Bella

"Ladies and gentlemen, I want to thank you so much for coming out to help us welcome our family home. As you know, our Edward has been spending a lot of time in the states. We decided it was about time we shared with you the reason why; we're very pleased to introduce to you his daughter, Elizabeth."

Alice led Elizabeth out and Edward met them half way up the stairs, beaming a blinding smile at the crowd as he walked his daughter into the middle of the room and spun her around the dance floor.

"We're also pleased and very excited to announce that Elizabeth's mother, Isabella Swan, is here as well and carrying Edward's newest addition to our family, Anthony. Her dear friends, Angela Weber and Rosalie Hale, are assisting her this evening and you'll soon see why."

Rose and Angela each took one of my arms and carefully helped me down the steps. Edward rushed forward and kissed me deeply and the crowd was mixed with gasps and cheers.

The music started and he carefully led me around, gliding smoothly.

"You're radiant, my Love."

"You know, liars go to hell, Mr. Cullen."

He kissed my neck softly. "I promise you, I'm heaven bound. Especially once we're done here tonight."

I blushed. "Why, Mr. Cullen, are you propositioning me?"

He just chuckled. "My Love, I believe we're past that point." He ran his hand over my belly. "How is my boy this evening?"

"He's doing well."

There was a hand suddenly tapping on Edward's shoulder. "May I cut in?"

I looked to see who it was and squealed when I saw Jasper standing there.

"I guess that's a yes," Edward said with a smile, kissing my cheek and handing me over to Jasper.

I hugged him tightly and he kissed my cheek. "How is my little sister? Are they treating you well, Bells?"

"Yes, yes they are."

Rosalie

Angela and I took our places at a table, and behind us sat a pair of snide, catty women making rude comments and saying crap about our friend and Edward. I recognized the blonde, Tanya, from Edward's office. Jasper had mentioned her. She called the other one Jessica.

Both of them were unbelievably cheap looking in their designer knock-offs and department store makeup piled on top of their nasty complexions.

It was obvious from their conversation that they were status seeking, gold digging, social climbing wannabes. And that was putting it mildly.

"I can't believe her, who does she think she is? I wonder if they did paternity tests on those kids. I wouldn't be surprised if they found out they weren't his. I mean, he would actually have to have had sex and we've both proven the man has no sex drive. I bet he's gay and she's just a surrogate. Oh, look at the hot blonde guy that just cut in, that's probably his lover. Look, he's kissing her, must be…"

I'd heard enough and turned and snapped at the jealous, snippy women. "My brother is not gay and neither is Edward. He just doesn't go for skanks. Believe me; he's definitely straight. Didn't you not see that kiss? I swear, when those two get together they burn the place down. His lack of restraint is what gets her pregnant; you realize that, right? They're so hot and desperate for each other that they can't think straight, but I doubt either of you would ever have that problem with anyone."

Tanya and Jessica scowled and were about to say something when Alice walked up with Elizabeth. "Ah, I see you've met some of Edward's fan club. Rose, do you mind watching Lizzy? Jasper has asked me to dance." She was beaming with excitement.

"Of course."

Emmett had taken over dancing with Bella and was leading her carefully around the floor. I could tell he genuinely adored her and was being very gentle with her.

Jessica gasped. "Look! Now she's dancing with Mr. McCarty. She's obviously a gold digger, look at her trying to move in on my man." Talk about being delusional.

I just laughed, then was distracted as the girls quickly sat up straight and primped their ridiculous hair. I realized the reason why. Edward was coming over toward our table. He walked right past them, not even acknowledging the pair.

"Good evening, ladies, do you mind if I steal Princess Elizabeth for a dance?" His daughter giggled as he led her out.

Carlisle was dancing with Bella now, leaving Emmett free and he quickly began looking around. Once Bella pointed out where I was sitting, he made a bee line for our table.

Jessica and Tanya primped again. Could they be any more pathetic? "Hello, Mr. McCarty," Jessica said in what I was sure she thought was a seductive voice, but he didn't even notice her.

He pulled me up into his arms and kissed me. I smiled and kissed him again softly, then smirked at the girls. "I missed you, too, Emmy Bear," I said as we walked past the desperate duo. I could hear them complaining as Emmett wrapped me in his arms to dance.

"Oh, I can't believe those American tarts stealing our men!"

I winked at Angela who giggled, just shaking her head at them.

"What are you laughing at?" Tanya snapped at her and then Jessica bumped her. "Shhh, Mr. Cheney's coming; he isn't a bad catch, either."

Much to their dismay, Angela got up to meet Ben in front of the girl's table, not waiting for him to fetch her, and then she kissed him passionately.

His grin was wide and he laughed. "Wow, I didn't realize how much I really missed you until now. I'm glad to see you missed me, too," Ben said pulling her in for another searing kiss that left both of them panting before they moved to dance next to Emmett and me.

We waved to the pair of snide women as our men led us around the dance floor.

Bella

I finally made my way off the dance floor. I found a seat at the bar, my huge belly just barely fitting under it as I ordered a glass of water. My satin gown pooled around the stool like a waterfall.

I was surprised when I felt a hand on my back that I didn't recognize.

"Well, I was sorry I arrived late, but not anymore. I don't believe we've met. I'm Eric and you are…?"

I shifted away from him and he moved his hand away from me, taking the seat next to me instead.

"Bella," I said shortly.

"Can I get you a drink?"

"No, I'm fine, thank you," I said lifting my glass to him.

"So, what's a beautiful woman like you doing at a party all alone?"

"Oh, I'm not alone. My date is dancing with someone else right now."

Eric gasped in mock shock. "He left you to dance with another woman? You know, I wouldn't dare leave you alone if you were mine." He leaned in close to me and I leaned away. He was seriously invading my personal space, not to mention about to lose an appendage if he tried to put that hand on my knee.

"That's…very kind," I said trying to be polite but not encouraging.

"As amazing as you look, he should know it's not safe to leave you alone."

"Oh, he knows it's pretty safe to leave me alone. I don't stray far."

"Would you care to stray with me?"

"Eric, is it? I'm trying to be polite, Eric, so please take the hint; when I say no thanks, I mean no way."

Edward started laughing and we both turned to see him standing there smiling widely. "I told you that you look radiant, Love. They're crawling out of the woodwork to get near you tonight. Eric, I see you've met my Bella, she's absolutely charming, isn't she?"

Eric turned and looked at me again but this time I had turned away from the bar, exposing my huge baby belly and he jumped back. "You're pregnant!"

Edward laughed at the stumbling Eric and I just rolled my eyes. "No way! Edward, is there something you wanted to tell me?" I asked teasingly.

Edward just shook his head laughing, "Love, you're too hilarious." He reached a hand out to Eric, "Have you met my daughter, Elizabeth?"

"That's the other woman," I said with a smile and Eric blushed.

"Really, Love, you shouldn't give him such a hard time. He's a good friend."

"I'm not, if I'd wanted to give him a hard time I would have said yes when he asked me to stray with him and then scared him half to death with my belly."

Edward kissed my cheek. "I love you, my Bella," he said snickering at a red faced Eric.

"Care to dance, Miss Elizabeth?" Eric asked looking for an escape and slipped off with our daughter. I turned back to the bar and Edward took a seat next to me, gently tracing shapes on my back.

A firm hand patted his shoulder. "Edward! Long time no see! Well, I'm glad I finally made it through that damn traffic for this. Better late than never, ay, mate? So, what are you doing here with this vision of loveliness when rumor has it you have a daughter and a pregnant woman waiting for you back in the states?"

Edward started to set the guy straight, but I put up my hand to stop him from talking. "Who's your friend, Edward?"

"I'm Tyler and just in case you were wondering, my net worth is higher than his and I'm child free." He took my hand and kissed it, squeezing between Edward and my seats.

"Well, Tyler, as Edward can tell you, net worth will get you nowhere with me, but I believe there are a couple of gold digging skanks here that'll gladly give you head in the bathroom right over there." I pointed out Tanya and Jessica, who were still giving my friends and me the stink eye.

Tyler just laughed. "Well, aren't you the firecracker? Why don't you let me buy you a drink?"

"That's alright. I'm fine with the one I have here," I motioned to my glass of water.

He softly caressed my back, running his hand down it. His touch made me cringe and recoil.

"Tyler, if you'd like to keep your hand in good working order I suggest you keep it to yourself, I'm not above breaking it."

He smiled wider removing his hand from me. "You're quite the challenge, aren't you? Well, what did Edward here do to get the okay to touch you?"

I smiled up at him. "Fathered my children." I turned away from him and Edward helped me off the stool.

Tyler's eyes popped out. Then he heard a snicker from behind him.

Eric had returned with Elizabeth. "Well, now I don't feel so bad since I'm not the only one she did it to."

"As much as I would love to stay and entertain you gentleman, I really need to get Elizabeth off to bed. Edward, dear, would you mind helping us to her room. I still get lost in this damn place. Why on earth someone needs a house this size or this elaborate is beyond me."

Tyler smiled. "She wasn't kidding about the net worth thing, huh?"

Edward shook his head, "Nope, she wasn't, in fact I'm pretty sure it counts against me."

"It does," I stated matter-of-factly. "But I've learned to look past the stupid parties and too big houses; of course, I may change my mind if you don't get me out of here and into something more comfortable. Six freaking hours to get ready, just ridiculous."

I took Elizabeth's hand and started to walk away and I could hear them chuckle at my mumbling. I had stopped not far from them to speak with Esme when I overheard what Tyler really thought of me.

"Slumming it, Edward? I can see why, she's quite entertaining. You should have been more careful, though, now you're stuck with her. Didn't anyone ever teach you to wrap it?"

Edward lunged toward Tyler but Eric grabbed him, holding him back. I was quickly by his side. "Just ignore him, Edward." I put a calming hand on his shoulder. "He's not worth it. It's fine, just let it go."

Tyler spoke in Italian, thinking I wouldn't understand. "Yes, Edward, listen to your cheap little whore, where can I get one of those? I'll bet she takes it in the ass like a ten quid tart," he said eyeing me again smirking.

To Edward's surprise I answered Tyler back in fluent Italian. "I may be cheap but even a whore wouldn't go anywhere near something as revolting as you."

Tyler's eyebrow raised and he changed languages to Mandarin. "I see you taught your whore a new language, it still doesn't change her status."

Edward was about to answer, but I put my hand up again. "Status is something ignorant fools throw around in hopes to cover their stupidity."

Tyler smiled at me as I spoke in fluent Mandarin.

Jasper had overheard me speaking Mandarin and came over to see what was going on.

"Where did your little fling gone awry learn Mandarin? Some peace core excursion for bleeding hearts?" Tyler asked Edward in English.

Jasper stepped in glaring at Tyler. "Bella is fluent in ten languages and conversational in several more; she picked them all up voluntarily when she worked with me. Tyler Crowley, right? Your father is still suspending your trust isn't he? Practically disowned you from what I heard; something about poor moral character and questionable choices in companionship that reflected poorly on your family. Broke your mother's heart. Well, it amuses the hell out of me tell you this, Tyler. My sweet sister, Bella here, is worth more than you are several times over. You're nothing without your family's money. Technically, she trumps your status. And she certainly outclasses you by miles."

My father must have seen the look on my face because he stepped up, interrupting our conversation. "Is there a problem here, boys?"

I smiled tightly at the tuxedo clad Charlie and Edward spoke up. "No, Sir, Bella was just telling Tyler here a few interesting facts."

I could tell Charlie didn't like the way Tyler was looking at me by the way he straightened up and squared his shoulders. He knew me well enough to know I was positively livid. Tyler would be lucky if I could get my father to let him walk out of here without breaking him in half. "Well, she should also tell him that I taught her enough moves to kick his pansy ass even while she's pregnant." The group started laughing and Tyler just stood there with his jaw dropped.

Edward introduced my dad. "Tyler Crowley, this is Chief Charles Swan, Bella's father and police chief of her home town. I'm pretty sure he wasn't kidding about his daughter kicking your ass, either."

"He wasn't," I said plainly, "But I wouldn't want Esme to be upset at having his precious blue blood ruin her beautiful oriental rug." I turned to my dad. "It's late, Daddy, would you mind helping me tuck Elizabeth in for the night?"

"I would love to, sweetheart." Charlie took my arm and led me away.
