Chapter 6: Sandcastle Water Park
The next day, I met up with Sarah, James, and Henri, along with some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald at Sandcastle Water Park for a day of fun in the sun. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We listened to 98 Degrees and Lizzo prior to our day at the park. We tried everything at the park, including the waterslides Blue Tubaluba, Thunders Run, Tuber Towers, and Boardwalk Blasters, along with the lazy river and the wave pool. "The summer is flying by so fast, isn't it?" I asked everyone. "Before we know it, it will all be Christmas!" "I actually think that Christmas is one of the best holidays ever," James happily stated. "Don't you think so, Justin?" "Yes, James," Justin agreed. "Christmas is everyone's favorite holiday!" "I wish that I could go back to Christmas 2004 where we opened presents and had a nice Christmas dinner," James stated. "We should have another potluck at the church here in Duquesne!" "I guess this was just a good day to be a daredevil, Max," Henri happily stated. "Well, Henri," Max stated, "we are trying some water slides that we have not yet tried this year." "Sarah, I want to go back to 2011 when I graduated from high school and have my senior trip to Sandcastle all over again," Alex stated. "I bet you do, Alex," Sarah agreed. "That was the best trip that I ever went on, along with my band trip to Williamsburg, Virginia over Memorial Day weekend, and of course, Kennywood, which I will be talking about the next 2 weeks!" "Yes, it is very nice to go back to memories that you fondly remember and cherish, and the summer of 2023 will be remembered as one of the best by all of us," I happily agreed. "By the way, we are invited to our older client, Hannah's birthday party for mini golf at Par2Golf in Monroeville followed by lunch at Eat n' Park," Sarah stated. "The day is to be determined." "We will be there!" Alex happily stated. "Carly and I finally won some awards at the awards show last night," Sarah stated. "I got an award for Employee of the Month for July and we all got awards for winning the scavenger hunt and Field Day this past week, and Carly won the award for Best Crafts." "I am proud of you two for winning awards," Alex happily stated. "Well, I guess that we all have at least one thing that we are good at," I proudly stated. "Sarah is good at scavenger hunts, Carly is good at crafts, and Alex is good at writing journal entries." We also went to El Campesino in the Waterfront for dinner as well as buying snacks at the water park. Then, we played games like charades, obstacle course, Saran Wrap Prize Ball, and Nail Polish Spin the Bottle. After dinner, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
