Chapter Nine: Head-boy and Head-girl
Lily looked after her real body. She was both angry and disappointed. It was a very strange feeling. For a few moments she didn't move, then somebody touched her shoulder and said: "Prongs, you never learn, do you?" This was Sirius.
She turned around and said: "So it seems…"
Sirius grinned and suggested then to pick up Remus and Peter and a find a good compartment. Lily agreed and so they looked where Remus and Peter went.
Okay this was the first and maybe most difficult encounter… Now I have to try to understand James better and see whether I should follow the advise of this idiot inside my head and really attempt to get body Lily to go out with him.
Just thinking about this mess of a situation she was in made her head spin…
If this situation gets ever resolved nobody will believe me… But I wouldn't care as long as everything is normal again.
By now they found Remus and Peter and together they said goodbye to their parents.

Meanwhile James had found also Lily's friends. He greeted Alice, Mary and Iris and asked how they had been since last they met in Diagon Alley. Alice said: "I was camping with my parents, it was wonderful being in nature and walking around the forest and mountains." James laughed and said: "I like this as well, that's why I look forward to be back in Hogwarts with its grounds and the forbidden forest!"
Alice and Mary looked now shocked and Iris lifted an eyebrow.
Oh no… I guess Lily wouldn't ever enter the forbidden forest.
He quickly said: "I mean the forbidden forest is of course of limits but the lake and the fresh air, it is always so relaxing to walk at the lakeside and don't think about anything."
Alice and Mary were still a bit surprised but they didn't say anything. Iris said suddenly: "Let's find a good compartment so we can all stay together!" James was relived about this distraction and agreed immediately. So they went to their parents to say goodbye.

While Lily was entering the train she saw how Petunia hugged Lily and said: "Send me some letters from Hogwarts!" She couldn't hear her because they already were inside the train.
What happened since I lost control of myself? Petunia and I are back on good terms…
It didn't took too much time and they found an empty compartment. They went inside and Lily took the seat directly next to the window. She looked out and saw herself still talking with Petunia and her parents.
This is so weird … Is James maybe really inside my real body and he charmed Petunia? Why did he then not said 'yes' when I accidentally asked him for a date?
She continued to look at herself for a while longer until Sirius asked her something. "Prongs are you with us?" She turned to James' friends and said: "Yes of course… What's up?"
Peter smiled and said: "He hasn't listened to you at all because he was in his 'Lily-is-the-most-beautiful-girl-in-the-world-and-when-I-look-at-her-nothing-else-matters' universe!"
Is this really a normal conversation between this guys? Is James really like this when I don't control him?
She didn't answer to Peter or Sirius so a few moments later Remus said: "It looks this way… Let him be there and how about we play some games!" Sirius and Peter agreed and so she again looked out of the window. By now Lily must have entered the train because she wasn't any longer standing with her family.

A few hours later James stood up and said to Lily's friends: "I need to go to the compartment for the Head-boy and Head-girl. I'm curious who will be my partner." Iris winked and suggested: "Maybe it will be James and you two can have some bonding time together!"
Hmm… Theoretical this sounds nice but I'm not sure whether the inner-Lily will let this happen. Also I refused myself just a few hours ago. It would be weird if Lily would change her mind so quickly. And of course it would be weird for me if I would flirt with a boy. I mean I know I'm inside of Lily and Lily is a girl… But I am still a boy.
His head spun because of this thoughts, so he just said: "Likely not…" With this words he left the compartment and walked through the train. While walking a voice in his head asked him: "What if you will stay inside her body forever? And what about your promise you made at the beginning of this summer?"
It wasn't the inside Lily of course who asked his. It was a part of his subconscious. He thought back to the beginning of summer where he swore to do everything so he and Lily could one day be a loving couple.
I know… I know… I love her! And if this situation would never change I would also love him.
He arrived now the right compartment and opened the door.

Lily was already sitting in the compartment where he was supposed to meet his future partner.
I will be the Head-boy and whoever comes now will be the Head-girl. It still feels so weird to think of myself as boy, but clearly I am.
Right when she thought this someone opened the door and in the door frame her real body was standing.
"Lily… Please go out with me this year!"
Damn I did it again. It seems in this way I can't control James!
She immediately attempted to add something to avoid being refused again, but her real body was faster.

James opened his mouth to say "No you idiot, I would never go out with you!" But surprisingly she instead said: "Okay you idiot! I will give you one chance!"
