."
Shiza's brows furrowed slightly as he processed the name. "Hade Wain? I don't think I've heard of him before."
Jiraiya's lips curved into a small smile. "Hade Wain was a legendary ninja known for his expertise in combat and strategic thinking. He specialized in a unique form of martial arts that focuses on using energy and breathing techniques to enhance one's physical abilities and harness spiritual power."
Shiza's interest was piqued, and he nodded thoughtfully. "Sounds intriguing. What does this training entail?"
Jiraiya's gaze held a mixture of pride and seriousness. "Hade Wain's training is rigorous and demanding, but it has the potential to unlock hidden depths within your abilities. You'll learn to channel and control your energy, enhancing your strength, speed, and techniques."
Shiza's eyes lit up with a spark of determination. "I'm in."
Jiraiya nodded approvingly. "Good. Hade Wain is a tough teacher, but he'll help you tap into your potential like never before. Remember, this is about pushing your limits and becoming the strongest shinobi you can be."
Shiza's resolve solidified, and he met Jiraiya's gaze with unwavering determination. "I won't let you down, sensei. I'll give it everything I've got."
Jiraiya's smile widened. "That's the spirit, Shiza. Train hard, learn well, and make the most of this opportunity. Your growth is my priority, and I have no doubt you'll make great strides under Hade Wain's guidance."
Kazuki arrived at training ground 11, his steps confident and his demeanor eager. He spotted Yasashī Hiro standing amidst the training area, his posture exuding a sense of refinement and strength. Kazuki approached him with a friendly smile, his eyes reflecting a readiness for the training that lay ahead.
"Yasashī Hiro-san, it's an honor to meet you," Kazuki greeted warmly.
Yasashī Hiro turned to face Kazuki, his own smile genuine and welcoming. "The pleasure is mine, Kazuki. I've heard great things about your potential, and I'm looking forward to helping you grow even further."
Kazuki's excitement was palpable. "I've been looking forward to this. What's the plan for our training?"
Yasashī Hiro's gaze held a hint of determination. "Our focus will be on refining your combat skills, enhancing your physical abilities, and strengthening your resolve. But more importantly, we'll work on cultivating your inner character and integrity, shaping you into a true shinobi and a fine man."
Kazuki nodded, his curiosity piqued. "I'm ready to learn and train, Yasashī Hiro-san."
Yasashī Hiro's expression grew more serious. "Our training won't be easy. I'll push you beyond your limits, challenge you to confront your weaknesses, and guide you toward self-discovery. The path to greatness is demanding, but the rewards are immeasurable."
Kazuki's determination shone through his eyes. "I'm up for the challenge. I want to become the best version of myself."
Yasashī Hiro's smile returned, a mix of approval and encouragement. "That's the attitude I was hoping for. We'll start with rigorous physical training, honing your strength, speed, and endurance. But remember, the true strength of a shinobi lies not only in their physical prowess but also in their mental fortitude and sense of duty."
Kazuki nodded solemnly. "I understand. I'm ready to give it my all."
Yasashī Hiro extended a hand, and Kazuki shook it firmly, sealing their agreement. "Then let's begin, Kazuki. Our journey over the next month will be challenging, transformative, and rewarding. Together, we'll shape your path and forge your destiny."
Meanwhile, as Shiza was out and about, he found himself unexpectedly approached by a charismatic and dignified figure. The man's presence commanded attention, and his voice held a mix of authority and warmth. Shiza turned to face him, his curiosity piqued.
"Ah, greetings, young shinobi," the man began with a bow, his hat casting a shadow over his face. "I am Hade Wain, but you may call me Hade. I've been told you possess great potential, and I have come to offer you my guidance."
Shiza blinked in surprise, intrigued by the man's aura and the air of experience that surrounded him. "Hade Wain? It's an honor to meet you."
Hade chuckled, his demeanor reminiscent of his ancestor. "The honor is mine, Shiza. I believe we have much to learn from each other."
Shiza's interest was piqued. "So, you're going to be my trainer?"
Hade nodded, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Indeed. My goal is to shape you into a splendid shinobi, someone who can wield their strength with grace and protect those dear to them."
Shiza's curiosity turned into excitement. "I'm ready for the training, Hade-sensei."
Hade's lips curled into a mischievous smile. "Excellent. But before we proceed, allow me to point out something amusing." He gestured subtly behind Shiza.
Confused, Shiza turned his head, only to find Kin standing there, her presence betrayed by a mixture of curiosity and embarrassment. Shiza's cheeks flushed slightly, and he quickly turned back to Hade.
"I see you have an admirer," Hade remarked with a knowing twinkle in his eye.
Shiza stammered, flustered by the unexpected attention. "I-I... It's not what it looks like!"
Hade laughed heartily, his boisterous spirit filling the air. "No need to be shy, my young friend. Love is a powerful motivator, after all."
Kin's face turned even redder, and she tried to hide her face behind her hands, mortified by the situation.
Hade's expression turned serious as he addressed Shiza once more. "Now, onto the matter at hand. My training methods are rigorous and demanding. We will focus on refining your physical abilities, sharpening your instincts, and developing your tactical prowess. You will face challenges that will test your limits and push you to new heights."
Shiza's determination remained unwavering. "I'm ready to put in the work, Hade-sensei."
Hade's gaze bore into Shiza's, his intensity unwavering. "Good. Remember, the path to becoming a splendid shinobi is not without its obstacles, but the rewards are worth every ounce of effort. Let's begin, Shiza."
Naruto's excitement was palpable as he ventured out to find Maito Gai, determined to meet his new trainer and dive headfirst into the intense training he had heard so much about. He followed his instincts and soon found himself face to face with the exuberant and eccentric figure of Gai, who was striking his iconic poses with gusto.
"Yo, Gai-sensei! I'm here and ready to train!" Naruto exclaimed with boundless energy.
Gai's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as he turned to Naruto, his trademark smile brightening the surroundings. "Naruto, my youthful apprentice! I sense the fire of determination burning within you!"
Naruto grinned back at Gai, feeling an immediate connection with the exuberant ninja. "You bet, Gai-sensei! I'm pumped up and ready to go!"
Gai clapped his hands together, his voice ringing with enthusiasm. "Excellent! But before we dive into the fiery depths of our training, we must partake in a challenge of true youthfulness!"
Naruto raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A challenge? What kind of challenge?"
Gai struck a dramatic pose, his voice taking on a theatrical tone. "Behold, the Great Gai's Bowl of Flames Challenge! We shall feast upon this blazing bowl of curry, igniting the flames of our spirits before we embark on our training journey!"
Naruto couldn't help but chuckle at Gai's over-the-top antics. "Alright, Gai-sensei, let's do it!"
The two of them sat down and shared a hearty meal, their laughter and camaraderie filling the air. Once the curry challenge was complete, Gai's expression turned serious, and he fixed Naruto with a determined gaze.
"Now, Naruto, let us discuss the training that lies ahead," Gai began, his voice taking on a more focused tone. "My training regimen is not for the faint of heart. We will focus on honing your physical strength, stamina, and mental fortitude. We will push ourselves to the limits and beyond, embracing the power of youth!"
Naruto's eyes gleamed with excitement, his determination unwavering. "I'm ready for whatever you've got, Gai-sensei! I want to become stronger and prove myself!"
Gai nodded, a fire burning in his eyes. "Then let us begin, Naruto! We shall rise to new heights together, embracing the power of youth and becoming shining beacons of strength and courage!"
As the month of intense training began, Team Jiraiya embarked on their separate paths, each member eager to grow stronger and face the challenges that awaited them. Jiraiya, the legendary Sannin, took it upon himself to guide and mentor his three students, ensuring that they would emerge from this training period as formidable shinobi.
Jiraiya's first stop was to find Kin, who was still feeling the embarrassment of her encounter with Shiza and Hade. He had noticed her determination and desire to improve, both as a ninja and as someone who wanted to be worthy of Shiza's attention. Jiraiya, being no stranger to the intricacies of romance himself, understood the complexities of such feelings.
He found Kin sitting alone by a tranquil stream, lost in her thoughts. With a characteristic grin, Jiraiya approached her, his presence catching her by surprise.
"Mind if I join you, young lady?" Jiraiya's voice was friendly and warm.
Kin looked up, her cheeks flushing slightly as she realized who was addressing her. "S-Sensei! Of course, please sit."
Jiraiya settled down beside her, his eyes twinkling with understanding. "I couldn't help but notice that you've got something on your mind, Kin. Something that's been bothering you."
Kin hesitated for a moment before sighing softly. "It's... about Shiza, Sensei. I want to... become better, stronger. I want him to see me as someone who can stand by his side."
Jiraiya nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Ah, matters of the heart, huh? Well, I can certainly relate to that. You know, I'm not just a ninja; I'm also a renowned author. And let me tell you, there's nothing more inspiring than a good romance."
Kin blinked in surprise, her curiosity piqued. "You're an author too, Sensei?"
Jiraiya chuckled. "Indeed! But let's focus on you for now. If you want to improve, both as a shinobi and as someone Shiza might admire, then I'm here to help. I'll train you, mentor you, and guide you toward becoming the kind of person you aspire to be."
A mixture of determination and gratitude welled up in Kin's eyes as she looked at Jiraiya. "Thank you, Sensei. I... I'll do my best."
Jiraiya's grin widened. "That's the spirit! Now, let's get started. We've got a lot of work to do."
And so, under the guidance of the legendary Sannin, Kin's journey of growth and self-discovery began. Jiraiya's training would challenge her both physically and emotionally, pushing her to her limits and helping her unlock her full potential. As the days passed, Kin would learn to harness her skills, strengthen her resolve, and embrace her own unique path as a shinobi.
The chapter ended with a sense of anticipation and determination in the air, as Team Jiraiya's members embarked on their individual journeys of training and self-improvement. The path ahead was filled with challenges and obstacles, but also with the promise of growth, camaraderie, and the unwavering support of their mentors and friends. The month of training had begun, setting the stage for the trials and triumphs that awaited them in the upcoming finals of the Chunin Exams.
